We just had our oil heater serviced by Appleton Campbell, and I have to say, they’re absolutely amazing. They’ve worked on our heating system a couple of times now, and their service is always top-notch. When I call to make an appointment, the ladies on the phone are always so nice and professional—it’s honestly such a pleasure to talk to them. They follow up with phone calls, emails, and texts, and even give you a heads-up when the technician is on their way. It’s little things like this that make a big difference.Jake, the service technician who’s been to our house twice, is fantastic. He’s polite, professional, and really knows his stuff. Both times, he made sure everything was done perfectly and explained things in a way that made sense. You can tell he really cares about doing a good job.I honestly can’t say enough good things about Appleton Campbell. They’ve been around since 1976, and it shows in the way they run their business. You just don’t see customer service like this anymore. I wouldn’t trust anyone else to work on our system—they’re the best, hands down. Excellent service all around with an electrical issue at my home. They were able to schedule a free estimate within minutes of my online inquiry and bring the tech specialist within a day. The tech specialist, Artie Straniti, was fantastic. He was personable and easy to talk to. He made me feel confident in his skills as an electrician. Artie explained things clearly, never talking down to me. He was thorough and found a quick fix that saved me hundreds of dollars. Highly recommend!

We reached out to Appleton Campbell to come check out our HVAC system after we noticed leaking on the outside unit. Fortunately there were no major issues with the outside unit but microbial growth was noted inside the furnace so we agreed to have a UV light installed to prevent future growth and treat current growth. We also had a new thermostat installed. Andrew did a thorough assessment and provided us with options. He thoroughly explained everything and was patient when I asked a million questions.We also had a plumbing and an electrical assessment done. Glenn and Robert were also very professional and thorough. A few things were notes in those assessments since our house is 40 years old. We were very happy that some of the plumbing work could be done the same day as the assessment.We were impressed with the services provided and would recommend Appleton Campbell. Full disclosure they won’t be the cheapest but they provide amazing customer service and their people are happy working there. Happy employees usually means better quality work.

John was very courteous and knowledgeable about my system and gave valued suggestions and was able to get the service scheduled the same day.Literally 2 hours later Devin and Julian showed up and tackled the problem which started with hand draining 65 gallons of water from a pressure tank on a rainy wet day. They explained every step they took and the corrections they made to the old system. B they worked well past 5:30 and stayed to assure all pressure test worked and even cleaned my wood floors. All three young men were excellent and you could tell they love what they do and take pride in a job well done

Had Kevin Stanley come to home after recent fix on AC unit. Was able to troubleshoot it and get it back up to standards. Was very prompt and understanding on the situation to ensure unit was back up to production. This visit wasn’t charged and followed up with excellent service. In addition, he had a UV scrubber on him and I was able to move forward getting it installed the same day of AC service. What was really appreciated from him, was answering more questions about water softener system and heater preventative maintenance in the near future. When it comes to plumbing, there are specialists that come on site to be 100% experienced on based on the speciality/trade. He was able to schedule me a future estimate date with another employee and made it hassle free. Overall, I’m enjoying the services this company is providing and being part of the MVP program, which is a fair deal for the services included and discounts. One less stress factor and quality guaranteed.

05.03.2024 Let me start off my saying I called around 8:15 or so 05/02 to see if a tech could come out to look at our well since we already had someone coming out for the AC. The nice lady scheduled us a tech for the well for 05/03. Our AC appointment got r/s but that’s ok. At this point the well was more important since we had no water. W.T communicated when he was in his way, he was amazing, knowledgeable, understanding, made the process for having to replace our well pump and pressure tank less stressful. Then he got on the phone and got the ball rolling. Then Austin, Devin, Aldany and Julian arrived and worked hard to get our water back on, they saved my birthday weekend from being miserable and more so working late on a Friday evening. All of them were amazing I just can’t say enough about them. My 10 year old son loved trying to help them and they were so nice to him. We will def use this company again. They all deserve employees of the month or something. 🙂05.18.2024Today Kevin Stanley came out to do our AC inspection. We had no idea how many issues we had. He was amazing just like all the other Appleton employees. Kevin was very informative and made sure everything with our system was tip top before he left. We can already tell a big difference in the house. He even was working out in the pouring down rain on a Saturday without any complaints and a smile on his face.

I don’t post reviews ever but I’m always impressed with Appleton Campbell.I’ve used them in the past and they’ve always been good, but this one stood out. My main drain line backed up on December 23rd flooding my basement and left me without working plumbing. On Christmas Eve, while it was sleeting/cold raining, they came out and replaced the drain line. My wife, toddler, and infant would have struggled to enjoy our Christmas without them.

I had my well pump fail on a most recent holiday weekend, late on Friday night. On Saturday, Carter came out, reviewed everything, assessed my options, then talked me through everything. He was extremely knowledgeable, polite and courteous. As scheduled, Shane and Ethan arrived at 8am on Monday (the holiday) and talked me through my option selection, then went to work. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous, respecting my property. Three hours later, I had a new well pump and pressure tank, with the best water pressure I have had in the 20 years I have lived here! They removed all old parts and residue, making this a most pleasant experience. I will be using Appleton Campbell for all of my future plumbing needs!

