Honest, reliable and really in it to make sure his customers are taken care of and beyond, he not only snaked our outside lines and explained how everything worked, he even helped us with our game plan to get things fixed correctly. He was able to provide a referral to an honest plumber too, who was also prompt and courteous. Can’t say enough about Eddie and Universal Drain Cleaners. Same day service to fix a backed up kitchen sink and very reasonable pricing. Eddie taught me more about how to keep my single family house drains from backing up that I knew in the last 30 years, all why fixing the problem.I had one of the valley’s premier plumbing services out earlier for over an hour and the couldn’t fix the problem and wanted to upcharge me 4x what Universal did. Eddie is my go to guy for plumbing and drain cleaning now. Not only are his prices more than reasonable; he knows everything there is to know about septic systems and the specifics behind the problem you’re having. He’s been servicing the valley since the 90’s with plumbing and drain services and is the best guy I’ve had come out for any plumbing issue. He doesn’t just hand you the bill and leave, he takes time explaining the issue you’re having and how to fix it properly so you can eliminate the issue. He is 100% your go to guy!!

We live in an older house in central Phoenix near Metro Center. Our main line to the sewer was plugged and our kitchen sink and laundry drains were backed up. I called Eddy early on Monday and he said he was booked until late afternoon. He showed up around 5 p.m., and because we didnt have a clean out port on the ground, Eddy had to do it the hard way...up on the roof. The problem in the main sewer line was more severe that we thought, but Eddy stayed on the roof with his equipment, until almost 8 p.m. that night. He got the blockage taken care of, and after finishing on the roof, gave us some great tips to prevent the problem from recurring. I highly recommend Universal Drain Cleaners to anyone needing drain cleaning for a reasonable price!

Eddie came the same day ran the snake (Roto) from my roof and cleared my toilets and showers. Not only did he do a great job but also explained the problem with old homes with newer toilets. Dont call anyone else! Eddie is the best! We have a unique plumbing layout for our mother-in-law suite addition to our 50-year-old home. The plumbing was not joined to the main home. Instead, the pipe comes from the addition and wraps around the home out to the street to the main sewer. The piping travels at least 150 feet and can get clog anywhere in this line. Eddie always gets it unplugged. He has helped us with suggestions on getting more water down the pipe to keep things moving. He really is the best and very reasonable with his prices. Very honest guy! Added bonus is he knows the best pizza place to go to in the hood. Thanks Eddie!

Wow! Eddie just saved us from spending thousands on a new sewer line, which we were told we needed by a large company. The expense and inconvenience would have been huge! Without any doubt Eddy is the most trustworthy, resourceful, and professional person in the plumbing business I have ever had the extreme pleasure to have worked with. He saved us over $30,000 by showing and explaining to us an alternative and successful ways to repair and fix our plumbing problems. We were ready to commit to a complete sewer repair before Eddy suggested we wait until he could evaluate the situation. He spent over 2 hours clearing all our lines and detailing everything that needed to be done, including asking me to observe what he was doing. He even spent a lot of time explaining why drains get clogged and how to prevent that from happening. Running a load of wash and my kitchen sink started to back up and water pouring out from the laundry room. So glad I called Universal Drain Cleaners. Edy came out within the hour (on a Friday night when Diamondbacks were in a playoff game) and quickly fixed the clogged drain. And he explained everything about the plumbing in my 1971 home and how the newer water saving products aren’t equipped to handle the long plumbing run out to our alley- he showed me exactly what to do to help compensate so that I won’t have clogs in the future. Had two bathroom sink drains clogged. Not the first time its happened but its been a tough project for plumbers in the past. I was looking for a drain cleaner specifically and came across great reviews for Universal Drain Cleaners. Eddy was able to come out the next day and was done with the job in about 10 minutes. He explained why the clogging is happening and what we could do to help prevent it from happening again. I was very impressed with his experience and knowledge. Plus hes just a nice guy. I will definitely use him again should I have drain issues. He also gave me a name of a plumber that hes worked with. I had a clog in my primary bathroom causing the sink, shower, or toilet to fill with water when water was running from one of these sources. One plumber came out and said theyd have to install a cleanout by cutting a hole in the wall 2x2 feet and it would cost $1200. I called Eddie who came out the same day. I appreciated how thorough he was in assessing my particular plumbing system at my property. He walked around my property, asked questions about the house, my past experiences, and then went on the roof (something other plumbers refused to do). He used a snake to clear my clog. He finished in about 15 minutes time at my house and not only fixed my problem, he educated me on how to prevent the problem in the future. Instead of spending $1200, I spent $200. If you have a clog and cant clear it, just call Eddie - dont waste your time with others. I highly recommend.

