Chris was very helpful and professional. He explained all that was going on and what he was doing. He left the area as clean as he had found it. Our toilet was not draining as quickly as it should and had not been for quite some time. At this point it is better than it was but not as well as we would like it. All potential issues were checked out and at this point the solution will be a new toilet. Pricing was very reasonable and we are very thankful.

Ive been a member for more than a year and its well worth the very reasonable cost. It completely alleviates my need to worry about maintenance, scheduling is easy, and they never push additional work on me. When they do recommend preventative maintenance, it seems like good value in that they are low cost preventative improvements that I can understand how they extend the lifecycle of my unit.Also, all of their staff are always friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. A real joy to have around the house.

9/24Hekmat Bikzad once again did outstanding work. I requested a technician because the water hammer in our pipes suddenly became really loud and scary! Hekmat replaced the pressure reducing valve for the system, then solved another (separate) issue with an emergency shut off valve under a sink.As always—Courteous, reliable, professional!9/24 Jose Martinez and Daniel were our techs recently to check the status of our sump pump. Wow! We were selling our home and the day before going on the MLS the AC died. My husband was convinced we were going to need a new unit. Mc Daniels sent a tech out within a few hours. Paul arrived and in fifteen minutes had diagnosed the problem informing my husband it could definitely be fixed and the unit still had a good lifespan left. He was professional and extremely thorough in explaining the issue. Paul fixed the problem quickly, and his friendly demeanor even impressed my husband. He never once complained about the extensive rose bushes that were cutting him. As a director in a large firm we would love to have more coworkers like Paul on our team. Thanks McDaniel!

Darren Blakely from McDaniel service is amazing. He was so kind to deal with and was a wealth of knowledge troubleshooting issues with my house’s HVAC, diagnosing the issue for why it suddenly lost power on the first try. Years ago he also helped me replace my HVAC unit in a condo building where many other services weren’t willing to work and helped me get a very fair price. I’d have full trust working with him again. He seems like one of those rare people who actually wants to help.

It is excessively hot outside and I know they are very busy, but Daniel took his time checking everything and answering all of my many many questions. I was so impressed by his expertise and his patience. I just moved here and the HVAC is older, and I really want to make sure I am taking proper care of it. I could not have asked for or gotten better service all the way around.Update: I’m still a huge fan of the company and recommend them. Chris just did a plumbing inspection and did a fantastic job. I never knew where the emergency water shut off was, and he found it in a place I honestly never would have looked. I highly recommend using McDaniels for your HVAC and water heater replacement. I had my 2 ton system replaced back in April, and the team of four guys they sent out were on time, courteous, and patient! They had to use a crane for the replacement, and everything was well coordinated. My HVAC technician was David Williams, and his support team, Cody and Habib, were also great.I just had my biannual inspection, and he came out again to check on the system. It’s so comforting knowing that my technician is familiar with my unit and the neighborhood as well. Ask for David!

I contacted McDaniel Service in Lorton to fix a broken spigot in the backyard. Mr Nabil Kabiri showed up on time and provided an accurate diagnosis of the problem and explained the best case and worst case scenarios. I could tell he is experienced in his tradecraft (master technician) and expertly removed a broken outer part, sawed off an inner part and made a replacement with a new part which he conveniently had available in his truck.I mention this because a previous plumbing company diagnosed the same issue and confidently stated that the drywall inside the basement behind the spigot needed to be breached for the entire part to be replaced. This would have taken hundreds of dollars, scheduling of multiple contractors etc.Thanks to Mr Nabil’s expertise, the spigot got fixed with minimal cost and time. Great work!In addition, McDaniel Service installed a new water heater and the work was performed as expected. Chris Johnson arrived on time and attempted to restart the older model water heater, which did not respond. I decided to get a new water heater. Chris worked effectively with his supervisor to get a new water heater and completed the installation the same day! Great teamwork!

