Rob Anderson was the BEST technician from Affordable Heating. When my humidifier was not working, Rob did a thorough review and found that my GFI outlet was not working correctly AND the existing wiring to the furnace was not working and also needed to be rewired. He went over and above to find and fix the problems instead of putting on a bandaid. His knowledge, expertise and skill is the difference between a trained technician and just an employee.

Everyone dreads when you have to replace your furnace and a/c! Well that time came for me and I decided to act on it before the spring and summer rush. I have been using Affordable Heating and Cooling for the past couple of years to service my furnace and a/c so the decision was simple. I called Rich and he sent Rob out to give me a quote and in less than a week later(yesterday 2/20/23) he had his crew out for the installation. Rich, Rob, Dave and I feel horrible but I forgot the 4th guys name came out yesterday to install everything. They all were very professional, helpful and friendly! From the day Rob came to give me the quote to installation day when the 4 of them showed up they all worked really hard and non stop to get everything installed and up and running which is what I have come to expect from Rich and his crews! They dont mess around! No hidden expenses and they never try to sell you something you dont want or need! Im so glad that I went on the recommendation from a good friend and neighbor and started using them! They have made a life long customer out of me and they are the only one I trust to work on my heating and air. If you need service, repair or installation dont hesitate to call Rich at Affordable Heating and Cooling, you definitely wont regret it! Installed a York furnace with whole house humidifier, York a/c, new thermostat and re routed the drain for the ac the proper way! I am very pleased with their work and products!!!!

When we purchased our home, Rich and his team were incredibly professional and personable. In a matter of one day they installed an air conditioning system for our house because the previous owners had no central air system. He also checked our furnace and guarantees his work. You can also call him for any issues you have and he is prompt to fix them. Our puppy chewed the black foam that connects the air conditioning unit to the house and he came out, fixed it and inspected the whole unit (inside and out).Ive recommended him to several friends who have needed work done and he has exceeded our expectations and has done great work. If youre looking for a reliable, affordable, professional and friendly service, this is the one to use.

Awhile ago Rich spent the time to review our challenges with a home that is too cold in the lower level and too warm on the top level in the summer. His suggested options for improving the situation were excellent and so much more practical and effective than the 3 other heating & cooling companies we had consulted over the years. He is so knowledgeable!!So when we needed to replace our HVAC system we went Affordable Heating & Cooling. They installed the furnace and AC in one day back in September. The team respected our home - cleaning up and being careful of our property. The installation went smoothly as well as they took the time to answer all our questions. the system is so quiet and we are thrilled with the result.

From the first call Rich made me feel like a friend before a customer. My furnace stopped working at the most inconvenient time as they all do and Rich could have taken advantage of this situation. He gave me my options and let me make up my own mind on how i wanted to proceed. We ended up opting for a new furnace and Affordable installed it. Now I am a bit of a perfectionist and after the install I inspected the work believe me and I could not find anything to be upset about. I contacted Rich at Affordable Heating and Cooling at about 8:00 in the morning when my furnace stopped working. The owner, Rich responded in just a few minutes. When I described the problem, Rich stated that his techs would be out within the hour.It only took 45 minutes from the time I spoke to Rich that his 2 employees were at my house. The 2 technicians were very friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem. They explained everything that they were doing and were extremely efficient. In the process I learned a few things I was not aware of regarding matters that pertained to my furnace.I could not be any happier with the service which I received from Affordable Heating and Cooling.I will be needing a new water heater and new furnace down the road due to their age. I will definitely have Rich and his men do the job.Excellent service at an excellent price. I would give 10 stars if possible.Don

I had a sump pump failure, and had issues with a water heater and furnace. Rich was out bright and early the next day, and had all replacement parts installed in under an hour. Everything is working great. Straight forward and honest. Im sure others out there will try to up charge in any way they can, but not Affordable Heating and Cooling. I will be using the service again, as I prepare to replace major components of my home. If you dont call Rich, you may as well sign a blank check to someone else.Update 5/26/20:Once again, Affordable Heating and Cooling came through. AC issues? Call them! They show up when they say, do the work quickly, and are just great people. Thanks to David for your fast, courteous service!

5 Stars!! Furnace wasn’t working. House was freezing this morning. Rich had 2 technicians (Rob & Dave) at my house within an hour. They explained everything to me...what wasn’t working, why, and what it should look like when it is working properly. They were pleasant, kind, respectful and helpful. They replaced a broken part and the heat was on and working within 30 minutes.Note: I looked through all the reviews. The one bad review was for an entirely different company in a different state, which is clear it was a mistake. This company is great. I’ll call them for any future needs. I highly recommend them.

