Our Frigidaire vent hood recently stopped working. We reached out to JGL and Marc responded right away. Within a day or two, he came out when he said he would, he worked methodically to determine the issue, and he was very professional and helpful.Turns out the breaker supplying power to the hood needed to be replaced, which he took care of on the spot. He didnt try to sell us on anything we didnt need, and he took pride in his work. Thanks, Marc, for being willing to help us so quickly and so reliably. If you want an appliance fixed or have minor HVAC, electrical, or plumbing work to be done, call these guys! It is refreshing to see that there are still people out there who take pride in their work, who show up when they say they will, and who are willing to help existing homeowners who need smaller repairs completed. Very fair priced, too.

I acquired a used washing machine that had a known leak. I contacted this company and Marc picked up while he was in the middle of repairing a fridge. He asked if he could call back and of course I said sure. He then called me back and gave me a few trouble shooting tips to see if it was a simple fix. It wasnt. He came out to my home, and had this thing fixed in under an hour. Fortunately for me (and likely him!), it was pretty simple. A week later, my dishwasher broke down (story of our life for 2023). Again he came out, originally thought we would need a new motor. He did a bit more digging and it turned out we just needed a new capacitor which he had on hand and had us up and running in about an hour.This company is a rare one. Fast, courteous, honest and they do what they can to keep from breaking the bank. I cant recommend them enough.Thanks Marc and JGL Repair. I hope I never see you guys again (unless its away from my house!) but if another appliance has issues, I wont look anywhere else. This company will always be called out here going forward.

Jim with JGL Repair is simply outstanding! He fit me into his existing schedule to fix my refrigerator and was very responsive to my need for a quick diagnosis and fix (if possible). He was able to fix my refrigerator, and even fixed other things that another service person had left half-done. He was professional, honest, and his price was reasonable. He is the ONLY person I will call in the future!

I have called Jim on 2 occasions (until now) and both times my experience was very good. He is quick to respond, diagonize and resolve problems quickly. He gives precise and reasonable quotes and doesnt over charge. He is also always on time. He has also given good advice on what brand of appliance to buy and what are the problems with the brands. Plan to use JGL Repair for any appliance and heating\cooling issues and very highly recommend him.

The amount of honest, reliable and expert people in the field of appliance repair (and many businesses) is few and far between these days.But Jim, owner/operator of JGL is the RARE exception to the rule. PLUS his service cost is more than reasonable and fair. I would have paid more without batting an eye because in my opinion, peace of mind is priceless. All of these points, is what makes his review a consistent 5 stars.I hired Jim based on everyone else who took the time to write a review and Im very glad I found him. He was punctual, fixed the problem with our 11 yr old Kenmore refrigerator plus took the time to explain everything in detail. Hes a true gentleman as well. Overall, there is nobody better in his field. We HIGHLY recommend Jim of JGL Repair!

My experience with JGL Repair was excellent!!! I had a very bad experience for a full week with another repair company. After speaking with Jim that morning, he was out shortly. He had to make two trips for the parts and still managed to have my refrigerator working that same day and very affordable. He also looked at my dryer and informed me of why it wasnt drying well. That alone will save me a lot on my power bill. I would definitely recommend JGL. Very professional and nice!

Jim came to repair a 7 year old GE refrigerator and determined that the issue was a faulty circuit board, which would have cost $300 in parts and labor to install to repair. He was open and honest to suggest we not invest that in a refrigerator this old, even though it would have meant he would have made money on the repair. He charged a very reasonable fee to come out and spend 2 hours on the unit. We would highly recommend him and will use him again in the future as it is not easy to find someone who forgoes money in the best interest of a customer.

“Excellent, Reliable, Fast and Best local service we’ve ever had!” I’ve called a big name company to fix my refrigerator and they couldn’t find the problem, condemned my 4 yr old appliance, charged me for doing nothing and told me I had to buy a new one. A friend referred me Jim from JGL Repair and he came fast, found the problem, fixed, charged me a very reasonable price and now that I have him maintaining all my other appliance, my electric bill is a lot cheaper and everything works better. I also referred him to my clients and they all call me back to thank me on how great he is. Thank you so much Jim.

Trust and honesty are very important. Jim has been very personable and fair. He can pretty much fix anything ive noticed! If he cant he will help to find a fix or collaborate to make things happen. Ive had his help on the hottest days and the coldest days of the year (which is usually when things fail) and he has been fair and honest and most importantly fixed the problems!! Ive asked for his help for several years now and yet have never actually had a chance to meet him in person...that says a lot. He has been my go-to guy when I cannot be there to fix things. I would a do recommend him highly!
