Outstanding work by Ethan & Sons Plumbers. I attempted to fix my kitchen sink on my own, but ended up with leaks in several places. I reached out to my usual plumbing service and was disappointed when they didnt respond for several hours despite leaving multiple messages. I found Ethan & Sons Plumbers through an online search and contacted them immediately. To my surprise, a real person picked up the phone! Even better, they dispatched Joe and Russell to my place within an hour. Both were extremely friendly and professional. Instead of criticizing my failed attempt at installing the sink, they complimented the progress I had made. Joe and Russell even offered some useful advice while they were working. They left the place clean and tidy after the job was done. I found their charges to be reasonable for the overall service provided. It appears Ive found my new go-to plumbers! Excellent work, guys.

Joe, Manuel, and Emmanuel are truly first-rate professionals! Our home had cast iron pipes over 50 years old that were almost entirely worn out, causing significant plumbing issues. The team at Ethan & Sons Plumbers explained the problems in clear terms and guided us through each phase of the solution. Being first-time homeowners, we found the process somewhat daunting, but we felt incredibly well-supported and learned a lot through the process. We initially wanted trenchless pipe repair to avoid the disruption of drilling into our floor. However, due to unavoidable circumstances, the team expertly figured out how to access our pipes with the least amount of disruption possible. Despite the situation, it was a pleasure having them in our home, and upon completion of the job, our house is in much better shape than before. I cant say enough good things about Emmanuel from our plumbing service. We were initially given an exorbitant quote for our water heater tank and shower faucet repair from another highly-regarded company. However, when we decided to get a second quote from our current plumber, the difference was astounding! Within an hour of our initial contact, both our tank thermostat and faucet were fixed, and all for just $400. The price was a mere fraction of what we were initially told we would have to pay. Its this exceptional level of service and professionalism that makes me almost wish I had to call a plumber more often! Were definitely going to be devoted customers for life from now on!

After Pittsburgh was hit with 4 inches of rain over a short period, I found the floor drain in my century-old basement blocked. Usually, this wouldnt be a major concern as the floor is intentionally inclined towards the center drain. But due to the obstruction, water began to accumulate, reaching a depth of a few inches. Fortunately, Russell from Ethan & Sons Plumbers was able to promptly respond to the issue. He handled the situation expertly, clearing out the drain and trap. The service was also reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to use their services again or to recommend them to others.

They gave me an estimate for an AC and furnace that was lower than what two other companies quoted for just a furnace! Plus, Im getting top-tier equipment, surpassing the brands offered in the other quotes I received. I couldnt be more pleased with my experience so far. Woke up to a terrible leak from my shower pipes on a Sunday morning. I reached out to Ethan & Sons Plumbers and within a couple of hours, Russell was at my door. Russell gave us a call to keep us updated on his arrival time and he was punctual. Upon inspection, he discovered that the leak was worse than we had anticipated, but he was very professional and reassuring, explaining the whole situation so that my spouse and I didnt feel overwhelmed. He provided us with the total cost for the repair, and we gave him the go-ahead. Russell went ahead to fetch the necessary parts and in no time, our shower was fitted with new pipes and the leakage was a thing of the past. He also identified that we werent receiving cold water due to a blockage in the cold water pipe, which he proceeded to clear. Now, we have access to cold water as well. Russells extensive knowledge and professionalism are commendable and I would highly recommend their services.

I experienced a significant leak from my toilet. I reached out to a plumbing company and within 45 minutes, they were on the scene to address the issue. The plumber, Russell, was extremely insightful and took time to explain the problem to me and what he needed to do to remedy it. After fixing the toilet, he discovered another major leak underneath the basement floor which I was not aware of. Russell quickly took action to fix this as well. The leak was draining into a utility sink so I had not noticed it. His prompt actions helped to prevent more expensive repairs down the line. I also appreciated how tidy he was, leaving very little for me to clean up after his departure.

I initially sought help from another company, who attempted to resolve the issue by using a rotorooter, costing me $800, but this didnt bring any improvement. A few weeks later, I contacted the same company again and a different technician offered a new explanation for the drainage problem. However, it was when I reached out to Ethan & Sons Plumbers that I received the real answer. Emmanuel came over and identified that the real issue was with my septic system. The tank was full to the brim, even though I had it drained just a short while ago. He pointed out that the ground around the tank lid was also soggy. It was clear that I needed to shut down the septic tank and connect my house to the sewer system. Emmanuel and his team did an excellent job of this. They also cleaned up the yard as much as possible after the work was done. I was extremely satisfied with their service.

