    We have been using Gainesville Mechanical for our AC/heating servicing for many years. We recently needed to replace our basement AC unit. They were very quickly to come out when we reported a problem. They gave us reasonable quotes on new unit options and suggested what would be best for our home and needs. David and Yoisi were very professional and nice when they came to replace the unit. They worked quickly and cleaned up after like they were never even there. I greatly appreciated their help!     Gainesville Mechanical installed a new Bryant heat pump this month. The salesman, Todd, was thorough in checking out the old system and electrical connections before making replacement recommendations. The install team was on time and left the work area very clean. Todd then came back to check out the install and answer any questions. I am happy with the customer service and follow-up.

    I have lived in my home 27 yrs. I enjoyed the same heat and air system for 26 yrs. many contractors have come and gone.Then I called Gainesville Mechanical.Todd came out and listen to me and my issues and concerns, Then asked, What can we do for you?I asked for a quote to replace my old system. He contacted me the next day, and gave me choices to choose from.I knew then there is something different about this concept.I get choices?I made a choice, and it was installed in one day. The tech trained me on the use of a intelligent thermostat.I save enough every month on my electric bill to pay 80 percent of the monthly payment for the new system.Sales, installation, were excellent.Then the office called a week later, to follow up.Listen I have been in the service industry most my working life; In the fire alarm industry; I have been a technician, a sales person and a national mid level manager,I know good service speaks volumes Word of mouth is the best, way to grow a company, Do what you say when you say your gonna do it, and customers will flock to you.And it filters from the top down.I do not know the owner of Gainesville Mechanical, I know it is a locally owned company.Every contact I have had with this company has been positive,I have talked to probably 7 different people, And I have only called them once.Installed 12 months ago.Thank you Gainesville Mechanical for exceeding my expectations.restoring my belief there is a good and honest mechanical company, out there somewhere.     Gainesville mechanical is a great company. I called them for my ac unit leaking on Monday because we are looking to replace the whole thing. Due to its age and condition. Older model goodman cant find the drain pan for it anymore. Jason Ketring came out the next day. Very nice gentleman and very informative. Did a great job explaining all our options. And left me a qoute. We made a decision quickly and got everything sent back in and they got us scheduled for the following Monday for our install.     Had them do three separate jobs for me last month. Move a gas line and readjust ducting for a replacement under-counter range vent as well as add a water spigot to our back patio. Easy to get someone on the phone to schedule. All workers showed up on time as scheduled and were friendly and worked hard to come up with solutions especially with the range vent as it was a bit complicated. I will continue to use Gainesville Mechanical for hvac and plumbing needs. Thanks !

    I had an install of a new Bryant system today and couldnt be happier. David and Yoisi were excellent in their service to my family. They arrived on the appointed scheduled time and communicated with my in a professional and concise manner. They were friendly, respectful and ready to get the job done.     Had a new HVAC unit installed. Third one (of three) done by Gainesville Mechanical. As usual, work was done on time, at a reasonable price, with knowledgeable people, and excellent customer service. Then they did a follow-up inspection. This is how it is SUPPOSED to work!!

    I have learned a valuable lesson with HVAC companies. who do you go with? The small guy that keeps canceling appointments or a company-Gainesville Mechanical that has a staff that answers the phone and has a technician at your home quickly? I called like at 9:30 in the morning had a technician at the house within 2 hrs. MY STORY - - - 10 years ago I used an individual owned local HVAC company. Every summer when it got in the 90’s we never could keep the house cool it would get hot and take all night to cool it back down to 72 degrees. This summer is already setting records highs and I couldn’t take a hot house anymore. Now we are to the point who do we call for a quote on a new unit (not the person from last time). A friend referred me to a company he had used several times I made an appointment they cancelled twice on me. My wife said call Gainesville Mechanical and I did they had a technician (Todd) at my house two hours later. Todd inspected my old unit and showed me why it was not working properly (it was horribly installed). Not anymore! Gainesville Mechanical was here one and half days installing our New Bryant 18 seer unit.The install guys were very knowledgeable & has been with the company over 10 years they did a great job. They left around noon today and my house was 66 degrees inside with it being 90 degrees outside. Happy is a understatement It’s nice to be Cool!

