New Leaf remodeling built a garage addition for us and it is exactly what we wanted. We love it. The architect, Andrew, drew up plans based on what we asked for. Don and Andy were always available to make sure work was done to our satisfaction. The job was done quickly and with minimal disruption to the neighborhood. Our house has great curb appeal now and we are happy with our decision to hire New Leaf Remodeling. -

We have called on New Leaf to rebuild our deck due to tree fall damage. They were patient with us as we worked with insurance to get this project started. Once finalized, they did a great job with detail. They were wonderful with communications on any changes and next steps. The deck they built is a major upgrade from the one we had when we bought our house. We love our deck and would recommend Don and the guys to anyone. -

It has been about 6 months that New Leaf remodeled our kitchen and laundry room. I absolutely loved our remodeled space. Kim listened and guided us throughout the design process and was able to fit in a spice cabinet for me. The construction crew was pleasant to work with especially Jason and Don. I value their attention to detail and overall pride in their work. I look forward to working with New Leaf for future remodeling needs! Just a few before and after photos of our space -

We were very nervous about a much needed remodel of our bathroom and a few other eyesores. But with New Leafs help, it turned out absolutely beautiful! Throughout the whole remodeling process of our bathroom, reflooring the house, and removing a wall in the front room, the staff at New Leaf was very responsive. They gave suggestions and listened to our ideas. And if there were hiccups or concerns along the way, they were addressed immediately. We were so pleased with the project that we are starting another this year! -

Our kitchen and main bath were recently remodeled by New Leaf. The was our first experience with remodeling and there was some nervousness about the process, unseen issues that might be found and staying within budget.Rick was great at alleviating the nerves by answering all our questions at the initial consultation. He was very patient and knowledgeable. While the remodel was underway, Rick and his expediter Andy were easy to communicate with and quick to respond. When an oversight was made, Rick was quick to take responsibility and make it right. We love the end product and would return to New Leaf with future remodeling needs. -

My husband and I bought a home in Rockford that was built in the 70s. It had never been updated. We had that wonderful wood paneling everywhere and some pretty unique wallpaper. The basement was only partially finished. We did a complete remodel from top to bottom. New Leaf did a wonderful job. They were very responsive any time we needed anything. All of their subcontractors did an amazing job. We have a beautiful new deck to replace the one that was hanging on by a thread, a completely updated kitchen, master suites upstairs and down, a proper laundry room which we didn’t have before, an office/library that is the highlight of the house in my opinion. I could go on and on. We went from that 70s show to a fantastic farmhouse feel. We truly love it. For anyone looking to remodel a single room or an entire house, I would highly recommend New Leaf. -

Review 23 (2016-03-24 - Rating: 5)
It has been a little more than a year ago (Jan./Feb. 2015) that we had New Leaf remodel two of our bathrooms. And we STILL couldnt be more pleased! From the first meeting with John to the final cleaning, New Leaf had all contractors in line to do their jobs seamlessly. (Actually, if there was waiting it was for the City of Rockford inspectors to stop by.) We were very pleased with the LOCAL businesses New Leaf used and the choices they provided for floorings, cabinets, countertop materials, fixtures, and shower designs. We had ideas of how we wanted the bathrooms remodeled, but it was Derek & Jason of Winnebago Tile, Inc. that really provided lots of ideas and suggestions that fit our particular bathrooms - that was greatly appreciated. If there is one point to bring attention to, it is the ordering of granite. We had picked out our granite a few weeks before it was installed. After the fact it becomes obvious - the granite CANNOT be cut until the cabinets are in and PRECISE measurements taken - then there is a bit of a wait. Soooo, dont expect granite to be installed the next day.New Leaf was thorough, conscientious and meticulous. They (John & Mike of New Leaf, subcontractors) treated us with respect, did not patronize us, and have been trustworthy in the time that has passed since the completion of the job.One suggestion: A pamphlet be created that describes how to care for the products installed. We got verbal instructions as the remodeling took place, but it would be nice to have it all printed in a single reference source. -

The team at New Leaf is extremely talented - both in construction and in design - and will bend over backward to deliver on your vision. Ive found them to be very responsive and easy to work with. -

Our experience with New Leaf Remodeling was exceptional throughout! Our project started with Rick. He arrived at our home to discuss the project, a bathroom remodel, and take some photos and measurements to determine feasibility. An incredibly pleasant individual! He discussed with me the project, a rough time-line and a ball park estimate on cost. When he left he said we would have a more comprehensive estimate in a few days. Shortly thereafter we reviewed the estimate and were agreeable to its cost and length of time so we signed the contract, made our first payment and waited for demolition day.Our first concern, before the project was underway, was where would we use the toilet with no toilet? Our home only has the one. Rick came through! He added on a Portable John for his guys that we could use as well. This was not a cost added onto our contract. He simply knew that we were going to need a toilet and without one this project would quickly become upsetting. As a side note we did purchase a bedside commode that we placed in an extra bedroom for night time needs. I highly recommend this if you find yourself in a similar situation. The project started and demolition was done in a day. Every person involved in our project did their best to be as unobtrusive as one can be. I would like to thank them by name, but some of the guys I only met the one time. However, a big applause for Kevin and Andy for their effectiveness and efficiency during our project.Kevin has a Bob Vila level of ability. Along with a compulsion to do great work. Every project he took on turned out spectacularly!Andy was our project manager. He would come by and check on us and the project. If there was a need for some discussion or touchup he would handle it promptly. All of the individuals for this remodel were exceptional in their ability to make our project go smoothly and satisfactory! The project timeline was for 6 weeks. Somehow, Rick was able to squeeze it into 4! Now, Ive heard others complain about how their contractor will say one thing but not come through. Not the case here! Rick and the people at New Leaf had us a usable toilet by the end of week one and a functional bathroom at the end of 4 weeks!! The project came in on time and at budget! (Cue fireworks, marching band and Mission Accomplished banner)I dont want you to come away from this review thinking that everything was sunshine and rainbows. One hiccup we had along the way was the shower walls not fitting. The measurements for the walls were correct, but how the walls would get into the room was not fully accounted for. To make this right Andy and Rick worked with us to find a solution. We needed to cut the walls. Bummer, right? However, silver lining, we added a tile border to the shower wall that we couldnt afford earlier, but could now because Rick agreed to cover whatever would have been the cost to get the wall in the bathroom offsetting the cost of the tile border. In this case some demo and restoration to a door and drywall.Second hiccup came at the very end when our shower doors arrived broken. This is not New Leafs fault!! I cannot stress this enough. Sometimes things happen. However, during your project, when these upsets do occur New Leaf will be there to make it right! All in all we definitely suggest you go with New Leaf Remodeling. You and your project will be happy that you did! -