McDaniel Service, Inc. is the only one I will call for service in our condominium. Living in a high rise lends itself to a sense of responsibility not only to your own unit, but your neighbors as well. We had all of our 16 year old shutoff valves to the sinks/toilets preventively replaced. McDaniel technicians, Tim and David, have worked in our building for many years and know it inside and out. They discovered a few of our valves were not in working order. Had there been an emergency, we wouldnt have found out until it was too late. We feel much better now knowing we wont be responsible for any leaks below or adjacent to us. Sometimes you just need to spend money to save money; we cant imagine what kind of costs and insurance claims we would encounter if we leaked into a neighbors unit. We cant say enough good things about these two technicians, Tim and David. They work well together. They were prompt. They took care of shutting off the water to our stack (we gave small gifts of appreciation for patience to our stack neighbors since the water was off for a few hours). They tested their work before leaving and cleaned up after themselves. We highly recommend McDaniel Service, Inc. for your plumbing needs...they offer other services as well, theyre worth a call for an estimate. Thank you guys, great job!

Juan arrived on time and on the earlier side of the 3 hour window I was provided at the time of scheduling. I called McDaniel in panic mode after coming home from an international trip and finding our heat out. I have no way to know how long it was out. Daniel, our technician, arrived right on time and quickly sorted to going with the flow of the weird installation of mini splits in our neighborhood/home. He tested, poked and prodded and thought the issue had been resolved. When he discovered it had not been, he went right back to work and found a problem that could have become dangerous had he not been so thorough. We have heat again! And he gave us great advice for preventive maintenance that our installation company told us wouldn’t be necessary. We’re very happy and highly recommend McDaniel Service Inc!

Pony tail John has always done my inspection on my heating and air. The first time John and I met , was years ago and I got to the lake house about nine or nine thirty. Guess what , no heat, and it was getting down to 7 degrees that night. I called the night number and John was at my home pronto. It was not an easy fix. I suggested I just sit by the fire til morning. No he said not at 7 degrees. After going to Roanoke for parts , I think he finished about 12:30. Now that is going beyond the call of duty.

There was a problem with our HVAC unit McDaniel service was called out to look at it. The outside unit coil had become plugged and over pressurized the compressor leading to it overheating. The unit had to be replace due to the damage. The installation of the new system went very well and professionally. There was a problem withe the inside air handler that had to be replaced. They were prompt in response time to the call regarding the problem. The team were professional and courteous while performing the reinstall. I would recommend McDaniel service and will continue to use them for any future repairs or replacements.

McDaniel replaced my broken A/C unit two days after I contacted them -- very fast service -- and the replacement was done quickly and skillfully, I could see as I watched. Their tech then inspected all other A/C units in my home, told me their status, but did not try to sell me anything, which I appreciated. All in all, very professional, very responsive, very good price. From now on, McDaniel is the only company Ill go to for air conditioning help.

My AC was out and a neighbor highly recommended McDaniel. I was very impressed in every way. Jalil was my technician. He was clearly an expert and solved the issue quickly. I was worried Id need a new compressor motor but it was something relatively small and the entire repair was about a half an hour. It was such a good experience I bought a service agreement and will get my system checked 2x/year. It is 12 years old so Im expecting to have occasional issues, and Id like to stay in fron of them.

The work was done quickly and tidily and Tim, who came out to help us, cleaned up/caught all the water he could as he cut the line and repaired it. Update: the owner came by and personally installed an access panel. I appreciate the follow up.Original review:I was required by by home owners association to get my water shut off valve replaced. The recommended these guys because most people in my development used them for the service. I thought everything was done well except for the fact that they left a hole for which I cannot find an access panel to fit. Now I have to get a handy man to do what I could have done if they had only cut a hole with dimensions for a standard snap in access panel. I called about this a few days later and they said it was not their problem and they only had to do the replacement. Dismissive, uncaring, unprofessional.

That was on a Friday.