A fan on the furnace went out, called at 7am was told a tech would be there by 10. Dave called a little after 9 said he was running EarlY could he come by now (absolutely). Our furnace was fixed and running before 11 am and the was with Dave having to go to pick up a part. Ours was a great experience, very happy with the service ( Dave was great very courteous and professional) we received and would recommend this company.

Two years ago, I had two well known companies tell me I needed a new air conditioner. The same companies said I should also get a new furnace. My husband was terminally ill at that time and, as you can imagine, there wasnt much I wouldnt do to keep him comfortable. I called Rich at Affordable Heating and it turned out to be the best decision of my life. He came over within hours on a holiday weekend and checked everything out. After discussing the heating/air issues with him, we got a new furnace (mice had attacked ours beyond repair.) When summer came, Rich came out and checked out the air conditioner. There was a small hole in the hose and it needed to be juiced. That was over two years ago and it has been absolutely fine ever since. I literally saved thousands by hiring his company. When Ive had to call him, he has ALWAYS come out within hours and helped me with whatever I wasnt aware of what to do. Once, he came in and just had to adjust the vents for proper air flow. At NO CHARGE to me. His group come in spring and fall and gets everything ready for the new season. This company is so reasonable, completely honest and has the best customer service I have ever seen.

I couldnt be more impressed with the work and service. Rich (the owner) came to check out my 21 year old ac unit (didnt know it was that old). I explained everything I tried, like replacing the capacitor, but that I had no luck. Rich diagnosed the problem, saw a bad contact on the compressor, put a new one on, and was finished with the job in a half hour. It was a simple fix that others might not have taken the small trouble to fix. Rich was more than happy to show me and explain everything he did through the process. For the service, info, lessons, and great price, I will definitely be using them in the future.

Just want to say Thank you to Rich Hollingsworth and his crew. We recently had a new furnace installed and they were very professional and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend their services. Rich was not a high pressure salesman, He was patient and kind while we were deciding on what we needed, he made the decision easier by explaining each detail of the system we chose. Rich walked us through all the steps they did during installation and showed us the parts of the furnace we needed to know most about. He made sure we clearly understood how to use everything. Same day service to fix our AC. Reasonable price and friendly service. Highly recommendUpdate 3/2/19Probably some of the most professional and helpful people around! Owner came out within an hour of calling to assess the situation. Unfortunately our ancient (by furnace standards) furnace kicked the bucket, but Rich had us quickly set up for an install. They came first thing in the morning and worked until it was done. It no longer sounds like we have a small plane taking off in the basement! And we have heat!!

Determined what the problem was and fixed it..Tech was knowledgeable , and explained what the issue was, , answered questions honestly. Our furnace died last month. It was a sad death made sadder by the fact of how much a new one costs.. We interviewed literally everyone. Looking at equipment, cost, maintenance & service. Hands down, Affordable Heating and Cooling LLC was our choice and it turned out to be amazing. They installed it on a Sunday!!!! My husband Denis is in poor health and the cold would have been very bad for him. They said they understood, no problem. They were also the most reasonable AND had all the paperwork filled out with receipts attached to submit to NIPSCO for a rebate. They hauled all the debris away and cleaned up perfectly after themselves.

My furnace stopped working during the evening, on the coldest day of the year. I called Affordable Heating and Repair and they came out with-in the hour of my call. Rich went above and beyond to get the unit up and running. He made a second trip, and installed a separate drain line for the humidifier, at no additional cost. A couple hours after he left, he followed back up with me and made sure everything was working and there were no other issues. All I can say is wow what great customer service, professional and highly recommend!

We sent an email asking for an estimate on a Sunday morning and rich called us first thing in the morning and showed up later that day to do the estimate right on time. Rich took the time to ask questions to understand what our needs were and what the best options were for us. He did an in depth inspection of our heating and air conditioning and didnt try to push anything on us that we didnt need. He is very trust worthy and knowledgeable about heating and cooling. If there is a cost effective solution to your heating and air problems he will let you know about it. After we got 2 other estimates which were much higher than Rich We make the decision to go with the best. He came out on time did a great installation everything was cleaned up. He also followed multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. We will never go to anyone else.
