This morning, on Saturday, we went into our basement only to discover that our water heater was leaking. We reached out to Vince, who came out the same day to replace our water heater. He did a very thorough job, fixing previous shoddy work (e.g. attaching the cold and hot water pipes to the rafters, whereas they were just dangling before). Vinces price was very reasonable, especially considering the replacement was performed on a Saturday. Additionally, he tool the time to explain certain things about the water heater and to confirm the water pressure was still reasonable once the new water heater was running.

I want to preface this by saying I don’t even live in Pittsburgh or anywhere near it. I live in Salt Lake City. I called them at 5:30pm my time which would be about 7:30pm in Pittsburgh. I got no one at the phone, but then I received a text asking if I needed any help, I just moved in to a condo built in 1910 with old cast-iron radiators and a steam vent. The steam vent has been leaking about a liter of water on the floor every day since I had moved in. Whoever was on the other line proceeded to spend 45 minutes of their time diagnosing, identifying and helping me fix the problem over the phone for no charge. This company is truly a master at their craft and if I’m ever in Pittsburgh, I will for sure be coming in to thank them personally. 10/10

One of our radiators was not heating up. We called Vince; he came over later that afternoon; and he diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly. (It was a stuck valve preventing hot water from circulating in the radiator.) He also spotted two other issues that will need to be addressed long term. Vince was responsive, professional, efficient, and most importantly, knowledgeable. He knew what he was looking for, and when he found it, he knew how to fix it quickly. We’d recommend him for any boiler or radiator issues.

Vince saved me a ton of money.We had a clog in a toilet drain pipe. I called a large plumbing company. They came out and said I had a collapsed pipe. They said I would need the bathroom floor torn up to replace the pipe and gave a 4 figure quote. Instead, I called Vince. He inspected the pipe and determined it was intact and was simply clogged. He cleared the clog and billed me less than 10% of what the big company quoted. And as a bonus, my bathroom floor doesnt need to be replaced. Thanks Vince!I recommend Vince for your plumbing needs.

Got my gas shut off because another contractor said it was leaking and wanted to charge me $10,000 to fix it(Gallice plumbing), this happened 4pm Friday afternoon. After calling other plumbers Vince was the first one out of 5 other local guys that said he would be there next day. He came when he said and fixed all the issues and I had my gas turned back on in less than 24 hours from the time it was shut off. This was amazing for me and my family considering other guys couldnt make it till Monday. Thanks again Vince.

We are very happy with Vince’s great work and cleanliness throughout the job. He’s respectful of our home and keeping shoes off in certain areas. And the costs for plumbing work from small to big have been super fair and reasonable.Vince fixed a lot of things over the last month and a half in our house. He started with a new bathtub trap to replace the odd double trap setup that was causing the bath to drain slowly. While upgrading our bathtub fixtures, he discovered our main water shutoff wasn’t working, which he came back to fix as well.With winter coming, Vince got us a new heating boiler to replace the old one that was burning dangerously. He selected an appropriately sized boiler that heats our home more comfortably than the old one. This was an unexpected cost for us, but he proposed a boiler that’s efficient and not very expensive.We also recently had a sink drain pipe left leaking after another company did some bathroom work and he was able to come on short notice and get it fixed in minutes.We would highly recommend Vince to anyone for plumbing work around the house!

We reached out to Vince after our water heater stopped working and begin leaking everywhere. We are SO thankful that we did, he is a master at his work! He was able to diagnose our problem and what we needed through pictures that we sent him before even coming on-site to our condo! When Vince came to install our new water heater he found that in fact the entire building’s water supply was completely against code, he installed our heater and told us that until the management company/HOA fixed the problem that it would only damage the water heater and that he would be happy to come back to finish the install when it was taken care of. He even fixed a small leak he found under our kitchen sink which had nothing to do with the heater!If you want someone who is a true plumbing professional and someone who really cares about their customers, call Vince!

Vince was the only plumber I could find in the area who was willing to help when my tankless water heater broke unexpectedly. Vince accidentally broke a small piece of the unit during installation but took the time to finish installing a functional, usable unit. He then waived the cost of the installation, though I would have been happy to pay his (very fair) rate since he was the only plumber I could find to help me when we had the urgent need. (Ultimately, we were able to fix the small piece ourselves since the parts took a while - backorder).

I have an old victorian row house and Vince knows all about these properties. I was able to schedule an appointment quickly, he came out and inspected my foundation plumbing. He diagnosed my issue (or rather confirmed the lack of issue) and recommended preventative solutions I might consider for the future. He sent me a copy of the video for my records later that week. He educated me on how my system works and was very detailed. His fees were very reasonable. I would definitely work with Vince Marino Plumbing again.

