Always a pleasure doing business with ya! 1408 and 1410 Berry HVAC and plumbing !The young man who serviced my home on Dec 27 was awesome. He taught me and he went along ( better than YouTube with the visuals). His attention to detail was nice! He also took the time to give me estimates on replacing commodes with explanations on those as well. He’s an asset to SSH&P!!

    Technicians were reliable, friendly and professional, they also helped me to quickly problem solve an issue regarding the placement of my mini split. I rely on South Side for majority of my homes plumbing and hvac needs - they are always quick to respond and are great communicators (courtesy calls before arrival, project updates, share important information relevant to project decisions you need to make). I wouldn’t hesitate to call them - they know their stuff!!

    My water heater stopped working on a Sunday. I called many businesses and was automatically quoted a very high price for a replacement trying to make a sale rather than a service call. Finally found South Side plumbing who scheduled me for a service callAndre came he was kind and professional. He made what was a very stressful time for me a pleasant experience. He was able to find the part and rather than me waiting an additional day he went and picked the part up and returned so I did not have to wait any longer. Definitely would recommend to friends and family.

    I called South Side Plumbing around 4pm and said I had no heat and they said someone would be out the next morning. I was able to use electric heaters overnight to at least take the chill out. Early the next morning Brian called and said he would be there in about 20 minutes. And this was on Christmas Eve. He was very professional and was able to find the problem, a bad blower motor. He explained this to me and what it would cost to fix it. He went and picked a new one up and came right back and installed it and I had heat. While he was picking a new one up I looked at the disassembled parts and it was quite complex with lots of wires, the fan, etc. He took the bad motor away and cleaned up the area nicely. The cost was very fair.

    André was terrific! Arrived on time and immediately got to work - installed smart thermostats, fixed the fan, inspected the unit, and did a CO check - everything I asked, and provided additional insight to the status of my aging furnace. When the time comes to replace it, I will be using South Side for that work as well, and will REQUEST André if he is available.

    I was extremely fortunate to have had South side heating & plumbing for the installation of my new furnace. It was an extremely difficult job and I was very lucky that Tim, the project coordinator, agreed to do the job. The job was done perfectly and I couldnt be happier. The two men who did the job, Ian and Andre, were friendly, courteous, and worked hard and continuously to do a great job. They went above and beyond the call of duty.     Our water heater broke and Southside Heating and Plumbing quickly installed a new one. They called back right away to schedule the appointment for same-day service. Ryan and Douglas were friendly, answered questions, walked us through their work and they did great work!     I dealt with the owner John ahead of a critical house closing with health and safety issues. When he could not call back, then other staff members did. Then John called at beginning or end of the day, always keeping his word with an update. I could not be happier with the timeliness, expertise, and efficiency.     Another GREAT service from South Side Plumbing and Heating!! Our technician this time was Rick, and he was fantastic! He was incredibly friendly, professional, and skilled. He was able to replace our garbage disposal, fix a leaky faucet, and diagnose the issue with our water tank, all in about an hour. Our water tank wasnt able to be repaired, but he expedited the process of getting it replaced. Within hours, another incredibly friendly and professional technician Kurt was at our house getting us set up to have it repaired. Amazing, fast, and friendly service as always!

    When my 15-year-old furnace stopped running, I called the company that installed it. They said it was a bad circuit board and a cracked heat exchanger. Repairs were going to be $2800. Then I called South Side Plumbing & Heating which I have used many times. Ryan came up that very day and after checking it out, said it was a loose connection. He FIXED it for under $200.South Side Plumbing & Heating never disappoints. They know their business inside out and are honest and fair. You cannot go wrong with them.     The installation team (Ryan and others) were excellent. We had to insist on a larger AC Unit, as there was unaccounted square footage. Also surprised that there was drilling through an outside wall that was not explained when getting and signing the bid. STILL....Id recommend them highly- the price was very reasonable- definitely less than others! And the work was completed efficiently and with no worries by an excellent team of workers.     Jeremy was absolutely amazing to work with to fix our plumbing issues. We had another company assigned through our home warranty who had (likely intentionally) misdiagnosed our pipe leak and we were told they would need to open up our ceiling to find the leak. Thank god we got another opinion and made the switch to Southside Plumbing! Jeremy fixed our original issue in no time at all, which (as we thought) was not a concealed leak, he was honest, fair priced, and did excellent work. He saved our ceiling and our money! He even stayed to help me troubleshoot another issue I had suspected and was able to replace our pressure regulator in the same service call. We will be return customers and we have found our new plumbers!

    We have used SSP+H for all our plumbing and heating needs since buying our house 5 years ago or so, and they were the plumbers the prior owners used too. We have always felt well attended to by their office staff and technicians, and though calling any professionals for service certainly makes a dent in the bank account, I’ve always felt their prices were fair and that they make an effort to present the most efficient options, helping to save on labor costs when possible.Most recently, Eli and his colleagues came out for what ended up being three days of service. He updated our plumbing to include vents in several locations and capped off old terracotta lines no longer in use. He also discovered and remedied a stubborn clog. Eli was very professional and good humored despite having to return several times, especially in frigid weather. He made a significant effort to explain every step to me and my husband, and answered all of our questions fully. He made recommendations for next steps, and was clear when some of my questions could be better answered by Bill in the office, who he was also staying in close contact with. Prior to this visit, Bill spent time with me over the phone reviewing photos and taking steps to diagnose the issue, which also helped us save a bit on costs.Great service from this business: highly recommend.

