This year we had a flood control system instaled by Xpert Flood Control. We are very pleased with the service received and how the workers informed us of the work that was being done. They took care to protect our lawn before starting. We were referred to Xpert by a dear friend who used their services 23 years ago and has been pleased with their system. Having flooded three times we now have peace of mind and the stress of never knowing removed. At the same time they discovered that our sewer pipe in the street was collapsing and it was necessary to replace that as well. They took care of all permits and stayed with the job until it was completed. They have dedicated workers and we are so pleased with the service performed.

The team was very professional, and personable from beginning to end, and very patient with answering all of my questions and concerns throughout the project. After flooding in July we knew we needed to get a solution to prevent the water coming up from the city sewer again. We called several plumbers and flood mitigation companies. Xpert was not only one of the more affordable options but it was the most comprehensive system. In addition they provide yearly service once the system is installed. My flood control valve was broken, I call xpert, they came to take a free estimate, Xpert send a technician to inspect and give me a free estimate. We scheduled for the repair. A month later, Xpert came to dig out my old flood control valve and replaced new one. They finished their great job in 2 days. They should have a power rod the day after. But they are busy for their schedules a head so they told me that they will come a week later to do it. I let Xpert know my bad situation and need to have a power rod my sewage line as soon as possible. So Xpert sent Sean came the next day to clear my sewage line. After one hour, Sean completely clear my sewer line. He did a great job. I am very satisfied with all the services Xpert has provided me.T Huynh

It took me a long time to make the decision to get flood control for my home, but I am so glad that I finally made that decision and called Xpert Flood Control, in my opinion they are the best. My partner and I recently had Xpert install a drain tile system after we found pinhole sized leaks in walls of our foundation and the basement floor, as well as new sump. The drain tile system was the way to go, to make sure the whole basement was secure. Xpert did a great job, working with our schedule, and getting the job done right on schedule. Their also helping us get the best deal on re-drywalling the basement now that the flood control job is done. We hired Xpert flood control to install flood control system at our home in February 2024. We were extremely satisfied with the project from meeting with Sean, who was thorough in explaining the project, to responding to our questions/concerns via email or phone call, to the project crew, who made sure the area was clean and secured at the end of their work day. We recently contacted Xpert because the mound above the system was still unlevel. They responded immediately and within a week came to level the mound to grade level. Great service and reasonably priced.

Expert has installed quite a few in my neighborhood. Looking into matter, (several companies) Expert was fair market price for job, like the quality of equipment installed & their expertise. Confidence in the fact theyve been doing these for decades. Explained everything I needed to know about the system, all questions answered. Now that weve had a few storms pass by, I think it is time to leave a review. The investment was well worth it! I got flooded last year when we got hit with a supercell rain storm and I made the decision to avoid future problems and headaches by getting a flood control installed. Chicago was just hit with a torrential storm a few days ago and we stayed dried. No sewage backup! I know the flood control worked because the neighbors that got flooded last year were flooded again this year. Aside from the equipment working, the staff and workers are really great. They answered all my questions and explained to me how everything works. After completing the installation, they did a good job of cleaning up and putting the sod back into place. After a month, you cant even tell that I had an installation made! Def recommend.

We had a back flow system installed after our basement flooded in Sept 2022. We just had another flooding issue in our neighborhood over this weekend and we had absolutely no issues with water. Such a relief! When you look at our front lawn now, you would never know all the work that went into it underground. It looks exactly as it did before the system was installed. Great customer service from the fellas at a Xpert. From the phone call with Sam the young man who gave me my estimate to the fine detail and quality work on my flood control. They were very busy and booked for a while but Sam got me an estimate appointment within a couple days of calling. I was in the market for a new flood control system for my house after the previous owner installed a terrible sump pump that was a disaster waiting to happen. After meeting with multiple companies, Xpert was clear winner. They were professional and very detailed, walking me through their recommendations and estimate.I put off installing the system for a month or two, which ended when I got water in the basement, of course. Xpert came out the next day to clear out the backed up sewer drain and then scheduled my work asap. Once they started, the crew was professional and courteous, since I was working from home the entire time. They were on time and cleaned up every day. During the instillation, they found drainage pipes that were improperly installed and causing problems, and fixed those right away.In total, they installed a flood control system in the front yard and a new sump pump in the basement. All of the parts and equipment they installed are top notch and the work is impeccable. Multiple huge storms later (including one with 4 of rain!) and the basement is bone dry. I cant recommend these guys enough!

