Aaron and Seth at Michigan Drain are amazing!! I had a real problem job and talked to multiple sewer “experts” and none of them could compare to the experience Michigan Drain provided. From my initial meeting with Seth to diagnose and explain the problem, to the communication on scheduling the repair and what to expect, they made the entire process easy. These big repairs can make you feel overwhelmed but Seth and Aaron both walked me through the process and at no point did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of my lack of knowledge about this project. In fact they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable in order to earn my business. Aaron understood the situation I was in and did everything he could to turn my nightmare into a great experience. They fixed multiple issues all in one day AND they were by far the best price of all the bids I collected. If you ever need sewer work of any kind don’t waste time looking anywhere else!! Easy, straightforward to work with Michigan Drain LLC. They took care of al the permits, final inspection by the City, etc. Good care of the lawn and surroundings when digging. The job was to install an exterior, extendable, backwater valve in our yard. The cost was high, from my perspective, for a 5-6 hour job involving two people and a small excavator, but similar to a quote I received from another company.

$235 later and a recommendation to replace a pipe that involves moving a cement porch, we did achieve reasonable flow. Disappointing that, we found the real culprit ourselves after doing the laundry. Evidently, because the bathroom and laundry room are back to back. The washer drain had a collection that affected the toilet. The guy didnt make the connection, even though he walked through the laundry room to get to the bathroom.

We highly recommend Michigan drain. Weve used them a couple times now on different properties. This company communicates very well which is a big decision maker when hiring a company to do work for us. We had a main sewer line clog and they came out and attempted to get it unclogged the same day we called, which was unsuccessful because the drain was longer than expected.We ended up needing to have a clean out installed out by the road. They pulled the proper permit and had everything excavated, repaired, inspected and backfilled in a timely manner. Not only was their price reasonable but the owner Aaron and his employees were amazing. They were always on time and gave us a heads up call before arrival.If youre looking for great service, reasonable prices and good quality work Michigan Drain is the company to use.

He explained why he could do it from the outside pipe and didnt have to schlep the drain cleaning unit to the basement drains. It saved me money. I called panicking on a Friday night after 5pm as city sewer was flooding into my basement. I didn’t know what to do or who else to call. The technician I spoke with was patient, communicative, and professional. He quickly diagnosed over the phone that it was a city issue, and directed me in the mass chaos to the correct number for the city of Lansing. After our call he even went out of his way to text me, to make sure I was properly taken care of. They didn’t make a single cent off of me, but still looked out for me as if I was a family member. If you live in the area, don’t go anywhere else.

We called before noon on a holiday weekend needing our main sewer line cleaned out. We had sewage backing up in a floor drain due to this. Within a couple hours they arrived and cleared the main line in less than 15 minutes. They were kind, courteous and listened to what we were telling them. We had this issue 2 years ago so we knew what had to be done.They didn’t make a mess and listened to our requests (keeping the side door closed due to having cats).I would highly recommend them and we live outside of their normal service area (Charlotte) and they still were able to accommodate with a small fee.

I had a fantastic experience with Michigan Drain. From opening the door and being handed their business card to the completion of services, they were professional and extremely hard-working. Ive had a lot of problems with my sewer main the last 6 months and had dealt with other companies but wasnt happy with them. Called Michigan Drain for a non-emergency and they still came out that day even though it was after 8pm. They took the time to explain why my sewer main had to be replaced and were very professional but friendly and didnt talk down to me in a demeaning way like other companies have done. They were up-front about all the costs when it came to replacing the sewer main, including removing the tree in my front yard. I was very surprised by how much work they did to clean up my yard after. When it came to replacing the main, they arrived early and worked far later than I ever expected, then returned the next morning to complete the work. Ive been blown away by the whole experience and have already told friends and family how pleased I am. I will definitely be recommending them and using Michigan Drain again if I have any plumbing problems in the future.