John gave us options with different brands and price points. He made choosing this company a no brainer. Our AC install was by Ryan and Josh and I can’t thank them enough.     Ive used South Side Plumbing for my annual HVAC maintenance for 4 years and every time theyve come here has been a positive experience. Theyre very friendly, courteous, professional and they dont dilly dally or try to sell me on this or that. Bill sets the appointments and is always nice and helpful to talk to. Today, I called for a mechanical issue and they came right out. Ryan was the maintenance crew member who tested my furnace and replaced my thermostat and, like the others, he was nice, on time, and took care of business in a professional and workmanlike manner.

    Being new to the area and lacking recommendations for a good plumber, I reached out to a national franchise plumbing operation who came out to give me an estimate. The standard of service they provided was so egregiously bad that I decided Id rather forego having a functional bathtub instead of giving them my business. After much Google sleuthing, South Side seemed my safest bet. From calling to set up the appointment to the actual day of service, every bit of interaction was professional and downright enjoyable. Mike showed up on time and he was pleasant to have in my home, which I really value since I work from home. He diagnosed the problem right away and fixed it up without a hitch. The whole operation was quicker and more affordable than I had expected. Im seriously pleased with all of it and will happily reach out to South Side again the next time something in my fixer-upper goes soupy.

    South Side Plumbing was absolutely AMAZING! My family and I were away for the weekend. When we came home I noticed our house was cold. I called South Side Plumbing answering service. Within minutes Ryan returned my call. He walked my husband through what could be the problem. When the problem was not resolved over the phone, Ryan immediately scheduled us for service Monday morning. It was determined we need a new furnace. With the days and night hitting the low 20’s with windchills in the teens, John from South Side Plumbing did everything in his power to secure a furnace for my house. The techs did an amazing job of installing, explaining and cleaning up. They arrived on time and stayed until the house heated up. They were extremely friendly and answered any question I had.     Of course the water heater sprung a leak during the one week when my spouse was out of town, but South Side had my back -- they diagnosed the problem over the phone without being patronizing, and had a quote ready immediately.     Ive worked with South Side Plumbing twice now, and both experiences were great. From the office staff to the plumbers to the assistants, everyone was polite, efficient, and a pleasure to deal with. Jeff and Josh were were extremely careful to not get anything on my carpet or floors when installing my new water heater. My water heater is located in a really tight space which made the job a bit tough for them, but they didnt complain or use profanity while doing the job unlike other companies employees did while working in my home. At the end of the job, Jeff took the time to explain my new water heater to me as well as answer some questions I had about its placement and my furnace. South Side Plumbing is a quality company who I would (and have) recommend to friends.Update 6/25/2020: More great service from South Side Plumbing. This time fixing the drain pipe under my furnace. Called Wednesday afternoon telling them I discovered water coming under my carpet, and it was causing black mold. They had someone there the next morning. It was not something easy to get to, but he managed and resecured the platform he had to cut apart. One thing I discovered this time that I didnt realize last time (or that they didnt have last time) is that they charge a $40 travel fee if youre not in the South Side. That was kind of a bummer, but they do great work so I guess its worth it.

    Called these folks on a 90 degree day after our residential AC failed. I left a message initially and they called us back super quickly. They got to us that afternoon and repaired on the very same day. Our AC is on the roof with limited access, most HVAC repair companies would rather not service the unit up there, but Brian couldnt wait to figure out a solution.Prices were fair and we had a great time talking with the guys. Also nice to be able to support a business in our own neighborhood.Great attitudes and experience all around.

    SSPH had a fair quote for replacement of AC unit offering quality equipment and quick service. Against 3 other reputable providers quote was fairly priced(lowest) for top line brands. Better yet with challenging supply and staffing for all providers, were able to provide equipment and replacement service in less than 2 weeks. New system now installed and working better than old system ever could. Crew was able to over come fitment issues promptly and complete install and have operating before day end.

    S.Side Plumbing was professional & kind right from my initial service call. I spoke with a real person who assessed my situation. I did not have to do an initial job consult & schedule separately. The job fees and service costs were given up front. As with todays unpredictable times, I not only needed someone to come ASAP, but needed to be prepared for costs. Rick S. (Hope I got name right) was my plumber. He did an excellent job replacing my toilet and leaking faucet. Of course anything involving water, there is that what else can occur. And the what else did occur! The new faucet was leaking from the neck joint (this is my clueless description). Rick replaced the ENTIRE faucet/base/re did all the under sink pipes to accommodate the new one! As it turned out the first install was a manufacturer defect. So, South Side Plumbing did not even take the chance in re installing the same one! I plan on calling them again for any future plumbing. I will also be contacting them soon to do a well check of my furnace. I cannot say enough about how great it was to find a company that treats you like Joes corner store and sends out well-trained employees. I feel confident using them when needed.

