Excellent service. I think they were subcontracted with the company we were dealing with for our electric water heater. When they first came in, unfortunately I was dissatisfied as the issue wasnt resolved. Silas team amazingly reached out and offered to send a senior tech to resolve the issue. And they did! The tech was meticulous, professional, timely, and polite. No more annoying beeps from the water heater. Thank you Sila! Would definitely recommend them.

Sila Service man was on time, explained the work to done for this boiler tune up. He was neat and gave a good summary of boiler condition. Took about 1 hr for this tune up, no parts needed repair/replacing. Overall excellent.

When our furnace broke down Sila was there within hours to help. The employees were very professional and friendly. When our new furnace was installed they took the time to review all functions and explain the warranty and maintenance program. During the installation they discovered there was not a sufficient amount of venting and installed an additional vent. Our basement was left spotless!. Oh.! They even followed up with a secondary inspection which went flawless.

Silas HVAC technicians are top notch (with one or two hiccups). When our central AC failed over the summer, the technician who arrived took the time to explain the failure and options for replacement. We went with heat pumps which were installed a week later.We required some electrical work which Sila performed and could have been better - we had a working system when they arrived and non-functioning when they left, and the work could have been neater - lots of detritus left behind from this. One of two smart thermostats was working and It turns out that wiring for our two units was reversed and a wire had not been connected properly. The follow-up technician was fantastic in straightening this out and rewiring accordingly.Flash forward to this week when we noticed that the house was dustier than usual. I looked in our air handlers and saw that they forgot to put air filters in with the original install. A technician came out promptly to install them and also correct an issue with the system where it was running only in stage 2 mode (loud all the time). He spent the time to correct programming and answer questions on my part. Honestly, very very happy with their follow up service and attention to correct the issues.

I was very impressed with the service provided by Sila HVAC and especially our tech, Greg Martin! Greg called before arriving and was very friendly and knew our Bosch heat pumps, Carrier gas furnaces working with ecobee thermostats. He knew these products well and performed the full seasonal service on all of our equipment. He cleaned the coils in the cased coils which I have never seen done before. His inspection was comprehensive and I feel very fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and thorough technician. assure the optimal efficiencies of our multi-brand installations. Sila will be my go-to HVAC service provider and I will be sure to ask for Greg Martin on my next call to Sila. A great overall experience.

Everyone I have talked to from the intake person, to Ray, the initial tech who came out and assessed, and Jose, the tech who did the replacement and installation were all great to work with. Jose C. Did a wonderful job removing my old water heater and install a new one. There were a few issues with things not being labeled on my electric panel. Jose was persistent and figured things out. Jose also answered all my questions. Im satisfied with the job he did and all my interactions with the Sila staff.

I have used SILA for 14 years. I recently had a new UNICO high velocity system installed as my older system was requiring expensive repairs. They were able to install my new one within 48 hrs and during the hottest days of the summer. It went well and worked great for 4 weeks then stopped cooling. I called SILA and they sent Ryan out within 24 hrs. He called to let me know he was on his way and arrived on time. Ryan was extremely knowledgable and was able to diagnose the problem quickly. He explained everything as he worked. A valve had a very slow leak and the unit was now out of fluid. He found the leak, replaced the valve then spent time to pressurize system correctly and add the coolant. My AC is now working like a charm. Ryan also mentioned that he would let the other staff know so in the future they would be aware of a possible valve issue during install. Would highly recommend SILA and especially the senior tech Ryan Love.

I have a very outdated furnace in my Quincy home. I had Sila heating and air conditioning come out to take a look at possibly replacing the unit. They sent out a very nice young man name Mike Milisi. We called for a furnace check up and cleaning-Jay who answered the phone was friendly & polite. He set up an appointment for Nick to service our furnace. Nick ( who is wonderful) showed up on time and proceeded to check out our furnace . He told us that our furnace had some issues due to the original installers work. We had rust through out our furnace and a little hole in one of the pipes. He stated it was from condensation due to the fact that our original installer used too big of an AC for our square footage and for the duct work in our condo. It caused condensation to occur after the AC shut off causing the rust and hole ( over time- 11 1/2 years) and potentially causing a carbon monoxide leak. Nick showed us pictures of our furnace verifying the rust etc. We could have waited as it wasnt an emergency right now but we figured why wait when prices will probably rise next year. We scheduled an appointment to install a new AC (2 ton) and furnace. Mike and Cori came to install them and they were (are) amazing- great guys funny, polite, friendly. They answered all our questions and did an unbelievable job of cleaning up after they were done. Josh came by to check with us after Cori & Mike were done to make sure everything was done correctly and if we were satisfied with everything and everyone. We were and are! We cannot say enough about how professional, friendly & down to earth everyone we had contact with at Sila were to us. Sila is a great example of EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE in a company.

Sila is great! Several years back, they installed my mini-split AC/heat units in a single day - a 90+ degree day in July to boot - and had the entire house cooled off by evening. The heating function came in handy just a couple of weeks ago.Sila is my trusty “go-to” for heating and air conditioning service and they never disappoint. My boiler recently stopped working late afternoon on an 18 degree Saturday and a technician was at my front door at 8:00 Sunday morning. He got the heat going but the system required some follow on maintenance. I got a call first thing the next morning and follow up was scheduled and completed. I was SO grateful to have my heat back in less than 24 hours - I mean it was cold!Every Sila employee I’ve worked with - from office staff to salespeople to installers to technicians - have been professional, courteous and pleasant to work with.They have a lifelong customer in me!

