The plumber that came to my house, Anthony McDaniel, was a consummate professional, and I cant remember the last service technician who was completely honest the way he was! My daughter had done a partial repair of our bathroom sink, but had a problem completing the work. He advised us what needed to be done to finish the job, and gave us other recommendations about a few other plumbing issues we were having. My daughter and I are both living on fixed incomes, and dont have much money to spare, so we try to do what we can as to minor repairs. Anthony was very kind, friendly, and humorous, making us very comfortable, and respected. I would call The Drain Guys in a heartbeat for anything plumbing related, and I see why they have such high ratings. I will recommend them to all of my friends! The Drain Guys is the best kept secret for pipe replacement. I went through two crummy plumbers who charged for camera work and didnt know what was going on with my drain. Called The Drain Guys and was glad I did. This team had master plumber Jay, along with his team, Parker and the rest of the crew to correctly solve the issue. The team provided insight on each part of the job, arrived promptly and even worked late. Job itself was extremely clean and was smart in terms of the geography of where my pipe needed to be. I now feel safe with a long term pipe in my property.I highly recommend this crew for your plumbing needs. Excavation can be a dirty job but these Michaelangelos made it look like a work of art.

Daniel came to our rescue because of faulty work done by a contractor we have working in our home on an insurance claim. Weve upgraded to a smart bidet from a standard toilet but the contractor didnt admit he didnt know how to install it thereby causing improper plumbing to be installed. Daniel spotted the issue immediately then resolved the issue in 10 minutes, I kid you not! The contractor told us he was searching for the adapter needed for half a day and couldnt find anything. The male to female adapter was in the box with all of the smart bidets things and Daniel only had to fabricate an attachment on one side to fit standard threading....He also located and fixed a leak in the brand new vanity sink in there too, where an o ring was installed upside down and the gasket was pinched. That was what was causing water dripping in our brand new cabinetry. He repaired this in less than 10 minutes.So I HIGHLY recommend The Drain Guys for all your plumbing needs. Theyre prompt, professional, courteous and undeniably knowledge in all things plumbing! Daniel was a joy!THANK YOU!

The pipes in my house were ancient, and constantly leaking and causing major headaches. I called The Drain Guys, and had Daniel and Chris come out and replace all of the drain and water lines in the house. It was a huge job, and my house ended up being quite complicated in this area. They even brought in more workers, to get the job done in a timely fashion. They were professional, friendly, and stayed late each day until the job was done. Daniel explained everything thoroughly as they worked, and pointed out preventative measures I should take to prevent future problems, such as replacing a vanity in which the sink was cracked and ready to start leaking at any moment. I am so grateful to have had such excellent service. I highly recommend them!

I was trying to do some DIY plumbing in my bathroom and bit off a bit more than I could handle.... I called The Drain Guys to help me out. Daniel Jennings came out to my property and was a miracle worker. I am super-impressed with The Drain Guys. I had a leak in my home that caused substantial damage. It was a sneaky leak and it was hard (for me) to determine exactly where it was coming from. Once Parker and his assistant arrived at my home and began inspecting, they found the cause of the leak in about 15 minutes and didnt have to cut out a lot of unnecessary drywall. The pipe was replaced and they were able to cut my water on again in less than an hour. They were very professional, kind, patient and informative. They took a lot of pictures and videos; both of the damage and the repairs. They included me in the various stages of their progress. Needless to say, I was a very happy camper and will be spreading the word about their work to all of my friends and anyone that I know that needs one of their services. He was prompt, professional, highly knowledgeable. I even had a stubborn bath tub clog and other impromptu plumbing repairs needed and Parker completed all the same night. Early the next morning he had installed a brand new hot water heater. The service cost for all was reasonable. Parker is deserving of a high level of praise and rating. I had a main sewer line that needed replacing urgently. Parker and the team at The Drain Guys quickly assessed the situation and dug 12+ feet down to get the sewer main. They did it carefully working around various utility lines including a gas line. They replaced the builders grade sewer line with high quality schedule 40 pvc pipe and got all permits and inspection from the city. Best of all they did everything in a couple of days. Highly recommend this company. They were very knowledgeable and worked quickly (even to as late as midnight).

A competitor had given me an estimate of $3500 to fix a drain. One of your techs came in and fixed it for $250 in less than an hour. Very nice and really appreciated not being taken for a ride. Cant remember the techs name but he was young and had an apprentice with him. They fixed the drain in July but Ive been waiting to make sure the drain didnt start leaking again. Thank you!

I called the Drain Guys because there was a clog in my main drain and a different plumber had already failed to figure out the source of the issue. Parker came on Thanksgiving morning (!) to assess the problem, which required jackhammering into my basement floor and fixing misaligned pipes. He stayed until the job was done -- past midnight (!). Throughout the process, he was courteous and communicative and answered all of my questions.

