Water heater went out, and I wanted to use a local company. I read the reviews, and decided to give Thompson a try. Best decision I’ve made when It comes to these sort of things! From the initial phone call, to the time Tyler pulled up in my drive! Tyler was friendly, and professional, and I’m confident he did a great job!! Price was more than fair!! I will definitely call Thompson with all my future plumbing needs!!

Exceptional service, on time but what sticks out to me is the time that Brandon takes with his customer. A small toilet clog that is super annoying and messy for me, the homeowner, was nothing but an easy fix for these guys. The professionalism was second to none and the workmanship was excellent. I would recommend Thompson Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs! Big or small, one call and you can flush those problems right down the drain. Happy Customer !

The most important thing you need to know about a plumbing company is whether or not theyll come out and do warranty work. As a business owner I can tell you that is the most expensive part owning a business is when you have to go out and essentially work for free. Theyre those companies that do it then there are those companies that find a reason not to do it. This company stands by their work and doesnt try to charge you if something doesnt go as planned. If they come out when you schedule them and do the warranty work if necessary no matter the cost thats the company you depend on in the future. In short I dont need a plumber in the future. I have one. Thompson plumbing.

This is by far the best experience Ive ever had with a plumber or company in general. Brandon came out to my house on literally a 20 minute notice and was so helpful and nice. I appreciated his attitude and willingness to squeeze me in last minute. Although my issue wasnt plumbing related like initially thought, he was gracious and understanding. I would happily RECOMMEND Thompson Plumbing to anyone in need of a plumber in the Cartersville area.Although, back in October, I discovered that my old water heater had a slow drip leaking out of the top, for financial reasons I was hoping to hold-off having it replaced until after Christmas.Well, things changed during the evening of Sunday Dec. 1st when the leak suddenly increased in magnitude and even put out the pilot light. Luckily we discovered the change and were able to shut off the water before the leak completely overwhelmed the drip-pan.When I first discovered the drip in October, I obtained a quote from another company that had previously repaired my AC system, but I thought that quote seemed really high. But, since the water heater finally failed on Sunday evening and I didnt consider it an emergency situation because the water was shut off, I had time to do some online research before I could put in a service call Monday morning.I like to support local businesses whenever possible, so I began by looking for plumbers located in Cartersville. Thompson Plumbing immediately caught my eye due to their 5 out of 5 review scores on several different platforms, so I decided to give them a try.Fully expecting to be without hot water for at least another day, I called Thompson first thing Monday morning to get a quote and hopefully schedule the replacement.The person that answered the phone was very professional and pleasant to talk to as I explained my problem. I also emailed her pictures of my existing 40 gallon heater, which was located in a small second-floor laundry room. She stated that theyd get back to me soon with a quote.Within 30 minutes, the owner of company actually called me back with a quote for a new 50 gallon unit that was several hundred dollars less than the other companys quote I received back in October!But, what truly amazed me was that, even though they had other service appointments already scheduled for that day, the owner stated that due to the nature of the call (a leaking water heater), he would personally head my way before lunch to get things started, and that he should be able to free up one of his technicians to help complete the replacement by mid-afternoon that same day!He arrived in a truck about an hour later, and after the typical formalities, began the draining existing heater and prepping the new heater for installation. He came across as very professional, with an attention to detail, and even showed more concern than I had for preventing any kind of mess while draining and removing the old water heater. Once everything was ready to go, he left to pick up the other technician and returned shortly thereafter.Not only did they complete the replacement by mid-afternoon as promised, the pipe-work for the new water heater looked much more professional compared to that from the original water heater.And, despite the fact that I can be an annoying client because I tend to get in the way while asking ALOT of questions about the work in progress (by the length of this review, you can probably guess that I never shut-up once I get started), they both went out of their way to answer all of my questions and explain everything they were doing without hesitation, from start to finish.The new water heater works great and the extra capacity is an added bonus. I actually feel that my money was well-spent and Im 100% satisfied with every aspect of the experience.High Quality Work at a Reasonable Price, an Attention to Detail, and a true Dedication to Customer Service... a rare find in todays world.Thus, as stated above and without reservation, I would happily RECOMMEND Thompson Plumbing to anyone in need of a plumber in the Cartersville area.~JW

