    This was my first experience with Maplewood Plumbing and based on it I will definitely use them again. I had no trouble making an appointment, had plenty of reminders and a call when the tech was on his way, and he was slightly early (which I appreciated). Reggie was personable, knowledgeable, and efficient. Best of all, he finished up and charged me less than quoted since it turned out to be an easier job! Great experience!

    Weve used Maplewood Plumbing for 6 or 7 issues in our old house over the past 10 years, and have found them consistently professional and reasonable. Their staff are top-notch and never seem to gouge you. Once, they even gave us a surprise partial refund after a job that turned out to be less time-consuming than they expected.     Maplewood Plumbing is always reliable and prompt. They respond quickly and the people they send out are polite and helpful. Love the fact that I can really depend on them! These days, companies often do not even call you back. I guess they have too much business to be bothered. One day, they will need us again but it will be too late because companies like Maplewood Plumbing are doing business the right way all of the time.

    Our kitchen sink backed up on Christmas Eve, and we were panicked because we were entertaining about 30 people on Christmas Day. We contacted Maplewood plumbing and they showed up promptly, resolved the problem, and left our kitchen clean and operating. We were so grateful for their prompt, efficient, and courteous service. We will call them again!

    Excellent +++. Zak the tech that arrived on time was a very knowledgeable and professional plumber. He was able to diagnose the very confusing backed up drain problem with the tricky drain lines in my large house. Other plumbers from other companies wanted me to start opening up walls and cutting holes in drywall to get to pipes. Zak sized up the possibilitys and got to work to clear drain line with no damage to drywall. It took a while, but all is clear. He then ran camera in line to be sure all was ok. The fee was very reasonable compared to other plumbing companies I talked to. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend Maplewood Plumbing.

    Having to call a plumber can be so overwhelming so I relied on the great Google reviews here and they didnt let me down. Zak M. was my technician and he was prompt, courteous and had great communication.We needed a laundry standpipe cleaned out that had gone YEARS with no cleaning and so Zak had to work hard but he didnt give up and got us up and running again.Thank you Zak & Maplewood Plumbing for the quality work!

    Maplewood successfully installed a heat pump hot water heater. They were very responsive: proactively swapping out a unit possibly damaged in shipping, providing solutions in my 150 year old basement that lacked a floor drain, and coming back out when unexpected hiccups appeared.

    I had a plumbing emergency, early on a Monday morning, my basement was flooded! I rush to the basement to this disaster. I immediately searched and called Maplewood plumbing and they came out immediately and the plumber was so knowledgeable and quickly located the issue and unclogged it and was on his way. The price was rather affordable and I can say that everything they stated they followed thru with it with excellency, I was quite pleased with their service from beginning to the end!     Had a lot of basement plumbing work done at a reasonable price. They did a great job and finished in a timely manner and answered all of my questions. My only minor critique is that they did not clean up very well after and I have to clean a lot more down the basement before I can put my stuff back where it was. But overall had a great experience and would definitely use them again for future needs.

    10/24: Updating my rating from 9mo ago from 4 stars to 5 stars, as we had more work completed by Maplewood. Jenn and Robert have been extremely helpful in coordinating and outlining the work for their teams and making things right when they unfortunately go wrong due to the age of our home and other issues. Kevin and his crew did great work in rebuilding multiple stacks after figuring out our homes crazy configuration. Zak and Josh put a lot of work into jetting our sewer line, installing a liner, and collecting a lot of information for future necessary updates. Given the quality of work and warranties provided, plus great communication and customer service, well continue to trust Maplewood for all of our plumbing needs!First time using Maplewood Plumbing and it was a good experience! Office staff (Jenni, I think) were very helpful in reviewing our needs and coordinating the work. Provided up front costs for scoping lines. Reggie was scheduled to scope and map out our lines; called when he had an ETA and showed up on time. Very knowledgeable, explained everything hed need to do, kept us informed, and worked efficiently. Reggie deserves a raise! Also was up front with costs when two lines needed to be cleared. Awaiting a scheduled estimate for other work, but based on our initial interaction, Im confident it will go well.

