Greenlink installed my solar system one year ago and I feel confident in leaving an extremely positive review. They were actively involved at every step of the process. Ill start with Austin, he is the owner and he does a great job at running his company and doing right by the customer. He has built a work place where the employees feel like family and you can tell people genuinely love working there - which makes a huge difference in outward customer service. Tom was my sales person and he was professional, explained all options, and answered my many questions. The software Greenlink uses for estimating solar panel needs was spot on. The generation was exactly what they said it was and I have had 8 months straight of negative Comed bills, which come in the form of monetary credits to your account. You then use this credit from the excess summer generation (when the sun is at its strongest) and use the credits in the winter when the panels are covered in snow or cloudy, which results in a net zero bill year round! Their in house installation team headed by Brian and Dave were amazing, arriving on time and working their butts off to install the panels in a professional and clean manner - no conduit showing, perfect alignment, everything working perfectly, tidy cleanup, and most importantly no leaks. Lee Anne was the success coordinator who did the project scheduling, rebate processing and was general contact for anything that I had questions on. They sell two kinds of systems, Solar Edge and Enphase. While it cost a little more, I choose Enphase because of the scalability and cutting edge technology used. The main difference is Solar Edge uses a central inverter (expensive and only lasts 10-12 years, make sure to get the extended warranty Greenlink offers for cheap) with power optimizers on each panel. Enphase uses microcontrollers on the back of each panel and converts DC (solar) to AC at the panel. While this is slightly less efficient by nature, its much safer than running one high voltage DC line through your attic to a central inverter in your basement. Enphase is also more future proof - if panel technology output doubles in 10 years I can simply add as few or many panels as I want where as Solar Edge you have a limit with your central inverter, youd have to possibly add another inverter or replace existing one with one that can handle higher loads. If your Solar Edge inverter goes bad, you lose all production - its a single point of failure. Enphase has no point of failure like that since at most a panel or two could go out and the rest continue on generating power. Either system comes with a user friendly app to monitor your panel generation in real time and has multiple reports to see your generation either daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, lifetime. Ultimately, choosing a system will depend on your budget and risk factors you want to take. Either system after rebates (which I received both the state and federal) will have about a 4-7 year payback time, after which it will be free electricity for the remainder of the life of the system, which is 25+ years. In summary, Greenlink is an OUTSTANDING company and has met every commitment and promise they have made. Whatever you do, DO NOT go with a lease or have some out of city/state company install your panels. You want to go with a local company that stands behind their work and will handle all rebate and warranty paperwork/replacement in a timely professional manner. I have NO REGRETS and HIGHLY recommend Greenlink. While I didnt name everybody in this review, I hope Austin passes on my appreciation to ALL the members of the team that serviced my residence. Great job! Almost forgot.... Austin is a veteran so you are also supporting a veteran owned company when choosing Greenlink. Thank you for your service Austin and keep on wowing the customers!

We were very satisfied with every aspect of Greenlinks service for our rooftop solar panel project. The salesperson was very informative and quick to respond by email without being pushy. The project coordinator and all the project team members were professional and polite. They answered all our questions about the system. They came back quickly (within a week) to fix minor issues that were identified by the City inspector after the installation. The panels were fully operational a little over 3 months after contract signing, which was in line with the timing we expected. We recommend Greenlink Solar without reservation.

The solar panels have been operating for over a year now and have been performing as expected. We chose Greenlink Energy Solutions because they gave us several equipment options, didnt put unneeded panels on the roof, filled out the tax credit forms and followed up on our behalf, coordinated with Com Ed to ensure a smooth transition, and they have a local presence. We started our inquiry early August 2023 and we were operating August 23rd. Total installation took less than a day. They monitor our system and have proactively replaced a panel that was under performing. We are very pleased. The best thing I can say is we dont know its there. Customer service and follow-up has been excellent.

After calling a dozen other companies I got discouraged about solar. All the other salesman from other companies talked like used car salesman and didnt seem trustworthy. The owner Austin and salesman Jeremy both came out after I got referred to Greenlink through a mutual friend. They were great to talk to, understood what I wanted to do and seemed eager to help me. After some back and forth with different design options we settled on a price and design. All the necessary paperwork was very transparent and they were honest with timeframes. The install went very smooth. The crews that came to my house were very friendly and helpful with my constant questions. They stayed late trying to get it done so that it didnt spill into another day. Not a single person I have dealt with at Greenlink has ever been rude or condescending. From the office staff to the installation team everyone was a pleasure to work with. They are quick to answer my calls, emails and texts. My system is working great and I am 100% sure I hired the best company for the job. I would greatly recommend this company.

