I have used McVays services in the past primarily for plumbing issues at my residence. When I decided to replace my 30 year old Furnace I called McVay to give me an estimate. Their Customer Comfort Advisor (John) came over within two days and we discussed all of the options that I should consider. Different Furnace Makes and Models. He explained each one and the advantages and prices that they offered. I was very comfortable with the discussion I had with John on my new Furnace. I was NOT pressured to buy and I told him that I would let him know with two days. Their service options and Warranty seemed to be the best in the business. Being a long-time customer I personally feel that they gave me the best price.Needless to say that I was very comfortable with my decision to purchase my new Furnace with McVay.Bill

My ten year old furnace wouldnt ignite. Turns out the knowledge of the technician took very little time in figuring out the problem along with what parts were needed.I was so glad to have heat once again. I would recommend McVay plumbing and heating without hesitation.

This was a difficult installation of a Maytag dishwasher. Jake was prompt in arriving, curteous and competent. I especially appreciated that he checked the water pressure, which was way too high, determined that the ancient regulator was failing and couldnt be adjusted, and had the parts to replace it. He also noted that the surge tank had failed due the high pressure and replaced that as well, likely saving me from future problems. I will never again use Home Depots installation service -- based on past experiences with them, theyd have really botched up the dishwasher installation and not noticed the other problems. Advice -- go with a certified plumber.

I scheduled an appointment with McVay plumbing because of a pipe that needed to be replaced that was going to my icemaker. I was able to schedule my appointment in a timely manner. My appointment was scheduled for Wednesday, but I was contacted by Chris that they had to reschedule me because of several emergencies that they received during the day. He asked if I could reschedule for Monday, which was not convenient for me so I asked him if they could come Thursday and have me as the first appointment because I should have priority since my appointment was canceled. Chris was very accommodating and scheduled me for the first appointment, which I was very appreciative of. Chris worked with me to make sure that I was able to get the appointment as I requested. Thank you very much Chris. Great customer service.Tim B. was the technician that came to provide me with the fix to my icemaker water pipe. Tim contacted me to let me know when he would be arriving and he was spot on and on time. Tim was very personable and he explained to me what he was going to do. As well as reviewing everything that he did after he was completed with my fix. He also reviewed with me all the services that they provide. (they did install a new air conditioning unit last year into our home. At that time, I did get there yearly maintenance policy which offers a lot of add-ons ). I didn’t realize that they do electrical services as well which I may contact them in the future to do some electrical work.It’s great, knowing that they provide these services and are knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy and also in my neighborhood . Always a job well done. My questions are always answered.But, one thing that bothers me. The payment owed at the end of the techs job. First, I like that there wasnt a price hike. Second, shouldnt someone with a newer furnace pay less? There really isnt as much time spent to check and clean it. Im just wondering if that is a fair system?

We began using McVay last year for our HVAC. A few weeks ago the hot water heater went and they replaced. Additionally, they started offering a yearly service agreement that covers so much that it was well worth the money. Today, they came out to maintenance the HVAC for winter and perform an annual plumbing and electrical inspection. They were able to fix a few potential issues for us. Will and Tim were pleasant and informative. They did a great job. We are pleased with the level of service from McVay.

Wilkins Penn Joint Water Authority demanded to witness a hydrostatic test from them but made it extremely difficult to get someone from the Water Authority out to witness the test and wouldn’t say when. McVay agreed to wait for the Water Authority to become available for them to witness the test, not knowing when they’d show up (which took hours) and did not charge us any extra hours for that time. McVay puts you first when performing service.