Where do I start? Had a blocked kitchen drain that turned into a complex issue. The owner called me promptly and set up an appointment on a Sunday afternoon! Parker Douglass came out and was incredibly professional and courteous. He said up front I will solve your problem after an agreed upon price. He was very confident and largely kept to himself. After a long time snaking he went into the basement and identified a segment of drain pipe that had an illegal set of bends that made it especially prone to blockage. After cutting into it, the food blockage was sitting there. I cant thank Parker enough for his perseverance and skill at tracking down our problem. Skill and detective work solved the problem! This small company runs circles around a much larger commercial firm that I thought would come through on a Sunday, yet this firm came up with lots of excuses and kept rescheduling us. When you cant get water to go down an important drain, please call The Drain Guys...they WILL take care of you!!!!

We had a leak coming through our entryway wall and had no idea how it started or where the leak was actually coming from. The Drain Guys were able to come the same day we called to diagnose the issue, which was difficult in our tiny row house. It ended up being a long-term small drip leak inside the wall between floors caused by poor installation. Parker showed us exactly where the leak was, walked us through what caused it, and gave a really detailed explanation of what was needed to fix it. They were quickly able to give us a quote to fix the issue, which was very reasonable. When fixing the leak, he was communicative the whole time and there were no surprises in terms of what they were going to do and where exactly in the walls they had to cut. After their work I am confident that we wont have the same issue and they left the area in better shape than it was before. We could tell that Parker is an expert and really cares about the quality of his work.

So far, The Drain Guys did two major jobs for me, and they didnt disappoint both times. One time, Dustin was out with his comrade Jake, and they replaced an old (1950s) shower valve and faucet trim kit with a new one, as well as replacing leaky pipes, and also re-hooked up the dishwasher properly for me. The second time, Rich Foster was out on the scene and helped diagnose what was wrong with and clean out an outside drainage system. Both times, The Drain Guys did good work. Jay, acting as coordinator, was always responsive and professional.

I would highly recommend The Drain Guys. The process was simple and Rich went way above and beyond. I called in the afternoon and they were able to set up an appointment to repair my tankless hot water heater the next morning. Rich communicated the day before, on his way and confirmed when he left his previous job with an ETA. He was punctual and communicative. Before he did the work, Rich explained what he would do and the costs associated with it. After he repaired it, he showed me the work he did and explained the maintenance process for tankless hot water heaters. He went above and beyond and answered all the questions I had. I also spoke with him about a notice I got from DC Water about Lead pipe replacement and he thoroughly explained the process that they go through for the replacements. Should I need this service, I would definitely consider using The Drain Guys. I appreciate the professionalism and the willingness to go above and beyond my expectations. The price seemed reasonable and best of all, I have hot water and know how to maintain my tankless heater now.

I had the worse nightmare ahh homeowner can have. I heard my Main Water Line was leaking. WSSC as you can imagine was terrible and just turned my water off and told me good luck. I got several quotes and the Jay from the Drain Guys beat them all. They came the next day and replaced my MWL in one day and had me up and running by nighttime. WSSC had to come out and replace the curvestop because it was busted and they even had a leak on there own side. Rich and Nick stayed and helped me go back and forth with WSSC even though they didn’t have too. I really appreciate them and can see why people go with the drain guys. They are very professional and Rich is extremely knowledgeable and explains his craft very well so others can understand what is going on and why they are doing what they are doing. This team took on a huge job of replacing our 70 year old cast iron pipes, digging a trench and replacing and rerouting our internal pipes. The team was friendly, worked over 13 hour days, worked with WSSC to get the necessary approvals, was timely and great to work with. All of the plumbers on the team were licensed which was a plus and extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely be using them again in the future should any needs arise. They even changed and upgraded our broken garbage disposal!

Another company saw the complexity of the job, which involved removing a stump and avoiding a water line, and walked away from the job despite the urgency of it. Daniel Jennings and Parker from the Drain Guys stepped up and did an excellent job of getting it done. They also rearranged their schedule because it was a bit of an emergency and got it done within five days, including camera inspection, stump removal, excavation And replacement, city utility inspection clearance, and refilling the hole. Very grateful to Daniel and team.