Kudos to the entire Greenlink Solutions team. The entire process was seamless from beginning to end. The best part of all the work performed is the communication between the engineers and us. We had air sealing completed, blown in insulation in the attic, co detectors replaced, bathroom fan replaced, rim joints work, door sweeps and insulation for doors. etc.....We can feel a big difference and the drafts that we felt are non existent.We are very pleased with the work and the engineers were all polite, helpful and efficient. When we made the decision to go Solar, we were very anxious about the potential price tag, and having to deal with High-pressure salesman. After meeting with 4 different companies, we decided to use Greenlink. The representative we met with not only explained how Solar works, but she quickly answered any questions that we put in front of her. Everyone that we spoke with at the company seemed pleasant, knowledgeable, and responded quickly. They handled the permit process, the SREC filing, and also offered a couple of no interest options if we wanted to finance. When it came time for the installation and system set up, everyone was prompt, clean, and efficient. Working with Greenlink has been a very pleasant experience and We highly recommend their entire team to anyone considering Solar!We have a 5-acre farmette, with an average monthly electric bill of $375.00 a month. Our 72 panel system cost $14600 after the federal tax credit and SRECs. The system will “pay for itself” in 4 years!!!

I hired Greenlink to come evaluate my attic space for air sealing and insulation. They explained everything, including the science behind different aspects of efficiency and provided an estimate that was reasonable. I gave them the job and they did fantastic work, including air sealing and insulation in places I didnt think anyone could reach (whoever got into there is a wizard!)I was especially impressed by the things they did on the job that are important, but I didnt know were important until after the job was complete. These things include panels attached to the underside of the roof that ensure airflow in the attic and a box built around the scuttle to allow the full height of insulation to be blown in without it covering the hatch. The last time I saw insulation blown in, neither of these techniques were used and its easy to see that Greenlink goes the full length to get the job done right.I would use them again and again.

We used Greenlink for a second job at our home. Last year, we had them sprayfoam our rim joist in the basement - that area is a lot quieter and warmer after the work. This year, we did an attic upgrade project that involved proper venting of our bath fan, adding baffles for ventilation, removal of old insulation, air sealing, and install of new insulation. Greenlink used a blower door test before and after the project - we decreased leakiness by 54% which I am guessing will noticeably improve our energy usage. The crew was polite and kind. Kevin was organized and explained everything. Barb was super knowledgeable with the post-work inspection. Greenlink addressed any small things we noticed and corrected immediately. I do not think Ive ever had a contractor clean up so well after working in our home.

Greenlink Energy Solutions is a fantastic company. I tried to install a large (65 panel) solar system for almost two years but I just didnt trust the people selling until I talked to Greenlink.They answered every question upfront and I asked a lot of them, they quoted a state of the art system at a lower cost than all others. From the moment I signed the contract the only surprises were good ones, sooner install than promised, they found a $500 cost savings and passed on to me. They took care of all permits and the install was painless, my yard was actually cleaner when they finished. They even repaired a couple issues with my electrical service outside of their contract at no cost to me. That is the sort of thing that some other companies jump on for extra profit. Greenlink is not that type of company. Everyone at Greenlink treats you like family from the initial contact to the people installing the system and everyone in between. Best of all the system looks impressive and is performing exactly as designed and quoted. It is very refreshing to find a great company like Greenlink, I highly recommend them and in my opinion there is really no reason to call anyone else. Last but not least I am now protected from the inflation cost of electricity, they can raise the price all they want because I am no longer buying what they are selling!

