I want to be clear that the work performed by Tommie and T4 is amazing. Tommie and his contractors are honest and ethical, and priced fairly. The quality is perfect, and I would recommend them to anyone. We had some issues which I will detail below, but I want to make sure it’s clear that even with this, I am still providing T4 a 5-star review. These details are to help those of you who may be completely new to hiring a General Contractor like we were, and to give you some advice both generally and working with T4. Also might be a good idea to run any agreement by an attorney, which is another thing I am now realizing I should have done.That said…Our original project was postponed for a total of 78 days. Most of the issues were caused by bad blueprints from the original builders 30+ years ago. That caused T4 to expand the scope of the project multiple times, and sadly at a considerable cost. Supply chain issues and of course the Omicron wave of COVID didn’t help. Again, not any fault of T4.Where T4 needs to improve is in their communications, especially when it comes to providing actual deadlines and time estimates for work to be completed. When someone says they’ll call back by a specific day or time and they don’t, I don’t wait...I call them. If they say they’ll have an answer by a date/time, they need to have an answer or proactively call and request more time or tell you theyll be delayed. This was a constant issue with T4 during the process, and during this project, I was always the one on the defensive and having to call Tommie back because those dates/times went by without contact. We spent south of $80,000 on construction costs, a large part being those of T4, so I don’t think asking for that is asking too much. In the end, this became such a regular issue that Tommie even began calling me multiple times every day to give me updates on the status during the final week of construction. I’m not sure if this was an attempt to make me understand how annoying I was during the process, but after getting such ambiguous dates for nearly 3 months, I was happy to hear from him with updates as often as he wanted to call me with them.Whether you hire Tommie and T4 or any other General Contractor, when you’re in the estimates and negotiation stage, insist on an SLA and make sure a completion date is written into the contract. This is where we went wrong, and I was read the riot act by my lawyer when I told him I had failed to do so. Also make sure that if dates are missed, the SLA provides for compensation or reduced cost. Ensure that the result of a missed SLA item is spelled out so there’s no ambiguity.In the end, I absolutely recommend Tommie and T4. You won’t be sorry. You’ll get top-notch work at a fair price.

First off, I want to say I read some of the reviews on this company before hiring them. And I was a bit concerned about the communication comments left by another reviewer. Reading the comments it seemed the company was receptive to their critiques of their overall experience with them.What I love is a company that doesnt take feedback negatively and actually listens to their clients feedback. With that being said I can safely say they did listen because from beginning to end of my project Tommy and crew stayed in contact with me on my project the whole way through even two to three times a day to update me on anything and was always on time to start the work. This was crucial to me not living in the same city the work was being done in. Communication was on point!I had a few change orders and even that went smoothly as planned! I just have nothing but good things to say about this crew. Just be clear in your scope and when I mean be clear be clear it will save you in the long run.But if you are looking for some honest people whose work is quality, then they will not disappoint. For my next project they are going to get first bid for it.
