Bobby at LiveWire is awesome! I received his info from one of his former customers (referrals are a great sign!). I told him I needed a 250 volt 4 prong outlet installed in my garage for my new hybrid vehicle. Bobby was super responsive, got me scheduled and provided an estimate based on the pictures I sent him of my garage configuration. On the date of installation, he made sure to communicate he was on his way. Upon arrival, Bobby was fast, efficient and very professional. Im booking him to do my under-cabinet lighting in my kitchen next!! :)

My experience with Bobby at LiveWire has been overall positive! Below, I’ve listed some pros and cons, but I’m happy the pros outweigh the cons!Pros: Bobby removed my fluorescent light fixture (a real eyesore) and added 4 canned lights with a dimmer switch in my kitchen and 1 canned light in my hallway. He also added a strip light and switch in my pantry. (1) He got the job done in about 2 hours and (2) the lighting looks GREAT!! The dimmed light creates great ambiance and the highest setting provides sufficient brightness - see photos. (3) He did a good job guiding me through the layout and number of lights required for my space, and (4) I found his advice to be helpful and pretty much accurate. (5) When he arrived, he was up front about the costs and the fact that he wouldn’t be patching the holes and I’d need to hire someone else to do the drywall repair. (6) A couple days later, I had some questions about the work and was very grateful that Bobby took the time to make himself available to thoroughly answer my questions. (7) By the time we ended our conversation, I sensed that he valued his customers and wanted to do whatever he could to ensure I was satisfied with his work. I greatly appreciated this.Cons: (1) It took a couple months of calls and texts before I could get a time for Bobby to come out, but I was persistent, because his reviews are outstanding. (2) I didn’t know the holes would remain in the ceiling until just before the work started; it would’ve been nice to know ahead of time so I could’ve planned for a drywall person too so I could have a fully finished product that day. (3) Lastly, I wasn’t prepared to deal with the amount of drywall dust left behind, specifically in the water dispenser of my fridge and throughout the pantry. My previous contractors were a bit more thorough with cleaning.I offered feedback to Bobby on the communication part and he was receptive and open to my suggestions. I do understand he’s a small business owner and there are many moving parts to manage.

Bobby from Live Wire is fantastic! He was quick to respond to my request for an EV install. He was a great communicator throughout the process from setting up the appointment to explaining all that I needed to do and finally setting up the Tesla app to work with my charger. He accepted payment directly from duke energy and applied for my required permit. I only had to pay the permit fee of $150, which was less than what other installers quoted to be the permit cost. I will definitely be calling Bobby for all my future electrical needs.

Bobby will be my go-to electrician from now on! I called him at midday, needing my entire electrical panel replaced, and he had power back on within 6 hours. His prices were very fair, he was transparent throughout the whole process, and his work speaks for itself.He identified multiple mistakes with the original install and corrected them to bring us up to code. He sent me the permit for the work within an hour of our call. He even swept our garage after he finished, leaving it cleaner than when he had arrived. Bobby completed a complicated panel swap/ relocation from my crawlspace to the laundry room including the installation of an external shut-off and 2 ground wires. He was upfront about pricing and confirmed the cost (as they changed due to scope of work) prior to completion. He installed everything to code and got the proper permits for all work done.He took the time to properly label all circuits in the panel and explained some basic electrical knowledge to help me understand what he was doing and why.This was not a simple job as he had to sort through 40 years of added wires and a recent unpermitted panel install from a bad property flip forcing him to undo a lot of bad/ confusing wiring.Bobby will be my go-to electrician.

Overall experience working with Bobby was great. I contracted with him to install a dedicated 240V outlet for a plug-in hybrid. He was very knowledgeable of this work, including rebates available to help with the installation cost. He knocked out the work in a timely manner, with minimal disruption to my day. The inspector was lined up the following business day, with Bobby giving me a heads-up prior to his arrival and sending me the permit upon completion. Would recommend LiveWire, especially if you are looking to install an outlet for PHEVs.

Bobby from LiveWire Electrical is a very nice person to work with. Duke Energy has provided multiple contractors to contact those who can do the EV Charger installation at your home. I chose LiveWire Electrical, and that was the best decision I took. He asked for pictures and decided to visit the site. In my case, I was looking for a charger outlet on the other side of the garage wall, and significant work was needed to run the wire. He gave me a very reasonable quote over call, and after seeing the site, he stuck to his words and did a great job. I am delighted with his job and recommend him to do electrical work.

Installed two Siemens FS140 surge protectors after a recent power surge blew the compressor on my HVAC unit. The cost of installing the surge protectors was a fraction of what I paid to fix the broken HVAC compressor. I wish I had done it sooner. Bobby was fast to respond, quoted a very reasonable price and had the protectors installed a few days later. I would highly recommend. He’s prompt, courteous, professional and did a great job.

I needed a full replacement of my panel plus repair of aluminum wire. I got quotes from 4 electricians. One was up front and said it was too big of a job. One was an hvac company that knew I was very concerned about the aluminum and was comparing full copper replacement to just doing the repair and the replacement of panel. One was Bobby and one was some younger men who seemed like they would do a good job but who didn’t think some issues were a problem (no grounding rods, exposed wires). Bobby seemed to be the most experienced and pointed out that the hvac estimate was not giving me what I wanted but I had called that company a few times and verbally all seemed fine. When I insisted the quote be changed to reflect all the alumicon repairs, it came out that the quote was for panel upgrade only. I felt very deceived by them. Ultimately I chose Bobby to do the work and he was great. Did all the repairs, added some light fixtures and outlets outside, replaced wires to microwave and dryer to bring them up to code, lots of other stuff. I feel much safer now having had him do it. Took him longer to finish than expected but well worth the wait.

Hurricane Michael swept thru town Thursday afternoon and left me with a present in the form of a fallen tree. The tree took out a number of things, but most important was the power line. This was my mother’s home and I live out of town, I can’t leave her without power. Understandable getting an electrician at this time was difficult, they were in high demand. Saturday bought hope with an electrician who came by to look at the problem and said he would be right back after another small job. In short, he never showed up and wasted my opportunity for power Saturday. Saturday pm I found Livewire electric and Bobby had good reviews from all. I submitted a service request via his website. Followed up with an email with pictures of the problem, thinking it would be helpful for the electrician to see the issue the next morning. To my suprise Bobby texted me back within 15 min, letting me know he would be over in the morning. True to his word he was here at 9 am. He looked at the issue and said I need a new riser and wire in order to restore power. He was fair and explained why items were necessary to be repaired, if it was not obvious. He said he would be done by noon. He was finished by 11:30am. Bobby is very professional, knowledgeable and has compassion for his clients and their situations. I very much appreciate all Bobby has done my mother and I. If you need a honest, dependable and competent electrician call Bobby at Livewire electric. Thanks again for everything!!

EXCELLENT. I called in a pinch after overloading our outdoor electrical. Although it was a busy holiday weekend and I was calling at the last minute, Bobby took the time out of his packed schedule to patiently walk me through the fix on the phone and suggest an alternate lighting configuration. He literally saved the party our family was hosting that evening for 200 people. And to boot I wasnt charged a thing. True professionalism and service.
