Conner T and Jon did awesome work for me today! They installed a new water heater, thermal expansion tank, and Moen Flo auto-cutoff valve in the tightest of locations—I’m impressed that they got it all to fit! (See pic)Furthermore, I’m in a 3rd floor condo with no elevator and getting the association to cut off the water for them to work was challenging (to put it mildly) and yet Connor and Jon got it done in the allotted time with smiles on their faces! They’re both great credits to Michael and Son who I highly recommend (I’ve hired M&S for HVAC and electrical too). For consistently great service without headaches call Michael and Son, for above-and-beyond workmanship and attitude, hope they send Connor and/or Jon!

I have the Michael and Sons home care agreement and have always been impressed by the level of service each technician has provided. Each is professional and provides helpful recommendations as well as education for issues within my home. They will also offer their assessment on the level of risk and which repairs and upgrades to prioritize. Would recommend to any homeowner, both for those with new homes or older homes like mine.Update: Would like to also specifically mention Stuart who came out for some plumbing issues I had with an older tub. Highly professional, worked efficiently, and resolved my problem in about 15 minutes. Would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a plumbing job. Even went the extra step to recommend preventative maintenance steps we can take.

Cesare Naveda was our plumber and the best one weve ever used. He was knowledgeable, courteous and informative so put us at ease. He knows his profession as he got the jobs done easily and quickly to give us excellent results. His assistant/apprentice worked very well with him and did a great job as well. Cesare is definitely top-tier in the plumbing world; his apprentice is lucky to be with him and I can see he will be an excellent plumber as well. If you want your customers to feel at ease, this is the man you should send for any plumbing job! I mean it!

Mr. Kim came two days back to back to complete plug and switch replacements. It was a huge amount of work for one person and he was dedicated, did not take breaks, and always had a smile. The first day he spent 9hrs and the second day he was with us for twelve hours. He was professional, patient, and explained everything he was doing. He was also extremely kind. It was a good and comfortable experience and we are extremely appreciative of Mr. Kim’s hard work ethic, knowledge, and knowing he just wants us to be safe.

I called Michael & Son on the morning of Christmas Eve for an HVAC tech to come and show me how to work my thermostat in our new home. I was certain I was doing it wrong since I could never get the upstairs to heat up on extra cold nights. They sent Jose Garcia and I told him I was hoping that I was going to be the easiest call of the day. Apparently it was not my poor thermostat skills but a much more complex issue. He patiently worked through the system to figure out what was going on and clearly explained everything along the way. Three hours later we are up and running! I feel absolutely horrible about taking him away from his family on Christmas Eve but am so thankful our issue is resolved. I’ve always been happy with the Michael & Son professionals they send our way but there was something extra special about Jose. Daniel called to let me know that he could arrive earlier than the scheduled appointment time (because he had finished up on his previous job earlier) which was great because the work to find leaks in the basement gas line in my house and install me a new water heater took longer than expected. Daniel did a thorough examination of the pipes, performed a gas line test, and made all necessary repairs. He installed a new water heater and cleaned the area of any debris that occurred due to work done. Danielwas professional, very polite, and he kept me informed throughout the process. In my opinion, he did an expert job! Based on this positive experience of Daniel’s expertise (based apparently on his years of work experience in working on something as serious as finding and repairing gas leaks inside of houses), and his expert installation of my new water heater, I would definitely request or recommend Daniel from the company Michael and Son to perform plumbing work!!!

He was perfect in the installation and treated our home as if it was his by wearing booties over his shoes and picking up all waste.My compliments to your company and your workforce. Truly impressed with the teamwork.Donald Monroe, Dan Nichols, Daniel Boling, and everyone else who helped me during what was a difficult time for me, I am very thankful for your excellent service. And really, that is the reason why I decided to go with Michael & Son. If I am being completely honest, their prices are not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive, but the determining factor for me was their reliability and great customer service. The technician, Sohail identified the problems with the gas line and water purification system and clearly explained how to resolve the matters.He went and purchased the parts required for the repairs and stayed to complete the job, about two hours past normal working hours. The Quality of work completed and professionalism were both outstanding and I would recommend their service to other potential customers.

Aldo was the Electrician that came out to looking the electrical issue that I have been experiencing with my AC unit for the 18 months. He thoroughly explained the situation where as the Electrical technician that came out from M&S did not. Aldo provide the next I should take which is to call Pepco to examine my meter box and to call him back to report what Pepco discovers with examing my meter box so we can know what option we must take to resolve the lack os power issue to my electrical panel in the apartment unit. This information should have been provided to me by the previous Electrical Tech!!! Thank you Aldo for the excellent customer service.

He troubleshooted the issue quickly and efficiently, diagnosing the problem and completing the repairs in a timely manner. Cesar was amazing. He and his trainee Brian put shoe covers on and a floor mat down as soon as they arrived. Cesar explained what he would do to investigate the problem. He was able to diagnose the issue almost immediately. He explained what was causing the water meter to run continuously, even when water wasn’t running. In a short amount of time he and Brian fixed the toilet issue that was causing the problem. They were courteous, careful, and efficient. I highly recommend Cesar and Michael and Sons, and we will call them again for any other plumbing work we need.