    My furnace went out and I was left with no heat as soon as the cold weather started. I called South Side Plumbing & Heating and they sent a team right out that day. Unfortunately, my heat exchanger was ruined and I needed a new furnace. They were able to remove and install my furnace the next day. This was critical as the temperature was so cold that my pipes would have froze. The quick response was important to me and the whole team was professional, experienced, and very helpful.     Kurt was the plumber that stopped by to fix the leaky faucet. It was an old 3 part delta faucet where we got replacement parts that just didnt fix the issue. Ended up needing some of Kurts magic to address the build up of calcium and other issues that needed removed from the pipes to make the parts work. Appreciate the attention he gave it, since this old faucet has a short term need till future renovation and we werent ready for a full demo yet. Thank you Kurt! Price was appropriate. We called on Wednesday and they were able to schedule us for Friday (they called us wh something opened up on wednesday but no one was home). Would recommend them for plumbing needs! Also, if youre thinking you can do the work yourself, we tried fixing it ourselves and 3 weeks later we called and he fixed it in the hour.

    I used southside heating and plumbing twice this week (for heating AND plumbing) and was blown away by how easily they solved my problem at a great value. For heating I had a new thermostat installed that required new wiring--and in the end my old house was able to use a brand new smart thermostat.     I had two water valves replaced in my home and the plumber from South Side did a great job! He arrived on time, worked steadily all day. He was very respectful in his interactions with us, cleaned up afterwards, and took time to give me any needed explanations. For one of the valves, it involved opening up the wall behind the shower. Fortunately, there was paneling that could be removed. At the end of the day the plumber sealed up the wall and replaced the paneling perfectly. I would call them again.

    I would give them 6 stars if I could. I was selling my home and the buyer found a problem with my sewer line under the street during the inspection (I never had a plumbing problem in the house). It was my responsibility to tear up the entire street in front of the house and replace the line. I had 3 other companies give me estimates for this job and Southside was by far the least expensive (over $20,000) in one case. They were kind, did a fantastic job, and fought with the county on my behalf. They made a terrible situation and financial burden easier to handle. I would recommend this company to anybody!

    We hired South Side Plumbing to perform a dye test and a camera sewer test as required by our Borough in order to sell the house. When performing the camera test they were not able to see through to the sewer line so they knew something was wrong. Since we had been paying Columbia Gas for a sewer line protection plan, we asked South Side to hold off on any further repairs until we knew what the plan covered. They sent out a different plumber who didn’t do anything right, didn’t show up and overall delayed everything for us. We called South Side and asked for help ASAP as we were getting close to closing on the house. They responded quickly and efficiently and found the problem, which wasn’t nearly as bad as it could have been. No collapsed pipes, nothing blocked, so everything was fixed to the approval of the Couny and the Borough. During the whole process, they were in constant touch with me and since I live out of state, it was even more critical to have someone I could count on.I can’t thank them enough for all their great work, communication and promptness.

    We have used Buerkle Plumbing for many years, and they are now part of SSPH. We have used them for multiple services, including general plumbing needs, soil stack repair, new gas line installation, steam radiator testing/repair, steam boiler maintenance (for our 8 unit condo building), and most recently, installation of a ductless mini-split AC system. On the larger jobs, they provided estimates in a timely fashion that were reasonable and sufficiently detailed. With all of the jobs we have used them for, I have always found the staff to be incredibly professional, helpful and tidy. When they were installing our AC system a couple of weeks ago, we had to unexpectedly put our dog to sleep and the crew was so incredibly compassionate and understanding and it made an incredibly stressful day a bit easier. If you are looking for the least expensive service or a short term repair to just get by, look somewhere else. If you are looking for quality workmanship done right and in a timely fashion, SSPH is a great choice.

    My cat was stuck in my air vent/ductwork. Two other companies came and ran a camera through the whole system including the furnace, returns and out into the garage. Both said the cat was Not in the ventilation system.Three and a half days went by and all I could conclude since there was no sign of him in the house was that he got outside. I knew he didnt because I saw where he went into the system (the floor vent cover was pulled up) and my bedroom door was locked when he went in (overnight). So him getting out was just not possible, but nonetheless, all I could conclude was that he climbed into the black garbage bag that was in my room and I accidentally threw him in the garbage outside and that he escaped the can. Distraught, I searched for days. Finally, I heard movement under the floor of my bedroom. and my other cat did as well. I turned on the AC to see if the air was coming out of all of the vents and the one he went into had no air coming out. Every other one in the whole house did. So I called South Side Plumbing on a Sunday afternoon and Jeff was at my house with a snake camera in about an hour. From the time he walked across the threshold of my front door till the time he found that cat was less than 5 minutes. The kitty was 14 feet from the vent he went into. Right underneath my bedroom floor. We cut a bigger hole in the floor (which I had already torn up a bit to see if he was outside the ductwork but under the floor), Jeff unscrewed the duct to open it up and there was my little Jack. If I had trusted the other two companies, he would have likely died in there. Jeff literally saved the life of my cat. I could not have asked for better customer service or care. A+++++++ Thank you!
