I highly recommend Comfort Solutions for Minisplit work. We had been trying to find a vendor to install minisplits in our 1925 DC row house for a long time - years in fact. Because of certain characteristics of our home, installation required a little more creativity and engineering than a typical project. We went through what felt like hundreds of bad proposals before meeting the Comfort Solutions team - who immediately recognized the challenge and offered a sound, sensible, and affordable solution. Not only did they come up with the best answer, but they also offered a very competitive price and communicated with us better than any of the countless other companies we met with about the project.We were very happy with the Comfort Solutions team before the work even started - then we met Irwin and Fabian who led the installation - and our experience got even better. They were very professional, very respectful, and very communicative - really just kind of guys you would be so happy to welcome into your home. They cleaned up so well after each day of work, they kept us up to speed on their progress, and most importantly, they installed everything perfectly - and exactly as we had agreed they would.Our experience with this company really could not have been any better. We are so happy we chose them for this project. I’m not one for writing too many online reviews but these guys deserve all the kudos I’ve offered here and more. Jainer was phenomenal. He literally saved my Christmas. The previous companies failed at installing my thermostat properly so the heating wasn’t working. Now with the temperature dropping I was afraid we will freeze to death. But the comfort solutions came to my rescue-scheduled an appointment the very next day despite it being the busiest holiday weekend of the year, and send me Jainer who was an angel in disguise. Very polite, very neat and very professional, he was quick to address the issues, shared with me some tips and tricks and fixed the heating once and for all. Very satisfied, if I could give him 10 stars I would.

John came out for our spring furnace/AC check up and was very thorough and explained things to me very clearly. He made good recommendations but didn’t try to up-sell anything we didn’t need. He was very professional and knowledgeable.Today Jainer came to fix a “system malfunction” notice that appeared on our thermostat. (We have a Carrier Infinity system and Comfort Solutions is recommended by Carrier.) He quickly solved the problem and I felt like he was very qualified to handle the task. He also explained everything so well to me! We ended up installing a surge protector on the unit to prevent damage in the future but again, he didn’t try to up- sell the priciest model.Lastly, both John and Jainer were great about putting shoe covers over their shoes which I know is a pain when they have to go in and out so much. Both men are courteous and friendly.I also appreciated that I could get an appointment so quickly. Everyone in the office is super nice and helpful. Their prices are commensurate with other furnace companies in the area - and less expensive than the company we used previously. We’ve been very satisfied with Comfort’s work!

Ive used them before and they really know their stuff. They explained the problem to me and also to my insurance company; they are very familiar with condo HVAC units and helped me pick the right replacement unit for my space and my needs. They got the unit quickly (and kept me up-to-date on its arrival) and sent three techs for the day-long installation. The guys were great: efficient, knowledgeable, and polite. They explained everything to me as they worked, and were patient with all my questions. They were super careful working in my condo and on the roof, and ran lots of tests afterwards to make sure everything was working properly. Everyone at Comfort worked to make the whole experience as stress-free as possible for me, and I appreciate it. I highly recommend Comfort Solutions.

After bad experiences with several HVAC companies in the past, I switched to Comfort Solutions several years ago and have been very happy with the services they provide. Theyve never tried to sell me something I dont need and gave me a great deal on a complete HVAC system last year. When I had a glitch with the new system the owner of the company came out on a weekend to check it. Turns out it was just a minor reset and the system has been great since, but I was impressed by the responsiveness. The techs are prompt and professional and I have no problems getting appointments when I need them. They have added Plumbing to their services, and I called when my upstairs toilet began leaking. They came right out and replaced my very old leaking toilet with a new one. Overall, Im relieved to have a company that is responsive and that I trust.

