    My water heater all of a sudden broke and started flooding the basement, found all this out at around 230pm. I called several plumbing services but no one could come the same day. I called Alexander Plumbing and Neil picked up and came out that afternoon to remedy the problem and got the best quote on a new water heater that was installed right away the next day in the morning (they even came earlier than scheduled). They were professional, courteous, high quality work, very happy with my experience, highly recommended thank you Neil!

    Adam and Paul serviced my house this morning and I cannot praise them enough. The amount of effort they put into clearing my line is amazing. Furthermore, they got a really good workout because the amount of roots was insane! They apologized for a small mess, which they cleaned up but isn’t that a part of the process yet they still apologized. I will never use another plumber until I move away or they close up shop.

    Weve used Alexander plumbing for years. They assess the problem quickly and take care of it. We called to have our sink routed and they found a leak in the faucet. They told us we could get the faucet from Moen for free. Good to know. No leak, sink drains and a new faucet. So happy. Thanks.

    Alexander Plumbing has done all our work for a number of years now. Theyve done excellent work on our sump pump, minor and major clogs and our water sources. Theyexplain the problem, answer questions and tell us how to get waranteed parts replaced for free. We know our plumbing problens will be taken care of with them. They leave the space clean!

    I found these guys on Google and decided to call them due to very positive reviews. The person I initially spoke to was Patrick. He was very knowledgeable and asked me multiple questions to diagnose what could happened to my water heater. It’s nice to have someone experienced on the phone and not just front end employee. He said his team can be at my property in about 4 hours and they were exactly at that time. They had fair pricing, were extremely knowledgeable, and professional. They had all the parts needed on the truck and dealt with warranty afterwards so I didn’t have to wait for parts or call anyone. They replaced the whole valve and igniter in about one hour. They cleaned after the work and left the water heater closet untouched. I really recommend them. You don’t always see this level of details in construction crews. Even small things like shoe protectors make you appreciate them! Thank you guys!

    This is an outstanding plumbing company! Had a leak in some old plumbing and figured it was going to be a replacement, but they came out and tightened a fitting, and all is well!This is not their first time out to my old home.     5 stars isnt enough! I had a clogg in my basement floor drain pipe, I called Alexander plumbing and spoke with Pat. He sent out Paul and Cole, they were really nice, clean, respectful of my home and keept me informed the entire time on what their process is and what my options were. They pulled out some roots but the main issue was a sludge build up, so they contacted the water department and had them jet the city pipes then the next day Paul, Cole and Andy came and jetted my house for a few hours and made sure my pipes were draining properly. Ill be using them for all my plumbing needs.

    This was our first time using Alexander Plumbing in Elgin. I called this morning to ask if someone could come out and unclog our toilet. It was due to a clogged pipe in the basement. Within an hour and a half two service repair men showed up and fixed the problem. We are aware that plumbing service is expensive but were thankful to be able to have our plumbing back in good working order.

    When I called about replacing our water heater, Alexander Plumbing was very responsive and helpful over the phone. I spoke with Pat. The price estimate was very reasonable and even beat some others I had called around to. He was also willing to squeeze the repair in the same day, which makes a difference when facing ice cold showers! I would call them again, especially in an emergency. I would also recommend this company to friends and family.

    Very friendly. They came in looked at the problem, told me how much it would be to repair and that is exactly what it cost me. They didnt say oh we found this while we were doing the repair and now it will cost more. The price was very reasonable when I realized I had to call a plumber I thought great this is going to cost me. I would highly recommend them and next time I need plumbing work I know who to call.

    Weve used Alexander Plumbing since Pat was our landlord back in 2005. When we bought a house in 2009 theyve been with us in remodels, emergencies and upkeep. Our latest need was somewhere between upkeep and emergency with our sewer line starting to drain slowly.Our house is 120yr old and Pats team has been able to both find the main clean out and been able to route the line a number of times. Old-growth tree roots are a constant thing.Alexander Plumbing has been incredibly helpful in keeping ahead of the tough things about homeownership, esp. with an old house.

    We have an old house in Elgin we purchased in March 2020. The secondary sewer line i believe its called backed up shortly after purchase. We got it unclogged ourselves. 6 months later it backs up again. Im like... better call a professional. Why does this keep happening. We these people are the greatest!!! Took time on the phone to ask questions, explain what was going on and why, give me an estimate of the cost. Came out within 30 minutes of calling. Paul and Adam were awesome.     We are in a historic neighborhood and have had plumbing problems for 30 years. Alexander Plumbing is the best we have ever experienced, by far. Do not go anywhere else. Especially in the north end. City of Elgin is no help at all. Period.

    I had a small plumbing issue with my shower/bath and they took care of it extremely quickly and at a very reasonable cost. They were professional, efficient, and respectful of our time. I will use them again if I have any future plumbing needs.
