Norbert and his team are absolutely fantastic. Easy communication, transparent pricing, and high-quality service. We had used them to redo our backsplash in our kitchen, which was done very well and in a timely manner (important these days as its difficult to get things done quickly!) We then hired them to remodel our powder room (pictures shown). His team (Andy and Ziggy) did a phenomenal job, with such attention to detail. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves, and we are thrilled with the finished product.

My husband and I have had nothing but nightmare experiences with contractors so when it came time to hang a door on our bedroom closet we kept putting it off! I found Norbert on Yelp based on his amazing reviews from others. If I could give him 10 stars, I would!! I honestly wish I would have found him much sooner!! He is exceptional when it comes to good communication, detailed explanation and of course his craftsmanship. He showed up on time, had everything needed for the job (which threw him a few curveballs along the way) and I couldn’t be happier with the finished product! He takes his time to make sure things are done right and I was extremely impressed to see him go back to make a few “tweaks”until they were perfect. He is honest, professional and again does amazing work! I can now see why he’s so booked up (but completely worth the wait!!!) Thanks for the excellent job and I can’t wait to work with you again!

Im a 4-time customer of Chicago Handy and a big fan of Norbert Sienko. I couldnt be more satisfied with the work Norbert crew has completed for me or how Norbert runs his business. Chicago Handy is priced right, the work quality is high, and theyre usually able to send someone out within a few days of requesting the job. I love the flexibility and ease of communication.On this particular job, Norberts crew member Charlie came to our primary residence to paint a couple of exterior doors. He was on-time, called ahead of his arrival, was polite and courteous, and most importantly, did a great job painting both of our doors which have exterior window grills, making the job a bit more involved. Charlies prep work was comprehensive and there wasnt a spec of project debris left over.I would highly recommend Chicago Handy to anyone who needs handyman work around the house or around their rental units. Will continue to use Norbert and the crew. Thanks again!

I contacted Norbert to repair my ceiling and some walls which were damaged by a water leak, as well as fixing a leaky sink.Norbert was very responsive when I contacted Chicago Handy. he came over the same day to assess the damage and gave me a quote. His team came in just a couple of days later and the transformation is unbelievable! The holes were patched and painted, and the team even matched the paints on my walls and ceilings. You cant tell there was ever any damage. They also fixed up the sink, and the cabinet underneath is dry as a bone.I am incredibly happy with Chicago Handy. The responsiveness, quality, and professionalism of the team is top-notch. I will always call them first, for any handyman job I need in the future.

Chicago Handy is great. I own a Handyman business in Arizona and I needed some help with a tenant in one of my rental units in Chicago. Chicago Handy was extremely responsive. They also made suggestions where my tenant could’ve fixed the problem and we could’ve not paid them. It wasn’t in their best interest, but it was in my best interest. However, they recommended that just because they thought that was the right thing to do. When they went to the rental unit because my tenant couldn’t fix it, they were efficient and professional. I can’t recommend them enough. If you need a handyman in Chicago, I suggest reaching out to them!

Great service. Easy to setup an appointment on his website. He was then very quick to respond and phoned to make sure details were set. He was punctual and arrived when promised (almost to the minute). There was a problem with my building (not his fault at all) and he patiently waited for it to get sorted. And, most importantly, he did the work asked for efficiently and quickly and no fuss. All at a fair price and he sends you a bill a few hours later you can pay with Zelle or (I think) Venmo. Every bit a professional job and experience.Absolutely would hire him again.

I am so glad that I recently used Norbert of Chicago Handy to do some work in my condo. Once I filled out the request online, I received a reply from Norbert containing a proposed date and an estimate for the work. He then also followed up via phone and email to ensure he had all the information about the tasks he would be completing and the supplies he would need. On the day of, he arrived promptly on time, wearing a mask and immediately changed his shoes upon entering my home. He also had a drop cloth that he carefully laid out. He was so careful and efficient and kind. He installed two light fixtures and hung a mirror. His prices are completely reasonable and his work was superb.Hiring a handyman or anyone to do work in your home can be a stressful experience, but I am so thankful I found Norbert and Chicago Handy!

I was turning over my condo to new tenants and needed to get some touch ups done on the unit, including a fresh coat of paint on the walls, replacing/fixing closet doors, re-caulking the shower and other miscellaneous items. Norbert was very prompt in his response, came out to the unit the next day to take a look and provide a better estimate on time/cost and his technician Mark began the work a couple days later. Norbert was always very transparent and kept me up to date on the work/timing and Mark did a fantastic job with everything. Would definitely use them again for future needs!

His is also very reasonable pricing wise, very patient and thorough.To note, I have found that Chicago Handy is always overbooked for months together. I contacted them twice and both times they said they are too busy.

I didnt have a huge project, but I had enough little things to do around the house that eventually added up to a lot. Norbert immediately gave me a timeline for the job, a very fair quote, and when the day came, Marek showed up on time with myriad tools and started working, accomplishing a whole lot, and arriving the next day with the paint and everything else needed for the job. Marek, in addition to being one of the kindest and gentlest of people, is a workhorse. He worked tirelessly and did a wonderful job, doing everything on my list, and then some. Norbert, the owner of the company, and the other workers are from Europe, where you dont simply take a course or two and start doing home improvement jobs. You apprentice or from a young age work with your family members, who worked with their family members... Its a lifes vocation, and they do their work with love and care. In a field rife with shady and unscrupulous people, Chicago Handy is a true exception. One doesnt often come across a contractor like Norbert, who has the highest standards for honesty and excellence as well as a real passion for his work. Highly, highly recommended.
