AJ helped us troubleshoot why, when a TV screen went black and we put a different TV from another part of the house in the same place it went black too. Our system is a bit more complex since solar is involved and I could tell that he’s knowledgeable on how solar works too. Fixed a couple of problems with the electric panel and added a surge protector as well and the price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend him.

The next day, work was completed, permit was approved, and we were just waiting on Duke to reconnect the lines (which, dont get me started on that delay, but not in our control)AJ was great to work with, gave us updates along the way, and took the lead in communicating with my tenant as we do rent this out. After having one of those highly advertised companies come out and pay over $400 to tell us the repairs would be $4000, we decided to try Ewing. The technician AJ was very thorough and told us exactly what he was doing during the process. He investigated the issue until he found the problem. This involved going under the house and into our attic. Once he figured out the issue(s) he set to make the repair. It took almost 3 hours. But, as promised he charged the requisite fee for our level of complaint. He didn’t try to up the charge or sell us additional services. We have an older home and know it will eventually need required. AJ gave us a quote for the work and options for cost effective alternatives. We were really pleased with his knowledge and professionalism. Will definitely refer Ewing to friends and family.

Ewing Electric has become our personal and HOA go-to for electrical needs. We had a punchlist of ~20 electrical things to be done around our house and obtained quotes from multiple companies. What set Ewing apart was AJs workmanship and attention to details - he was here for 4 hours mapping out all of the work to provide the most realistic estimate possible. The work came out as planned and there were no unpleasant surprises (ex. I dont repair the drywall I had to cut). AJ helped us with lighting, grounding the house, replacing our electrical panel, and outlet/switch replacement.Since then, we have used AJ for several items for the HOA - including a rewiring of the clubhouse, grounding, replacing of neighborhood entrance lights, fixing the parking lot photocells and light timers, replacing fluorescent lights with LED strip lights.Most recently, we needed to replace our personal electric cooktop stove and AJ was able to finish the project in one day -- which unknowingly included reaching out to a HVAC contractor to help with the exhaust venting.We highly recommend AJ, and plan to use him for our future needs.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Ewing is hands down the best electrical company in Charlotte (in my experience). We had a few other companies come out and do a whole home electrical inspection and they were subpar at best. Ewing however, actually took the time to thoroughly look around and found several issues with our electrical system. We had issues with the wiring in the attic (home built in 1960 and flipped in 2009 prior to my purchase of it) and we had many original two prong outlets, etc. We had Ewing do a whole home redevice and bring everything up to code replacing all outlets and switches as well as many breakers to GFCI/AFCI for a VERY reasonable and competative price. They discovered issues with the wiring for our clothes washer and dryer, etc. They also discovered that our entire system was actually ungrounded as much of the galvanized water piping had been replaced during a kitchen renovation in 2020. We had them replace and upgrade our service from 100amps to 200 amps, new riser, 2 8ft grounding rods, etc etc, whole home surge protector. Again, for a highly competitive price. Ewing is a smaller company (but not too small) and they truly care, which is often hard to find in contractors (in my experience)...but when it comes to electrical work, you need someone you can trust. I am a skeptical person by nature and these guys earned my trust 1000x over! Jose, AJ & Conor all were excellent and answered every single question and explained things clearly and thoroughly. From the coordination with their office personnel on scheduling and what to expect (we work from home and they were able to keep us powered on for all but one of the three work days), to the call notifying us the inspector was on the way (passed, of course), the process was PERFECT and smooth and we literally could not be more satisfied. Thank you Jose, AJ & Conor! We will be calling Ewing ANYTIME we have any electrical needs moving forward.

We have had Ewing out twice now for electrical work. The first a car charger installation. The second, for re-wiring a kitchen for all new appliances. The electricians arrived on time and completed the work on time and to specifications. They cleaned up thoroughly upon completion. I would definitely hire them a 3rd time for any electrical needs.
