We called Abel Electric regarding possibly buying a backup generator based on a neighbors recommendation. We are glad we did. Now we will no longer worry about losing power whenever there is a thunderstorm. Once the work was done, we were given a thorough demo on troubleshooting the unit. The pricing was quite reasonable too.I also appreciate their very important work to improve society wherein they help people recover from bad events/circumstances and put them on a path to good living and gainful employment.

My husband and I were considering getting a Generac and contacted Lowes about it as we get a military discount. We were promised that someone would get back to us. When my husband waited a reasonable amount of time (3 weeks), he contacted Generac directly and they contacted Abel Electric, who responded the same day. Senior Project Manager Don Clark discussed the procedure with him and the next day, Preston Devillier came down and went over everything with us. We signed the contract that day and within two weeks (there was a three-day holiday in that time period), Service Technician Howard Hornsby was here to install the Generac. It was very hot that day, but he worked continuously until he was done.We don’t have natural gas in our neighborhood, so we had to have a propane tank installed to run the generator. We called Amerigas, who told us they don’t deal with tanks just for generators. Then we called Thompson Gas, who said they’d have a scheduler call us. It was over two weeks and we didn’t hear from them. Abel called at least twice to check on the status of the gas installation. When we told them we were having problems finding a company to do it, they told us about Gala Gas. We contacted them and they were out here quickly to install a tank and then to fill it up.Last step, Preston returned and went over everything about operating the Generac. He asked us to call if we have any questions or have a problem.It was a great experience, and we’d recommend Abel Electric to anyone needing a Generac.

Havent had our Generac for long. The home owner has COPD & the threat of no air conditioning is real. Last night, for the first time since installation, the power went out. Within seconds, the entire neighborhood was black. No street lights. No nothing. Dark! Within seconds our house was back on full power! Air conditioning, refrigerators, ceiling fans, everything! When power was restored only way we knew was street lights. Absolutely seamless! Thank you!!! Wonderful people & an amazing generator!!!

Nicest tradesmen imaginable. We were referred to them by our plumber (also awesome...J Roarke in Auburn, AL). The tech from Abel Electric talked through my issue with me, and diagnosed it over the phone. It was total dumb user error. If we ever need real electrical work done, these guys are at the top of the list.

One of the best experiences with electrical work I have ever had. Had a Generac generator installed. Incredibly professional and hit every mark with regard to our initial encounter, explanation of the options and work plan, getting the job done, and follow up. Preston and his group went well above and beyond with the installation. I will definitely be using Abel Electric for all of my electrical needs in the future.

I recommend Abel Electric to anyone. My family and I had an emergency power outage on a Friday evening. One call was made and a crew was dispatch to our home. The young were VERY polite and professional. They explained what they were going to do and got the job done. I must add they did all this in the dark. Praise God for a company such as this one.

I purchased this generator in December from Abel Electric and from the time I made the inquiry to the actual install was by far the greatest experience I have ever had with a company. From Ryan taking my first call and explaining every detail to ensure I purchased the correct size, to Preston coming out and going over everything again and also coming back out to do the demo in the freezing cold, to Trey and his guys doing the actual install (they cleaned up everything and was so professional) to Don having to reschedule a couple of times due to the gas company and rain. They all made sure I was hooked up and ready to go incase we lost power during the snow storm of 2025. I highly recommend Abel and Generac!!