    I can sum up my experience in one word……Fantastic! Our vacation rental contractor grade system failed last weekend. I needed to scramble to find a contractor to come out quote me on a replacement and as important get it replaced before our next guests checked in. I had four vendors come out. 3 of the 4 spent 5 – 10 minutes with me and then left saying they were going to do a straight swap of the system. Jeremy spent over an hour an explained to me that certain parts of the existing duct-work and plenum were poorly designed and would also need to be replaced in addition to the system itself. He then spent 10 minutes on the phone with my friend who is a home Inspector and re explained what he was proposing. After he handed me back my pone my friend said, “Hire these guys they know what they are doing”. Jeremy fast tracked the installation, so we could have it up and running by Friday for our next rental guests. The installation team David and Francisco were equally fantastic. David spent a significant amount of time walking me thru what was done and what the system is capable of. I asked many questions and he was always polite and very accommodating with answering my questions and explaining what he was doing. I have a new appreciation for duct-work, plenums, humidity %, SEER rating etc. I look forward to boring my wife to tears this weekend explaining what we now have. I have not felt this good about spending $ in a long time. I am now a new fan of Gainesville Mechanical, Francisco, David and Jeremy!

    Update summer 2024; Needed to get a new system and since I was happy with Gainesville Mechanical I chose them.     Gainsville Mechanical is truly the best. I had to have my 5 ton package air conditioner replaced this summer and I am so glad I chose Gainesville Mechanical to do the job.     I just had an entire HVAC system installed. A pretty big investment that you generally dont like to make. Now you can make that decision when you dont have a choice or when you do... luckily for me I have been dealing with Gainesville Mechanical for years and that either way it would have been the same for me. They always send the most professional, thorough, polite and customer service oriented technicians out to do whatever job is needed to be done. Today it was David & Yogi! days of making sure everything was working perfectly, that I understood how everything worked and what I needed to do to keep it working in between scheduled maintenance visits.     I simply cant say enough great things about Gainesville Mechanical. Jason Mize and his apprentice Francisco were on time, polite, clean,and professional. They explained everything that they would be doing before hand. Very respectful of my home and time.     I am from the Hospitality industry and the rule of thumb is to get three bids on any job, not just for the price but also how well the job is relayed back to you. Todd did an excellent job explaining the four different options that were given to me, from output of the units to cost. The installers David and Yosi were top notch from arriving on time to explaining what they were going to do, and, in the order, it would be done. They finished on time and took the time to test the unit for heat and air plus took the time to walk me through the new thermostat, they even checked my water heater before they left since they had to turn my gas off. What is funny is the other companys salespeople (Todd was a technician) I contacted all of a sudden had specials to offer me after I didnt sign right away. From my background offer me the best price and explain what you are going to do the first time, not later just to close the deal. I am also taking care of my father-in-law in hospice, and he was not disturbed at all while all the work was going on. I do not write reviews often but the service I received proves that there are still some good companies and people out there. I hope the owners know the quality of people they have in Todd, David and Yosi. The work I had done was total replacement of my heating and air, heat system in the attic.

    We have been using Gainesville Mechanical for over 15 years for regular servicing and for the installation of a complete heat pump system in our basement about 12 years ago. Most recently they replaced the A/C compressor/ condenser unit for for our upper floor system (unit was old and worked hard). As has always been the case these guys did an outstanding job and we are enjoying cool air in our bedroom again. Their service was timely being delayed only by a supply chain issue on the unit (everyone has this issue due to parts shortages). They gave us an ETA upfront of two weeks for the install and the job was done in that time period.I want to especially recognize and compliment Sergio, who identified the issue and gave us our options, as well as Jason and Francisco for their work on the install. Everything was done timely and professionally and most importantly they showed up when they said they would.I cannot speak more highly of this company and their entire staff.Update April 2022:Gainesville Mechanical did a great job replacing my main level heating and air system this week. They showed up when they said they’d be here and David & Miles were in and out in a little more than half a day. I couldn’t be more pleased.I’ve used Gainesville Mechanical for over 15 years and have come to expect nothing less from them. They now have installed or replaced all three of my systems for us; one of which was a complete new first time install. They have maintained all our systems as well. The system they just replaced was over 25 years old and would not have lasted that long if not for these guys. I highly recommend them.

