Had a main sewer line with significant grease blockage as the line was over 50 yrs old. A large plumbing company advised replacing the complete line for $16K. I called Stahl and Dave came over, put a camera in the line and advised the line was fine and did not need replaced . He did a flex shaft cleaning and the line is now as good as 50 yrs ago, saving me a lot of money. I would recommend Stahl Plumbing and Drain over any plumbers in Pittsburgh, the job gets done right and at a fair price! 5 stars!

Called at 8am about a clogged main drain and spoke with the owner David about a solution. By 930 Corey had arrived and began work. Corey was clean, professional, personable and helpful. Despite a more persistent clog than expected, requiring him to move his equipment, he managed to clear my drain in about an hour. The pricing was explained upfront and reasonable. Very happy with their service and will not hesitate to call back or recommend them in the future.

We had Corey take a look at our sink disposal issue. He was very attentive and knowledgeable. Quickly diagnosed that the disposal was leaking from the bottom and needed replaced. He not only replaced the disposal but corrected another plumbing issue with the dishwasher attached line. He is a great communicator and is very consciences about doing the job correctly. Will call them again for our plumbing needs.

Because the company encourages doing a quick check of all of the plumbing, not just the problem area, an unknown issue with a toilet was discovered and repaired/replaced, as well. Long story short, we were having a new fridge delivered and of course nothing ever goes as planned...Stahl saved the day literally! A HUGE THANK YOU! to Mindy for taking my multiple calls, so kind and courteous! DAVID...I dont know what we would have done without you today! Let me tell you all, I probably called this place about 4/5 times due to the copper line that needed hooked to our new fridge, not only was David so kind, he was sooo patient with me. He even walked us through how to turn off the water source to our old fridge. He took the time to explain everything to us! As luck would have it our valve did not work so we had to shut off the water just to have the old fride removed. I called back again and David was able to get a team out within 30 minutes so we wouldnt be without water today! I was so happy I wanted to cry. You just dont experience this kind of service any longer! Aaron and Chris were amazing, very knowledgeable and kind! Instead of charging me a ridiculous amount, it was a fair price along with the service fee. Stahl Plumbing and Drain replaced a water heater. It happened suddenly on a Friday evening. Though they couldn’t make it over the weekend, they were here first thing Monday morning. Cory assessed the situation, explained the process and pricing. After agreeing to the terms, he went and picked up the water heater, removed the old one and installed the new. Hauled the old one away. They were done by early afternoon. They even had to remove a counter in the laundry room as it was in the way but reinstalled it as it was and you wouldn’t even know. They were polite, professional and neat. I would not hesitate to call Stahl Plumbing and Drain for other plumbing needs. Highly recommend.

We cant say enough good things about David Stahl and his team. Theyve been our go-to professional for all plumbing needs, including replacing the sewer lines below our home. Most recently, after we had the gas company come investigate a gas smell within our house, we had our gas turned off and learned that our entire interior gas line needed to be replaced on the eve of a snow storm. We called David at 10PM, and he got an estimate ready for us and arranged to have his team out first thing in the morning. He also walked us through draining our water lines so the pipes wouldnt freeze while our heat was out. Our entire gas line was replaced, and our gas was back on less than 24 hours after it was shut off.

I join the millions that hate to call a plumber. They are expensive and it typically is a service that tries to up-sell you. Stahl Plumbing is not an upsell plumbing service. This is great because you dont feel like theyre going to sell you something you dont need, they just do what you want. Its great! I have used Stahl Plumbing twice now, once for a video inspection in February and for a clogged drain today. Each time they responded same day. Cory has done both of these services and was awesome. He is polite, explains the services completely, as well as the total upfront cost of the service. He also takes the time to show the customer what issues he has found and what corrections he made during and at the end of the service. The cost of service is much better than most plumbing services around, but dont get this confused, it is still a plumbing service, which is always going to be expensive. Others charge you a service fee just to show up. Stahl is typically a little cheaper than other plumbing companies and is a good choice to save a few bucks without compromising on quality.

I cannot recommend this company and it’s employees enough. I had a plumbing issue at an inconvenient time and Mindy who answered the phone was extremely nice and helpful to my issue. She called me back immediately and had an appointment scheduled for me right away. David came out and took the time to fix the issue with my hot water tank and water pressure problem himself right away. These days it is IMPOSSIBLE to find not only service like this but people like David that are kind, patient, professional and accommodating especially when I was clearly frustrated and upset. He explained things in terms that Id understand and was able to fix our issue. He was knowledgeable, friendly and very personable. He didnt seem irritated that he was working at 11pm in sewage. He offered 2 services that may be beneficial in the future to avoid this issue from happening again, thoroughly explaining while not being pushy which I appreciated. The biggest problem with my service was that I let my home warranty company mess around for four hours before I called Stahl instead. Samantha was incredibly helpful and was able to get John to my house a little over an hour after my call. Unfortunately my issue turned out to be more complex as the damaged pipe was in a place with absolutely no access, but John was able to add an additional shut off valve so instead of having no water usable at all the only thing not working is the commode in my guest bathroom. Pricing was fair, response was far better than expected and instead of leaving me stuck until I was able to get a floor cut open John found a solution to get me to a mostly good state. While I hope I dont need a plumber anytime soon if I do I will be calling Stahl first. They could have easily walked away saying that they couldnt help me, instead they found a way to make things work, I truly appreciate that approach.

Well, the bad news is we had a s&i*uation that required us to deal with about 6 different people at Stahl...the good news is they were all amazing. Living in the South Hills at multiple different places over the years, we have seen our share of plumbers. Hands down the best group of people we have worked with - efficient, to-the-point, results driven. They answered the phone early on a Saturday and came out within the hour, tried to fix our situation, called for backup to camera and scope where we discovered a major blockage issue, all while we watched the display and they transparently shared what they were doing. Within 48 hours, they had coordinated the larger crew to come in do some excavation, repair the issue and get us operational again, cleaned up and were out of there. Absolutely fantastic experience and as they say - you have a plumbing issue? Better call Stahl!!