Needed my home sewer drain cleaned out to stop it from backing up into my house.Did a bit of price shopping and Michigan Drain came out ahead, not only for a better price but also for prompt replies and communication. Spoke to Aaron, the owner, and he was down to Earth and stuck to his word as far as what he said in an email and then what we talked about on the phone.The tech who did the drain cleaning, Greg, arrived earlier than anticipated. He was friendly, knowledgeable, quick and thorough. When there was a disagreement between what the price was supposed to be, Greg deferred to what had already been quoted. (Very thankful for that for my family. I work a seasonal job. Things have been slow recently. This didnt even get mentioned though and Greg carried on with his work unhesitatingly.)When Greg had been through the whole drain with the auger once, he ran the camera down to make sure the pipe was clear, and found a section with some roots that was definitely flowing but not as clear as it could have been, and Greg showed a rare work ethic in response. This is the second time Ive used Michigan Drain. Both times, Gregg (the technician), was prompt and professional. I would definitely use them again and recommend their services. Out of all the places I called, they were the most inexpensive and they were able to get out here almost immediately in both cases (a HUGE plus, especially given that my issues werent necessarily emergencies). This last time, Gregg spent more time than initially scheduled for as I had a particularly stubborn clog. Although that particular pipe needs attention from a plumber, Gregg was not only able to get it partially cleared (no more standing water!), he also cleared a different line for me so that I can drain our washer and, since he was unable to clear the first pipe completely, gave me a $25 credit despite being here longer than expected and completely clearing a separate pipe and partially clearing the other one. Thank you to both Gregg and Aaron (the man who responded to my request for service and who set up the appointment so quickly).

Michigan Drain did an outstanding job fixing a bunch of plumbing issues we didn’t even know we had, but were clearly experiencing for years. If you’re searching for some quick advice and looking at this Google Review, just call them!My partner has lived in the same apartment for FOUR YEARS. For the duration of our time in this apartment we have had issues. Nothing really major. Slow water draining in the shower or sink sometimes or the occasional backup. Usually, we put in a maintenance request and someone comes and snakes the drain. Fairly routine and we have a snake, but we can never seem to get anything out and to get water flowing again (which we’ve attributed to poor snaking skills).Well, New Year’s Day I take a shower and the water won’t drain. I figure it’s just slow but it never goes down and I put in a maintenance request. We have a new property management company and I talk to the woman handling the property about our issues in the past and that, usually, someone come and snakes the drain and we go back to business. They send out Michigan Drain.They are there for THREE HOURS trying to unclog this pipe. They asked if I had a tub stopper for baths. I didn’t and told them about my bath bomb stockpile I’m unable to use since the tub won’t retain water. Eventually, they go through snakes and multiple vacuums. My tub eats two of the bits for their machines, and after that they’re not sure if they got the clog out because the pipe is so corroded and stripped a new one needs to be put in.They come back at 8:30pm. Michigan Drain had made sure that was okay with us and it was, as they didn’t want to keep us up but had received the clearance they needed to get the part, come back, and install the new pipe. They bring back a pipe with a drain that has a stopper so I can use my bath bombs (my heart is so full – how thoughtful!). They replace the pipe, but notice that the clog is still there and now think it is between my sink and the bath tub, based on water being somewhere or something while the bath tub pipe was removed.So, they start taking apart the sink. They’re determined to fix our water issues. Those pipes are corroded too. But they remove the part that is PVC so nothing breaks (but still recommend it gets replaced eventually). They’re going at it with their vacuums again but there is so much in there, the pipes are bendy, and they connect to the apartment next door. That apartment currently doesn’t have tenets and it is too late at this point to get in touch with the property management team to get inside the other sink that connects through the wall. But, they have another idea and just keep going. Eventually they find: four caps (toothpaste twisty caps of various sizes), two razor blade guards, an eyebrow pencil sharpener, and A ROLLED UP TOOTHPASTE TUBE.What was supposed to be a simple snake call out was a full ordeal and these guys handled it like champions. I am so grateful for all of their hard work and perseverance and for addressing the issue we had been having for FOUR YEARS. Whoever was called out before must have just been compacting and jamming all of that stuff into our pipes. And, yes, they pointed out we needed new pipes but they NEVER felt pushy or like they weren’t doing what was in our best interest.My partner and I have been looking for houses and we will be calling Michigan Drain for an inspection prior to purchasing. I have so much trust in these men and their integrity that they will forever be my first call when I am a homeowner. They’re quality people doing quality work. They not only fixed our plumbing issues and undid whatever issues have been compounding for who knows how long, they got me a drain with a better stopper so I could use my bath bombs. And, that is some service that cannot be beat.
