Our technician Frank, got right to work upon arrival. This was a service call just to keep our a.c.running smoothly and efficiently with no known problems. He kept us informed to what he was doing as he progressed. Cleaned all the necessary parts and flushed the drain, which really needed it. Added some freon as needed and cleaned the coils. This all took a little over an hour but we felt quite good about the service and left the a.c running at its most efficient level.We were quite pleased all around.

Juan is Awesome!!He is very knowledgeable and he presented everything to me in a very professional manner. My issue was in the attic involving my ductwork. Juan, knowing that I could not get in the attic, took pictures of all of the issues, shared the pictures with Me along with a detailed explanation. Before he left, I was given an estimate for new ductwork. Estimate is a little on the pricey side, but We all know you get what you pay for. I am on the schedule for the install of complete new ductwork only three days after I signed the contract. With this being a two day job and me being without air conditioning in this hot Florida weather for two days I am being provided a portable air condition unit to at least keep my bedroom cool!!!I highly recommend Modern Mechanical Services LLC…… residential or commercial as I have used them for both. You will get what you pay for…. knowledge, professionalism, quick response time, and most of all Quality Workmanship!

Just had a guy named Adam out to swap out a condenser unit. Modern Services did not install this. I talked with him about my system and what he was doing and going to do. I was a Quality assurance lead for one of the biggest HVAC companies in the country, I am really up on best practices and the forefront of HVAC technology I am told I really know my stuff and my previous job proved that. My communications with Modern services where 1st class, they called back when they said they would, tech (Adam ) arrived when they said he would. I was impressed with his knowledge and work ethic. Ok I originally was not going to leave a nice review but after my whole situation had passed I put all emotions aside and Modern Services was very professional every step of the way. To say I was frustrated was an understatement. One thing after another and then another happened. All was beyond anyone’s control but I really felt helpless at times. Shenitria and Howard in the office were great and let me vent at times. I can’t remember the 4 technicians who came to my residence to fix the AC, but all knew their jobs and were very professional. All in all not the best situation but it was not modern services fault. Thank you for letting me vent at times and fixing my AC several times over and over.

The entire process from diagnosis to replacement went very smoothly. Juan Sanchez came to do my semi annual AC check. After thoroughly checking my system, he found my very old AC was on its last leg. He thoroughly explained my options with potential cost involved. He was very knowledgeable about AC systems and through his pros and cons of possible choices, I was able to decide on a system that was right for me. He explained when the installers would arrive, what they would do, and approximately how long they would be here. He patiently listened to all my questions and gave complete answers. My husband called Modern Services since they were local, had great reviews and best of all 24 hour emergency services. A gentlemen by the name of James Williams arrived promptly (all other 24 hour companies gave us 6+ hour wait times) and he did not disappoint. We had a few electrical issues arise in one day along with our well totally buckling out on us. Our home is a good 16 years old and needs lots of maintenance work due to it not being kept up to code from the previous owners and below par electricians. Before James came out we had 1) no water and 2) no electric in our kitchen, the exterior and living room along with many fuse switches flipping. James knew exactly what the problem was almost immediately!....and we thought our water pump went out! He also fixed everything in such a timely manner and saved us a load of money!!! Who does that?! I had called a few other electricians and gave them the same information. They were all either closed due to labor day weekend, didnt do 24 hour service or wanted $200+ just to stop by and assess. James saved us well over a grand with his own personal knowledge! James was punctual and extremely knowledgeable. A hard worker and true professional!! He did an outstanding job and charged us (better than) a fair price. Its nice to know there are still guys out there who take pride in what they do and arent just there for a trash and dash to make a quick buck. I will definitely be calling Modern Services for any future electrical/plumbing/hvac needs, and you should, as well!!

I initially chose to use Modern Services a few years ago when my a/c went out. Modern Services was able to get to my house quickly, diagnosed and repaired the issue, and directed me to efforts I could take to prevent having future problems with the unit.I also signed up for the maintenance plan wherein a HVAC technician comes out twice a year to make sure there are no issues that need to be addressed. Recently, an technician named Shaheed Timmons came to do the maintenance check. He was prompt, acted without delay, and was very comprehensive with his review. He took a lot of pictures and was able to clearly explain what they showed. I cant imagine there are other companies that can provide better service. There might not be many that could match the job Modern Services has provided for years.

