I called to request urgent assistance this morning due to an interior water leak. Inspection/ repair services provided for our home were executed by Briant. The company scheduled me in an open time slot for 4-6hrs from my point of contact (note: same day; did not add me to a fictitious waitlist to finally make it to me at the end of the day, following business hours). I received a call back within 20 mins from my initial call, letting me know they were sending someone for service immediately, due to a cancellation. The fact that the company recognized my concern over the phone & attentively responded with sending service to me so rapidly, upon cancellation of another client, is in and of itself, levels above the customer service found at the majority of customer-facing businesses. I received very similar service from this company 3yrs prior, during another water emergency, where a drain separated & water flowed from the first floor into the basement. The person providing service to the home on that visit, exceeded expectations. Upon Briant’s prompt arrival today, I was on a work call with my leadership. In attempt to not interrupt the direction being received, I gestured to the area I believed the leak was originating. Our service responder acted rapidly & respectfully and had the issue identified, mitigating any further damage; all before I was able to exit my call. This was an extremely critical work day & I was at peak stress levels. After my call, I was provided with options, including the pros & cons of each; this was highly appreciated. I had a list of plumbing concerns throughout areas of my home, which were addressed swiftly, and I felt my questions were responded to knowledgeably & thoroughly. The level of professionalism and expertise, as well as patience shown for my questions & work circumstances were beyond expectations. I’m very thankful for the position my home, work & family are in this evening vs. the outcomes that would’ve resulted without the level of service & support received today. Our service responder certainly deserves recognition for the ability to assist clients at peak stress levels so professionally. What a great company! Turned on our furnace a couple weeks ago and was acting funny. The first company I reached out to and Im glad i did. Turn around time for service was great and they kept in touch well. From our interactions with the Service Techs and the Salesman, everyone was super cool and down to earth while maintaining professionalism. They were realistic and honest, and understood our needs and the best way to handle our replacement furnace installation. Blakeslee & Son installed a new water heater, new water softner and filter, replaced the well pressure tank, and fixed several plumbing pipes due to aging. I never thought Id say that going through all that would be enjoyable, but it was! After watching home shows like Holmes on Homes for years, and with this being our first home, we were a bit nervous about contractors and wanted to make sure that we were informed homeowners so we asked lots of questions. Throughout the process, Blakeslee & Son, and especially Andrew, were wonderful. Every question was completely answered professionally with obvious knowledge,experience, and honesty. (If they didnt know, they would find out and get back to us. If a price seemed high, they explained why it was that way.) During the visit for the estimate, Andrew fully explained our options, what his recommendations would be and why. During installation he again explained what was being done, showed us how the systems worked and should be maintained, labeled everything, and answered every nit-picky question I could think of. The work was done in a completely professional manner, and Andrew followed up a week later to ensure that everything was completed to our satisfaction. Andrew seems to be one of those rare people who is both very proficient in his trade and can communicate well with homeowners so it became both a well-done upgrade and a learning process for us. We will not hesitate to contact Blakeslee & Son for any future work we might need done.

We were not home when the technician was there but he called us before to let us know he was on his way and he called us after to let us know he was finished. When I got home I would have never known there was someone there installing a toilet as the technician did a wonderful job cleaning up! He installed the toilet quickly and even took the old toilet we no longer wanted so we didnt have to deal with it. We were very satisfied with Blakeslee and Son and the technician who did the install.

I love this company. I recently moved to Rockford and needed a company to help me with my new home. I want to start by saying that they have an excellent program for air conditioning and furnace maintenance. It’s a really good deal as is but if you sign up it also gets you additional discounts for other services. The first time they came was for a smart thermostat installation. They did it quickly and professionally. Taught me how to use it and answered all my questions without rushing even though it was late in the day.I brought a water softener from my previous house and wanted them to see if they could install it. Before we even set up an appointment for the installation they came and explained how the water softening process works and showed me the different components of my water softener (they again took their time to explain things to me even though they had not made any money on this yet). They said that they could tell my water softener was from a “big box store” and that they only sell professional water softeners. Despite this, they didn’t try a sales pitch to sell me their specific water softeners...they were honest and said that my machine would work just fine based on the water analysis they had previously done at my house (which was totally free by the way). Again, the installation was done expeditiously and afterward they explained how to bypass the water softener in case something went wrong with the unit. My dad is a plumber who lives out of state and I showed him a video of the work. He said it was of excellent quality.I could go on and on. They are professional and know what they are doing. They communicate well via email and phone. They are always on time. They always wear a mask and shoe coverings. They have done a number of additional things at my house including installing a whole house HEPA filtration system and created a new connection for my water hose spigot. They are excellent at both HVAC and plumbing. I highly recommend them!!

We called them again when we found water leaking from under the base of a toilet on our second floor. Their representative, Andrew, was not only a very pleasant guest in our house he was also an excellent and knowledgeable service person. He pointed out a problem with the original installation that could potentially cause the same problem in our other bathrooms. Primary reason for service was to diagnose why the geo-thermal heating was on Auxiliary strip heaters. Subsequent to the call for service from Blakeslee, the well pump controls failed. When Blakeslee service repairman arrived he diagnosed the root cause, reprogrammed the thermostat so when the pump controls and the pump were serviced by a plumber, we could establish proper heating with the Aux heater backup available. The plumber was called and he replaced the faulted pump controls and checked the well pump for proper operation. Blakeslee is sending a service rep out on 2/15/2021 to check the system for proper operation and adjust parameters as necessary.We are very satisfied with the timely response and excellent service provided by all parties responding.