We looked up plumbers near our house when the our sewer backed up in our garage after a heavy rain late one evening. Vince arrived at our house within 45 minutes of speaking to him on the phone. We were very impressed by the care he took to unclog the drain and make sure that we didnt have any more issues. He instructed me to run into the house three times to flush to toilets to make sure everything was clear. We are very grateful for the service we received and feel he charged us a fair price. We will surely call Vince again if we have any further problems.

Last night we had a minor plumbing emergency with the valve shut off not working and the faucet stuck on full blast. It was late, but Vince called back right away and was actually able to troubleshoot with us over FaceTime to isolate the correct shut off in the maze of old basement pipes (faster than it would have taken any other emergency plumber to show up) and helped us avoid a sky high water bill and potentially flooding the house. Hes got our business from here on out.

Ive never had a contractor of any kind as responsive as Vince. He texts pictures and videos of the work in progress, showed up early quite often, and answered all my texted questions almost immediately. Worked with me halfway through the job to lower the project cost by cutting back on backhoe rental (because I said Id do some of the backfilling). We replaced our service line and at his spurring, got PWSA to replace their lead service line at the same time, saving us money and allowing us to be lead free. Will be using him again and recommending to friends.

I had a sewer backup issue that would occur at least once a year for at least four years. At one point it started occuring frequently. Over that period of time I had multiple plumbers and several of the sewer specialists over to address the issue. One of these companies told me the trap was broken, and I needed to replace the trap and the line that runs to the street - for $15k. I found Vince online and asked him to come out to give me a second opinion / esti!ate. Right from the start he was professional. He took video of the inside, outside lines and trap. Showed me the issue was a clog from the inside and snake out the line and solved the problem. All for a very very reasonable price. I didnt need any of the repair for $15k. Since then I have been using Vince exclusively for my plumbing needs at my properties and my wifes business. Hes also prompt, professional, very reasonably priced and provides helpful information always, including preventative maintenance recommendations. I highly recommend!

Vince was hired thru a 3rd party to investigate a source of (styrene) infiltrating my daughters house.Styrene is a sewer lining process performed in main sewer system on street. My daughter was forced to evacuate due to this process ! Vince determines that all plumbing was up to code and legal, he explained sewer system to me and offered his opinion of 30 plus yrs how this styrene odor may have entered home! To this day no one AEGION INSTIFORM has answers to it! Plumbing in this house is brand new from the basement up camera inspection reveal the same ! I highly recommend Vince to anyone with plumbing issues ! And watch out for sewer lining on your street you may be the next person forced out of your house for a month!

I had my basement drain back up today (Aug 23, 2016) and my basement was partially flooded. I called Vince and he came over within a couple hours. He managed to snake the line and cut through some roots in the line in under an hour and a half total, from arrival to departure.Vince was very professional, and talked me through the process the whole way. He was maybe a even a little too apologetic about the extra root-cutting process, making a point to show me the actual roots that we fished out, probably because some plumbers around here could fake extra problems like that to charge extra for it. He wanted to show me the proof that he was doing exactly what needed to be done.I especially like that I was able to volunteer (and stupidly ruin a pair of shoes in the process....lol, that was totally my bad) and help adjust water pressure to the hose, carry some hoses, flush toilets to clear lines, and even get in there to shovel my own....um...sewage backup into the garbage so that he could stay focused on the more important parts of the job. Im not afraid to get my hands dirty and he embraced it, saving him some time, and ultimately saving me money (at the expense of me having to take a looooong shower at the end of it all). ;)$80 all told, although I think he cut me a slight discount since I was in there trying to help.He also patiently explained some preventative maintenance tips to keep those roots at bay. Instead of what another plumber might do: Just let them go wild and have a future job ready to go in a year.Ive been shopping around for a good plumber since I bought the house ten years ago. Think I found him. I highly recommend him.I actually kinda dont want to recommend him, cause I dont want him to get crazy busy and not be available next time I need an awesome plumber, lol. But thats maybe too selfish...he definitely deserves all the jobs he can get. Remember me Vince, Im the one who helped and wrote this glowing review!

We experienced a clogged sewer line and our first quote from a different plumber was a few thousand dollars. We received a second independent quote from Vince Marino Plumbing, who fixed the clogged sewer for much less, saving us thousands of dollars! He was upfront and honest about his assessment, even pointing out all the unnecessary work other plumbers were insisting needed to be done. He was able to respond to our request for quote the same day (some other plumbers never responded) and provide service to our sewer line promptly within 48 hours (it wasnt an emergency). We are impressed with his responsiveness and low cost. I recommend his business and intend on using their services in the future.

I can’t say enough for Vince’s integrity and professionalism. We were confronted with a very steep estimate from another plumbing company and asked Vince for his opinion. He not only helped us determine it was an inflated estimate, he also helped us work with our township to make sure His analysis was consistent with local requirements. He didn’t make much off of us, but he saved us quite a bit. It is the first time I ever wanted to tip a plumber. I will never call anybody else.