My first contact with Thompson Plumbing was October 9, 2023. There was a water leak in my basement. Corey pulled up the toilet. He used a camera to determine what was causing the leak. There was a broken pvc pipe and sagging pipes near the septic tank. On October 12th Corey and his team arrived early morning and worked all day to make repairs. It was a very intense job. They jack hammered concrete inside the basement closet and removed dirt to replace the pipe. They replaced sagging pipes near the septic tank also. What was quoted as possibly a two day job took less than 10 hours to complete.In December, Corey and team member replaced my gas water heater up to code, replaced the pressure regulator, and a few other plumbing issues.Corey is a skilled and professional plumber and has a caring disposition.He represents Thompson Plumbing well.Thank youJune 3, 2024Since my first service in October 2023 I have had other plumbing issues that Corey has taken care of. The most recent was installation of a new toilet due to the old one leaking. Corey recommended a “chair” height which is definitely more comfortable.Last Friday was the most recent plumbing issue. The garbage disposal had a leak and was replaced. I hope this is the last plumbing problem for a long time. However, if I need a plumber in the future. I will call Thompson Plumbing and request Corey as my technician. He is timely, respectful, and skilled.

2024 Update to a previous growing list of reviews:I have to say that the degree of expertise and care I have experienced with Thompson staff has been excellent! We have used them for multiple services at multiple addresses; and I plan to continue, due to the level of care. Fridge line installation, Water Heater replace & service, Pressure regulators, and leak fixes. Brandons team is top notch!From 2023:I see I already reviewed in 2019 and weve used these guys more than once since then. It wont let me add a new review - only add. So... Levi came out just a couple weeks ago and installed a pressure regulation device both at the incoming water line and also the actual water heater. He was very patient and courteous and - although the cost was higher than anticipated (everything is up these days!) I know we were given top notch equipment and top notch service and assured this should last us - as long as we plan to live here. Appreciate these guys. Thanks Levi!!...Great job on our refrigerator water line install in 2018 and our sink replacement in 2019!! Will use again if we are still in the service area after our move! Come to think of it, we may have some upcoming projects both for the old house and the new one and will definitely consider Thompson!

Brandon and his team are AMAZING, to say the least! On Thursday we came home to a gas leak determined by the city. I immediately called Thompson Plumbing and they had someone out the very next afternoon. The technician arrived around 3:30 and had assessed, repaired, and tested our range for gas and was out the door by 3:45! Five Star plumbing service! I had a leaking tub, several leaks around my main water cutoff valve inside the garage, and varying water pressure. The owner, Brandon Thompson, came to my house on a Saturday morning and fixed my leaking tub and temporarily stopped the water from leaking from my main water cutoff valve. He also dug a hole outside to find where the water line came into my house, and found that it was completely wrong, and wrong connections that should never be buried underground. James came out to my house two days later and completely rebuilt everything perfectly, with all new pipes and valves. Premium Service at a very reasonable price!! I would definitely recommend Thompson Plumbing. They are very skillful in what they do, and most importantly they are passionate about their work and the people they help.

I called Thompson Plumbing to deal with a clogged/blocked disposal and let me just say that there is a reason this guy has such a high rating. Brandon took the time to help me address the issue on the phone! After a 10 minute call, my disposal was not only unclogged but functional again. Most plumbers would want to get every dollar out of you, but this guy was amazing to help over the phone and ended up paying NOTHING. Brandon and Carlos are terrific !!!Recently our company, ARS, Inc. had a Water Damage assignment. Our customer was told by her plumber that after we completed the drying, the entire home would have to be re-plumbed. I suggested to our customer that she get a second opinion and put her in touch with Brandon at Thompson plumbing. Turns out that although she did need plumbing work, she did not need the kind of work the first plumber wanted to do.Because of Thompson plumbings honesty and integrity, our customer was able get the work that was needed done in a timely manner and substantially cheaper than the original quote.Nice job Brandon and Carlos--and thank you !