We couldn’t be happier with the work that was done and we have already seen real results!The property owner went into 2 identical buildings on an 85 degree day, One the attic insulation and venting work had been completed and the other prior to work starting. There was a 14 degree temperature difference between the two identical buildings. We are very excited to let our current and prospective tenants know what work has been done and how this will reflect in saving on their heating and cooling costs!The old saying If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is does not apply here. I wasnt sure what I was going to expect with the weather insulation process. The crew (Kevin, Luis, Juan, Brody, Eric and Jose) arrived and took off running. Very professional, super friendly. They are committed 300% to provide the customer perfection and satisfaction.They took care of all the clean up inside and outside. I highly recommend Greenlink Solar. I had an excellent experience with Kyle and I am pleased with the whole process. I researched many solar companies and received quotes from many companies. Some pushed me toward leasing when I wanted to buy, some were inconsistent with communication and some had pushy salespeople that forgot to mention hidden fees. Kyle was timely with communication, honest and knowledgeable about the systems, and upfront about costs and lender fees. When there was an error calculating the estimated KWs on my proposed system, Kyle took it back to the number crunchers, they figured out the discrepancy and Greenlink was generous about fixing the error. One word of advice: when looking at pricing and loan options, be careful about low loan rates that pad the loan amount with hidden fees. Kyle was upfront about the fees that might not be apparent at first glance, and I was very impressed. Kyle and Greenlink even followed up to make sure I received the SREC payment (state incentive) and most importantly, made sure that I knew that the one year free financing was almost up, so I could avoid the lenders fees and interest. I feel good about my experience with Kyle and Greenlink and you can trust them with your solar needs.

He also introduced all the crew members and what they would be doing also. They finished when they said they would, cleaned up all the debris inside the house, and cleaned up in the garage too. The price was very reasonable and met the utilities requirements for sealing attic space. I would recommend giving them a chance to work with you on any energy savings projects you may have.

I just had an energy audit and spray foam insulation in 2 crawl spaces and cellulose in attic. The energy audit was very thorough using an infrared camera and blower door test. The auditor explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. She was very thorough and detailed. She came back a few times during different phases of the project to make sure that air leaks were addressed as the work progressed. Each phase of the project was clearly communicated and questions were encouraged. The owner and team of 5 insulators were very respectful, skilled and professional. Cost was reasonable compared to other insulators. The process was very educational for me and I was extremely happy with how smoothly the process went and the quality of the work performed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering an insulation project.

Our house was built in 1966. My wife and I moved in pre kids in 2014. We never really go in the attic, but who does? For the last 5 years we noticed drastic temperature changes in the rooms throughout our house. There were rooms that were colder or hotter depending on the season. So, I went up to the attic to check things out and common sense told me there was not enough insulation. That’s when I discovered 1 of 3 bathrooms fans were never properly vented out. That’s also where my knowledge of how to handle this situation ends. I started researching different companies, and I landed on Green Link Energy Solutions. They were local and have been in business for years. They already had great Google reviews so I made the phone call. Austin the owner picked up. That was awesome, an owner answered for a change. He wanted to check it out 1st to see what was actually going on.There are so many companies that will tell you a price, and they have never seen what they are quoting. Upon inspection, he found the other 2-bathroom vents buried in the old insulation. He confirmed that the vents were never properly vented. Also, the (Genius builder or Flipper) ran the plywood into the soffits, blocking the attics natural air intake from outside. Austin asked a few questions and walked me through multiple options. I liked this part of the experience a lot. Every option was a good solution. The options he gave me varied on how much I wanted to spend. There were options from blown insulation to spray foam. I wanted spray foam, but 2 kids made it hard to go that route.The job, was done in less than 1.5 days. Holes, seams, and gaps were all filled and sealed. It was actually amazing to see these guys go back and forth, rafter to rafter to check for any air passing through. Not only was the insulation done, but the 3-bathroom fans were properly vented through the roof. (Side note: the original fans never drew air out of the bathrooms during a shower or bath for the kids.) They installed new Panasonic Whisper Series Fans instead of the cheap apartment style ones from the original purchase of the house. All rafters were baffled which allows better directional airflow and in and out of the attic. (I now sound like I know what Im talking about because I learned a lot from this experience.)Payment options were extremely easy. They emailed everything to me which I liked a lot. They have an online bill payment system that is easy and up-to-date.Conclusion, I waited on the review because I wanted to give a realistic opinion of the work that was done. It has been several months since our attic was completely overhauled with new insulation. The 3 bathrooms no longer steam up like saunas. All of the areas in the house that were experiencing hot and cold issues have subsided. The air runs at least 60% less and while the cold season is just now upon us, I can tell this is going to make a major difference. Green link Energy Solutions went above and beyond. The crew worked tirelessly till the job was done. Friendly and professional workmanship. (This also allowed them fix the urine stain on my living room ceiling. They did not need to replace the drywall. They then painted the whole ceiling...into other rooms since there was no divide).*ventilation and air sealing to control moisture and prevent leakage. They installed new bath fan ducts (even asked me which kind I would prefer).*Repaired and replaced soffit vent.The peace of mind knowing they secured the entry points into my attic, preventing the likelihood of future infestation of our neighborhood furry friends, was The best part! It took me over a year to educate myself on going solar and go through a bunch of offers/quotes, including one recommended by my neighbor. The payback period was roughly 7-9 years for me, until I found Greenlink through Google search. I gave them a call out of excellent reviews of their happy customers. A few quick and informative email exchanges with Tom, the technician, clears up all my key questions. We reached an agreement about the size, panel product, warranties, and cost and moved on to a site visit and a final consultation meeting. They gave me a warranty of getting the state SREC incentives, which, together with the 30% federal tax credits, presented to me an excellent system with quality REC panels and Enphase inverters that pays back itself in five years. I decided to pull the trigger right there. The system was up in a month, with a smooth and clean installation process. I have been a happy customer since day one and even happier after the system has been running worry free and robustly for over half a year. I completely offset my grid electric dependence and still have a lot to spare coming out of a winter in Chicago! I am looking forward to a lot of more productive years from this system. Now with an EV, I am looking at paying back the system in about 3 -4 years. I am very glad that I went solar with Greenlink. My family is almost energy independent now and for many years to come. Greenlink assisted in removing and reinstalling our solar panel system due to roofing damage caused by wind and hail. The process was a little slow going at the onset primarily due to the insurance claim part of it. Once Greenlink understood the situation and payment terms were agreed upon the work was done as scheduled. The installers even suprised us by arriving on the scheduled day for the reinstall even though it had snowed the previous day. We had assumed because of the snow there would be a delay. However the snowfall was light and melted off for the most by early afternoon and the work was able to proceed. The installers stayed well into the evening to get the job done. Kudos to the crew for their dedication and hard work. The only hiccup was getting the inverter box reconnected to the 5G wireless monitoring system. I contacted Greenlink customer service the next day and the representative was able to provide instructions on how to get this resolved. Our system is back up and running. I was pleased with the service. And pleased with the new roof too!