Sila’s Harry Plowman provided us with top notch service in our home today!! He got our furnace up and running again after it had shut down due to a tiny disconnected wire in the thermostat. He also discovered and corrected an unrelated problem with ductwork settings that will significantly improve heat distribution in our house. If that wasn’t enough, he also replaced a troublesome filter on our other, older furnace that was giving me fits! Thank you Harry for a job well done!

I’ve been using Sila for a number of years and couldn’t more highly recommend them. I first worked with them to replace an HVAC system on a property I was managing and have continued to work with them for electrical and plumbing needs over the last few years. They’re extremely responsive, transparent (including with pricing), and incredibly helpful. I’ve had them come out for emergency calls and when they haven’t been able to send someone out, they’ve always walked me through what I needed to do to prevent further issues and damage until someone could come out and haven’t charged me for that help. There’s really no comparison between Sila and any other providers I’ve worked with in Boston.

We are recent Sila users and had two very large projects with the firm. ROY, the plumber was excellent and easily identified that we had a much larger issue than merely a clogged sink-he worked carefully replacing a corroded sewer line, and coordinated the thoughtful re-installation of a portion of our delicate wood floor with a Sila recommended carpenter and his talented son!The second project encompassed the installation of a new heat pump/AC system (with upgraded thermostats) a redo of crushed older ducts, new returns and registers and we cannot say enough about HERNAN who worked tirelessly, professionally and so extraordinarily respectfully for the duration of the work.Each experience with the installers as well as the walk-thru with STEVE on HVAC was excellent as they answered many questions along the way and kept us informed of the process. I commend Sila for having made such hires and hope they will be recognized accordingly.Finally, the Senior Project Manger, Sam and Field Supervisor, Brendan spent time with us and checked in every day to make sure some of the unexpected initial snags were corrected to our satisfaction.

Ryan as service technician excellent and professional. He deserves 5 stars for his service visit.However we purchased an hvac unit 1 year ago and immediately upon installation the condensation plate cracked and water leaked everywhere and the AC did not work.They came out within 2 days and repaired the unit which was great. However, they did not completely seal the unit as there was cold air leaking through the accessory panel and numerous ducts. A little more attention to detail during the installation would have prevented this by sealing the unit appropriately.So far, service calls have gone quite smoothly. However, if the initial installation was done correctly, I would not have needed to make 2 service calls already on a 1 year old unit.Customer service thus far excellent. Installation- 3 stars; customer service and technician assessments 5 stars

The team I had was amazing. Tony, Dave and Jay for the heating and cooling installation and the plumber whose name I did not get this morning for installing a new water heater.They were professional, pleasant, and so easy to deal with. Arrived on time and worked over 10 hours the first day in order to get the heating unit up and running. They also explained how the new unit worked in detail.I have used another company in the past and their service was horrible and the service personnel were difficult to deal with. Bottom line is that Sila was great to work with and I would highly recommend them.

We had David G come out after another company told us that a part needed to be replaced but because our system was ancient (12 yrs old) that the part was not available anymore and we needed a new system ~$7500.David arrived on time and did some troubleshooting. He cleaned the system (specifically igniter area) and did say if that did not work we might need 1 or 2 parts BUT that the parts are definitely available. WELL the system is working and the area just needed to be cleaned. No parts needed. It took a bit longer than the original alloyed time BUT he actually provided service. He took time to try and fix things without having us automatically spend $ on parts let alone tell us we need a new system. Thank you David G.

Sila installed two sets of Mitsubishi minisplit ductless AC/heat units in our old Victorian House. The units themselves are pretty good, but this review specifically is a shoutout for the technician Nick who helped clean out two of the units and did some other inspections today. If it wasnt for Nick (who I would give 5 stars), I would be leaving a less stellar review about Silas service (~3 stars).While Silas project managers, phone operators, and technicians have generally been nice, we received mixed messages from them across visits about the necessary frequency for cleaning the filters (everything from no comment about cleaning at the initial installation visit, to cleaning a couple of times per year at the second installation visit, to cleaning every month). One of the wall units was not behaving properly (overheating or overcooling a room). When I inspected it, I realized that the inside (including the rotating fan blade) was covered in mold. Sila sent an initial technician a few days ago who was not very good at communication: he didnt explain anything unless I asked specific questions, and he spent the majority of the consultation either quietly holding his hand against the inner coils of the mini-splits as if he was trying to exorcise them or waiting on the phone with tech support for the mini-splits. Despite one of the explicit goals of the visit being cleaning of the minisplits, he only wiped down the inner surface of one of them without wiping down the second minisplit or cleaning either of the moldy fan blades. Added to all of this, I found it somewhat silly that he (and at least one of the phone operators) insisted on calling the mold biological growth. Really. Guys, its mold. Its okay. You can call it what it is. Im not going to blame my mysterious health problems on your product.On that backdrop, Nick came today after I called Sila asking them to finish the job. He was very professional and communicated well: he explained exactly what he needed to do, the order in which he was going to accomplish the tasks, and when he completed each task. He clarified some issues about the filters, and he also offered up a suggestion about installing UV-C lights in the mini-splits as a means to reduce the growth of mold. Even though I did not yet opt to install UV-C lights, he was upfront about the pricing and was not pushy. He was efficient and moved quickly from one task to the next without delay. Finally, he was patient and was not perturbed by my toddler son who was noisy, needed a diaper change, etc. So, kudos to Nick for being a great professional.