Doug and Luis installed our two HVAC systems. They were on time and very efficient. They stayed until the work was completed, making sure I understood how to operate the new thermostats, change the filters, etc. This was a big job (being that there were two systems to install) and probably they should have had at least another worker to help them, but they worked right through without a break for about 6 hours. They also had to work around painters and a couple of other trades also working in the house at the time. They did so cheerfully and without complaint. They were also informative, knowledgeable and very pleasant to be around. I will request that Doug and Luis be our permanent service team!

I only had to spend one night without my AC working because Modern Services is so responsive to my calls-every single time! The people who answer the phones are expedient and able to dispatch the right person/people for a particular job. I know I’m in good hands after speaking with them and feel instant relief knowing someone is coming to help me. I am so pleased that Shaheed got here as soon as he did and had my unit back up and running so quickly. He explained what he did and thoroughly cleaned the lines. He’ll come back in December to keep this unit running smoothly. What a wonderful technician Shaheed is and I’m so grateful for his hard work today! Truly an outstanding employee. Modern Services saved us...twice! I have a two story and each floor has a separate unit. The unit on the 1st floor died first, it just stopped working and so did the thermostat. I called Modern from word of mouth and Amanda in Customer Service was so so helpful and got me scheduled right away with a Tech. The Tech showed up in the time frame Amanda said and he fixed my issue. Two weeks later the unit on my 2nd floor went so I called Modern again. This time I got Mike on the phone who was just as awesome as Amanda and scheduled me right in. Again, the Tech got to my house in the time frame Mike stated. I got Isael the first time and was hoping to get him the second time but I was pleasantly surprised when Christobal was just as prompt, courteous and proficient. From start to finish everyone was super helpful and the best part is it didnt cost me an arm and a leg. What a great team at Modern! Modern is best!!!

My air conditioning went out Sunday night we called Modern Services and by 8:00 am Monday morning their AC expert was at my front door and my house was cool by 9:00am. Cristobal introduced himself and quickly assessed our AC unit. He had all the replacement parts on hand and even recommended a few preventative measures and updates he could do that would extend the life of our AC system. I honestly was surprised at the low cost since it was a service call and parts!! Cristobal was polite, clean, knowledgable and even pet my dog. I read all the poor reviews. I have used Modern Services for many years for Reverse Cycle Heating and AC installation and maintenance of two units at my residence. Personal has changed over the years, most have been satisfactory, some have been very good, and maybe one or two were in and out to quick to have done a good job. I generally would not replace a unit until it completely failed, but this time I did agree to replacea 10 year old unit that was still working because I was warned it was about to fail and they might not be able to get replacement parts when the hot weather arrives. I looked at the old unit that was removed and it did not look that bad to me. Just some rust on the cabinet and around the coils. I will go back to letting them run until they stop and wont hold gas. Regardless, Chris and Kay who did the installation were competent, efficient, and left the area clean.

During Hurricane Ian our back-flow completely broke off. A few days later, our neighbors had water and we were unsure when we could get our back-flow fixed to have running water. Im a 74 year old Canadian visitor to Fort Myers Beach who was stranded with my wife and 2 others when a trolley did not pass our pickup point for over 1,5 hours. We had to walk about 3 miles in 85 degree heat to reach our car. While walking I tried to hitch-hike to catch a ride. At least 100 cars passed us before were surprised to be offered a ride by Luis Garcia, a Service Manager for ModernServices. Our AC was failing and our power consumption was going sky high. We contacted Modern Services and they had a technician there within the hour. He located a coolant leak near the compressor. I received multiple updates on the repair, which was really nice as I am up in MA for the summer. He repaired the leak and found another issue with our humidistat that could have contributed to the leak. We resolved that issue by removing the humidistat from the circuit and installing a timer to prevent the AC from restarting too quickly. The repair was not cheap but I feel the repair was first class. I am now under a service contract with Modern Services which may have isolated this problem before it happened. My energy consumption is back to normal. They deserve a 5 star rating on this one.