Absolutely amazing. Knowing nothing about plumbing, I wasnt sure what was wrong. The water line to my toilet was leaking and I had a puddle in the basement. I called Thompson Plumbing and Brandon immediately answered. I described the problem and Brandon asked me to send him a picture of what was going on. Instead of making a quick buck, he walked me through the process of repairing it myself. I have never done business with such an honest person, especially when it comes to this kind of work. I read numerous reviews about other plumbers and was scared to call anyone. After this experience, there is only one person I will be calling for my plumbing needs and will recommend Thompson Plumbing to everyone I know. I wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars because Thompson Plumbing deserves it.

Turned out that my washer/dryer line is connected with my kitchen sink line.....the back-up was caused by oil and fat from the kitchen sink and the bottom. Cannot recommend highly enough. The first time I called Thompson Plumbing was at 5:30 on a Friday, and I was 500 miles from home. My neighbor called to let me know it was obvious that I had a pipe burst in my well house, and, not being from the area, I was unsure who to call. In this day in age it’s a scary experience having to contact a tradesman when something goes wrong in your home. In my personal experience I’ve only had 2 plumbers in my life that I trust to fix my issue but above all to be honest and give it to me straight about what the problem is. One is on the west coast and the other is the knowledgeable crew at Thompson Plumbing. Brandon Thompson and his amazing crew at Thompson Plumbing are the real deal. When I’ve had to call them for an emergency Samantha got together with the guys and they pulled together in prompt fashion to help us. We’ve also used their expertise to analyze potential problems on a home we were listing for sale. Had a leak coming from my main shower/bath. I tried to fix myself by replacing the drain, but it continued to leak into my garage. I called Thompson Plumbing because they were local in Cartersville. They came out that morning to look at the leak. They were very prompt and professional. After about 5 minutes of troubleshooting my leak they discovered that my leak was actually coming from my shower head. Water was leaking from the shower head onto the faucet which wasnt caulked and water was running behind the faucet done the PVC pipe and into my garage. I would recommend Thompson plumbing to anyone for any future plumbing need. 5 stars!

Can I give them 5 more stars? When we discovered a leak on the main coming into our house around 9p on Sunday, we called one of the big guys. After just a few minutes they provided an estimate for an entire new line from the street and replacing the PRV inside the home (even though the pressure was fine). Once the sticker shock wore off we scheduled the work and they were due back at 12p the next day. Fortunately for us, they were late and we followed up on a recommendation of Thompson. They arrived within the hour, truly diagnosed the issue, and returned ahead of schedule today to fix the issue. All at 1/3 the price of the original estimate. We could not be more pleased. I had a water heater spring a leak so I purchased a new one after doing some research. I made some calls to find someone to install the new unit and get it up to code because my wife freaks out if she sees me with a pipe wrench ;>). I made several calls and got several quotes, some that seemed ridiculous. After speaking to Brandon who I felt asked the right questions including “is it still leaking now the question no one else seemed concerned about, I knew then this was the individual I was going to give the job to even though I got a quote less than his. I met up with him at the store I purchased from the next day and we picked up the heater and the necessary parts and began to install but the first heater was damaged out of the box so we drove back for a replacement. Once we returned in no time Brandon had the old unit out, installed the unit, brought it up to code, made some necessary changes needed for pressure valves and even threw in a kitchen sink faucet sitting in my garage for 3 months (that I was not allowed to put in myself) and all for the original quote he gave me. He went above and beyond answering other questions I had not even related to the job. I would recommend Brandon and Thompson Plumbing to anyone and in fact already have. Definitely a 5 star rating in my book.

We have used Thompson Plumbing three times now. The latest was just this morning. We had an issue with our toilet and I had called yesterday but their schedule was full. Brandon fit us in today (on a Saturday, no less!) and got it fixed in no time! He was friendly and professional- and even took the time to explain to me what was wrong with the toilet part!
