We had a 25-year-old furnace that needed replacing (along with an old AC) and were interested in heat pump as an option to efficiently reduce our use of gas and to cool more efficiently, too. The salesperson, Nick, was very thoughtful, willing to answer dozens of questions about system options and to support our choices without being pushy. The install team was very polite and professional, and did a terrific job. They checked in regularly and worked efficiently. We would definitely work with Stafford again.

Stafford Home Service completed a heat pump and electric panel upgrade for our home, and we could not be more pleased. From bid process to installation, staff were courteous and competent. They took time to listen to our goals, educate us about technologies and systems, help us choose a system that fits our home well, and kept us updated on progress. The install team was fantastic to work with. They communicated with us each step of the way, completed a quality installation, and were sensitive to disrupting our work-from-home lives. They cleaned up our basement better than they found it, and even our dogs loved them! These folks are professional through and through.

Jacob from Stafford did an amazing job installing bathroom fans in our 125 year old brick home. I was super worried about the building being damaged by moisture and he went above and beyond making sure the job was done well and the exterior was protected from moisture build up as well. Jacob had good attention to detail and it mattered for this antique house.Really appreciate Staffords follow up when I needed them to come back to adjust something as well.

Overall very happy with experience. Nick gave me tons of detailed info on the heat pump system and I really appreciated how Stafford handles showing you all rebates and applying for them. Our home was built in 1892, 3 stories, and heated by a steam. Stafford installed a minisplit heat pump to provide both heat and ac.Chris and Sam were awesome. These are the guys you want to do your project. Polite, professional but also educational. As a female homeowner it is always a minor miracle to find workmen that will answer your questions with respect so I know how to maintain the system they installed properly. They also did a good job with clean work. And their salesperson Nick doesnt use the high pressure sales tactics. He answered questions and worked to get us a system that would meet our needs. No pressure. No huge stickers to make my new equipment ugly, no harassment like from other salespeople and other places Ive worked with. These are the guys you want to work with. Polite and professional from beginning to end. And actually really nice people too, with a sense of humor.We would highly recommend working with Stafford if you have an old home you want to heat and cool.

I contacted Stafford to have two bathroom fans installed.Beccah was easy to work with to get the installation scheduled. The team of techs arrived on time and were professional, communicating exactly what they were doing and making sure the fans and switches were where I wanted them.The only critiques I have are about the cleanup after and some of the drywall cuts. We had quite a bit of dust and debris to clean up in both bathrooms, and the required drywall holes were a bit messy. For the price though, I really cant complain.

Its been almost a year since Stafford installed a heat pump/ac unit for me in a room that was previously very cold in the winter and I could not be happier. I have an older house and they were really great at figuring out how to optimize our heating and cooling while working with our limitations. From the start, he was collaborative and solution oriented, where other electricians either dismissed input or did not respond entirely. Stafford did a fabulous job removing and replacing my old air conditioner plus a newer mini-split, with a single large mini-split that can heat and cool my entire home. The work iincluded dismantling and removing two separate air handlers, one in the attic and the other in the basement, and then installing new air handlers in those same locations. It was a ton of work, involving two hard-working, knowledgeable and personable HVAC installers who were on site for two full days, as well as two electricians. It was a big job and they handled it beautifully! The team was quiet, friendly, and expert at their work. They cleaned up beautifully, both inside and out, leaving no trace of attic insulation, discarded materials, etc. They arrived on time and finished their work in the timeframe they estimated. Plus, the cost, although expensive, was quite reasonable considering the work and materials involved. I got a second quote from another well-known local HVAC provider before contracting with Stafford, and the second company told me they couldnt do the work for the price that Stafford was asking. I am an extremely pleased customer. Kyle and Doug did a super job! I highly recommend them.

My heat pump project necessitated work to be done in my attic, both floors and the basement. I worked with a consultant initially to understand the options and to lay out the best plan for my home. The work team was lead by Kyle who held the overall vision for the project and what stages happened when. Weather was problematic and the team improvised, wasps appeared and work was halted for a few days. Throughout the entire process all of my questions and concerns were addressed. The work was done with minimal disruption, considering there were major installations outside the house and in the attic. Ever since then, I don’t bother with getting multiple bids for a project, I just automatically use them. They don’t use high pressure sales tactics. They don’t try to talk you into things you don’t want/need. Everyone who’s ever been out to my house has been very respectful and very nice. The last project they did was to re-do all electrical in the garage. The estimates they give are itemized, so you have a good understanding of what to expect. The job has always been done well and on time. I’ve recommended them to my parents, who also now consistently use them. I would highly recommend.