Thank you all! This was an extremely pleasant experience. The second floor is finally warm and it smells amazing.A bit of background to our issue. We have been dealing w/recurrent issue of nesting raccoons in our attic; and, of course, it is not just a simple attic. The attic slopes into tight over all difficult, uncomfortable, and possibly unreachable spaces. So I was EXTREMELY anxious to hire a clean up company. This company offers clean-up, ventilation and re-insulation. The crew made believers of my husband and I. Orins earnestness and the crews efforts were the peace of mind we needed. From the moment of introduction, Orin and the team established their expertise, skill and professionalism. They ensured all of our concerns were heard but, above all, their actions reassured us that the job was being handle by definite experts. My husband and I were so relived because it meant the crew was diligently searching for all the unreachable spaces and ensuring they were being cleaned and re-insulated.

We had the attic above the living space redone. Greenlink removed all the old insulation, installed new insulation and applied spray foam after an extensive preparation procedure. Very hard working crew and very courteous. There was always a group leader or project manager available for questions. Great job! The office management was always on top of the process. Very good business model.

After obtaining multiple quotes and reading numerous customer reviews, I selected Greenlink to airseal my attic and upgrade my insulation. Every team member was great to work with. Start to finish. From Barb who initially evaluated my home, and Noah who answered my many technical questions, Amber who cheerfully answered the phone and got answers for me every time I called the office, and finally Ethan, Kevin & Kanye who performed the installation. Great job at a fair price with outstanding customer service.

Tom makes the process easy. Definitely working with him is a good choiceWe chose to go with Greenlink based on our past insulation experiences that we were happy with. It took a bit to get solar going but Greenlink takes care of just about everything from permits to applications. The equipment they used was top quality and comes with a great warranty. Make sure you get solar now (this year) to be grandfathered into 1:1 net metering before that goes away. With the fed and Illinois shines rebate 2/3 of the cost is paid for. If you plan on being in your house for a few years this is a great way to go, especially with electricity rates going up over the next 10 years due to all of the AI compute consuming so much electricity.

