    This company is exceptional. They have achieved the perfect mix of technical know how and integrity, and when you find that you celebrate! They did a great job with my HVAC install and I got to see how they respond when something goes wrong because there was a manufacturer defect in one of the parts. Rather than pass the buck or make excuses, they brought in a tech from the manufacturer and oversaw the entire process required to swap out the defective equipment. My impression of Cool Breeze is its staffed by really smart people who still care a lot about doing right by others. Dont hesitate to call them.

    Called this company one Saturday morning about some heating issues we were having. They came out the same day and gave us a two hour window. Rene was the tech who diagnosed the problem and gave us plenty of recommendations for the issue we were having. He was very knowledgeable and very patient. Price was fair as well.Would recommend.

    Great service from the Cool Breeze team! Our water-sourced heat pump needed replacement and we received a very reasonable quote for the work. We had no heat and really appreciated the efforts of Danielle and Mary to get us scheduled ASAP. Carlos and Joaquim did a fantastic job with the install in our very tight mechanical closet. They took great care to ensure that they moved the old unit out and the new unit in without any damage and they did a great job of cleaning up after the work was completed. Our shiny new Climate Master unit is working great and we are comfortable in our condo again. Would highly recommend Cool Breeze for your HVAC needs.

    Cool Breeze to the Rescue. My water heater started leaking late in the evening and I was able to call the office and have a plumber out first thing the next morning. He has a water heater with him and easily replaced the broken one. They are my constant go to for the majority of the service work on my house. They are kind, prompt, reasonably priced and a pleasure to work with. I am so grateful for the top level of service they provide!

    We were previously helped by another big name company who told me my AC is beyond repair and quoted me over $9K for replacement. We reached out to Ron at Cool Breeze for a second quote. Ron and his staff were super helpful. They identified the problem right away and told me I can get the system fixed by replacing a leaking part which only costs $365. Cool Breeze saved me $9K!!!!     Cool Breeze installed my HVAC unit years ago and has done periodic maintenance on it. They have always been courteous, professional, crisp and knowledgeable. Their service has also been quick. I recently had a blower motor replaced on the unit and Victor diagnosed the problem immediately, provided a quote and replaced the motor all in a matter of a couple days. In a world with sloppy client management, Cool Breeze was joy to work with and much appreciated by me!

    Came on last minute call at the end of the day. Problem ended up being very simple and had to pay visit fee only. Not cheap for basically cleaning out a faucet head, but not their fault, and they were very reassuring and they didnt try to upsell me. Also very communicative. Appreciate the visit very much.

    This is my second HVAC system Ive had installed by Cool Breeze in the past two years...hopefully I am finished for now. First of all, they do a great job and have never tried to sell me what I dont need. They are easy to work with, with a simple process and super nice people. Other companies were pushing overblown systems at twice the price. If my water heater breaks down next, Ill call them because they are fast, honest and just the kind of folks that you would want to work with...from the owner Ron, to the office team to the installers. Just what I wanted and no stress.

    Cool Breeze was actually recommended to me by my own plumber, who was unable to fix a water heater issue, but Cool Breeze could. Since that time (a few months ago), I needed their services again for 2 toilets (Im not very handy myself!). Matt (for the water heater) and Steven (for the toilets) both did an excellent job. They were courteous, cleaned up behind themselves, and on time. And all of the issues were fixed! I am a very happy and satisfied customer. And, I can recommend them with pleasure.

    My a/c was out the hottest week ever in DC. Walter showed up very kind, courteous and gentle. He diagnosed the situation and found one small thing was out of place that kept the outdoor unit from triggering. It was a bit of a hassle to get to the outdoor unit but Walter was very gracious. He fixed the problem quickly, within 45 minutes...$125 diagnostic fee plus the $45 fix $170 later my a/c is cooling like its new.My real estate agent referred Cool Breeze to me because they fix what they can and are fair in their dealings.     My central air conditioning suddenly stopped on a Saturday afternoon. I called Cool Breeze and they scheduled a service call for me on Sunday afternoon! I was very surprised because I didn’t expect weekend service and certainly not service in under 24 hours. The person who took my call looked up my records, told me the diagnostic fee and said that because the unit was still under warranty the total fee might only be the diagnostic fee. The HVAC guy called before he came to say he was on his way, and, upon arrival quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Sure enough, I was only charged the diagnostic fee. Great efficient and timely service from a honest vendor!! What more could you ask for?