    AC unit wouldnt start back after storms passed through the area last night. On call tech (Joseph Taylor) called me back within minutes of me leaving msg with after hours operator, he explained his current situation saying he would call me again as soon as I was next, called an hour or so later telling me he was in route to my house. He got me back going in no time.The rates are fair, the techs are clean, competent, and honest, the vehicle was well stocked, and well kept.Im very impressed with this company, Ive used them a few times in the past and will continue to do so.Thank you Gainesville mechanical, and thank you Mr. Taylor

They left no trace that they were there - they carried away all of the old system and the packaging for the new system.     This is my second review and major project with Gainesville Mechanical. They had to retrofit my upstairs to accommodate a traditional HVAC unit in my 1930’s house which was no small feat.     2021, in January - The tech who performed the winter service, Jason, was very polite and thorough. I have yet to have a negative experience with any of the techs. One more example of how Gainesville Mechanical has kept me a satisfied customer. We are starting a total kitchen remodel in a couple of months and I have already advised the contractor that Gainesville Mechanical will be doing the HVAC, plumbing and gas work.2017, in the Spring - This is a first class business and I have had nothing but good experiences with them. Their latest project was a week long replacement of both upstairs and downstairs heating and AC systems. From the planning phase through completion all was done with care and professionalism.Special thanks to the installers, Francisco and David for their politeness, quality work and customer focus. The Sales Manager, Jeremy, was also outstanding and especially helpful during the planning phase.Every other employee we had any contact with displayed the same friendly and professional qualities. We remain loyal Gainesville Mechanical customers and will begin our next project, a backup generator system, shortly.

    Gainesville Mechanical is consistently great! Ive used them for the last few years, and they have correctly diagnosed and repaired my HVAC system several times. I have a 3 zone heat pump, and Ive had some thermostat problems and a bad contactor... Theyve diagnosed it correctly, and the technician either had the part on the truck or went to the warehouse and came back the same day! Theyre really busy, but theyve always fit me into the schedule in a few days. They will get my business next time I have a problem or want to upgrade my system!

    Gainesville Mechanical has been great to us, especially the first time when our a/c went out on a weekend when it was very hot. I was shocked when they came out on a weekend with no additional upcharge. Mike our technician was great and got us all fixed up and running. It was an older unit nearing its time. Mike came out again this year for same issue. When the 3rd time came around we knew it was time for a new Heat Pump. Yes we did get 3 quotes and Gainesville Mechanical came with the best deal. Jeremy explained everything on all the different options and payment options so I wasn’t left in the dark. Install day came and David and Trent were our installers and did an awesome job of removing our old and installing the new. It was a very hot and sticky day and I felt bad they were stuck in the attic installing the new one. But they did a great job and you would never know that anything was changed out. They left it spotless and explained everything about the new system and how to operate the wireless thermostat so I felt comfortable with it. I will always use Gainesville Mechanical.

    We had a leak in our 16 year old system so we decided to replace it and went with a Bryant 18 seer over the summer. GMInc filled up our freon on our old system on the house until they could replace it, got the work completed in about two weeks, after it was over you never would of known they were here, they protected the floor and did a really great job keeping everything tidy. Very quiet and professional. New system is very nice and we are enjoying it. We will continue to do business with them and are grateful for their pricing and courteous technicians.

