We turned on the heat for the first time this year. But that’s not the whole story. Our relationship with the professionals at Home Climates began when we bought our home back in 2016. We joined their service plan shortly after the home purchase. As promised, they scheduled and performed our yearly inspections. The technicians were always on time and very professional. If they discovered a problem, they fully explained it and we were able to keep our heating and central air conditioning running and reliable from year to year. Right before summer, it was noted that our compressor in the central air system may be on its way out. To ease the stress, they cleaned the outdoor unit and it worked all summer long. In September of 2022, it was time for our heating system inspection and tune up. Our technician, Justyn performed the usual inspection and discovered a problem with our heat exchanger. He performed numerous tests and showed me the problem using a camera. Knowing the system was nearly 30 years old, we knew it would be safer to look at replacing the whole thing. We had a meeting with Andy and discussed our options. We decided on complete replacement of the entire HVAC system.On the day of install, a crew of 3 showed up and went right to work. They tarped our living room walkway and protected our hard wood floors. They removed the old outdoor AC unit, then the furnace and coils. While one technician was installing the new outdoor unit, the other two were installing the new furnace. When they needed to adjust venting pipes or even the gas line, they knew exactly how to do it. Another thing I appreciated as the homeowner, I was able to ask questions throughout the entire process.It took about six hours to complete. They answered all my questions and fully explained the operation of the new system and all the warranty protection we have with Home Climates and Amana.In closing, without our scheduled inspection, the problem would never have been found. That’s another reason we are grateful to be customers of Home Climates.They say you can always trust family. In this case, we feel we are part of the Home Climates Family. Home Climates has worked with me on a troubled HVAC system. Never pushy, always trying to get the best fix for me. Then it became obvious that the system needed replaced. They came in with a fair price that was in line with other companies working in this area. Not the bottom price, but not the top either. They got me scheduled quickly, even in the midst of 90+ degree weather. The techs that came to do the work were on time, knew what they were doing and were pleasant to have here. They stayed for a long day and got the job done. I have confidence in the job because I have the manufacturer warranty and Home Climates stands behind their work. I saw how good they are to work with as we struggled through the problem system that was here before.

Carson very personable, diligent, ethical and did the best he could to diagnose the problem with our heat pump.The Goodman heat pump has been making very loud noises on Startup ever since it was installed by (HCi)Home Climates Inc..HCi has attempted to diagnose this a few times with on-site visits and my phone calls. But its still a problem. The only response I got from HCI was its not louder than 110 DB so it doesnt qualify for replacement. It is so loud is very startling. Regardless how loud it is or isnt the decibels were not measured, and the fact is it is a bad, not normal mechanical grinding crunching booming noise.While Carson was here I did receive a call back from Mike at Goodman Tech. Support. Carson provided him information and Mike suggested some additional testing to determine why this unit sounds like a big boom when it starts and metallic clashing of symbols on Startup. The call was disconnected and Carson continued the diagnostic determining the compressor was bad. Same noise since install October 20th 2023.Ive tried to work with HCi to get this done and have been very very dissatisfied with their past response & disconcerned attitude since I sent them a letter back in June describing the continued problem with this unit and ask them to reply and they never did.I will be contacting Goodman again and now that Carson has some audio recordings of the noises Maybe this lemon will get fixed. It is apparent that the compressor is whats making the loud booming grinding/symbal and is obviously a problem. This needs to be repaired prior to the end of our year warranty which is October 20 2024. Ive been complaining about this all year long since December 23. The last service call they recognize the problem again tightened up screws and did a bunch of other stuff including fixing all the settings and fan speeds and air leaks that were never done correctly during installation. We never did get a service report but my wife and I kept good notes and we sent them a list of what was done by Joe and Vito of Home climates.My perception is because there was so many problems they just decided to bury the report so their company didnt seem to be so bad. I am very very disappointed and upset that we are not getting better service from the management. It stands to reason that if home climates keep stonewalling me and dont replace this compressor whats going to happen, the existing compressor will fail earlier in its life cycle and I am going to be faced with a big Bill to repair it. Of course if they wait till it fails then home climates will make money , Goodman will make money, and I will pay . This is not fair and I am not happy about this .If home climates would work with Goodman to get it replaced Goodman will lose a little money to replace the compressor, home climates wont lose any money because most likely theyll bill Goodman. But most importantly I would hope that I would get a new compressor that doesnt have these problems and I will once again return to a happy customer.So I hope HCi management listen to the audio files of the noise, review the report from Carson, Step Up do the right thing and get me a new compressor.Ive tried to work with HCi for a long time and we seem to get nowhere. So hopefully someone at (HCi) will realize that todays audio/video recording and Carsons Witness of this compressor making a horrible mechanical noise on Startup will concur that its a bad compressor. HCi should stop making excuses like, its not a 110 DB so we cant replace it, and finally Step Up do the right thing and get this compressor replaced.I believe every company needs to have a chance but its been long enough. Will I have to file a Better Business Bureau report to invoke (HCi) to get this fixed??Best regards. Guy from New Providence PA

We just had our fall check up with Home Climates. We were told about a mold issue in our ducts, this issue was mentioned on other checkups, I kept putting off their suggestion of getting an air scrubber and UV light system. After the tech left, I decided to look up any information I could find on the whole idea of mold/UV/air scrubber in a HVAC system. It appears to be a no brainer to address this problem, Home Climates is coming back today to install the recommended system. Job well done; information was given to me without being pushy.

Marcus M. was the technician who performed the service. This service call was very impressive from start to finish in addition to being extremely thorough. Marcus listened to my concerns and resolved all of them in addition to explaining the why. Highly recommended and the office staff, Tammy, was also wonderful and helpful. Im considering enrolling in their monthly preventative HVAC service...Very pleased with them so far. Have had two issues with my furnace deciding to stop working in Feb 2020 and about 3 weeks ago , both on pretty cold days despite the global warming. Both times they came later the day of my call. Staff were friendly and efficient, fixed the problem in fairly short order. I decided to join their year round service plan for $16.50 per month and it seems like a pretty good bargain since it includes both a spring A/C tune up/check and a fall furnace check. Office staff ladies are very nice and helpful. A pleasure to do business with.

We went through the January without any heat , the unit was replaced but it was never finished, supposedly waiting on a part. Finally I decided I was calling Home Climates. I called the answering service Sun afternoon and the service manager was at my house by 10:00 Mon morning and got everything fixed.I immediately signed up for the service contract. We had Carson who was accompanied by Dylan. Both were very professional and respectful. It was wet and muddy, they put boot covers on. They were very knowledgeable. I programmed the unit wrong so we think it will work when I reboot it but that is on me. The system takes 24 hours unplugged to reset. However, We were able to get the condensor and fan to turn on which is the reason I called them out. I had a loose wire on the board that I was unaware of. We knew it wasnt the contactor or capacitor as I had checked them before their arrival. They explained everything they did. I give them a 10 star out 5. They were that good. And this is just for them. Not to mention Patti. I called on a Friday after we just had 2 hot days in a row. Everyone needed hvac techs. I want to give thanks to Patti. I was setting up my appt, and she asked to call me back so she could check the schedule. Then in that time someone canceled. So she offered it to me. Called me back right away as well. wasnt even 30 minutes. Great people at this company

We have a yearly maintenance on our furnace. Our technician was Mark. He did a great job and was exceptionally personable. Enjoyed our greyhounds and showed us his cats. Made some good recommendations as well for future consideration. Definitely would recommend.