Joe and his partner are just fantastic! They came to my rescue when I was in a real bind. I was preparing for a crucial job interview when I discovered that my hot water heater was no longer functioning. To make matters worse, I noticed a large, expanding puddle in my basement. I was terrified about how long it would take to find a plumber capable of handling the job and how much time it would take to replace the heater. I was also stressed about the situation because I was jobless for a considerable period and desperately needed a shower before my interview. When I called for help, Joes partner picked up the phone, sensed my distress, and reassured me. She promised to speak to Joe during his lunch break to see if he could swing by immediately after. They both kept their word, exceeding my expectations of a typical plumbers commitment. Joe didnt just show up; he identified the issue and resolved it right then and there. He replaced a faulty part and adjusted another, all without trying to convince me to buy a new heater or charging me exorbitantly. The cost was much less than what I could have paid for a regular plumbers estimate visit. And all this was for a first-time customer like me. I would highly recommend Ethan & Sons Plumbers for anyones plumbing and HVAC needs! HVAC: We have two units at our Pittsburgh property, and Ethan & Sons Plumbers have been exceptional in servicing and repairing both units (which they didnt initially install). We had a frustrating intermittent failure issue with one unit, a problem that kept occurring even when the technicians werent around. Despite this, Joe, Manuel, and Emmanuel were committed to diagnosing the issue. They made numerous visits, even on weekends, to assess the equipment and identify the problem. Eventually, a compressor gave out, and we decided to replace our old AC unit. Manuel assisted with this, and he was amazing. Joe was one of the technicians who came to our house for the installation, along with Emmanuel. They performed the installation and tidied up as they worked, being careful and respectful of our property. Joe and Manuel truly went above and beyond for us, demonstrating honesty, knowledge, professionalism, and kindness. Plumbing: I had an excellent experience with Ethan & Sons Plumbers. They responded promptly and planned efficiently during a minor flooding emergency. Their pricing was fair, and their communication was excellent. Emmanuel, our plumber, took the time to diagnose the problem, explore options, and ended up saving us money, time, and additional headaches. I would strongly endorse their services - they are honest and professional! Most recently, they replaced a sink for us and fixed some questionable plumbing; their work was outstanding!

Almost a month ago, we had our Rinnai tankless water heater installed by Ethan & Sons Plumbers. The entire experience was fantastic and the heater works like a dream. With six people in our home and three bathrooms, we use a lot of hot water, and now its simply endless. Considering upgrading to a tankless water heater was something we had in mind for a while. We had a functioning tank water heater, but realized its service life was coming to an end and it wasnt as efficient as when it was brand new. We had three estimates done, and what caught my attention was the varying scopes of work among the estimates. This raised some suspicions. I decided to get in touch with Rinnais customer service to help me understand the codes and installation expectations. During my conversation with the customer service rep, I emailed him the three estimates for discussion. After reviewing the estimates, he distinctly flagged the estimate by manuel from Ethan & Sons Plumbers, saying it was a text book version of what the manufacturer expects in an estimate. He advised me to do the same and call them. One issue with the other estimates was that they didnt want to create a dedicated exhaust, but instead wanted to tie the exhaust into my gas furnace in the attic. I even contacted one of the other two companies and spoke with a customer service manager about their procedure. He confirmed a dedicated exhaust was code, despite the installer saying it wasnt necessary. Im glad I didnt choose that company for a $150 savings. All the carbon monoxide detectors in our house would have been set off. I have a gas unit and, as stated, I used Rinnai which I was planning to use before finding out that joe from Ethan & Sons Plumbers also recommended the unit (as did all three estimates). In conclusion, the customer service was top-notch. From the professional and informative sales estimate to the guys doing the installation, and the post-installation customer service. As you can see, Im a satisfied customer. I dont usually write reviews, but as a typically do-it-yourself homeowner, I havent hired out too much, so I was a bit hesitant. But Im sure I was extremely fortunate in finding an outstanding company this time.

I was really nervous about the thought of repiping my entire home. i was also worried about potential slab leaks from our 30-year-old copper piping. so, i chose to get estimates from three different plumbing businesses. one of the businesses stood out, their salesperson spent a good amount of time explaining the whole process, answered all my questions, and gave me a quote right there. when the team arrived, joe, the team leader, and i did a walkthrough of the entire house, both inside and out. he then gathered his team, explained the process we had discussed, and they got to work. they completed the job in 5 hours and left the house clean, both inside and out. the following day, a patch team came and patched all the holes, inside and out, and they were done in 3 hours. i strongly recommend this plumbing business.

Had my annual plumber checkup today and was pleased that no issues were found. joe went over the updated and enhanced service contract that now comes with extra perks. its an amazing new deal that comes with no charge for dispatch calls, a britta filter for any sink i choose, a bottle of bio ben, and a camera inspection of the septic line among other things. i picked up the bottle of bio ben and had the camera inspection done. im planning on getting the britta filter next week. this is a fantastic upgrade to the already excellent plumbing service ive been receiving in pittsburgh.

From the moment I dialed their number, I could tell I was dealing with professionals! Joe had a friendly and reassuring demeanor, promising to find the right person to tackle our issue. Our home, with its age of over 60 years, has a rather shallow crawl space where the leak was located. The following morning, which happened to be the 6th day of our water being turned off, Russell showed up. Even though he was unable to reach the leak from the current access point to the crawl space, he thoroughly assessed the situation. Before he left, he gave us valuable advice on how to reach the leak and what steps to take if we managed to do so. His empathy and genuine desire to assist us was truly heartening and greatly appreciated! After an hour or so, when we had finally made the crawl space accessible, Russell returned. He promptly fixed the leak, tidied up any mess, and ensured we could kick off the New Year with flowing water! I can confidently say that I wont ever need to look for another plumbing service.