Although I didnt end up going with the initial roof insulation project I was contemplating, I cannot compliment GreenLink enough for how excellent a response, support and care, they put into responding to my request for information, a quote on the project, and simply taking the time to talk with me about my options, and what would be in my best interest and why! Exceptional attention to exactly what I needed. Oliva, is what I call a keeper as she was beyond professional, kind, and interested in my project and me! I never felt rushed, pressured, or that I was taking too much time with my questions, etc. I felt respected, cared about, and she gave me exactly what I needed. With that said, keep in mind by the time I reached out to them I had been MONTHS spinning about what to do re: this particular situation with my roof. My choice to not use them had nothing to do with GreenLink or what they offered, I simply decided not to undergo the big insulation project and just reroof. Now, after reading other reviews I think Ill call Olivia back to talk about solar panels!! This recent experience is the second time I have had contact with GreenLink over the years, and the first time was just as exceptional. I highly recommend this company and feel relieved and grateful to know I can reach out to them, at the top of my list, when in need!!

Found Greenlink on Angies List and they were willing to take a look at our unusual insulation issue. Austin came out for the estimate and within a week the work was completed by his team. Once they left, he called and explained exactly what they had done. I was impressed by Greenlinks customer service and their willingness to go above and beyond on our strange job. And, they all wore masks and were respectful of social distancing. Highly recommend!

Our 1986 2-story home was getting condensation coming through the upstairs ceilings because of terrible insulation. I got three estimates for insulation in my attic.One insulation guy just wanted to leave the wet insulation up there and cover it up with more insulation. NO THANKS.Another company wanted twice the price that Greenlink quoted, only difference was slightly more insulation.Greenlink matched the second companys specs for half the price. They did a great job. Very clean, respectful. Attic looks great and house is warmer.

We have loved Greenlink. You cant go wrong with them.You never have to email or call the power company, the city for permits, or the other organizations a PV system requires. THEY DO ALL THAT. Plus, we did not want to have to learn every detail of this technology but we wanted to understand our options.Tom Anderson (our sales guy) explained things to us in just the right way so it was not overwhelming and we could make good decisions. Very easy to talk to!Greenlinks communication was amazing from start to finish; questions, problems, scheduling - all great. They even can help you find a very low interest loan with a bank that does green energy loans if you need it. (your rebates will pay off most of the cost, but they might take a while to come in)The workers were so easy to have around the house, polite and CLEAN! Not just clean at the end of the job. Every day when they left, the yard was spotless. Thanks Eric!Its beautiful (mostly invisible really). It works. You can track all your progress on an app which is really fun to see how much energy you are generating. DO IT! You wont be sorry.

Austin and his crew are great people to work with. I had Greenlink install closed cell foam on my walls and roof deck and the end product is to perfection. Austin came out for the quote and walked me thru the whole process and any issues that could arise and how they would go about correcting them. I did get multiple quotes and they are not the cheapest in the area but there level of customer care and service made them the right choice. My project took just over a week to complete and every time I stopped out to see the progress the crew what working and asking if there was any areas that they need to touch up, and most importantly to me they keep everything clean. Always get multiple quotes and dont just look at the bottom dollar. As a reference another company came out to measure and quote the job and did not bring a tape measure. Will be using Greenlink again.

What a fantastic experience with the folks from Greenlink! Need more than 5 stars to show how well these fellows did on our attic insulation project. Noah came out a number of times to go over what I wanted and was very knowledgeable and kind to me to answer all my questions. The first day 4 of Greenlinks team came out and started in to remove all the old nasty insulation and reviewed and prepped the attic in the garage. Second day we had 4 more come out and added the fan in the bathroom and sealed the attic in the house. Now the temp outside was really nice during these 2 days. However it was around 110 to 120 degrees in these attics and the crew was up there doing the work completing all the needed sealing and fixes. Many people may not understand how much work and effort goes into a job like this but I use to do some of this many years ago and I know how tough this can be on a soul. These fellows spent a lot of time in the attics and when it comes to adding the blow-in insulation thats the grittiest part of the job. These guys were fantastic, zero complaining and actually were enjoying what they were doing! The crew chief for both days was Kevin and he knew what was needed to be done and who and what order things needed to be completed and keep the guys busy. Everyone of these guys was a joy to be around and would answer any and all of my questions. Honestly one of the very best crews Ive ever been around. Once they were done they did a great job cleaning up and thanked me for the business. I wanted to thank Kevin, Jaylin, Carl, Calvin, Al, James, Noah, and CJ that we will now be much more comfortable going forward. And to thank that young gal in the office Olivia for standing outside the building to help this old guy find the office since I got lost.