    Quality Service! On-Time Arrival! Work Performed Same Day! Friendly & Experienced!I had an issue with leaking pipes and wanted to get a new whole-house shut-off valve installed because the old one was seriously corroded. My window was from 1 - 3 pm, the plumber showed up almost right at 1 pm and called before when on the way. After showing him the pipes, he got me a quote on the spot. I was expecting him to pull out a calendar and set up another appointment but instead he said I dont have my normal truck so I need to run to the shop quickly, but Ill get it done right away. He was finished quickly and the price was exactly what he quoted. Definitely recommend.

    Maplewood Plumbing was doing some work at a neighbor across from me and i asked theeir rep if he could look at and fix a challenge i had with my shut off that was identified when they put a new meter on my line! They said yes they could and i called and scheduled it! They came in and performed the fix as scheduled! It was a bit more pricey than i thought it should have been but it is done and done right! They were good to work with! I would use them again.

    Maplewood Plumbing was highly recommended and I am so glad I made the call to have them address issues with a kitchen faucet and bathtub plumbing (issues that were created in part by relying on people in the past who claim they are credible plumbers). Both Robert, estimator, and Jacob, the plumber, were incredibly patient and willing to explain the issues as they work I have a great appreciation for the depth of their knowledge. I will go back to Maplewood Plumbing should any new issues arise in this old house. Well worth the money to be satisfied.

Told me it was always good to replace the lines if doing any DIY plumbing since it never fails that they start leaking after you do any replacement.     This is an AMAZING company!!! Ive used this company before for plumbing issues and the contractor did an exceptional job replacing 2 faucets in one bathroom and replaced a shower diverter in another. I had went to 2 other companies that told me it would be hard to find replacement parts or I would have to replace the whole countertop. The cost was a lot more than I cared to pay. The contractor, Jason, l went above and beyond the work agreed upon. He also stopped a leaking faucet outside my home as well as replace the handle on another faucet outside my home. Professional and courteous! That was about 2 months ago. I had to call them again because we were experiencing water building up in my furnace room. At least 1-2 inches of water. My son sucked up the water and found that the drain in the floor was clogging up. When I called Maplewood Plumbing again, the lady told me she could send someone in 40 minutes! I almost dropped my phone!! I wasnt expecting service so fast! The contractor, Mulvaney, came out in the time frame and easily cleared up the issue and checked the other drain location in my home. The cost was lower than I expected! I was amazed. I make it my business to let anyone who needs plumbing or sewer work to call Maplewood Plumbing & Sewer.

    My basement got flooded by grey water upon heavy rains. It was devastating. I called Maplewood Plumbing & Sewer and was able to get an appointment on the next day. Joshua came to my house right on time with a 20-min notice and was attentive to the problems I was facing. Then he gave the exact quote on how much it would cost depending on the steps he would take. The cost was reasonable to me, and I agreed to proceed. He examined the underground pipes with the camera and found out the exact point where the problem was caused. He could remove the clogging by using the metal stirrer, which completely fixed my problem. And I got charged with the exact cost as Joshua told me at the beginning of the work. I am very happy that I contacted Maplewood Plumbing & Sewer and grateful for many google reviewers who left the faithful reviews on this company.