I called the drain guys after getting 2 other quotes from plumbers who didnt seem to know what they were talking about. The drain guys immediately found the issue with my water heater and they were able to replace my water heaters heating elements for a very fair price instead of replacing the entire unit, which we were very happy about!! They gave us a quote for the replacement too since ours is 8 years old and we were very pleased with both quotes, but decided on the repair for the time being. They were extremely professional and were able to arrive before our appointment time. Very friendly and I enjoy not being taken for a ride. The Drain Guys are the best! Ive been having a fly issue with the sink in my kitchen and submitted a request for quotes through yelp with various plumbing specialists. The Drain Guys responded promptly and sent Mario over to give me an estimate. Mario said there was no reason to have a camera take a look as I live of the second floor of a building and theres no way a crack in a pipe or a trap in the ground would cause the issues I asked about. He didnt charge me anything and said anyone from the team would be happy to come take a look for any future issues. Highly recommend for anyone who isnt naturally handy or doesnt know the cause of any drain issues.

My house had some drainage issues: main sewer line is an old iron pipe which had the opening shrink down to about a golf ball size, had a few leaks by the well water bladder, and hated my entire house filtration system.The Drain Guys came out and worked tirelessly to fix all of the issues. I was informed about all of the steps being taken along the way and felt very comfortable having these guys in my home.You could tell they cared about their work because there were a couple of things that Parker kindly tweaked and replaced, free of charge.The Drain Guys are my go-to for plumbing. Living in a house built in the 70s with original everything, I know I can trust them that I wont get taken for a ride.Update 5/6/24:Shower leaks and Daniel came out and was doing everything he could to make sure we can fix the issue. He was awesome and thoroughly presented each option we have for a shower replacement. It is a huge project for us to undertake and I wont trust anyone but the Drain Guys.Daniel ended up replacing a couple of faucet outlets for the washing machine hookup, which he noticed leaking within minutes upon entering my house (I live here and I didnt even know). He is very knowledgeable and a great guy to have on your side when it comes to plumbing.

He offered 3 dates and times, one as early as the next day.Upon inspecting my drain, Rich informed me that Id done a good job cleaning it myself and that my fears of calcification were unfounded. He didnt try to sell me any services which werent required. In addition, Rich gave me useful tips to maintain the health of my homes plumbing.Its hard to find honest and knowledgeable service and repair companies, but The Drain Guys fit the bill! I called the Drain Guys and Jay answered the phone right away. They came the same day and they sent Parker Douglas for a clogged drain in my basement. He realized that my sewer line had a break in it. He also took the time to review the camera view with me to explain and actually show me the problems. He thoroughly discussed with me all of the options to repair the problems. We decided that he would need to dig up the pipe and do a full replacement. Parker and Jay were very easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. The job went very smooth and they did an excellent job. I highly recommend the Drain Guys for all your plumbing needs. Let me first say that I would definitely recommend the drain guys. They quickly fixed fixed a serious sewage issue that I had and got me running again.I have a multi-unit building in Washington DC. We faced a sewage backup that presented itself on the second floor. It leaked into the floors below and created a significant amount of damage. I had to move several folks to hotels, so I was very motivated to get the issue fixed.I had several plumbers come to attempt to fix the problem, most of who were stumped once a snake did not work. I even started work with another plumber that used a camera to identify a problem in a wall. That plumber replaced a pipe in the wall. However, that replacement did not fix the problem and, when the work was done, did not have a camera to look further in the pipe. After this plumber stated that they would not be able to restart work until two days later, I texted Jay (the head of the company) around 830pm to see if they could start. He came out that night (around 9pm) and agreed to start work the next day. Rich and Nick were assigned to the project and quickly realized that they had to redo the previous plumbers work. They also thoughtfully troubleshot potential areas of concern, and finally zeroed in on a problem in the basement, which turned out to be about a foot ahead of where the previous plumber left off.The work required an excavation of the basement and some changes to the upstairs plumbing stack. Rich, Nick and a couple other guys worked for nearly two days straight, staying unit about 1030pm one night and 830pm another night until the work was complete. We got up and running in record time, given the issue that we faced.A few things were key in the drain guys success that I noticed.-First, they were the only company that I worked with that regularly had a camera with them. Most companys had access to cameras, but would have to schedule them and the camera was used for initial cost estimate and perhaps to confirm successful completion. For instance, the other company mentioned above, could have saved me time and money if they would have put a camera in the open pipe and realized the blockage wasnt clear. In contrast, the drain guys used a camera to troubleshoot every step of the way and confirm resolution and looked in other areas for any concerns.-Second, the drain guys showed significant commitment to getting the project done. Both in Jays initial willingness to meet me at night and the teams willingness to keep working into the night to fix the problem. Other companies would limit themselves to a defined project, regardless of whether the problem was actually solved. The drain guys kept pushing to resolve the issue.-Lastly, I could tell that the company had good camaraderie. Both nights other plumbers came to help Rich and Nick after they had completed their jobs. These folks were key in finishing as they allowed Rich and Nick to take breaks. I could tell that they showed up not just for extra hours, but because they enjoyed each others company, were interested in the job and wanted the company to be successful. That type of thing is really important in making a great company and ultimately satisfying the customer.