I bought a house in January 2022. In April that year my basement had a back up of sewage. A different plumber cleared that clog, or so I thought. A month later, it was clogged again and worse. Stahl came out the same day and cleared it as well as cleaned the sewage from my basement. They recommended that I get a new trap and pipe from the house to the street. They gave me an estimate that I took to my insurance.When they did the work, it was done as quickly as possible. They explained everything to me beofre and during the process. They were upfront with the pricing and didnt try to upcharge me. They were always friendly, polite and professional.I highly recommend this family company for your plumbing needs.

Ive recently had these guys come out to perform a Dye Test and I have to say that they were the epitome of great customer service. They were polite yet open enough to just have a friendly conversion, very accommodating, extremely respectful, and reasonably priced. The only thing that they lacked was punctuality which is very understandable especially in the service industry where things usually tend to happen that take you off track. However, they were apologetic and really made up for it in all other areas. So, Im still giving them 5 stars and Id recommend giving them a shot at your plumbing needs.

They did a whole house plumbing inspection, diagnosed the problem causing an underfloor leak from the toilet, removed the toilet, replaced the wax ring, and remounted the toilet all without waking the baby. The problem toilet shares a wall with the crib. Ten out of ten would recommend.

Corey was friendly, professional, and quickly assessed the problem. He clearly communicated what was involved in getting the drain unclogged and worked diligently to fix the situation. Once fixed, he let us know some things we could do to help prevent future issues. His professionalism and tradecraft was top notch.The price of the work was extremely fair and they were upfront about the cost before starting the work. Extremely courtesy and helpful. Had a bathroom tub slow draining and needef to call a plumber to fixed the clog. Additionally, he also showed me what to do to fix any future clogging problems then took the time to go down to the basement to explain and point-out the plumbing setup that was causing the clogging issue. First, you should know that Ive been in the construction and remodeling trade for over 30 years and Ive seen all kinds of workmanship. I was incredibly impressed by David Stahl and his crew. Id give him a 10 star rating if I could.Our situation started months ago with a clogged main sewer line. David snaked it and cleared the clog. At that time he warned us that the pipe was deteriorating and would eventually need to be replaced. Just as he predicted, the pipe clogged again. He again cleared the obstruction and at that point we hired him to replace the main sewer line. He started the job a couple of days later. This was a really tough job because there was no easy access to the basement and it is about a 75 foot walk to even get into the house. He and his crew did a nice clean job of breaking up the basement concrete which entailed jackhammers and carrying debris in buckets up stairs and out to their truck. He temped in the new sewer line the same day so that it could be used. When we looked at it the next morning we got a really bad surprise in that the trenches he had dug had completely filled with water which had been coming in under the foundation. He pumped out the water and the only thing that could be done was to install a sump pump. He broke up more concrete around the perimeter and installed the drainage pipes and the sump pump which solved that problem. He then finished the sewer line and had it inspected. After the inspection he mixed concrete and finished the trenches. There is not enough space in this review to fully describe just how much work had to be done. It was amazing. David, Cory, and Mike, worked really long hard days to complete the job. This could have been a terribly stressful experience but in the short time I got to know David, I had complete confidence in his knowledge and abilities, so I felt I didnt have to worry about how the job was going. Everything worked out well.I cant stress enough how much I appreciate his work and the professionalism of him and his crew. Top notch.Call David if you have any plumbing needs. I HIGHLY recommend him.

During one of those recent torrential downpours not only did we discover rain coming into the basement but we also had a blocked floor drain. We tried for hours to unclog it. After doing some research we called in Stahl Plumbing and Drain from Bridgeville, Pa. They sent a master plumber and an assistant to diagnose the problem. After starting on the floor drain and opening an access point. They used a camera to SHOW us additonal problems (settling and separation) developing in our terra-cotta sewer lines. Believe in me, no homeowner wants to face this massive undertaking but Stahl handled it professionally. They explained exactly what needed to be done and brought in the necessary equipment (jack hammer, small escavator, etc), the manpower and county inspector to get the job done. While everything was tore up we had them check and address any issues to the downstairs bathroom. As they pulled out old plumbing features (laundry tub and toilet) they graciously installed the new ones we purchased. Not only did they fix our plumbing problems they also addressed the point of entry of all the rain water. I can not say enough about the professionals who work for Stahl.

Stahl responded to a plumbing backup at our house and came out immediately to get started on work for us. It ended up being a very extensive job of digging part of the driveway to redo part of the exterior sewer line as well as part of the sewer line under the house. They also fixed some damaged interior plumbing and installed a new water heater while they were here. Despite the size of the job and the suddenness of us calling them, they executed it all wonderfully in less than a week. They made sure we never spent more than a couple hours without running water at most. They even went to bat for us with our home insurance company, which was crucial in helping us get the work fully covered. Overall, we were very happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone.

Stahl Plumbing came through for us during a plumbing emergency when nobody else could. We spent all day Saturday without water, waiting for return calls promised from multiple plumbers. No one called or came until we called Stahl Plumbing. Not only did David promptly answer the phone, he was at our home as promised within one hour of our call. I’m from Indiana and had to find a plumber for my elderly mother for a clogged toilet. I searched google and read the reviews and Stahl plumbing and drain had very good reviews so I went with them. I called early evening and Stahls plumbing was able to get to my mothers house and get her toilet cleared and working properly in less than 2 hours from my initial call. Very pleased with this company’s response time and their pricing.