We used Xpert for our new flood control system, after having water back up in our basement a few times, finally reaching our limit after heavy rainfalls over Labor Day weekend. I called Xpert on Labor day and left a message to see when someone can come out and give me an estimate and received a call back within a few hours from Angelica, who came out that same day and wrote out a detailed estimate for our job. Our job was started within the 6 weeks guaranteed time line [the long wait speaks for itself - highly sought after company], and we could not be happier. Great communication with Angelica throughout the whole time. Miguel and his team were very professional and kept us informed at every step of the way, showing us all the pieces going into the flood control system and explaining how the system worked - they even drove out all the dirt they dug up, cleaned up after themselves, and covered up the giant manhole with sod - awesome! Even the owner, Patrick, came out a few times to check out how the work was going. They dealt with city inspectors, so we didnt have to. * 5s all around * Its been over a month since our job was completed and we are very pleased with the end results. I hired Xpert Flood Control twice.We have lived in our house for 3 years and two of those years we have flooded. We looked around quite a bit but Xpert was our choice for several reasons. One the project was all inclusive. Perma-seal wanted to charge for extras and were not particularly friendly towards other companies.I liked that there was no nonsense, but that they wanted my business. They explained everything for me and were not slamming other companies. The work was done well, and they made promises that other companies wouldnt. When they said my lawn would look just like it had before, they werent kidding.I hired them again for seepage and they installed drain tile. Work was done well and I asked for custom issues that they were more than happy to provide. Costs were well within range and I could not have been happier.I just hope that I dont have to call again, but if I do they will be the company I choose.

Our house flooded 4 times in the last 6 months. We called Xpert and spoke with Sean. Sean came out right away and suggested we get a clean out install in the front yard. We previously had our sewers rodded out and were told they were clear. Sean thought that either our sewer collapsed in the parkway or that there were hefty tree roots that our plumber couldnt reach. Within 3 days of signing the contract Sean expedited the permits and completed the job. Turns out it was some hefty tree roots. Xpert and Sean did a great job. Kept me informed during the whole process. I highly recommend Xpert.

The first time I called them I had water in my basement, Mr Martin came over and instead of just trying to sell me something I didn’t need instead he just cleaned out my sewer.. this last time I had a horrible stench coming from my sewer and it looks like a pipe was broken.They told me exactly what to expect which was quite a bit and gave me a fair price... It is a family business and they treat their customers like extended family with friendly courtesy, professional dedication and expert knowledge and skill. I had an emergency with water suddenly backing into my shower and toilet. I called and was immediately assured by Sean that he would make time to come out and see what was causing the problem. He fit me into a very hectic schedule and identified a broken pipe that was preventing the water from exiting the pipe. They set up a repair date, secured the permit and are fixing the problem. Their pricing is fair and they provided pictures of the broken tile in my pipe to show how they assessed the necessary repair. I just had some major drainage work done at my home involving sledge hammering 2 holes in the basement floor, rodding out the catch basin & main line, installing a rodding entrance port, & patching the holes in the basement floor. This was a tricky project with many obstacles to contend with but the workers did their job with no complaints. Patrick the owner was on site multiple times to make sure all was well and make additional suggestions to ensure the basement remained dry. In fact, he surprised me and had the guys reroute one of the gutters, extending it with 30-40 feet of PVC at no additional cost. I will definitely call Patrick for my next project.

I had an excellent experience with Xpert Flood Control. I first dealt with Patrick, the owner, who came out to assess my leaky basement. Patrick explained what was going on, and showed me exactly where water was coming in. He took great care in making sure I understood the problem, and honestly, he was a pleasure to deal with. Once we established what the issues were, he had his crew come and perform the work. I can’t say enough good things about this crew. Miguel, the foreman was outstanding. After experiencing 2 water backups in my basement due to flash flooding this summer I immediately started researching flood control system and companies who install them. After extensive research I decided that a flood control system installed in my front yard was the answer to my issue. After already narrowing down the company I wanted to use (someone other than Xpert) I was hesitant to sign the contract because their reviews were subpar. In the 12th hour I happened to stumble upon Xpert by searching Google and Yelp. The great reviews and their years of experience pulled me in. After just 2 phone calls with the owner, Patrick, I decided to put a down deposit before they even came out to evaluate because I was confident that this was the company I wanted to do business with and I wanted to get in the que to get the system installed ASAP. Since then I can confirm that I made the right decision. Angelika promptly came out to evaluate and reconfirmed that the flood control was the correct solution. She also gave me 5 or 6 references in my area which all checked out. Some of the references I spoke with had the system installed for 15-20+ years and haven’t experienced a backup since. There was around an 8 week backlog which I was fine with and the installation started Monday of last week by Miguel and his crew. I monitored and documented the installation and was completely impressed with the quality and professionalism of the work and system. I felt that they took their time and did it right. They rodded out the sewer in both directions which was full of tree roots. In the installation process I was able to truly learn exactly how the system worked which I found to be really fascinating. By Thursday afternoon the installation was complete and from a distance you couldn’t even tell that there was a giant basin with flood control system installed under my lawn because they laid new sod. All in all I found Xpert to be very knowledgeable about water issues in Chicago basements, they were very aggressive and fair on the pricing, they were 100% legitimate as they pull all proper permits with the city, and most of all they had excellent workmanship. It’s the middle of November and while it could be a long time before we experience severe flash flooding again I have seen this flood control system in action in my front yard and am confident I will be flood free moving forward. I will update my review after the next flood.