    My rental house air conditioning quit working 2 days before my ad to rent came out, I called Gainesville Mechanical and the same day they had Scott come out to fix it, unfortunately the compressor was bad and coil was leaking! Scott gave me options to fix or replace and on the spot I was able to make a decision and order a replacement then. In 2 days they were able to work me in their schedule and replaced it! The installers David and Francisco did an excellent job in installing it and making sure all was working and in checking out the installation completely and informing me about the new thermostat before leaving. I have in the past had an air conditioning unit installed in my personal residence and have been well pleased with their service and warranties and knowledgeable employees and dependable service. Scott, David and Francisco did an excellent job and also William who was involved in the job. We love our new fancy thermostat, it shows us how much heat or air we use each day and much more.     Our heat pump went out during our last ice/snow storm and Gainesville Mechanical sent Todd out on the day I requested when roads were safe again. Todd did a great job on the diagnostics and based on the age of my system I choose to replace the heat pump rather than repair. Quote was reasonable and Gainesville Mechanical had the unit I needed in stock (which is a big plus in this day of Supply Chain crisis). Jason Mize and Francisco came out to replace my thermostat with an Ecobee3 Smart thermostat and replace my heat pump with a new Bryant heat pump. I had to be out of town that day and they were extremely professional and took great care in completing the installation and showing my wife the features and functions. They did a great job and also great support from my discussion with Manager William prior to the work being done. Would highly recommend Gainesville Mechanical to anyone needing HVAC or Plumbing work. They are very professional and employees all have excellent customer service skills and go the extra mile.     Had a new air handler and compressor installed. Everyone involved, Jeremy who wrote the quote, the very nice woman who answers the phone, Rhonda who helped me understand the financing and paperwork process, to William and his helper (Im sorry I forgot your name) who installed the units, and Scott who called to follow up---best service ever. Professional, knowledgeable, excellent. The installers were early, went right to work, let me know how it was going, etc. A vent grill was to be installed, but the installers didnt have the correct size. Told me they would be back in 2 hours, and they were. William came in, put in the vent and left. A few hours later I went down the driveway I noticed several large limbs on the side of the drive. Apparently the limbs were blocking the drive and the guys moved them for me and didnt even mention it when installing vent grill. Very happy with the Bryant unit and everyone I came in contact with at Gainesville Mechanical. Would highly recommend this company.

    Our family has been a customer of Gainesville Mechanical for more than 12 years. We have experienced only excellent, friendly, professional service every time weve had a need. Last year, our HVAC system stopped working and we found out we needed a complete new system. This was a shock as it came at a time when we had many large unplanned bills. A service technician was sent out to assess our situation and review options with us. We also got other estimates in the community and considered just doing the minimum to get by.     My thanks to Lane and John who rescued my family today. We returned home from visiting relatives out of state to find the water heater not working. I called a couple of places and was given appointments for the following day to be given an estimate for replacement. With a house full of people waiting to take showers I contacted Gainesville Mechanical and shared my problem with Lane. He asked several questions about the water heater and agreed that we should probably replace it. He said he could install it as early as this afternoon and quoted me a price. I asked for a few minutes to consider my options and he offered to call me back in 10 minutes (no high pressure tactics which made a huge impression on me). We set up the appointment and they showed up as expected.They had difficulty getting the old heater out of the closet space where it was installed but never gave up, and were much more respectful and polite than the last guys that came to work on the heater. It ended up taking longer than expected but there was no additional charge for labor, the price I paid was the price he quoted before he came to the house.There are other repairs that will be needed in the next year or so to our house and I am pretty sure Gainesville Mechanical is going to get the work if all their associates are like Lane and John.     I cannot brag on and recommend these guys enough! I had a plumbing situation that (very) quickly escalated into a full plumbing emergency after a long day at work. I had previously scheduled an appt for the following day, but my home could not wait any longer. I called G.M., explained my situation, and they quickly sent professionals out at 9:00pm on a weekday. They tried looking for an exit pipe first (the quickest and cheapest solution), but of course my house wasnt built with one. Then they tried the sewer machine, but the water pressure was so strong due to buildup that they couldnt use that method either. Lastly, Lane, Conner, Daniel, and John worked together to dig down to my septic door where they found a blockage and immediately cleared it. I was extremely pleased with the price. They were fair, not charging me for the sewer machine since they werent able to use it. They were AWESOME! No after hours rates, everything is a flat rate. They worked diligently to fix my plumbing issue as quickly as possible and Im SO thankful they accommodated me at the last second. They have earned a new customer going forward.

