Jeff did an awesome quality work in installing an EV charger at my house. He was very professional and thorough. He did a clean job of wiring a 240v cable from breaker panel in basement to the garage where charger was supposed to be installed. He also cleaned everything nicely and put it back the way it was. I am very happy with his work and would recommend him for sure.

Great service from start to finish, and a much better price than we got from the first electrician who bid on the Level 2 charger installation! Bryce was very knowledgeable at the intake/bidding prices and answered all of our “first-time-EV-owner” questions. Peter B was prompt and was great on the actual installation. He and his partner were attentive to our concerns about placement and aesthetics, including making a small but meaningful pivot from what we had agreed upon originally with Bryce. Steve from 4Front energy is the best! Steve has looked after our residential and commercial HVAC needs for over 15 years now. He knows the building and the systems better than anyone. We have a mix of original 1911 radiators, forced air, floor heat, and mini splits and he can fix and maintain them all. Sadly he won’t agree never to retire. I hope it’s a long way off!

When the technician, Joel, did the fall tune up for my furnace, he noted that the burner wasnt working quite as well as hed like, but rather than charge me for a replacement, he cleaned it thoroughly, which gave me a month or two of additional use. When it was time to replace the burner, 4Front Energy sent Joel back to my house, which was great, as he knew exactly what needed to be replaced as he was familiar with my system. He was professional and efficient in replacing the burner and my furnace has been humming since. Thank you.

Update: Peter B came to do a small electrical project for me and was so wonderful! He was a super nice guy and did great work. I just bought a 100-year old house with quite a few quirks, and he even helped to solve the mystery of how to turn on one of the old light fixtures. I was already impressed with 4Fronts plumbing crew, and now their electrical team has lived up the hype too.--I found 4Front Energy while searching for Paladin Plumbing. I saw that 4Front had acquired Paladin, who had done great work for me in the past, so I gave 4Front a call to clear a clog in my kitchen sink. I live in a condo and it can be difficult to find people who will perform work on my unit since its a larger building. Steffan was available the same day that I called and arrived at the top of the appointment window. He was friendly, professional, quick, and charged a very fair price. Plus, I found a coupon on their website for new customers that made it even more affordable. I found my new go-to plumbers!

Their field team was prompt, clean, and efficient. I got some quotes and their price was comparable to hiring them separately, so packaging it together in one place for the same price was way easier. They also had a zero percent financing option through enerbank which made my decision a no brainer. Further, I found out that xcel energy was not going to give me a rebate for the water heater work since I switched from gas to electric (still dont understand why thats an issue), and 4front honored the rebate themselves by cutting me a check since they noted that I would get a rebate. They have earned my business and my recommendation several times over. 5 stars.

Pretty impressed with this company. Had them out for estimates on an AC/heat pump (37 year old AC) and a water heater (13 years old) as our equipment was working but definitely on borrowed time. Nick in sales was great to work with. He listened to our needs and provided education on multiple options. He even gave a lot of pros and cons on heat pump options and heat pump water heaters from personal and customer experiences. He was not pushy to make a sale at all, and was understanding we just wanted information to keep in mind as we are new homeowners. I appreciate that 4Front offers a variety of options whether we wanted the lowest cost basic replacement, or if trying to go as energy efficient as possible. I also like that they offer HVAC, plumbing and electric all in one place. Plus, their preventative maintenance plan is very reasonably priced for all of the benefits and services you get compared to other plans with companies we got estimates from.The prices on replacements quoted were reasonable, and for the most part close with the 5 other companies we had estimates from. They beat multiple companies on price, and offered similar or higher-grade products. I’d put 4Front in the top 2 of the 6 total companies we have engaged for estimates and information, despite some of their options being higher in price or base warranties not being as comprehensive.A few days ago, we found the water heater to be leaking from the bottom and two other places. We were unable to get assistance during the weekend which was a little disappointing as we were unable to drain it on our own due to leaks at the hose connection. We were worried about 40 gallons of water in the basement. Come Tuesday, someone reached out before business hours to help us out. We had decided on our water heater replacement and had an updated estimate a little after 10AM, and the install and haul-away of our old water heater was completed before 2:30PM. We paid just under $200 more compared to another option elsewhere. The higher price was worth it as we got an American-made product, a 10 year tank/parts/labor warranty, and a quick replacement in less than 4.5 hours after getting everything scheduled! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them in the future.

