Quality installation, great price, okay communication.Two EV chargers were installed in my garage, which also required a meter upgrade.On there communication:• Current Electric was very helpful during while getting a quote, providing a clear options for the installation.• The day of the installation, the power needed to be off at the house. While I knew the power needed to be cut at some point, it was not made explicitly clear that it would happen that day, nor that it would be cut for the whole day.• During the installation, one of the installers broke a couple of things (Troy B.; a light bulb, a wall mount for my modem), and while minor, I was not informed at any point.• The plastic covers for the EV chargers were swapped, so the chargers had the wrong serial numbers. Current Electric did come back out and corrected the mistake.• They quoted that the chargers would be on one breaker, with the chargers sharing power. They instead installed each charger on a separate breaker. While they didnt do the work as quoted, the way it is installed is actually better for me, so Im not complaining.Overall, I would still go with Current Electric, due largely to their economical pricing.

We are very satisfied customers of current electric systems. The entire staff is highly professional and very nice to work with. They take the time to do a very thorough assessment of the job in order to provide an accurate estimate. Their follow up and follow through is second to none. The team that came to our home to do the installation of several lighting projects was very easy to work with and did a great job. We will hire them with no hesitation for our next electrical needs.

Current came out to do our residential service upgrade from 100A to 200A, and panel replacement in a 120 year old house.The crew were all friendly, professional, and communicated well. They wrapped up the work in a single day, including moving the aerial service entrance to a different location on the house.Their work was neatly done, and well-organized. Troy, who was working on the panel rewiring, even carefully tracked which circuits he moved from our old scheme and gave us a mapping of which breakers they had moved to. They cleaned up well. I purchased a new Hot Spring spa and Current was one of the recommended electric contractors. I can’t say enough about the knowledge and work. Troy and Decklin are the best. Troy had to come back the next day to fix a problem and was prompt, courteous, and diagnosed the issue quickly.

The folks at Current Electric Systems provided excellent service at every step of the process. After I submitted a request online, Beth followed up quickly to help answer my questions and get the process started. She also helped schedule the work as early as possible after I was ready. The crew showed up on time and worked through multiple projects quickly (three new indoor and outdoor receptacles, as well as a new service and EV charger installation). The finished results look great. I will definitely work with Current Electric Systems the next time I need electrical work done.

Cannot say enough positive things about Current Electric Systems! Great communication, great install team, and great customer service. After our install, the dryer wasnt working. They sent a crew member out the next day and he discovered the wires inside the dryer were overheating & our terminal port was starting to melt; the issue was not at all related to the work they did, but he took it upon himself to find the root cause which saved us a lot of money and possibly our house/lives! We will use them for any future projects and highly recommend them to others.

Their knowledge of electrical and lighting systems is one of the best in town. I have used them in my home and recommended to 4 clients. They can retrofit an entire home in LED or move an outlet. I live in a 20-unit condo building that is 100 years old. Current Electric upgraded the feeder wires from the basement to my 3rd floor unit, demod my old fuse box, installed a new circuit panel, and added 2 dedicated circuits for my window AC units. They worked hard and did the job in a day and a half, making sure I had power between day 1 and 2. They were respectful and professional and left the place as clean as can be expected when dealing with old plaster walls and ceilings. I will not hesitate to call on them again for future electrical needs.

My 100 year old detached garage had to be replaced. I had a garage specialist build a new one but I wanted an electrician that had experience with electric car charging stations to do the whole project. Currents staff from Jason to Zach to the apprentices to Beth at the office were all terrific. Inevitably in any complex project there complications. The conduits from the original garage to the house had been made inaccessible during a previous remodeling. These obstacles were handled quickly and the inevitable change order was fairly done.I could not ask for more.Happily driving my new EV which I charge at night on off peak hours.Current Electric is my go-to electrician.

There were wasps living in the light fixtures above our front door. Current Electric previously wired a job in our basement so I called about the wasp problem. The estimate came in two days and we set the date for the work to be done the next week. Jason removed the wasp nests and replaced the fixtures with sealed units. My wife is allergic to stings so this issue was important to solve. Great work in a timely manner.

Professionalism all-around! We contacted Current Electric in early May about having a new 220 line installed for a swimspa. Adhering to safety due to covid we comunicated initially by email. Jason came out the next day to provide a precise quote. Social distancing, masks, and hand hygiene all top notch! The prepared quote was the most professional quote weve ever received from any contractor.The day of the electric job was also the day the swimspa was being delivered. Jason and crew arrived early to do preps before the spa was hoisted into place. When the crane arrived to hoist the swimspa, Jason and crew took their lunch break to allow the other contractor to do their thing. Excellent time management! Once the spa was set, it was wired up fairly quickly. The crew did a great job cleaning up afterwards. They were also very kind to our dogs. Funny thing, they placed little flags in the yard to mark out where the dog poop was at. It was a hoot!Highly, highly, highly recommend Current Electric Systems. We have a few more electric jobs coming up and will not hesitate to give them the call for the job. Thanks again!

So, how to do choose an electrical contractor? They are expensive; because they are some very sharp folks. When the fire trucks roll up to your house, you might then figure out that your low bidder was not the electrical contractor to choose.With Current Electrical Systems the number one priority will be safety.The number two priority will be safety. Care to guess number three priority?Get your price before work starts. And be prepared additional cost surprises. Electrical systems in your house are pretty much a hidden utility. Thus, when a hidden problem is found it must be addressed. This contractor will make it safe or they will not do the work. Plain and simple. Their reputation and your safety is the most valued asset.We had CES do a major kitchen remodel a while back. Plus the repair of many hidden defects. The design was fantastic. LED recessed lighting, programmable switches, LED under counter lighting, USB, under counter disposal safety switching,angled power strips under cabinets, power for a hidden mixer, and spilt circuits for the working counters. I have never regretted doing any item they recommended.I chose CES for safety and value. The value is these folks have an excellent understanding of home structure. This means they know how to do layouts and routing with the least amount of time. You will save money, since they “don’t have to figure things out on the fly.” Selecting an electrical service is akin to choosing a physician. How do you know if a doc is good? You trust credentials, training institutions, and what other patients have to say. Same thing with an electrician.You can trust Current Electric Systems for value and safety.