Having three separate things to address for electrical and ductwork can be difficult to coordinate. Stafford had three people out to our house arriving within minutes of each other, and the work was wrapped up in two hours. And as usual the result is high quality. Weve had Stafford out many times over the years to do work in our 1951 south Mpls home and it always goes well. Anyone who has lived in this old a house knows how tricky it can be to work in them and weve been happy every time.

Recommended by a friend. 1st time they figured out and remedied some incompatibility problems between newly installed LED flood lights in a high ceiling and the new wall switch (initial work had been done by a handyman). 2nd time they replaced some old GFCIs and provided an estimate for wiring some 240v outlets. Very good service both times. Knowledgeable, addressed my concerns and answered my many questions. Also, provided timely updates on findings and pricing when anything unexpected came up. Dave and his crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and installed my level 2 EV charger just as planned. Dave then struggled for an hour with ChargePoint due to a failure of the company:s registration process. As he was shunted from one department to the next he kept cool and hung on despite my suggestion that he go on to his next job. As it turned out, when I contacted Care Point, it took another hour and multiple maneuvers to fully activate, so Dave is to be commended for not blowing up at the runaround he endured. Next time we need an electrician, we know whom to call.

Another excellent electrical job by Stafford. We replaced an old atmospheric vent water heater with a new electric, and needed to have 240v hardwired to the unit. The electric needed to be run after the water heater install, but as soon as possible thereafter to minimize the time without hot water in the house. Stafford was easy to work with in terms of estimate and scheduling, and Will and his partner did a first-rate job on the install; quick and clean. After the job, Bridgit in the office was very helpful with short-notice inspection scheduling in order to make sure that both electrical and plumbing inspections were coordinated. All in all, a great experience and communication was never a problem. We’ve had Stafford do a new electrical panel, a/c and furnace (and ductwork), and now this wiring, and all jobs have been completed professionally and as promised. Stafford remains our first-call services firm for our home needs.

Steve is great! Had a major issue with our water heater and he was able to come towards the end of his work day to take a look and get our new water heater properly grounded and running. We had a old Federal Pacific electrical box that failed to trip the circuit when we had water gushing from our water heater, so that was scary, and had to be scheduled for replacement too. Steve came out on time the day of our appointment and did a very thorough job. Overall Stafford Home Service was very nice to work with and we’ll definitely be using them whenever we need electrical work done in the future.

They usually have staff available to answer phones and call back very quickly (unlike most other companies), they came on time to do work and completed it as promised with minimal interference to our life. Their broad skill set was also helpful as they were able to adjust some HVAC ductwork necessary to install the electrical panel. Finally, they helped us to navigate burying our electrical service with Xcel and their advice helped us to complete the process quickly without incurring fees from Xcel for asking for work too late in the year.We would 100% hire Stafford again the next time we need assistance.

We recently had SHS to install high-velocity HVAC (Unico) with a heat pump in our old home. They also replaced our electrical panel in the process. We are extremely pleased with their work and would recommend them in a heartbeat!Dan (HVAC sales) was extremely knowledgeable and came up with interesting solutions for routing the ducts through the home - which is ultimately what sold us on using them for the project. Jason came out to take a look at the electrical situation and gave us a number of options to consider. Estimates for work were drafted very quickly, and we were able to promptly lock in an install start date. Any questions that we had were quickly followed up on and changes made to the plan accordingly.Install went great - Chris, Will, and Tanner were the main crew for the beginning of the week and were very professional and pleasant guys to have around. They made sure we were involved at critical decision points and were very respectful of our home (and our cat!). Work was completed on time, which was great. We had a few follow-up sessions with techs at no charge when we had some minor things to figure out/wrap up.Overall, we are so in love with the system that they installed for us and overjoyed with the level of service provided along the way.

