    Very impressed by this company! Bill was excellent with communication and making us a priority when scheduling. He has done great work for us in the past, so we always consult him before any project. The electricians he manages are also well trained and experts at their craft. Roberto and his team did a fantastic job installing 4 Ring cameras and 3 ceiling fans at our house. His attention to detail was unmatched. The whole project was completed with care and consideration.     Great, knowledgeable, and friendly people. I was called with a two hour window day before and called again 20 minutes before arrival. JR (our electrician) quickly identified our issue and fixed it within 20 minutes. Definitely recommend!!

    Over and beyond the call of duty!! I had an emergency late on a Friday afternoon. My call to their office was handled quickly and efficiently.     RK Newman was very responsive and sent out a knowledgeable technician quickly. Brandon came out on a Sunday and helped us with an electrical emergency. He identified that Dominion Energy was sending too much electricity into our house. Dominion came out and confirmed that they are at fault for the electrical issue and are sending a crew today to fix the issue that almost caused our home to burn down.

    From the quote, to the timing coordination, to the actual install, this company has been incredibly professional, warm, and helpful. Really pleased with the work they did, how clean and respectful the team is, how timely and efficient they were. This was one of the more pleasant contracting experiences Ive had in a long time. Their quote was very reasonable, too. I will 100% call them next time I need work done.

    Extremely fast response time, the electrician very knowledgeable and professional. He also took the time to explain to me what he was doing and answer my questions. Overall 10/10 experience.Side note- I do wish the labor rate and price sheet were shared with customers for reference. The price was reasonable.

    My pool pump unexpectedly broke and I needed an electrician to install an outside outlet. I called the office and Jen was extremely friendly and scheduled an electrician that week!     Robert and Manuel did an outstanding job running some new ethernet lines around my house. They had to run lines to 3 different locations and managed to do it all with only cutting a single hole in the drywall! A different place I had quote me for the same work said they would need to cut three holes...They did a nice neat job with the cabling and left plenty of extra cable length. Really happy with the work they did. Everything is working great and they were very professional!

    We had a partial outage that took place in our home. I spoke to Ashley in office who was patient while listening to the problem we were experiencing. She was very professional in getting us set up with an appointment to have an electrician come out. JR came out early morning to care for our issue. He was very knowledgeable and personable. He took time to explain our issue and was timely in getting the job done! I would definitely refer RK Newman electrical services. Both Ashley and JR are great assets to the RK Newman team.

    We called RK Newman after a few light switches on the first floor of our home randomly stopped working. Roberto and Juan came out and were both very nice and respectful of my home, cleaned up behind themselves and most importantly fixed the problem we had with our lights!! Roberto was very knowledgeable and experienced but also friendly and personable and made my anxiety about the situation lessen considerably as he explained what he was doing and why the entire time he was here. Will definitely use them again if needed and recommend them to friends and family!

    Updated after RK went out of their way to resolve the issues noted initially. Jen went out of her way to listen and respond to my concerns (I wasn’t going to raise anything beyond the review because honestly I didn’t think anyone would care). I will update once the follow-up occurs but I do have to say that their handling of my feedback and 3-star review was exceptional. I didn’t think a company that serviced such a wide area would provide the 1:1 care that I received.

    Awesome company. Called to have my security light fixed in my yard. Was replaced, after 2 weeks it didnt work. Call the company and the very next day my light was repaired on the spot. Very professional and courteous. So glad I made the call. Beautiful!!

    We hired will and JR to check out our electrical panels and do an electrical inspection on our first home. they were both very knowledgeable and ready to answer our questions.     I had a laundry list of things that needed to be done. JR & Will were efficient and very helpful explaining what they were doing based on my requests. They truly went above and beyond getting things working and adding the GCI (I think thats what theyre called) outlets in my old home, fixing lights and getting electric into the crawlspace so I could add a dehumidifier! They arrived on time, told me it would take 4 - 5 hours which was what it took. Well worth the money.

    Overall, great experience for our residential lighting project. Process to schedule quote was easy although the person who did the quote missed our first meeting and we had to reschedule. Our electrician Casey was fantastic! Super knowledgeable, very nice. Professional. Good job cleaning up after themselves. A suggestion I have is that the quote person should have product examples about recessed lighting / flush mount lighting options because the type I was quoted looked cheap so I ended up with an increase in scope / price at the end of the job that could have been avoided.Edit: 5 stars for overall quality and finished job. I want to add that Casey went above and beyond to make the lighting improvements a success. He even added the first coat of spackling around my can lights. The reason I selected 4 stars is due to the initial quote meeting being missed. Thanks so much RK Newman we love our lights.