Hanbyeol Kim introduced himself as Han and did an outstanding detailed precision oriented job updating our 25 year old breaker box, and 50+ outlets and switches over the course of three visits. The first visit was to repair a burnt electrical outlet and the next visit was a 10 hour day of grueling room to room, floor to floor changes and the third visit was updating the breaker box and three outdoor outlets. Amazing job and the email invoices showing photos of all the outlets, switches and breaker box worked on just outstanding details from Michael & Sons.

He also thought of really good ideas- like checking to make sure a reading light we were installing did not put out heat making it uncomfortable to sit too close to it. When I found a box of bulbs in the basement, he even changed the bulbs in one room to a soft light to match another bedroom and took the time to climb the ladder to replace the used bulbs in a light so we should have longer before they burned out. I appreciated the attention to detail!Eta: we also had a great experience with Wayne, the HVAC guy. He was very thorough, polite, and professional.

When the Tech (Christopher) arrived I added a request for quote of a gas line replacement. He seemed unsure of all my requests. There was another gentleman with him and I question if he was even an employee of M&Ss. Christopher was nice and professional, but obviously very green. He told me to be sure and request a roto-rooter tech when I called a second time to request a drain snaked. I said I have to call again to make another request? He said he’d make sure it was taken care of for me. That was Thursday. I had to call back Monday to again request a drain snaking and an estimate for gas line replacement. I felt bad for the kid as I don’t think he was prepared for independent service calls. His friend was zero help.

I am giving 5 stars even though the disaster services could not get to me on time. We managed to get most of the water up and purchased commercial grade equiptment and decided to take care of it ourselves. He called me at 4:20pm and explained that they were a man down and that is why they missed our 10-12pm window. I let him know that I wanted to get everything dried up asap, and was in process of purchasing blowers and dehumidifier. My husband and I and some relatives dried everything up and removed wet rugs and wet insulation and are trying to take care of it ourselves, but that if the tiles pop up or if there is any evidence that we did not succeed in getting it done, we would reach back out. He was very nice on the phone and genuinely seemed concerned about the potential for mold growth. I explained that my brother inlaw who owns a restoration company has been aiding me from afar. I did appreciate the effort to get to me today and will call and reach out if I need help. He was very polite and kind.

Kitchen pipes backed up in the middle of the night, and after hours of draining buckets out of my kitchen, I called the emergency line (new to area and used google to find someone). Darryl showed up right away (he even called to let me know when he was enroute). He spent hours trying to solve a problem that I thought was unfixable. He didnt give up, and kept trying different methods until he solved it. The price he quoted at the start was the final price - even with all the hours he was there. Mr. Hanbyeol arrived at 10:50 a like he text me he would, and it took him lest than 15 minutes for the electrical inspection. He did inform me that Maryland State now requires every room in my house should have smoke detectors which I really appreciated that information. He was very professional and considerate.

I had 2 clogged bathroom sink which was estimated to take 2 hours. James Michals was absolutely amazing from the moment he entered my home which he greeted me with a genuine smile. He explained everything in details and did an amazing job fixing the 2 sinks. The job ended up taking 4 hours due to the bad condition one of the sink had. Again James showed me everything about what had to be done and the problem to resolve the issue. If you have any plumbing issue definitely request for James Michals

Cesar and his colleague came to install a new water heater, a new PCV and a new main valve. Amazingly, they did it in just three hours, including the hour they need to drive out and bring the new water heater.Everything was done to the code, neatly and with no debris or garbage left anywhere. First time calling Michael & Son Services for an emergent plumbing issue. The person who helped me over the phone was cordial and got me booked right away. There was same-day availability - I called around 12:45, they said they said 1-3:30 available so I expected someone to come around 3ish? Carlos came at 1 - cant get any better than that. And Carlos is great - explained everything well and most importantly was able to fix our issue in less than 2 hours. Definitely calling Michael & Son again if we ever run into more issues.

Michael and Sons was great on helping with a leaking toilet. They also identified some other items, but gave us options on to think about. Alex was great during the initial inspection and upfront and transparent which was a big help. The day of the installation of a new toilet, water heater, replacement of a leaking outdoor faucet and ball valve he walk me through the process and after some items came up additional help from Michael the project was completed in one day. We signed up for the Gold HCA plan which I believe is going to be very help based on today!

He quickly assessed the situation, explained the problem clearly, and got to work right away. The issue was resolved efficiently, and he even took the time to ensure everything was cleaned up before leaving.What impressed me most was his calm and reassuring demeanor during a stressful time, as well as their expertise in handling the problem. Great job! Replaced the old GFCI outlet in no time and tested it to make sure everything else in the kitchen was working normally before he cleaned up. Joel just needs a new iPad since his current one has a couple cracks in the screen. Thanks for the quick job! Ive lived here a very long time and this was the first time I had to call for Electrical issues. I will use Michael and Sons the next time!

We had an emergency septic issue on a Friday afternoon. That meant no water usage going into the weekend. When we called MIchael and Son Services Teyonna answered the phone. She was an absolute delight to speak with. Top notch Guest interaction to start our service call! Drew was able to come out later that day. He was Friendly, Professional, and gave us 3 quotes to solve our problem. The quotes were a bit higher than expected, so we did decide to go with another company. That is the only reason for 4 stars. Even though we didnt move forward with the company, these 2 employees gave amazing service!
