I was looking for a Heating, Plumbing & Air company, with skilled technicians to do repairs/replacement of the hot water heater. I have a supplemental heat (Hydronic) which was not working. A neighbor recommended Gundlach they have identical heating system that mine. Late Sunday sent a request for an estimate to Gundlach, the next morning Wayne the manager call me, and three technicians came in the afternoon. Haden was extremely patient in explaining to me what will need to be done. As a senior I did appreciate the extra consideration given. After comparing two other companies, decided to hire Gundlach, and I was not disappointed, Haden and his team did a fantastic job, not only that but Wayne the manager was also involved. I have now a new high efficient hot water heater, and a supplemental heat working. I do highly recommend Gundlach as a professional company and very caring toward their customers.

You can utilize the services of Gundlach with complete confidence. We have utilized them for almost 30 years and wouldn’t consider another HVAC company as we made just one call.I was prepared for an inevitable supply chain delay, but was surprised that we had the new units installed within 10 days. The entire installation took only a day and 1/2 with Jose & Ray providing excellent workmanship. They explained everything they were doing and even took the time to set up the new digital thermostat for us.The company manager, Roy, made the quotation process easy and quite transparent with no unexpected additions.We are so glad we stayed with Trane and Gundlach. Great experience! Ran into an issue after beginning a faucet repair in our older home. Called Gundlach and they were able to fit us in on standby the same day. Al came and quickly assessed the issue and was able to source the correct replacement part very quickly. He replaced the part and checked for leaks and then we were good to go, all within a few hours of the initial call. Al was very clear and knowledgeable and was helpful in explaining the issue. Will definitely call Gundlach with future plumbing needs!

They are polite, timely, and....wait for it....they do what needs to be done! Honestly, weve tried other big name plumbing companies in the RVA area but they either ignored us from the onset or they promised something but did not deliver. Experienced a weekend plumbing emergency involving a damaged shower faucet that ultimately needed replacing. Two guys came out within a matter of hours on a Saturday afternoon and diagnosed the problem and offered an estimate immediately. It was late, so they offered to plug the shower, so we could turn water back on to the house, and return on Monday to fix the issue. At 8am on Monday morning I was able to speak with Joe to schedule a 2:30pm appointment for service. Cory arrived on time and ready to work. He was polite and professional. He got right to work and found a solution that caused the least amount of damage... not taking out a wall to access the pipes. Instead, he went old school fixing the issue with a great soldering job, resulting in lower cost and repair time. He was very courteous and respectful. I am very satisfied with Gundlach and will definitely call on them again next time I have an issue. My appreciation to the entire team!

Al Harper from Gundlach did a phenomenal job with our plumbing issue. He was very personable, timely, and communicative, and the overall cost of the service was extremely reasonable, even with it happening on a Sunday. As first-time homeowners, we appreciate that he took the time to explain to us what was happening, why it happened, and what we can do to avoid it happening again in the future with our old pipes. We hope to not have to call for a plumber anytime soon, but if we do, we will definitely be calling Gundlach!

We first met Jose when he installed our new AC unit last summer. We were so pleased with the work of the technicians, and the wonderful support of the scheduler, that we decided to call Gundlach again when we needed to replace our HVAC system. Jose and David make a great team! They arrived on time each day, worked their hearts out, and made sure to clean and remove any trash from the job site before heading out for the day. They were very friendly, explaining each step in the process, and did a fantastic job! My husband and I are very pleased, and highly recommend Gundlach!

Exceptional service by Gundlach! I made an emergency call on a Saturday and within a couple of hours Randy was at my home. He walked in wearing covers over his shoes, which I really appreciated and was able to identify the problem quickly. Gundlach was transparent with their pricing and although I was anxious to not have water coming down from my ceiling, I was glad Randy showed me a price comparison for weekend work vs coming back on a week day. He did a great temporary fix by punching two small holes (with my permission) into my ceiling that allowed water to drain from the panels into my kitchen sink. The payment app was being finicky and he made sure to follow up with the accounting office to make sure I was only charged my $89 service fee once. When he and a co-worker returned to my house the following Tuesday, they were courteous and professional. I really appreciated their efficiency and was on my way to work by mid-morning. Will definitely use Gundlach again and send other folks their way!

Well, we found that with Gundlach when an old heat pump finally bit the dust. From the analysis of the problem to the counseling on our options, we always felt that we were in good hands and getting sound advise. Further, after committing to a replacement, the installation process could not have gone smoother. A special thanks to Jose and Matt for their wonderful work, great communication on the process, and going out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with the end product. While temperatures continued to plummet this winter, (2017-2018) Gundlach made every effort to check out my pipes and thermostats without hesitation during those busy below freezing days. My scheduled maintenance was thorough, Gary and Zach were more than courteous, they were informative, happy to answer questions, and were able to date, clean, and set my units to optimum capacity until the next spring cleaning maintenance schedule. Im very pleased and have a bit more peace of mind knowing they didnt hit me with any unnecessary costs. We lost our AC on a Thursday night but didnt notice until Friday night the weekend of Memorial day. I waited until Tuesday to call but they were right out! Found that the fan motor had gone bad causing my system to freeze. They offered a repair or replacement and were fully transparent about the pros and cons of both options. They promptly had the whole system changed out. They even ran into some issues from the previous installation that required a lengthy visit. They promised they would have us in a cool home by nightfall and they held true. They were courteous and confident, polite and honest! They were transparent throughout the whole process! I’m the quintessential DIYer when it comes to home projects, well, I was wrong. Replaced a water heater in my mom’s home, got the piping all ready to sweat, and could not get the pipes hot enough to solder. I was in trouble! “Sorry mom.” I didn’t know of any plumbing services when I came across a Gundlach Plumbing ad on-line. Called the office up and they said they could get out here in 3 hours. Considering the mess I was in, I thought that was great! I was wrong again because the technicians immediately called me back and said we’ll be a half an hour. I was like WOO-HOO! They arrived on time, looked at my mess and immediately came up with a plan to salvage and save my project. Now, they could have told me, this is all wrong, we’ll have to start from scratch like most companies today would. But they didn’t. They were completely honest with their assessment of the situation. Thats something I really appreciate from a company. They fixed my problem, gave me a great price, tidied up everything and were on their way. 100% total professionals! Will I use them again, YES. Gary came quickly to my call that I was getting no cool air from my heat pump. He found the problem: a copperhead had shorted out the condenser! He removed the barbecued snake and proceeded to replace the condenser only to find out, after much analysis and testing, that the compressor had been fried. I was impressed with Garys expertise and his good manners. He wore covers over his feet so as to not track in dirt from outside. I am very happy with Gundlach and will call them again from my HVAC or plumbing needs.