    Our rather old A/C wasnt working properly so we called Gainesville Mechanical who sent someone out the same day. After discussing our options we decided it was time to purchase a new heat pump. They also sealed a few leaks they found in our old duct work and fixed the air flow to our living room by removing an old blower (non-working) from one of the air ducts.     The job performed for my employer, which I oversaw, consisted of replacing two very old toilets with higher profile units, along with the installation of bidet washlet kits on both.     Luis was an answer to our prayers! My elderly parents air conditioner went out over the weekend. The temperatures were in the high 80s in the main part of the house. Luis came out to their house from over an hour away, at 8:30pm after working for 12 hours and stayed until the multiple issues were resolved. He didnt leave until after 10:30. We could tell what a great guy he is and he understood we felt it was an emergency for my parents because of the high temperatures and their age. Not only was he able to fix the initial problem but he also identified and fixed another potential issue on the 2nd unit that we didnt even know existed. Had he not discovered that, we would have experienced the unit for my parents room freezing up in the very near future. He was amazing and definitely our hero!     On September 30th, two Gainesville Mechanical technicians Dalton and Andrew came to my house to locate and repair a natural gas leak. They arrived at the scheduled time and began diagnosing the gas leak issue. Within minutes was able to remove pieces of the back deck and found the gas leak.     Recently, I had to have my 2nd floor unit completely replaced - a big purchase like this can be very stressful plus the actual installation process. But I had a good experience from the repair technician, Jose, who came out to diagnose the issue and Sergio the technician/salesperson.     If you like old school customer service, this is the company for you. We had our second floor HVAC unit replaced a month ago. Jeremy the project manager was really helpful and polite. He addressed all of our needs and didn’t try to sell us anything we didn’t need. David and Frensisco did the installation. They were very nice and did a good job explaining everything.     I am VERY pleased with Gainesville Mechanical. Let me start off by saying our furnace went out in the middle of summer and we had only been living in our home a little over a year. Gainesville Mechanical was the ONLY one who would come to our home on a Sunday and look at our Air system. We have a three year old and the heat was terrible. We were desperate! They were super nice but unfortunately had to tell us the bad news that we needed a whole new unit as our coils were gone in the old one. We had been paying $300-$400 power bills not knowing something was wrong with the unit. We had added 10 bags of insulation to our attic and we were still burning up in summer and freezing in the winter. Thanks to Gainesville Mechanical we have been warm this winter and our power bills range from $60-130. They have already came back out and rechecked everything to make sure its all working properly.     2022-06-16My AC started leaking into the drip pan. I called Gainesville Mechanical to request a maintenance visit. Luckily, she said they just had a cancellation and could have a technician come out with a couple of hours. As promised Michael, the AC technician, arrived shortly. He made a complete check of the system and was unable to find any leaks. He did find the puron to be about 2 lbs. light and the evaporator coils were very dirty. He said these two things could cause the coils to freeze up and that melting could account for the leaking water. After addressing those two problems and performing other preventative maintenance routings, he said the problem should be resolved. Michael was friendly, a good listener, and very responsive. His work was very professional, efficient, and thorough. I originally chose Gainesville Mechanical because of the great reviews and am adding my good review to that stack. I highly recommend them for your HVAC needs.Previous review, 7 months ago:Recently purchased a house with two-zone heat pump systems located in the attic space. Wanted to minimize possibility of damage resulting from water leakage. After a couple of hours researching the internet for information and customer reviews on HVAC companies servicing my area, I decided to call Gainesville Mechanical, Inc. Large number of reviews with the majority being positive.Todd Lowrey, came out yesterday. This was a great response time since I only called for an appointment 5 days earlier. I explained what I needed and he immediately started inspecting the two systems. One of the systems checked out perfectly. Todd discovered the other system had an undersized filter which had dropped out of the slot and into the space below. Therefore, there was no filtering of the air for some time. Todd pulled it out, vacuumed out the space and thoroughly cleaned the evaporator coils. He then installed a new, correctly sized filter. He then inspected, tested and cleaned the outdoor condenser units.I asked him about the testing of the drip pan drain pipes and he told me he had blown air into them and found them to be clear. After telling him of my concern regarding condensation collecting in the pans, should the tubes become clogged, he suggested a condensate detection switch. After he explained the different types, I agreed to Wet Switch® Flood Detectors. These are devices which, if any water is detected in the pans, will automatically shut off the systems. This gave me a great sense of relief, knowing I need not worry about the pans overflowing and causing very costly damage to the ceilings and rooms below.Todd was great! Very friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and professional. His visit resulted in a large weight lifting from my shoulders regarding any concern with the service, maintenance, and dependability of my HVAC systems. The gentleman that came name was Sergio, he was very knowledgeable in his trade. He discovered a freon leak and advised me that he could fix it, but also discussed with me pricing for a brand new more efficient system, being as though both inside and outside units were around 15-16 year old mark.     Me and my husband recently had our ancient HVAC unit quit. Having dealt with Gainesville Mechanical for a plumbing issue last year I immediately turned to them. Not only was everyone from the office personnel, to Sergio the sales rep and the guys that replaced our unit with a new one (David and Trent) the customer service was exceptional.     Just moved to the area and didn’t know the house or the area. Realized the heat pump/AC was not functioning up to par and had been installed in 1997. Called Gainesville Mechanical and they were at my house that afternoon. After it was determined that the whole system needed to be replaced, they had a quote the following morning. Within 4 days their crew was at my home, installed a new system, removed the old and had my home “cool as a cucumber” within 6 hours. They were very professional and friendly and I didn’t know they were even in the house while they were installing.     Gainesville Mechanical has an obvious focus on service. They were great with communication, from Jeremys quote, David and Fransisco the installers, and Rhonda in the office; if I had a question they always took the time to give me a complete answer. They respected my time, they showed up and got straight to work and did quality work. Everything has worked fine and as a tech loving guy, the connex system is great where I can monitor my energy usage by the kilowatt hour, and I can program easily from my phone for anything from a vacation to changing it so itll be warmer when I get home. I feel confident in the install and system and certainly when youre paying what it takes to replace and R22 with a 410a system that should be the case.