We compared multiple companies after getting recommendations from our neighborhood list serve, friends and some contractor friends and acquaintances. We found the pricing and product offered by Arendosh to be most competitive. Rocco was very straight forward and answered all of our questions, was quite patient, and suggested some lower tech alternatives to the higher end options my husband was considering as Rocco did not feel they were necessary. We found Rocco to be incredibly knowledgeable.The installation crew (Chalmers and Robert) were wonderful. They were at our home for 3 days. They were respectful of our home, they answered all of our questions, we had no problems, we were VERY pleased with the work, AND, the clean up was great. We would highly recommend them if you can request them.They were ALL (Rocco and the installation crew - Chalmers and Robert) on time for every appointment. This is unique in our experience! And so professional.We have already recommended Arendosh to a friend who is in need of an entire system (heating and cooling) and has a complex system, is very particular and knowledgeable. AND we were referred to Arendosh from a very high end contractor who uses them alot for their jobs. The installers were professional and respectful of my house. It was raining outside and they put down sheets & towels as to not ruin my carpet. The job took a day and a half to do a replacement of both furnace and AC. Once they were done they showed me everything they did and how to replace the filters on the air cleaner. The first company I thought of was Arendosh Heating and Cooling, but didnt think they serviced our area. I found out they do service Westmoreland County. After receiving other estimates, Rocco from McVay and Arendosh gave us an estimate.We wanted quality, experience, and fairness. We thought we did our homework, but Rocco, their sales rep, surprised us. He has been in the business for years. He did installations, and now is in sales. He could answer all our questions inside and out. He was very patient, and we never felt rushed.He gave us suggestions that saved our budget, so we got the furnace we wanted. Who knew you could change your temperature from your cell phone!He was on time, and responded asap with all questions.Now to the installation process!.. Chris and Dalton were excellent in the process. They, also, had many years of experience and knowledge. Chris and Dalton explained everything and answered all questions. They were punctual. They put down covers on the flooring. They cleaned up ever little speck of dirt. Both of them never took a break in the two days of installation. There was a third person one day, but we cant remember his name.(so sorry)Customer service above and beyond is what we got. Everything is working well!! Rocco the sales rep. was knowledgeable and spent time looking over my project for best placement of units, and size. He explained the system and totally blew away the other HVAC service reps that came (they never once even pulled there tape out). Rocco noticed I had a dryer vent out side that totally changed where I thought the unit would be. He quoted me a price while he was there and I had them up and running in 2 weeks. His price was under 2 other competitors. The install guys Walt and Nate were extremely professional and took care on how the units were mounted, the outside unit faces a busy street and they did an excellent job on the install. I am very knowledgeable in the construction field so I know what to look for. Walt took time and was training Nate. Nate was young and eager to learn. All aspect of this company for my service was off the charts in my book. I highly recommend them.

In the month of January I recently had a water heater installed by Gary and Dan provided by the amazing Action Housing program , Gary and Dan provided excellent service and were very informative about the ins and outs of the water heater , throughout the night the water heater began leaking and it only took techs Adam and Kelsey 1 hour for arrival and around 15 mins to fix the leakage with a thorough explanation as to why the pipe was leaking.Very grateful for the techs and Administration who work at the Arendosh/McVay Company providing excellent and brief service.

Continuing saga of the furnace: Chris, Dalton, and Gary were here July 11 and 12 to replace the furnace and air conditioner. They arrived at the time they said they would, were very careful while working, and fully addressed any questions or concerns that we had. We tried the furnace once and it seems ok (who wants to test it when temperatures are in the 90s?!?!?) but I can say the air conditioner works like a charm.We began the work to have the furnace and air conditioner replaced. Rocco was here on 4/24/23. He took the time to understand our heating/cooling needs. He checked the existing furnace and air conditioner. In addition, we asked him to check the attic ventilation, since we are getting a new roof and wanted to make sure the vents/fans/etc. would be consistent with requirements to optimize the heating/cooling systems. He answered our questions and encouraged us to reach out to him if we have additional questions.We still refuse to let this old furnace die. Had additional problems yesterday. This time they sent us Zach B. He was as professional and thorough as the others that came before him.He was able to pinpoint the problem and took care of it. Finally, by showing us videos of the internals of our furnace, he was able to emphasize that this 33 year old furnace is at the end of life.I am accepting that the furnace has to be replaced this summer, and will go thru this company to replace it.Started having problems with an old furnace. Jacob conducted a thorough diagnostic and pinpointed the problem. When we stated we preferred to repair rather than replace at this time he carried that message back to his company. There was no hard sale to persuade us to replace. Within 2 days they found a replacement part and Robert arrived to fix the furnace and confirm all was working. Both Jacob and Robert were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with.

Identical equipment, brand and scope of service. John came out to do the initial assessment and worked with us on the price. John was informative and gave us options. I had already done quite a bit of homework on Bryants current product line. Wanted to stick with Bryant because our previous furnace and A/C systems were 29 YEARS OLD and still working!!Arendosh was less expensive than their competition. John was genuine, courteous and professional as well. It has now been 3 months with no issues or concerns.