    I used Cool Breeze to replace the original AC unit (16 yrs old) at my condo back in 2021. At the time, I thought they were very reasonably priced, reliable when it came to scheduling, and just generally great to work with.Called them again last week to come back and look at a thermostat power issue I’d been having, and once again, they were just outstanding to work with. Allen was the technician who came by, and he was so thorough and knowledgeable and just THE NICEST guy to boot. Would definitely recommend this business to anyone in the DMV area looking for HVAC replacement or repair services. Cool Breeze for the customer service win & very fair pricing, in my opinion.

    Our Heat pump AC had always been incredibly loud and did not cool the upstairs rooms completely. Last week the blower motor failed during a heatwave. Called several contractors who said they didn’t service our zip code (20009). Cool Breeze Heating & AC sent someone right over the next day, diagnosed the problem & ordered the part. Part got held up in shipping during Labor Day holiday but they kept us updated. Their technician came right over as soon as the part came in, also increased the speed setting to improve cooling upstairs. The new installed motor is absolutely whisper quiet and the rooms are much cooler upstairs now. We’re very pleased!

    Our HVAC unit broke down on the hottest month of the summer 2023, July, and needed a complete replacement. CoolBreeze has already replaced one HVAC unit for us in the past, so we called them again. A consultant came out that same day and in couple of hours we had a price and install proposals. As soon as our unit came in, a wonderful team of technicians came out at 7:30 in the morning and worked relentlessly until 5 pm to install everything for us.     Are use cool breeze for many years when I lived in Silver Spring. A few years ago I moved to Columbia and started getting my unit serviced by a different company. Turned out that company could not keep a scheduled appointment and they gave me bad advice on several occasions. Since then I have returned to cool breeze and I’ve been very satisfied. The technician who came out this time did a great job and was very helpful. He even spotted some things from my previous company that were incorrect and needed to be fixed.     Recently had a new heat pump installed in my library. The installation was very well organized by Chris Musso. Installers Jorge, Joaquin and Brian were excellent and proficient doing the installation. They were mindful of your property and very well organized. Installations of new equipment can be worrisome to the consumer, but this was undoubtedly the best I have experienced in my home.

    I totally recommend Cool Breeze! I have an older HVAC system that was having problems, both of my condensers stopped working. Ive been worried I may need to replace the two condensers, however Alex at Cool Breeze assured me that he could fix them with a few new parts. Since the brand is no longer available, he had to order and retrofit but they are now working great! The cost was super reasonable and the customer service at the company was great.     I highly recommend Cool Breeze Plumbing, Heating & A/C. Last summer they came to our rescue when the hot water tank burst in the middle of the night. More recently we had trouble with our HVAC system and NEST thermostat. We found Alex, our Cool Breeze technician to be extremely knowledgeable, informative and pleasant. He resolved our problems and explained what had gone wrong which I really appreciated. He arrived early, worked hard and did not complain when we asked him to remove his shoes indoors! The customer service is also excellent and they are a 24/7 company which is a godsend. We will be signing a maintenance contract with them as soon as our current contract with a company that misdiagnosed the problem Alex correctly identified (and whose technicians are sometimes rude) runs out!

    Our house has baseboard heat provided by a boiler. Our system went down on a Friday morning on one of the coldest days of the year. Cool Breeze had a tech out by noon who got the heat working again for the weekend. They told us they needed to come back Monday to replace one part for a permanent fix. Tech showed up Monday morning and replaced the part. In the mean time, my wife and two small children were very comfortable over a very cold weekend. Very professional, timely, courteous.     I dont usually write reviews, but I had an incredible experience. On a recent 90+ MD Saturday night, my air conditioning went out. First thing the next day, I called anyone who would take my call and Cool Breeze was quick to schedule a 2-hr window of time for me on a Sunday (take that most delivery places!). One other HVAC place, apparently open on Sunday, never called back and my previous HVAC contractor told me they were going to charge a premium fee to come out and an additional premium on any service - why are you even open on Sunday?The Cool Breeze service technician called before he came, diagnosed the problem within 5 min. and was out in less than 30 min. He told me the price of the service before installing. I was ready for the hidden fees, knowing that it was a Sunday in June w/ no A/C. Just as advertised - part / service / service call.     This is by far the best experience Ive had with a repair service. When my air conditioning went out, I called them (based on other favorable reviews) at 7p on a record-breaking DC hot day. Ron fit me in and came an hour later, juggling my emergency with several others - and some still to go. I had older guests in town who needed a break from the heat. Ron worked in the dark replacing a damaged part. When it looked like I might also need a new motor, he decided to hold off and check again two hours later to see if it just needed a chance to cool down from the broken part that had overheated the rest of the system. Each time he could have run up the bill, he didnt and talked me through what he was doing. Then he checked on us twice afterwards. PLUS the office staff there are amazing. It was a long night for Ron but by midnight we had air conditioning and my elderly guests got great sleep thanks to his hard work and expertise.I HIGHLY recommend Cool Breeze.