Our service was to reattach stainless steel kitchen sink that had fallen away from the granite countertop. Using old brackets was not an option. Corey, our serviceman, researched and found the perfect under-sink repair kit that attached sink supports to the side of the cabinet underneath. Kudos to Corey! The only problem was shipping delay and limited communication due to holidays and inclement weather.

We have been with Gundlach for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Recently, we had an entire HVAC system (Trane) installed and are more than pleased with it. Johnny arrived right on time and began work immediately on the outside unit. Joshua arrived shortly thereafter and began work on the air handler. Then Manny and Chris came to start working on the additional duct work to add four more air vents. They all worked together as a team and knew exactly what needed to be done to get the system installed in one day. In spite of the heat, they worked continuously to be on schedule with each others work. They were very neat and clean, covering the floors and cleaning up after the job was finished;. They were very polite and personable. Johnny was sure to give us all the paper work about the equipment and explain how everything worked before he left. We were pleased to have them be our technicians to install our new system. And the system works wonderfully just as Kevin said it would when he gave us the estimate for the work. His recommendations for the necessary equipment and additional vents were right on target. We recommend Gundlach and all of these men who took such good care of us. I recently tried to be the big man on campus and fix the bad leak in my tub faucet. I went to Lowes, bought the parts and presto... the leak was gone bit the shower wasnt getting any water! So I decided to call Gundlach. Tim Merchant and his assistant came out ( and I feared a huge bill ) after careful assessment Tim made a couple of suggestions that could fix the problem at little cost to me ( how about that! ) The final result he went the extra mile made sure every component was working right, and got the shower n tub working like new again - and all for a low price! I kid you not! He could of slapped me a huge bill for the time he was there and how important this job was for me... There are a lot of good plumbing services in town but I will always choose Gundlach... I woke up to my home nice and warm on a July morning. Ive dealt with a broken AC unit every summer for the last 6 years, and when your home is in the upper 90s it isnt any fun. I have an insurance plan with Residential MD that I will be canceling,because 90% of my service calls are for my Heatpump, and as much as they have come out to work on it, it should be brand new. Gundlach was the only company who would come out on short notice when I called at 3pm on a Friday. They were the 9th place I called including my insurance company. The gentleman who answered the phone was beyond empathetic and understanding of the emergency to the situation. With 90+ weather, my house was quickly reaching upper 80s about to reach 90 indoors. A technician was sent out in 45min, and he was right on time. He was more upset with the previous work that had been done on my unit than I ever was, but then again I trusted the previous techs that came out took care of my unit the way this guy did. He told me in lamens terms what was wrong, how it should of been fixed, how he was going to fix it, and then check the other parts in the unit to make sure they were ok and not damaged from the previous companies not doing the whole job properly. He went above and beyond, making sure I didnt need freon, to avoid another service call and fee, then told me how to clean it and that I needed to do that every so often. I had no idea, I though I had to call someone else to do it, I thought I just switched out my filter and got yearly cleanings. I will be canceling my insurance with Residential MD, who has just been a massive headache with false claims to easier home ownership.When a company and its technicians treat your home like its theirs and they treat you like real family, then you keep them.

Had Daniel and Wayne come out to take a look at what I was told by another plumbing company was a belly in my pipe - located under a concrete slab in my family room. Other company want to put in a clean out (which they said I did not have) and dig up my floor to replace the pipe. Wayne found the clean out located in my yard. Daniel ran the camera and they found that I did not have a belly - it was just old pipes that needed cleaning out. These guys worked hard to figure this out and could not HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL AND KNOWLEDGABLE. Gundlach - you have my business forever!!!!!!!! Wayne and Daniel are the best. SO kind and helpful and know what they are doing

Called Gundlach May 21, 2019 after another company told me my main pipe needed to be replaced and it could not be cleaned due to a clog. Al came 1st thing May 22. Checked water flow and main pipe all was working fine. Al calmed my fears of a major problem with my plumbing and gave me a price lock for any future date if and when main pipe needed replacement. Peace of mind is Priceless. Al did a fine job and I will definitely call company with any problems in the future.

On a Sunday morning my heating wasnt coming on and I checked the web and called Gundlach. After talking to a tech it made sense to schedule on Monday. Gundlach followed up and Gary and Chris came on time. Gary diagnosed and explained everything clearly. Things were running in under an hour. Very satisfied with fantastic service.

John and Al came a few days ago to diagnose a water hammer issue and came back today to fix the problem. They were extremely polite, knowledgeable, and cleaned up after the work was done. Definitely would recommend them for any plumbing needs.

Expensive but they got the job done the same day we reached out. 550 for the water heater and the total was 1400. It took 2 hours roughly to install. I asked for a breakdown of the invoice and the response was that it is a flat rate.