My 3 flat building in Lincoln Park has had moderate to recently severe flooding for years. I reached out to a handful of companies and after being told I needed drain tiles to fix the problem, I reached out to one last company and found Patrick at Xpert and discovered that wasnt the case at all. While I am no flooding expert, Patrick spent an enormous amount of time explaining what the problem was, how his system works and what the process entails. This was well before any contract was written or even before hed know I was going to choose him to do the work. 5.0 star ratingWe purchase our home in May 2012 that was built in 1952....In April 2013 we flooded along with most of our NIles neighbors...18 total in the basement. Never in life did I imagine this could happen! My inlaws told us about a system that could be installed to prevent this from happening in the future, they did the legwork.....about a dozen companies came out to their house with estimates and proposals and they gave their business to Xpert Flood , and Angelica was there go to person.....We watched the install and about a month after their install we had another flooding rain which once again flooded our basement...BUT their basement was dry this time.....Perfectly DRY !! The first storm they had 12, now none...We called Angelica and set up an apt and she made her proposal which we thought was thorough and we were given a written proposal for the price including everything, NO hidden fees...We did have a few more proposals , just because , and we cam back to Angelica and Flood Experts.....We decided on Xpert for a few reasons...1 - My inlaws and their due dillegence on the history of many companies and products offered, 2- the product, we were very impressed with their flood system over some of the other ones that are being used and 3 they even offer a guarantee on their product.....Angelica was great...she answered every question and was very courteous with every call we had to her asking even more questions concerning in stall and information.A couple months later we were installed, July 2013. The hottest weekend of the summer so it seemed...their crews were unreal! The equipment was delivered the day before, the precautions that they took to protect the grass areas and existing landscapes and concrete were spot on......They were in and out in 2 days! Some of neighbors that used other companies had the mess for a week or more. Our lawn was pristine after wards....unlike some of our neighbors who had mounds of dirt with landscapers needed after the fact to clean the mess that was left behind.....The day after Xpert left....you would never know they were installing this huge system under our front lawn!!! It looked great....the only addition a manhole cover, for we chose that instead of the concealed lawn topper.....That fall, another large rainfall...we were DRY !! The following spring...DRY......some of our neighbors with out systems are still getting water....I could NOT BE ANY HAPPIER than I am with Xpert Flood Control...They were very courteous to our needs and scheduling...They were dependable and they ran the business end as they should...without problem..I am very confident giving a 5 star ratting based on our experience with Angelica and Xpert as well as with My in laws and many neighbors that also used them...Very Happy!! I posted this on Yelp but I wanted to get the word out on how good these guys were/are! Use them...you cant go wrong with an Xpert.Xpert Flood Control came out yesterday (09 JUNE 2022) and serviced/fixed a 20+-year-old system which I didnt even know I had! Unlike the other quotes, Xpert (Sean) did not have to rip out the old system and put it in their own. The other vendors, also very well known in the area, were all quoting me a minimum of $10K+, with all these hidden fees which no one really understands. Its hard to understand because it is something you dont do every day. For most people, its once in a lifetime project for the property.Anyways, when I called Xpert and spoke to Sean, he was able to give me a reasonable ballpark figure by just looking at ONE picture! Yes, I sent him one picture and he was able to assess and give me various options/scenarios over the phone. And what he explained all made sense. Again, over the phone, he was able to assess my issues and give me a sensible best and worst-case scenario. In the worst-case scenario, the price he quoted me was far lower than the other vendors, who by the way assessed the issue in person. They had to go back to the office to get me a quote, or simply couldnt/wont until they got the job.Well, given my experience I was bracing myself for the worst-case scenario BUT Xpert proved me wrong. Sean came and fixed the system in 30 minutes! In 30 minutes, he was able to fix/replace all the issues I had. What he explained over the phone, was EXACTLY what happened…the best-case scenario. After the job was done, I mentioned to Sean my reservations. Sean replied, maybe were just too honest. I would agree 100% with that! Xpert is a knowledgeable, professional, and HONEST company!