My wife and I have a 100 year old house. Most of the house was remodeled 10 years ago, and we called about flickering lights in two rooms that were not remodeled and some old two prong outlets. We thought we needed to have the rest of the house re-wried. Not the case! The electrician from Stafford identified a loose circuit breaker as the cause of the flickering lights, an easy fix. In addition they were able to upgrade the outlets, no re-wiring necessary! As if that kind of honesty wasnt enough, the final bill for the outlet work was less than the estimate because one of the outlets was easier to upgrade than expected. I have employed Stafford Home Services to handle a variety of electric issues in my 101 year old home. - the most recent being the intstallion of an exhaust fan in my first floor bathroom, where none had existed before. It was a big job, made more complicated by the fact that my metal roof precluded venting the fan through the roof, instead venting it through the soffit!They worked quickly and carefully, cleaning up everything when they were done. I cant recommend them highly enough!

We hired Stafford home services to do a variety of things for us including replacing a kitchen vent hood, adding lights that could be controlled on a schedule, adding ethernet ports, and cleaning up the wiring behind the television that is on the wall.They also installed some Ring security devices that needed wiring done.We were very pleased with the results. The work was done professionally, quickly, and the price was 30% less than one of their leading competitors.The sales person who also acted as a project manager, was prompt and clear in his communication, flexible and accommodating when issues arose, and easy to work with.We would hire them again and would recommend them to friends or family.We have hired them several times now. Steve just completed another job quickly and neatly, and found a way to do it more cheaply than we initially thought. We will continue to use them.I know electrical work is expensive. But it really makes our home more pleasant to operate.

I called to get estimates and they were the only company that knew a permit had to be pulled and the outside box housing (not the meter, so its owned by homeowners) needed to be upgraded as part of the job, or else the work would not pass inspection. They also completely handled the scheduling of my inspection. They were very professional, and well worth the small difference in their estimate, because now I have complete confidence the job was done correctly. I decided that going with the lowest bid and taking a risk that the work would not pass inspection was not a good idea with a job this important. I would definitely hire them again!

We ended up needing a replacement part which was installed quickly. Chris was courteous, professional, and reassuring throughout the process. Just had a mini-split system installed (older home, no air ducts) and will add another 5 star recommendation. The bid was competitive (important, of course) but Im recommending more based upon the service side, which was fantastic.The job went much quicker than I expected, the technicians were super professional, and they even did their best to work around my schedule (as like a lot of people I work from home now).I also really loved that they do the electrical in house with the same techs, so youre not stuck waiting for another professional to show up and then have the AC professionals come back. Slick!And while the installation was fantastic, (works great) just as impressive was how streamlined and efficient they are after the installation. They submit everything to Xcel for you for the rebate, and they do it immediately. Its great not having to follow up myself and figure out how to get the inspections done and everything submitted for the rebate. I had to do nothing from start to finish. Really appreciated that.While I cant attest related to the long term, so far every aspect has been 5 stars all around.

Eric and Tony did a great job. They removed and updated our bath vent fans and duct work, getting everything running fine and up to code. While the work was not something I was physically capable of doing it was something that Eric and Tony made look easy. And it’s not easy work. They were just efficient and knowledgeable about the work. That was even more impressive as I had called several other people who do hvac and electric work for almost a year and could not get them to even come take a look. I had been doing business with Sedgwick and they would keep telling me that they only do new construction but no referrals. Pronto kept telling me to call in a month or so. They blew me off. Stafford had the job booked for estimate but just did the job then. Peace of mind and ease of work are worth a premium. But their prices are fair, so I’m happy as I can be. Use these guys with confidence.

The rates were very similar to other bids I received but you can tell this is a company that invests in itself with great technology to improve the customer experience.When working in our backyard they did (accidentally) cut our internet line. We had no internet for a few hours but instead of hiding it they checked with us to see if anything wasn’t working properly. They then repaired the line. He was always punctual, communicative about any peculiarities or workarounds while doing the work, laid out all our options, as applicable, and was highly responsive to any and all questions. Steve had to cut into the ceramic tile in bathroom shower ceiling for one fixture which made me nervous there would be residual damage to tiles, but it turned out beautifully. Two new electrical outlets were installed in attic. Lastly, the installation of a new bathroom ventilation fan.I know Stafford has a host of other serves to offer (HVAC etc). Stafford Electric is professional and gets the job done. Like most top providers they seem to cost a little more but they are worth it! In the end you probably save money. For example, I had them come out to install a Ring video doorbell. When they discovered it would not work with our current doorbell, they told me so and did not charge anything. Other electricians would have hit me at least with a trip charge. Very appreciated!