    I got a light switched installed back in 2020/2021 and it was giving me issues that I was unaware of.     Update 10/1. I was able to get same day service for outdoor post light installation and Casey & Cameron did a great job on the install. They also re-wired a switch for me and added a dimmer. The 2 guys that came out, JR and Jacob, were very professional & polite. Im taking off 1 star because they force you to write a review while they are still here to save $10. Yes, Im cheap enough to do that, but dont appreciate the pressure. The cost was $135 for about 8 minutes of work, which I guess thats the going rate nowadays.*update*These guys are so nice they saw a can light falling out of the ceiling on their way out of the door and they actually fixed it!     From start to finish the RK Newman team was friendly and professional. Casey and Michael were personable and knowledgeable. We needed one fan light repaired, which Casey diagnosed and fixed quickly and efficiently. We also needed three new light fixtures installed in the kitchen. Casey installed these, explaining any issues that arose, and everything was in good working order. We will definitely be working with them in the future - highly recommended!

    Not having power is never a pleasant experience, and finding an excellent electrician is never easy. However, I could not have asked for a better experience than the one RK Newman provided me.I called RK Newman at 6:30pm on a Friday to get help with a meter base replacement. Not only did they take my call at that time, but they worked the whole weekend to provide me with an estimate and set up all that was necessary for the required permitting and inspection. The professionalism, speed, and courteousness that RK Newman showed exceeded all expectations and their pricing was extremely reasonable and fair.I only wish that the type of customer service RK Newman offers was the norm. Then, perhaps life’s little challenges would be so much more pleasant and efficient.Well done RK Newman and keep your “diamond” level standards of customer service.

    Superb diagnostics by Casey on some light flickering we have been experiencing now for months. Reviewed work done prior in an attempt to resolve it (noticed one loose wire that definitely could have been root cause) but continued to research and found that a main 60a breaker powering this particular 15a/20a breaker was much warmer so changed out and has either eliminated or reduced flickering (specifically on recently installed LED ceiling lights which are more sensitive than regular lighting) completely.He also recommended the real solution - to replace the outdated electrical box altogether. Office will be sending a quote for that ASAP. Solid work at a good a price.

    Update two years later after having multiple GFI plugs and light fixtures replaced that RK installed one faulty gfi outside stopped working for reason. I called them they said they only guarantee one year. They did send someone out to fix the faulty plug for a fee. Everything else they have installed is still working fine and I can say I’m pleased.Not sure how labor is warranted when I had to pay $145 to have the faulty gfi replaced and one year warranty lets you know what kind of products you’re installing hopefully nothing gets damaged from the faulty products.

    We had a scare with a fire alarm going off randomly in the middle of the night which more then likely is now just the cause of a faulty alarm, however we did call non emergency and had the fire department come out to take a look to double check. When the fire department was here they used their heat sensing equipment and were unable to find anything out of the ordinary, they looked at the electrical panel and we all heard a noticeable buzzing noise coming from it, while they didn’t detect an abnormal amount of heat coming from the panel the fire department did recommend to keep the switch causing the buzzing noise off until it can be seen. I called RK Newman in the morning and was able to get same day service when other companies could not, RK Newman was very helpful, professional, timely, and got the job done quick with the price being very fair. The switch has been replaced and the noise has subsided which puts our minds at ease over this whole situation. I would definitely recommend this company as they were not only what I mentioned above but it was also hassle free with excellent customer service. Great company with great employees and gets the job done correctly at a fair price.

    I had no idea that RK Newman mounted TVs. I am so glad I was informed and scheduled with this company. I sent an inquiry on Facebook late Wednesday night and I was contacted by 9am the next morning. On the day of installation, Casey, the electrician, and his assistant, Max, were absolutely awesome! They arrived on time, called to inform me they were outside preparing and will be coming to my front door shortly so they wouldn’t wake anyone in the home. I have NEVER received a call from a contractor informing me of this so I was surprised and impressed! They completed a 3 hour job in 2 hours and made sure everything was clean before they left.     They came out to fix a chewed up cable and take a look at a couple other electrical issues I was having in our new home.The electrician was friendly and knowledgeable, and eager to answer questions I had about miscellaneous electrical things.Ill definitely call them next time I run into a problem or need electrical work done.