    I chose Maplewood Plumbing and Sewer due to great reviews. The work they did included placing a liner in my lateral, replacing all my deteriorating cast iron sewer pipes, installing a new dishwasher, replacing toilets replacing a kitchen faucet and installing a laundry sink.I had the opportunity to meet and speak with a number of their employees. First of all, every single employee was a pleasure to have in my home. Everyone was professional, courteous, well-mannered, eager to please and felt like “family”. These guys are the hardest working bunch I’ve encountered. They went above and beyond to assure everything was done just right, checking and double checking with each stage. I was updated regularly on their plans. Work was completed in a timely fashion and the workmanship is beautiful!     We’ve found our plumbing company!We had mediocre service from two other companies, both of which started as family-owned but then sold to /merged with multi service providers. The plumbers they sent us had limited experience, and didn’t always fix the issue, but were certainly well trained on upselling! I tried Maplewood Plumbing because they are still independently owned and had great reviews from other customers. We were so impressed with Dave, who came to our home twice. He is experienced, replaced our tub drain and cartridges in 4 faucets, and fixed a shower head that had locked up due to hard water. Bonus: for months there was a loud thump sound in our basement when we used certain fixtures in the house. Other plumbers insisted it was water hammer and charged us for repairs, but the noise continued. Dave found the issue! The water main pipe vibrated enough to hit the side of a cold air return. We appreciate the time he spent to diagnose it appropriately, took the time to explain things, and didn’t try to sell us services we didn’t need. The soldered joints are pristine, the horizontal pipe is well secured at both ends and in the middle, and the external and internal hose bibbs reflect the same clean professional skill as the copper joints. E------ is meticulous and detail oriented. Moving the old pipes location left a hole where it had been secured to the foundations stone wall, and when he repaired it with cement, he blended it into the texture of the wall. While the cement was setting, he turned to the second project; he inspected the water heater expansion tank (it was in good shape) and checked the water pressure at several points to see if it could be safely increased. It could, so he increased the pressure resulting in better cold water pressure at our kitchen and bathroom outlets.This is not the first time weve used Maplewood Plumbing and wont be the last. The service is honest, responsive, and delivered by great people. They arrive well-prepared and demonstrate pride and skill in their work. Their prices are fair. Over the 28 years weve lived in our 96-year old house, weve used a number of project and service plumbers, but only a few stand out.     The day after we came home from a 2week vacation, we had a sewer backup in our basement. I began calling companies I had used before but no one could come the same day. I finally searched on the BBB website and called Maplewoid Plumbing as they had a great rating. They sent a tech out that afternoon and he was able to open up the drain. He also flushed the pipe today as the pipe is rusted and has holes in it. We will eventually have replace the pipe but were given a 2 year warranty on the work and advice on how to prevent future buildup as the pipe from our house is smaller than the pipe to the sewer. No other company I have used gave us as much information and advice. I had gotten the Sewer lateral program from the County a couple of years ago which I had assumed fixed our problem. I’m going to have to save up to replace the smaller pipe as thus will be a major job.

    For full context, work completed was a hot water tank flush on a 38 gallon electric tank, and I paid $250. I thought that was a little steep because it was a regular scheduled appointment not an emergency situation, which might justify this price. I did spend a bit of time communicating over the phone what my issues were, I sent photos of the hot water tank setup but was never given any sort of quote or price range for service. Also, after the tech left I noticed the valve to the tank was leaking, I called him up and I was told that I would need to go to the hardware store to get a cap for it. These things happen, but I was disappointed that I paid $250 to have the tank flushed and I still had a leak that required me to leave work early so I could fix things myself. The technician was a very nice guy, and showed up promptly, these are the only reasons I didn’t leave 1 star.Update: The owner reached out to me and offered up a few options to make up for my initial experience. I since changed from 2 stars to 4. The initial impression wasnt great but the owner was willing to go above and beyond to salvage the situation and work with me to fix the problem.

    We, unfortunately, have had several plumbing problems with one involving water leaking through the walls down through the drywall basement ceiling, a broken kitchen pipe, and a broken faucet handle all within two months. We called Maplewood Plumbing due to good reviews (as our former plumber had retired) and they came within hours (for the pipe breaking in the wall) and fixed it. They also repaired the kitchen sink pipe and replaced the defective faucet. Both Aaron and his apprentices were on time and friendly. Aaron is a licensed experienced plumber and his work was checked by the StL County plumbing inspector (as required by the permit) and passed with flying colors. We were satisfied with the quality of the work and their rates. We plan to use them again but hopefully we will not see them soon. ;) Thank you.

    We had Maplewood come to assist with an addition to our basement bathroom. Before they started breaking concrete, they checked to make sure the pipes under our house were in good enough shape to be tied into. Turns out they werent. The guys stopped the job before it got started so they werent left chasing pipe and breaking up much more floor than originally anticipated and adding on hefty expenses, which we appreciated! They then took the time to get us videos of the pipes so we knew what they were saying was accurate and laid out all of the work that would need to be done. They probably got sick of us calling with all of our questions, but they were so professional and helpful. Since this turned out to be a much bigger (expensive) project than anticipated, we have unfortunately had to pause to figure out the best path forward, but I would recommend this company to anyone with plumbing needs.Note: we had other plumbers come to confirm the state of the pipes and they all agreed and if Maplewood was mentioned to any of the other plumbers, they only had good to things to say.     Ive used Maplewood Plumbing three times now. They fixed a leaky toilet, checked out my water heater (I used another vender to replace it), and fixed a burst pipe that goes to my outside hose. Its very easy to schedule an appointment. The staff and plumbers are professional and give you a rundown of what they are going to do before they do it, and then, show you what they did after and give you maintenance tips and instructions (if applicable). I was particularly impressed with my plumber Dave who fixed my burst pipe April 2023. He was professional, knowledgeable, fast, efficient, and clearly explained everything he needed to do/did and even gave me some great tips on how to prevent this issue from happening again.     I have a 70 year old house and the pipes under 2 of my bathroom sinks, which were original, were falling apart. The plumber I had been using for years had gone out of business.     I had two things fixed on two different visits. I had a major repair in the bathroom. New shower and faucet repair which had to be accessed through the wall in the next room. Also an outside faucet was damaged in the cold winter. Both items taken care of quickly and professionally. When the shower head proved to be too wide for my bathtub, the shower head was replaced with a more appropriate one at no cost. I will always use Maplewood Plumbing because I know I will be satisfied with their work.

