GREAT WORK & solved my problem. My garage had no drain. Any liquid had no where to go. The team came, and within hours the drain was installed. No more standing water from ice & snow in the winter, and in the summer, I can hose it down to keep it clean from dirt & dogs. .

We have had water problems in our basement for years and decided it was time to see what can be done. We called Phil and he came the next morning! He explained to us what was happening and showed us pictures of how his crew could make our basement dry! He gave us the estimate while he was here and we made the decision to have a dry basement! Phils crew came to get started, they were all very nice, answered our questions, and very respectful. These guys worked very hard for 3 days to complete the project. I felt bad for these guys carrying everything out in buckets, they had to be beat at the end of each day! Phil has a great crew! We couldnt be happier with our dry basement!

Phil returned our call quickly and worked with me on my schedule to set up a free estimate. We either never received a call back from others or the two companies that did show up were rude and overpriced. Phil’s crew ( thank you Dalton, Tyler, and Jesse!)were professional, courteous, and respectful of our home. They are essential assets to their company for sure. After 30 years living in my home, I was recently flooded from the massive storms which hit the Winfield area. It’s also worth noting the State has moved massive hills to install the new throughway. After interviewing multiple “basement experts”, I settled on The Basement Expert. It was a great decision. Jesse W. was the main contact. He was excellent to work with, listened to concerns, and fit the repairs to my home. (All the other guys recommended a cookie cutter approach). I highly recommend this local family-owned business. After all neighbors help neighbors.

These folks are awesome. I have struggled for SIX straight years with problems with water infiltrating my basement. I pray that you have no idea how stressful that is. It gives me a form of anxiety EVERY time it rains and is likely some version of post traumatic stress disorder.Every single time I tried to fix a leak, something else went wrong. I was SURE every time that I had it fixed. Every single time I found out different. All it took was a stronger storm and it found a way in every time. Tens of gallons of water coming into the basement every storm. The technician that came out even found out that progressive storms were starting to bow my wall because of hydrostatic pressure. This is all of the way bad. Left untreated, this had to potential to eventually destroy my house. I had to act NOW.These folks fixed the problem quick and did the install in a single day. I dont know what magic they did to get the job done that quick but sure enough by the next day the system was in, and at a price that didnt break the bank either.Now, it just rained. You need to hear me when I say that this wasnt just rain... this was on a near biblical flood level. Severe flood warnings. They were some of the most enduring, brutal storm systems Id seen all year. A given storm for example thats really rough dumps .43 inches of water on my property. The weather report said that this was 1.22 inches.My basement was DRY. I didnt have to shop vac or mop up a drop. Amazing.Thank you folks for such a fine job.

From working in an Industry where I all to regularly see bad work and corners cut, let me tell you this company is the exact opposite of that. I was blown away by the efficiency, politeness, and attention to detail that was displayed at my recent basement waterproofing, I very rarely write reviews and only recommend people that I know I can trust to do the same job for anyone. I would highly recommend The Basement Expert for all your basement needs. I called for a quote for a water proofing installation for our newly built home and their timeliness and knowledge to our service was incredible! They were able to accommodate what we needed, at the right time, just before the heavy rain storms. The two gentleman running the crew on-site were very attentive and professional and were able to answer all our questions. We called The Basement Expert to install a trench drain system with a pump in our wrap shop. The crew did a great job getting this done for us a day sooner than expected. The 9 concrete slab did not make it easy for them. Now we can wash vehicles inside and no more worry about working in snow and ice melt in the winter. Awesome job, guys! We cant thank you enough!