    A technician from Cool Breeze came over and misdiagnosed a problem with my a/c system, which could have cost me a lot more than was necessary because it turned out the problem was easily repaired. In his defense, I know they were overloaded by calls for service at that time and he may have felt rushed.Regardless, the company called me to apologize and the owner insisted on refunding the diagnostic fee even though I said it wasnt necessary.     Wonderful job and tremendous care. I had good fortune with Cool Breeze technicians for my Bryant air handler and compressor service, as well as, a low-boy electric water heater replacement.     Summary:This review is for Cool Breeze. Although the work was completed in Oct 2020, I waited until most of my basement was finished (i.e. final inspection) before posting a review. Overall, Cool Breeze did a fantastic job replacing my three HVAC systems. They also installed additional ducting in the basement. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.Background: We have three HVAC systems/zones that condition the air in our house. With the older HVAC systems, the repairs began to get expensive (e.g. AC ran out of R-22 freon) and we were planning to get the basement done within the next six months. With Spring and Fall being the best times to install HVAC systems, we opted to have the HVAC systems replaced in October 2020. We also wanted to add zones and branches (supply/return vents) at the same time in preparation for completing the basement.We conducted alot of research and narrowed down our choice to Carrier and Bryant brand systems. Eventually we settled on purchasing new Bryant systems. Picking the HVAC brand is only half of the solution. We read that alot of HVAC systems break down because the HVAC contractors didnt install them correctly. Therefore, it was important for us to choose the right HVAC installer to perform the installation. To decide on the HVAC installer, we created a spreadsheet of all possible Bryant HVAC installers in our area (within 25 miles). We filtered out the ones that were not Bryant Factory Authorized Dealers and NATE certified. We also looked at reviews and ratings on BBB and Angies list. Finally, we called about 5 Bryant HVAC contractors to come in an give us a price estimate. After all of our reseach, we decided to go with Cool Breeze.The Review:We met with Ron, owner of Cool Breeze, a few times during the selection process. Ron was a middle-aged man with a good sense of humor. I mention age here because a different contractor / owner I met with made me feel like he would retire within the next 10 years and I didnt know what would happen to the 10 year warranties if that were to occur. At times, he was a little tough to get ahold of since he was extremely busy, though I left messages with his assistant instead of calling him on his cell phone.Ron was one of the only contractors that was transparent with me by explaining everything and not being pushy. I felt like he wanted to work with me instead of forcefully trying to drive the project in a direction that I didnt want. We agreed that it was better to take the time in order to ensure a quality installation than to rush through the project. He also came in with the most reasonable price for everything I needed. The rebates and discounts were broken out on the proposal so it was obvious he worked hard in finding all of the rebates and discounts that could be applied to my project.The project took 3 weeks to complete. One of the most impressive things was the amount of thought put into where and how the components would be installed. All of the components and wires were neatly installed and organized in a very efficient manner. During the project, all property and flooring was protected to avoid damage to my home.Although there were a few things missed such as a missing logo on the air conditioner and supply vent which was not painted black like the others, Ron and his team corrected each of these issues withouth hesitation. Almost one year after completing the HVAC project, the basement finishers noticed that there was a duct that wasnt properly connected. When I told Ron about this, he had absolutely no problem coming in and fixing the issue.Overall, we are extremely happy with our HVAC system and our choice of Cool Breeze as our HVAC vendor. We would definitely hire Cool Breeze again and we recommend them to everyone. To get a sense of how much I appreciated their work, I have prepaid 10 years of maintenance on the HVAC systems from Cool Breeze. Thank you Ron and team for a job well done!