We replaced our very old heating and A/C systems. We also added 3 new ducts and a return in our basement. This was a big project and for most people, a big outlay of money.I looked through Google reviews and then contacted the 3 best HVAC companies in the Twin Cities. Each of them came out and were professional and accommodating, but 4 Front Energy really stood out as the best of the best:1. They really know their stuff. You can ask them about heat pumps, modulating, variable speed furnaces, ducts and house comfort. They answer it all and give you lots to consider when selecting a system. Believe me, I ask a lot of questions and I was left feeling very satisfied by their responses.2. They are very honest. They had ample opportunity to up-charge me on fancier systems, but at the end of the initial visit, both Rhod (the sales rep) and I were informed on what would be my best choices. I asked whether the system would improve the air flow in rooms at the end of the line (2 stories up) and they were very frank and said not likely. The system has made the whole house very comfortable and we no longer have cold pockets of the house.3. They are innovative and thoughtful. The new system had a requirement for having a fresh air intake, which I did not presently have in place. They spent a lot of time trying to find the least obtrusive way to put this pipe in my house. This was an extra trip out for them. The plan was that they would have to go out the side of my house and that would entail cutting out part of a bathroom ceiling to anchor the pipe. On the first day of the project, one of the workers said that he could crawl under our deck (very tight space) and have a pipe come out there. It involved no cutting of the ceiling. They also crafted a netting on the end of the pipe to prevent animals from getting in.4. They are very polite, timely and neat. The people who performed the work showed up very promptly and did an excellent job describing what they were going to do. They laid down drop cloths everywhere they planned to walk and when they were done, you would never know they had been there. They put in a fancy new electronic thermostat and the person spent considerable time teaching me how to use it.5. Their pricing is excellent. They beat everyone on price.6. They sent us cookies and some SWAG! One week later I got a box in the mail. In it was a thank you note from the company, an insulated lunch bag and a very lovely selection of cookies, which my kids got into immediately. Very classy operation!I will use them for my servicing and I plan to recommend them to everyone, in addition to all of you reading this!

This company really stands by their work. I worked with their team for almost a year to figure out an issue I was having with my heat pump (turned out to be a faulty thermostat, not their installation crew’s fault). 4 Front always called me right back and scheduled me for an appointment as soon as possible. All the work was considered warranty work as well and I was never charged. I’ve never had customer service like this before and really appreciate it.4 Front is also they only hvac company I could find that had experience with heat pump installations. All the other guys told me I was crazy to consider one in our climate in MN, but as I write this it is 28F outside and 68F inside with out burning any gas and releasing CO2 into the atmosphere. This heat pump is really going to save me money this winter with the crazy gas prices too. Their knowledge of and willingness to install new technologies really speaks to the commitment 4 Front has to their clients. I HIGHLY recommend using them for all of your hvac needs.Update:I was still having issues with my system after the new thermostat was installed. 4Front has been exceptional over the past 3 months to figure out the issue. We were referred to Nick at 4 Front Energy By CEE (Center for Energy and the Environment). We had been gathering information to better understand what we would need to know to make an informed decision regarding a possible future purchase of heat pump/furnace combo for our home. We did our research - but knew that deciding if a heat pump is a wise choice in any given application is complicated. Nick spent a generous amount of time with us on the phone through several conversations - going in depth about our situation. His advice was unbiased and clearly not slanted toward the conclusion that we should choose a heat pump. Nick spent alot of time helping us to understand the pros and cons for us specifically. Through circumstances beyond our control, we found out that we would not be able to purchase our heat pump from 4 Front. We told Nick we were disappointed that we couldnt follow through with a purchase.and felt bad that we took so much of his time. None the less, he continued to advise us and advised us how we could know for sure if any specific heat pump we were considering would qualify for the federal tax credit. We are so grateful to Nick for educating us and for spending time helping us understand everything. We do intend to get a service contract with 4 Front to take care of the HVAC equipment we will purchase. We know through our conversations with Nick that they are a company that can be trusted to advise truthfully and because of this we feel confident that the service they provide to us will be high quality. After receiving quotes from several vendors, all of which said they dont like installing heatpumps in Minnesota, I ran across 4fronts booth at a trade show. They had lots of demo equipment onsite and looked like they had a system that seemed to match what I wanted, a heatpump tied to a whole-house high efficiency furnace.The price was comparable with a high efficiency system from another vendor, but with the added benefit of less carbon emissions when the temperature is more mild.The after-sales process was nice - they assisted with rebates, and confirmed that the system was working right.My brother commented that he was surprised that my entire system was replaced in less than a day. He said another vendor took took 2 days to install his. Mine took only slightly longer than an afternoon to install.

These guys are great, and their prices are competitive. I had them replace my old 100 amp electric panel for a new 200 amp panel, and replace my old gas water heater with a new smart, hybrid heat pump water heater. Really happy with the water heater. Others gave me misinformation about how it would make the basement super cold to try and push me towards a less efficient electric water heater. Don’t fall for it. Heat pump is the way to go. This was a big job and overall 4Front did a great job.I’m now a happy member of 4Front’s membership and they’ve done a great job servicing my AC.