The part needed to be ordered, but knowing the travel I had coming up, Comfort Solutions (Rich) made arrangements to acquire a part locally and to have it repaired before I left the next morning. Jainer was the technician and was extremely prompt, communicative, polite, and even showed up at the supplier warehouse before they were open so he would be the first in line. I had another HVAC company come out to my grandmothers house to find out what the issue was, but they would not service the unit in her attic since their was a tight gap to fit through. They were the same company that installed the unit 6 years earlier and now they wouldn’t service it. I called Comfort Solutions and they had me send pictures of the space before sending a technician out and waste my money. They called me back within hours and told me they could do it and have someone out by the end of the week. They arrived on time and found the issue within 5 minutes of getting to the unit. They fixed the motor under warranty and had the AC unit fixed as soon as the part arrived. The technician Brent was very knowledgeable and professional. He walked me through the issue and also showed me some maintenance issues I can fix myself. He was here for 30 minutes and I felt more confident in them than any HVAC technician I’ve worked with. Would highly recommend.

These folks are the best! The techs are all very knowledgeable (especially about the speciality HVAC units in my condo building), and both the techs and office/owner were great about answering all my questions. In talking through a new problem that arose following service of my HVAC unit, they suggested duct cleaning, and sent a great team to do the cleaning... that team found stuff in my ducts from a previous owners renovations that would have been a real health hazard if wed let it sit there. They listen and work with you to figure out what you need. They consistently get me on their schedule quickly and stay in touch about the techs arrival, and they check in afterwards to make sure everything went well. Like many of these reviews, Ive had a great experience with Comfort Solutions and highly recommend them!

Our home maintenance appointment was honored on time and at cost by Mr. Brian Downs, the quality control manager for Comfort Solutions. His evaluation of our roughly 9 year old Carrier system showed no serious issues, and he pointed this out, adding that the system was even a bit too large for our house. Before leaving he installed some foam insulating tubing on our outdoor lines free of charge since we were having freezing issues, and the system has worked great ever since. I even learned from him why our humidity lags behind the temperature after the system was running for a while. Very professional and I would recommend highly. They indeed take personal interest in your HVAC needs and work to meet them WITH you.

WOW! Ive lived in the Northern Virginia area my entire life and I have dealt with a number of HVAC companies, but none as good as Comfort Solutions. We had an emergency last week on an extremely cold day. Fortunately, they were able to get a technician out within five hours of my call. They were extremely professional throughout the whole call and never tried to sell me additional services, etc. Their price was very reasonable and our heating was restored in approximately 45 minutes. In summary, if you are looking for a fast, honest HVAC company that doesnt take advantage of your situation, Comfort Solutions, Inc. in Springfield, VA is your perfect choice. Thank you! Our home is finally comfortable on all 3 levels because of the thoughtful and effective approach Comfort Solutions took after many other contractors had failed.We were dealing with 10-15 degree temperature shifts between each floor in our house, with the upstairs 80 degrees, and the basement 50 degrees! After an expensive energy audit and thousands of dollars of insulation projects nothing got any better. We contacted Comfort Solutions after a friend referred us, and their quality control manager Brian Downs discovered that our HVAC system input and output didnt match. Heated air couldnt circulate well through the house because of this back up, and our system was working overdrive trying to compensate.After diagnosing this problem, his team came and added new ductwork and a new return to improve airflow. They were in and out, and super courteous throughout, explaining their work at several steps along the way.Within a couple of days we were living in comfort no matter where we were in the house. We cant thank them enough as we were starting to go a little crazy in our cold indoor weather :)

Comfort Solutions installed a new HVAC system for our home, and we couldnt be happier.We got quotes from four companies, and all the quotes were roughly in the same ballpark. We chose Comfort Solutions because of the excellent job they did in figuring out what systems would work best with our houses layout, construction, and ducts; explaining the different options to us; and answering all our questions thoroughly.The installation team arrived promptly and did a great job.The differences between our new system and old one are like night and day. We are very impressed with how much more even the house’s temperature and humidity are now - and how incredibly quiet it is, both indoors and out. We were of course trying to get as much “life” as we could from our older system - but, efficiency and potential utility cost savings aside, I wish we had made the change several years ago simply because of the superior air quality the new system provides.