This review is maybe the most important you ever read if you have basement water problems. Don’t even waist your time with anybody else.After purchasing a brand new home in January with a “builder’s warranty” we were left to fend for ourselves by May. The “builder” never disclosed that it was wetlands, didn’t disclose all the previous flooding and never installed the stormwater management drains around the entire subdivision or retention pond required before he was permitted to build.Due to the constant water intrusion, growing mold, and a sick family member we had to move forward at our expense.The Basement Expert, Phil, walked us through our house, did a thorough inspection, explained clearly what was happening, why it was happening and what they were going to do to fix it. He was very professional, kind, caring and most importantly willing to do the work. This is important because we have a lot more work that needs done and nobody willing to do it for fear of being involved in litigation.At the end of the day, there are two kinds of people. People that care and people who don’t. He cares about people and their pocket.The Basement Experts installed a perimeter drain around the entire basement to the center posts, installed 2 new sump pumps and replaced the existing one that blew up. They did a great job and we can’t thank them enough for all their help! You guys were all a blessing!

Could not be more impressed than we are. Phil (owner) came to give us a quote, he explained everything, answered all our question’s and we hired TBE for the job. This was a big job because our basement was finished and started getting water over the last few years and it was taking its toll on us for clean up. The crew had most of the work done within 3 days. We needed a drain system around 3 walls of our home, in the center of our home and 2 pumps added. Tyler (foreman) and his crew did great work. They covered everything in plastic and were very conscientious about the work they did and the mess it created and was cleaned up promptly. Once the job was completed, a few areas that weren’t noticed and were forgotten (small areas of little concern) was mentioned to Phil and they were addressed immediately. In fact, he even came to our home again to walk the entire system with me to address any concerns we had in the least. Could not recommend TBE enough! Now we just need some rain to see this system work and divert the water from our home. Thanks much!!

Phil came out and gave us a clear and concise explanation as to why our basement continued to take on water, even with a system in place (from a different contractor). He provided a plan and reasonable estimate to remove and dispose of the old system in its entirety and replace with a completely new trench system (new drain, better sump pump, larger tub, better battery backup), and fix the floor cracks, along with a Lifetime Warranty.Phil and his crew who worked on our project were fantastic. Everyone involved, including the receptionist taking care of scheduling the project, were courteous, prompt, professional, and respectable of our property. They took the time to explain what they were doing, and how it would affect the overall system, and confidently answered any questions we asked, without treating us like we were a bothering them.The project from start to finish took a little over 3 days, but Im confident, with this new trench system and sump pump in place, my anxiety levels will subside when large amounts of rain or horrible storms are forecasted. If you have any type of basement or foundation problems, definitely contact Phil and his team at The Basement Experts. Youre dealing with a local contractor who actually cares about your project, is ethical with pricing, not up charging for services you dont need, and follows through with your project, ensuring you are happy with the services you hired them to complete.

TBE installed drainage ditches and a sump pump in my basement and I couldnt be more pleased with the result. I used to hate going down in my basement and now I love it. Its made a huge difference. I would highly recommend this company over some corporate behemoth. They visited, reviewed the situation, addressed the problem I wanted addressed but didnt try to up-sell -- push other products or procedures I didnt need. The estimate was reasonable. The workers were terrific and professional. I would definitely recommend this company and Im so glad I found them.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. The owner came and explained everything to me in the estimate in terms I could understand. The workers were on time and did a fabulous job and were extremely polite, and considerate. They covered the items in my basement so they wouldn’t get damaged. Also, Sara in the office is a gem. I will definitely call them if I need anything in the future and I highly recommend them.

Requested an evaluation/quote from this company for the water coming into the basement of our home supposedly built in 1900 (were NOT in a historic district). The person they sent recommended a drainage system (I dont know remember the technical terminology for what they did) and sump pump for the portion of our basement affected by incoming water. We had gotten three quotes for this issue and 1) The Basement Experts appeared the most knowledgeable, professional, reasonable, and down to earth and the least salesman-like of the three companies. 2) the Basement Experts recommended solution was both reasonably priced and addressed the issue to the appropriate degree. We werent looking for a quick bandaid solution nor were we looking to finish the basement and dont have an unlimited budget, so we felt it was unreasonable for one of the other companies to suggest a multiple layered treatment to the entire basement costing way above our budget. The Basement Expert did not recommend more than we needed to adequately address our specific issue, and we appreciated that.The guys who completed the work were courteous and explained what they did and any post-job instructions we needed to be aware of adequately and answered all of our questions. Although, its only been a week since the work has been done and it hasnt rained much if at all, I have high hopes for the system that was installed. We would definitely reach out to this company again if other parts of our basement had issues and would recommend them to others.