Eddie at Universal Drain Cleaners has been my go to drain guy for many years. He is simply amazing.When your toilet is clogged you need help right away. He always answers my call, arrives on time, and fixes the problem quickly. He has great knowledge of plumbing systems old and new (including my 1940’s house). He takes his time telling you what the problem is so that you understand what is going on in your pipes.Unlike some, he also lets you know best practices and preventative measures to take so you do not need him again. I trust him. He has my best interest at heart. My problem is roots (that I choose to procrastinate fixing because I love my plants and am cheap!). Hence, I have needed Universal Drain Cleaners multiple times over the years. But on advice from Universal I have reduced my drain problems significantly.Once I tried a different company. I ended up having to call Universal Drain Cleaners to fix the original problem plus the problem the other company caused while pretending to know what they were doing. The other company charged me much more than they originally quoted for uncompleted work and their mistakes. Eddie charged me his regular affordable charge and made my worries evaporate. That one visit alone saved me so much stress and headache I silently thank him every time I see my bathroom. That is how awesome Eddie and Universal Drain Cleaners are!

I would give Universal Drain more than five stars if I could. I have had them out several times over the years to clear our kitchen, bathroom, and washing machine problems, even on two holidays when we had total clogs in the kitchen. They can usually schedule us the same day or the next day, including in the evening. Eddie, the owner, has so much knowledge of drain systems that he has yet to be defeated by our very old house. I am so lucky to have found Ed. He is by far the best at his trade. I had initially called Rooter Rangers (after spending about $1000) and was told that I would need another $4k to jack hammer the house to replace the pipe with the object lodged. They spent maybe 5 mins trying to clear it.Then Ed came and actually did what a real plumber was supposed to do. He spent almost 4 hours pushing the object all the way to the main sewer and resolved our issue and for a fraction of the cost.Don’t use the quick rooter ranges, use real professionals like Ed. He will get the job done and done right.

I had a clogged sink and was referred to call Universal Drain Cleaners. Eddy was able to come out that same day. Not only did he quickly unclog the drain, he provided a ton of helpful information and demonstrated a strong foundation of knowledge on the subject. Price was reasonable, and Eddy seemed to really care about the customer by providing expert advice on preventive measures that other plumbers either don’t know about or would rather not tell you. He has many years of experience on older and newer homes alike. I would highly recommend using his services for any drain issues in your home.

Delayed review due to the holidays but they wouldnt have been near as enjoyable without the drain cleaning service Ed provided a couple of weeks ago! I called his # in the eve based on reviews and he was quick to answer, listened to the issues, and scheduled me. He showed up on time and actually did an additional drain. Great service and tons of expertise. Super nice guy who provides tips and tricks to keeping the drains clear in the future. I was very fortunate to come across Eddie from Universal Drain Cleaners. My clients ran into a nightmare the day they took possession of their new home. Their daughter had taken a shower upstairs and then noticed a huge leak, and came all the way out to the exterior of the home. It really put a huge fear in my clients and just thought the worst thing EVER! It’s so hard to trust any repair man these days, and can really be taken advantage of. But that did not happen with Eddie, he really went above and beyond! He took my call right away, came within the hour and fixed the problem for $140. It went from being so horrible and scary at one point, to just THANK GOD WE CAME ACROSS THIS HONEST MAN! I can’t say enough great things about this company and what an amazing experience we had. We’re so happy we found Eddie. When our 1940’s historical home kitchen sink clogged up, an hour of me plunging did not work. We called a popular plumbing business in Phoenix that we have used in the past. They could not get their rooter snake past 5 feet from the sink. They said it was the pipe under our floor that has collapsed and would cost $2700 to jack hammer up a 3x3 foot square in our kitchen to access the drain and repair it and that would take a few days of work. They told me that the plumbing is bad in the Willo Neighborhood and that it will just happen going forward. So I paid them $220 and my sink was still clogged. That’s when I decided to ask for a second opinion.My wife found Eddie on NextDoor who had great recommendations so we called him. Eddie promptly returned our call, talked with us for about 15 mins, told us about his experience with historical homes. He sounded really confident that he could fix anything; very experienced sales pitch. I am a general skeptic, but he sold me over the phone with a no-surprises price to come out. He was available the next day and said he would text me when he was in the neighborhood, which he did and gave me an hour notification in advance. He showed up, took command of the situation, grabbed his equipment, easily got past the 5 foot block (that the other company said was a collapsed pipe), but the 50-foot snake did not solve the issue. So he grabbed the heavy artillery out of his truck, went up on the roof (which the other company did not do), worked for about 15 mins, and the drain came unplugged. He even let me make a short video of him explaining what happened and how to prevent it in the future, which I requested so that I could show my kids what not to do in the future.In the end Eddie said my pipes were just fine. He fixed the issue for a total cost that that was less than what the other plumbing company charged me for doing nothing. I just wonder what the other company would have done if I had not found Eddie - dig up my floor, see that there was nothing wrong, pretend that there was something wrong, pretend to fix it, charge me a couple grand, move on to the next stooge. I have had Ed to my home 2 times for 2 different problems.1st time I had clogged sink on Mothers Day and called a big box company who came out and said I had a broken pipe underground and cost to fix approx. $15,000...they would tear out half kitchen wall+ jackhammer concrete outside next to my pool. Cost did not include repair of wall+concrete. I REALLY BELIEVED THEM. My sister said get 2nd opinion.