On Friday, 12/20, my hot water heater died. You sent someone immediately and either he, or the tech who came to install the new water heater, discovered that carbon monoxide was exhausting into my condo and the units above and below mine. When Columbia Gas came, they were blown away that your tech did this. They said most of the time, the issue isnt detected and we were really lucky. I cant thank you enough for quite literally saving the day and possibly our lives. I will always, always use Appleton Campbell. And your technicians deserve Employee of the Month awards for their incredible efforts. Thank you!

Appleton Campbell is my go-to company for my HVAC, plumbing and electrical needs because of their quality of work and staff. Glenn didn’t disappoint and carried on the positive experience I always have with AC. I have a project plan with Glenn that I’ll move forward with now! You get what you pay for and AC is worth every cent!UPDATED 05/24/2024Im adding to my review based on my most recent experience with the plumbing and HVAC teams.First, I want to acknowledge the excellent job Keith and his plumbing team did with installing a tankless water heater (see pic), new toilets, and some other plumbing-related items in our recently purchased home.Moving to the HVAC team of Zach W., Justin F. Vasyl O. and Nick B., the experience was identical for a new air conditioner and furnace. Impeccable work quality and a great team. Judge for yourself from the pics. From what was replaced and what the area looked like prior to installation, its a thing of beauty! :-)Im going to sound like a broken record, but the professionalism and quality of work is exceptional. I felt I was being treated as if our home was the teams home.Our experience with the various teams didnt deviate, which shows the Appleton Campbell staff (including the back office - April, Jocelyn, etc.) share the same DNA when it comes to their quality of work and customer interactions.As I said above, you get what you pay for and AC is worth every cent!

Ive hired many different companies to do hvac work in my house, but they are both cheaper AND better trained than big name competitors from Fairfax. Plus everyone is very friendly. What i appreciate the most is the thorough work they do on the estimate so there are no surprises charges during the installation. I had a heat pump replaced and it turned out a gas line needed to be changed that they hadnt included in their estimate. They did the extra work for no extra charge. They go the extra mile to take care of the customer and do the job right

Highly recommend Appleton-Campbell for HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical work. We have been Appleton-Campbell VIP clients for 4+ years and we have had work done in all those disciplines. We have never had a bad experience.Our most recent project for this review: 1900 farmhouse with 30+ year old electrical panel. Project involved upgrading and relocating upgraded electrical panel in conjunction with a 24KW whole house generator install with whole house surge protector. The age of the home, location of the generator and other factors made this job particularly challenging. Nonetheless, our expectations were met and more.Very pleased with the collective team that help with site assessment, quote and execution of electrical panel upgrade and generator installation. I also wanted to commend the staff at the main office. There is an immense amount of administration, coordination and management that goes on there that is likely underappreciated. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes to enable their skilled professionals to execute on client site.Specific to the technical staff who were on site, I commend them all for their professionalism, work ethic, efficiency, camaraderie, team spirit, and commitment to quality. Everyone had a level of technical ability that gave us complete confidence in their ability to achieve the desired end state. In fact, the confidence and communication exhibited by David Franklin and Thomas Shawaryn when providing the combined electrical panel/generator quote were pivotal to us making a decision to select Appleton-Campbell to execute the project.It’s always satisfying to watch true professionals who know their craft. While watching them work on this project, it wasn’t just watching everyone execute their specific tasks that was good to see. During the project, we witnessed several instances where more senior and seasoned technical staff were providing encouraging and empowering mentorship to the more junior staff. Jacob conducted a very thorough inspection and answered all of our questions. We set up an appointment to have the most critical areas addressed and Austin and Aldany were sent out. They found some unusual configurations and ran into some trouble with one of the washer valves, causing them to have to return the next morning. They got everything finished and made sure that I knew where and how to operate all of the new valves. And also helped us get a temporary solution to having hot water for a least a short time. They were quick to respond and fix the issue, going beyond what the original issue was. During the event, they kept us informed on what was happening and what the next steps were going to be. They were all very polite and worked in unbearable conditions to fix this issue. I am grateful to have had such a good company and group of guys come to the rescue. Had my HVAC installed by Stuart, Justin, and Doug. They did a great job and were done timely. Great communication on the work they were doing and status of the work. The install was very clean and make sure to make sure it was done in compliance and clean up the pipes, wires, and unit itself. It looks so much better and more compact. Highly recommend them for install and will definitely have them install again. Already signed up for their maintenance plan.

Micah Leuterio had advised us generally on an HVAC question wed had about a property in Pennsylvania--when one of our properties in Virginia had an HVAC issue, we remembered Micahs advice and called the company for service. We were in Pennsylvania when the issue arose and we were completely comfortable with the communication with the company and Micahs assurance that Appleton Campbell would take care of my problem without the necessity of my personal intervention. His recommendation was to replace the unit in a cost benefit analysis framework which made perfect sense. The installation was completed on time and in a very professional manner.My tenant is ecstatic and was very appreciative of the attentiveness and personality of Micah and the other service personnel. I can recommend the company without reservation.

A new HVAC system was put together for us this morning by three outstanding men from Appleton-Campbell firm; Zach W, Connor P and Levi A. They were on time, efficient and all around perfect. Left the job site in an excellent shape as if nothing happened while they worked for over 7:30 hours. Our sincere appreciation to all.