    Great service. Team installed new system 1 year ago. Had a power surge this July 4th weekend, AC went down. Ron (owner) was out at the house the next day (Sunday) to inspect.     These guys are great. We recently bought a house that had an older Unico high-velocity HVAC system that was struggling to keep our house cool once it got above 90. We had another company come out who thought the system was on its last legs. Called Cool Breeze and they sent out Chris, who is very experienced with Unico / SpacePak systems and he promptly diagnosed the problem and got everything running perfectly. It’s been a dream having a 70 degree house when it’s 90+ outside. We’ll still have to replace the system at some point in the future, but Cool Breeze saved us $10,000+ for the time being when they could have been like other companies and told us to just replace the system.     I contacted Pure Breeze for my carpet in my apartment. I wanted to get it cleaned before I moved out of my unit. They said they could get any stains out including something that has been stuck in my carpets for over a year. I have a toddler and she digs crayon and food and spilled my coffee into the carpet. I tried to cleaned this myself and I just couldnt.So I talked to the owner, Ron and he said he will be able to help me out.The appointment arrival time was at 9 and the technician came by 9:05. Honestly that already put me in a good mood because some cleaning services I have used before are always so late and ruins my plans for the day.He got started cleaning. Took about an hour and half.     We have been using Cool Breezes plumbing folks for several years now. They were very helpful when we had to get my Mother-in-laws house ready for sale. There were a variety of small plumbing projects that they took care of including offering us pointers on how we could save money but fix the problems. They also work on our home, most recently replacing the dishwasher. We bought the dishwasher from Sears but I like the peace of mind that Cool Breeze brings when it comes to installing it correctly in our home. Sears tried to sell us special hoses. The dishwasher already had them. Poor product knowledge by Sears folks and I just dont have any confidence in their circus of installers. Cool Breeze comes through, every time.

    This by far has been THE BEST experience that Ive ever had using any services by any company.. Spoke with Ron ( the owner ) I told him that my hot water heater which I had replaced just 1 yr prior had gone bad and was leaking and that I had no water. He told me that he could have it replaced within a couple of days..( this happened at the start of a holiday weekend so waiting a couple of days seemed fair ) the best part was that he even helped me get the broken hot water heater covered under the manufacturer warranty even though I didnt purchase the old unit from them and the fact that they dont even sell the brand that went bad..     My 12 year old high efficiency propane furnace recently required replacement during the dead of winter in Montgomery county MD. Ron from Cool Breeze provided the best advice for furnace and AC selection that maximized current utility rebates, tax credits and he provided the best price ($1200 less than the closest estimate). His team installed the Bryant Evolution on a 12 degree January day 2013. His mechanics removed the old system, installed the new system, and cleaned up flawlessly. Once hardware was deployed, Ron inspected the installation and expertly converted the gas valve from natural gas to propane. The new furnace is 97% efficient and within 90 minutes brought the house temperature from 54 degrees to a 68 degree toasty warm. I absolutely recommend this Cool Breeze and plan to use when my other HVAC system requires replacement.

As an area of improvement, I wanted to get more advice/insights about whether or not my house was suitable for tankless water heater options but did not get much an analysis/comparison to help make an informed decision, leading me to go the route of just replacing with a traditional tank model.     Had four quotes to replace my heat pump. They were the lowest and did not try to up sale me or tell me that I need extra work done. They showed up when they said they would, both for the quote and for the install. Their install team ran into some trouble installing my system due to how my house is laid out. Instead of stretching the repair out over two days, they worked late to finish the install; on a Friday and took 11 hours. The only thing that they could improve is that their scheduler did not seem very familiar with HVAC. Thus the communication was a bit jumbled but got worked out.     Cool Breeze installed 2 new Bryant heat pumps in our house (replacing two 22 year old Trane units). (Doing this upgrade in conjunction with a BGE Home Energy Audit allowed us to get a much larger rebate on the 2 new heat pumps). Upstairs we went with a 16 SEER 2 ton replacement unit and on the main level we went with the top of the line inverter based 22 SEER unit (which automatically varies operation between 2.5 and 5 tons). Cool Breeze did an excellent job, taking their time with the installation. Of particular note, they fabricated a box in the air duct for holding the air filter so that we could utilize a standard size filter (rather than the more expensive unique sized Bryant filters). I was a bit hesitant in purchasing the more expensive inverter based heat pump unit, but did so because of the large rebate from BGE. And we are glad that we did as the air coming out of the duct seems much warmer than that of the old 2 1/2 ton Trane 14 SEER unit. The home energy audit modeling of our home estimated that these two new heat pumps in combination with the attic sealing and increased attic insulation will save us ~$1000. each year in energy costs... Based on the quality of the work, I am really happy that we went with Cool Breeze!

Master Plumber Ronan came within the promised window of time; descaled the Navien; flushed the condensation pump, that had stopped working due to sediment buildup, changed the sediment filter on the Navien waterline and charged the quoted price. He went the extra mile by providing DIY maintenance information to save money, along with additional information about the operation of our existing HVAC systems, explained how each system works and the service schedule for optimal efficiency, corrected the position of a drainage tube to prevent freezing and clogging, explained how to change the mainline water filter all while being very professional and efficient.