    Heat pump went out on a Wednesday, after calling Gainesville Mechanical, Mike Herrington brought over a portable a/c so we could sleep at night. Amazing customer service! Mike made some additional suggestions to improve air flow and by Monday afternoon we had a cool upstairs again and much better than it had been. A new Bryant heat pump system installed by Bobby, Matt, and Michael, then Scott came by and walked us through the thermostat instruction.     Having discovered a hot water heater leak late at night a few days ago, my husband called GM first thing the next morning. He promptly received a call back. Within the hour, Ronnie arrived and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was professional and explained all our options in detail. He gave us a reasonable estimate and an hour later, he was back with his helper Daniel to replace our water heater. They quickly finished the project and we had hot water 30 minutes after they finished. They were efficient, courteous, and no mess to clean up. The only thing left behind was his jacket. :).     David and Trent did a fantastic job installing our new Bryant unit. They were prompt and finished up even quicker than we thought they would! They went over the new thermostat with me and made sure I understood how to use it before they left. 2 days later, we noticed the toilet in our master bathroom was leaking. We called Gainesville Mechanical and had them come out for the 2nd time that week. John was in and out in under an hour and our toilet has been working perfectly ever since!     After a competitor tried to take advantage of me, I was in a jam. I had called an independent contractor that never showed or called. I left a message at another company who also never returned my call. When I left a message at Gainesville Mechanical, I was SHOCKED that my call was returned within 5 minutes. They promised me a service window and actually were able to show up earlier than promised. When you air is out in the middle of June, timing is important!Casey analyzed my issues and was friendly on the phone, explained in detail what was going on. He even soothed my fathers worries with his plan of action. He even offered to send photos of his gauge reading so I could feel confident. Time will tell if this is a long-time fix.     Last week we had a storm and lighting hit and lost the AC as well as several other electronic devices in the house. I called around to try and find a company that could come out to check it out. Gainesville Mechanical said they would be out the following afternoon by 2:00pm. At about 1:30 their service tech Tim Christensen called to let me know he was on his way and might be a tad early if that was ok. Tim was very professional and courteous. He had all the necessary supplies and tools he needed to get the job done in short order. If I need AC or heating service in the future Ill definitely call them again.
