I write quite a few reviews (Amazon) and almost never give the highest rating. However, NEIA Mechanical is definitely a five-star operation!Nevertheless, I will be candid in my remarks. First, the downside of my first experience with NEIA Mechanical:Its frustrating for a person, such as myself, whos busy and doesnt have a staff to monitor service visits. It can be quite inconvenient to be given a three-hour arrival window. In an ideal world, a narrower window, such as Our technician will arrive between 1-2 pm, would be more manageable. Additionally, a heads-up call would be helpful, for instance, Its 1:15 pm, were in Postville and on our way now.Now for the good stuff: Caleb Knobloch, the service technician, is a rock star! Hes polite, engaging and competent with excellent communication skills. He worked quickly and efficiently, providing helpful suggestions and even took the time to tighten my kitchen faucet, which wasnt even part of the main job.Several people I know had highly recommended NEIA Mechanical, and now Im a fan too.

Before summer even started they came and installed my new AC unit after my last one broke. They gave me a pretty good quote, communicated with me prior to installation, and once they were here to install the AC they made it quick. Said it would take 3/4 of a day to finish and fished in half a day. While they were installing my AC they also found an issue with my heater, and fixed that as well. Overall, very satisfied with everything.

I have a health condition and they even brought a temporary unit for me to use as we were having a deep freeze. I had called every Plumbing company in two countries as I wasnt sure what to do and then I needed several estimates just to get the financial help. I am deeply grateful for their help, kindness and patience working with me through this. While here they worked systematically to remove all my old system which was by no means easy. Then when they finished this stage they came back and worked consistently and professionally to get the job done. I will definitely use these guys again. At noon on a Friday I discovered that my hot water heater had sprung a leak and I had water in 5 rooms of my finished basement. Because I had Black Hills service guard-plan, I called them for help. I was told the soonest they could send someone would be Monday afternoon. I asked what I should do about the water running all over and I asked if they could give me a number for whoever would come Monday afternoon to ask what I should do. She said she didn’t know who they would send and suggested I call another plumber and ask them what I should do. Needless to say, I’ll be cancelling my Black Hills service guard plan as I’m paying money monthly to them for nothing. NEIA Mechanical walked me through finding the shit off valve over the phone, drove to another town to pick up a water heater and installed it by the end of the day—and they are from another town to start with. The 2 technicians they sent were knowledgeable, worked quickly and even put covers on my carpet and on their shoes before coming in. Thanks for the great service.

Bought and had northeast iowa mechanical install a 400,000 btu modine heater. They showed up and installed the day they told me they were going to. Ran into a small problem after the heater was up, modine forgot to send some of the parts needed to make the heater work, northeast iowa mechanical rushed the parts so they would have them the next day and went above and beyond by bringing there heater up until the parts showed up the next day so my shop wouldnt be without heat. I know the heater I bought from them was a little bit cheaper online but decided to go through them anyways, the service was worth the little bit extra to me. Great people to deal with, very polite and respectable people. They do it right and dont cut corners Will continue to use them in the future.

Caleb was the tech who installed my new A/C unit, Gas furnace and new thermostat in 1 day. He started at 7:40, removed the old units, sent them back to shop, cleaned the area before installing the new units. He was friendly, informative, hard worker, and cleaned up inside and out when he was finished. He finished about 4:00. I would recommend NE Iowa Mechanical and Caleb to take care of your needs in heating and A/C.

So far everything is going well. I was upset on a Friday night when I got home from work and I had no lights in the house. Since I was still living in the house, I felt they could have finished the job so I can see in the dark without having to use flashlights or lanterns. I had to wait till Monday. I survived. I still had my outlets, just the light switches were disconnected. Otherwise, Im pleased with the work.

A/C Unit InstallI called for a quote and they got back to me within a day with an estimate and financing options. These guys knew what they were doing. Showed up right away in the morning and had a plan/system in place to get the job done efficiently and effectively. They called about a week later to make sure things were working okay, as well. They were very reasonably priced for our area & compared to other companies.