    Maplewood was able to come out early (a Friday before my scheduled Monday) to install a water line for a new fridge and remove a stove gas line. Was really impressed that when I scheduled, they noted other times I was available so that if they had someone free I could get seen earlier. Dave was professional, explained my options really well, and got straight to work. I was really impressed when he cared enough to make sure that the water line was protected when it ran through a short cabinet, and that he filled the hole left by the gas line with some concrete. A job really well done, I couldnt be more pleased.

    John and Josh did excellent job. Cleared a kitchen stack in no time. When working to clear an obstruction from the sewer lateral, they went above and beyond making at least 10-12 attempts on a very hot August day until they were able to successfully—and on camera—push the object (a broken clean out cap blocking 90% of the lateral) into the larger MSD main line. Others might have stopped after just a couple of attempts and recommended taking out fences and bringing in a backhoe to tear up the entire back yard. Wont hesitate to call Maplewood Plumbing again.

    Started with just updating a few fixtures and during the process found the bathroom sink drain pipe was cracked and leaking into the walls. A few days later the toilet drain pipe cracked and began leaking into the basement... OMG... pipes are old cast iron and almost 100 years old... needless to say all the drain pipes were replaced including the stack.... but the plumber was so good at explaining everything... and accommodating so I only lost my bathroom for a day while they did repairs...     My husband and I are in the process of purchasing a home to use as an investment property. We wanted to check the sewers for roots or breaks, and a family member suggested Maplewood Plumbing, as he has done business with them in the past. We were able to secure an appointment for the next day. Courtney was very professional, on time, and communicated with us well. After he shared his findings re the sewer with us, including a good summary of the various options with prices, I asked for his professional recommendation. After a few questions determining how we plan to use the property, etc., Courtney recommended the basic repair, which was the least expensive option. He explained his rationale, which made total sense to us, and finished the work within the hour. I felt very comfortable discussing the work with Courtney, and feel that he dealt with us honestly and professionally. I like knowing that the people who do work for us are trustworthy. Maplewood Plumbing has earned my complete trust, and I plan to call them for help again the next time that I have plumbing issues.

Engiel did an excellent job with the install, taking great care while in our home and then explaining his work when he finished.     I had an issue with my Kitchen stack. I got quotes from three other places. I decided to wait on getting a quote from Maplewood Plumbing since I had heard good things about them and I am glad I did. First they would have been the lowest quote for the work as quoted by the other companies but they actually presented a different alternative that was 1/2 the cost without risk of additional expense. They person who quoted the work did a great job explaining my options compared to the others. And the person who did the work was awesome, polite and professional and I am very happy with the result. Customer service was great and the pricing was extremely competitive - we never felt like we were being taken advantage of.     Unfortunately I found myself in need of a plumber on two separate occasions with just over a month. First, I needed to replace my old, leaky garbage disposal (which was apparently installed wrong and needed to be sawed off). I reached out to a few companies on Angies list. The first gave me a price and date and then flaked out and I never heard from them again. The second was Maplewood Plumbing. The plumber was on time, gave a fair price and did a great job.When my kitchen sinks and dish water got backed up with water a month later, I called Maplewood Plumbing back. Again, very prompt and professional service. I knew the clog was behind the wall and the plumber gave me very detailed info and options on what needed to be done. He also gave me some tips on things I could change myself so I wouldnt have to call them back out again so soon for another issue, and tightened a few things that needed tightening at no extra charge.The service on both calls was A-1! Using a plumber is never fun but both of my experiences were extremely positive and professional. And both of the guys who came out seemed like genuinely cool people. Ill definitely continue to use Maplewood Plumbing whenever I have the need.