I contacted The Basement Expert because I have had issues with water coming into the basement. The receptionist that answered my phone call was exceptionally polite and professional. She scheduled me for a visit with a representative who came to take a look at my property within a week. During the visit, all of the issues were identified and a solution was explained in great detail.The crew that did the work was professional and friendly. They completed all of the work they set out to do in a timely manner while maintaining high quality. I was very satisfied with the final product and I am so happy to have a lifetime warranty on the waterproofing system!From start to finish it was a pleasure working with The Basement Expert. The Basement Expert installed an interior dual pump system at my house: The initial inspection was done by Matt. He was very knowledgeable and gave a detailed overview of the recommended work. There was no pressure to have the work done. When I decided to have the system done, I was promptly put on the schedule. The guys who installed the system did a great job explaining the work they were doing and cleaned up nicely after completing the work. I previously got water in the basement regularly with heavy rains and I look forward to having a dry basement. 10/10 would recommend The Basement Expert.

The job was completed in 2 days, which was one day faster than I expected. The next day we received steady rain that lasted for two days. The system worked as promised and no leaks appeared anywhere. The crew that performed the work were efficient and took measures to make sure my belongings were covered with plastic as well as the stairway to the main house. All my questions were answered, and my request for relocation of one pump was done to my satisfaction.

The job they did has done what it is supposed to do. I had a dirt basement that when it rained heavy the water would seep through the walls and Id have a humid mud puddle down there and would go through the rest of the house.. so I did a bunch of work and had them do their thing and put a trench system in, waterproof the walls and pour a cement floor down there.. after the first real heavy rain I was thoroughly impressed at how well the system handled everything. Before I couldnt get the humidity below 50 percent all year round. Now the humidity is constantly between 35 and 42 with no water anywhere..the reason Im giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because of the little things. That I wont go into too much detail but they mad a mess with the cement. I had it done one half at a time and theres cement splashes from the 2nd half that are permanent on the first half of my floor and there is cement on the supports posts.. so if you dont want a mess make sure stuff gets covered well. But with how everything else turned out I cant complain. They also werent the cheapest but I really wanted to use them and they worked with me a little on price so I am happy with that. Thanks guys! The guys were great and Profesional. They started work on a Monday and finished that Thursday. They installed a French drain system along about 75% of the basement and reinforced a bowed wall. All the work looks clean and they did as much as the could to keep the dust off everything.

Although we hesitated having anything done at first (since we were getting more rain than usual and we figured that was the reason for the water) this is one of the best decisions we’ve made! Phil Ingerick and his team installed a french drain system in my basement nearly ten years ago. We have never had a problem with the system up until this past storm season of 2018. As a result of a power outage, and through no fault of the system installed, we gained water in our basement. Phil came out the next day and installed a battery backup sump pump at a reasonable price, and has continuously been a source of expertise and knowledge on how to help with any of my basement water issues. Hes a quality contractor and will provide honest advice.

We recently had The Basement Expert install a drainage system and repair a wall in our basement. We had been dealing with water entering where the floor meets the wall and due to the pressure from the outside, the wall had begun cracking and was displaced in a few spots.I cannot recommend The Basement Expert more if you are dealing with water or foundation issues. I am so impressed with the company from the inspection and estimate to the work that was performed. The crew of men who came to the house to install the system were the most respectful, polite and hardworking guys. They walked me through every step of the process and took time to answer any questions or concerns I had along the way. They exceeded my expectations in every way.