I spent about 8 years encapsulating my 1950s home in Alexandria and became super-informed about what it takes to create an outstanding home environment. In searching for an HVAC company my first question was did they know what encapsulation meant and how to apply the various schedules used to determine load. Mostly they didnt know. Then I spoke with Rich Jones of Comfort Solutions and realized I had finally met someone who was not only an engineer but also a designer and an artist. We were both on the same page and we both knew what I was doing was experimental in some ways. It was not straightforward - it was a challenge because I had employed some new technologies that dont fit into the common niche of most HVAC companies abilities, experience, interest and training.Rich and his colleagues rose to the challenge of helping me perfect my system. It was a challenge because mine is not a typical situation. But, it is one that Fairfax County inspectors have been impressed enough by to ask me to place the house on their Tour of Homes since it sets a standard for these older home restoration and updates. The HVAC system is part of whole environment that works best when all the other parts have been addressed as well. It is the recognition and accounting for of the whole picture where Comfort Solution excels. I have no words. We recently used a Angies List coupon for duct cleaning with a different company. They used a shop vac and didnt even get to all of the vents. It actually increased the dust that was blowing into our rooms. Today we had Comfort Solutions do it right. They were professional, clean, on time, polite, indulged my curiosity about their equipment and process, and impressed the hell out of me! They brought in a 6 foot tall giant vacuum and a compressor. They removed all vents and taped over the holes. They went through every duct line from the furnace and blew all the caked up dirt off of every surface and sucked it right out. Then then repeated the process at every vent in reverse all the back to the furnace. Finally, they did it from both directions on the air return. They sprayed the entire system end to end with an anti-microbial treatment, reinstalled all the vents, and moved all my furniture back into place. I could not ask for a more thorough and complete job. I am impressed and cant recommend these guys enough!

Comfort Solutions , rep, Josh came to our home to give us an estimate on a mini split for one of our rooms.He was most accommodating, answered all the questions, and responded immediately when we had further questions. We wanted multiple estimates on different type of units for a mini split, and he did just that. He kept us up-to-date as it was taking a little bit longer than he had stated, it was going to take because of all the information that we had wanted.After getting several estimates, we ultimately went with Comfort Solutions.Scheduling was easy, and the team showed up first thing in the morning and didn’t leave till almost 6:30 pm in the evening.They did a fabulous job from beginning to end. From introducing themselves, upon arrival. They worked all day long, and then cleaned up the space when they were done. During a busy time for HVAC companies and a recent rip-off quote from a competitor, Rich from Comfort Solutions not only took time to explain the companys transparency policy, but was able to dispatch a service technician to my home within about an hour!!!Jainer the technician was excellent! Jainer was prompt, friendly, and honest about the system and service charges (including an extra cost if the visit took over 30 minutes, which he did his best to prevent). He provided comparison costs for a replacement part and contacted his boss for a system upgrade quote. Rich provided SIX side by side quotes that beat the competing company! I was floored by the speed, efficiency, and efficacy of the whole experience! I wish we had known about Comfort Solutions from the moment our AC went kaput ... they would have saved a lot of headache and hot/humid nights.We plan to accept their estimates for a new system install and will likely take one of their maintenance contracts! ... Weve had the service agreement for several years and our tech is always courteous and seems to do a thorough check. We are happy with the service.We recently had a new system installed. The old Carrier system was still working well after 23 year, but there was a crack in the gas furnace heat exchanger. We were fortunately able to replace it Spring 2020 when there were manufacturer rebates available for an energy efficient heat pump. The service technician were courteous and did a nice job. It is a big investment that I hope will last another 20+ years. Comfort Solutions might not be the cheapest bid, but they seem to do quality work which is important to how well the system will operate.

Installing a thermostat might not sound like much of a project, but installing the latest technology in a building built 30 years ago provided enough challenges.Casey was patient throughout in assigning technicians and in following through during a snowstorm and with an installation hiccup.
