DJ did an outstanding job troubleshooting and fixing my furnace. He knew right away what was wrong with it. He provided me with details on the condition of the furnace and gave me some options and explained it to me so I could understand it. He even gave me some recommendations on placement of monitors in the house. He is very professional, personable and patient. Refreshing to have someone work on equipment that knows what they are doing. Great job! Highly recommend this company.

Our technician did a really good job. He introduced him self when he arrived. I explained what we already had done and showed him what was going on. It seemed like once that was done he knew right what was going on. Did some test, explained what he was doing and what it meant. He then told me what was wrong and the coat to fix it. Was very reasonable price and had the part to fix it. Finished putting stuff back together and stayed for a while to make sure the problem was fixed. All in all great job

Jacob did a fantastic job getting our hot water heater back up and running. He spent a great amount of time explaining to my husband the situation for the difficulty of just anyone re-lighting our particular brand of hot water heater. Paul was very knowledgeable and helpful in making decisions. He offered several options and explained well the differences in each unit offered. He frequently asked me questions about what my concerns and needs were. He also contacted Brandon for best financial options and discounts. The job was done - replaced AC and furnace- very nicely and staff were very friendly and respectful and were willingly to answer all questions and explain things well. The technician even pointed out an issue on my hot water heater install that needs to be looked at ( done by a different company). They were very good at making sure I understood everything before they left and helped fill out the paperwork to get rebate from Evergy. Their clean up was excellent. I would definitely recommend Blue Dot. They have now been back to clean air ducts and once again did a very nice job. They were friendly and answered all questions. Caleb even noticed I had a leak coming into basement ( need a new garbage disposal ). I was very glad he figured that out - I had lots of water under my sink! The only problem I have encountered with Blue Dot was in getting my ducts cleaning scheduled - that took several phone calls and Ryan was not good about calling me back in order to get it scheduled

Had my heat quit on Christmas Eve. I called Blue Dot and they said they would be here between noon and 5pm. But not to long after they called me back to let me know that Daniel would be here in 30 minutes. Daniel arrived very professional and kind. Diagnosed my problem fixed it and had my heater going. I also was able to set up a program to have my heating and air conditioning checked and maintenance. Daniel was awesome God bless the employees at Blue Dot I had heard of Blue Dot from KFGB 97.7FM thank you Blue Dot!!

Aaron was incredibly helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. I am a single mom of 3 and a first-time home buyer. My children and I have only been living in our home for less than a week when our plumbing became a very confusing issue for me. Aaron made me feel confident in any decision I made. I appreciate the time he took to understand as much as he could about what was going on with my pipes and explaining it to me in a way that didnt go over my head too much. Tech Jason and Mark were super helpful. They quickly diagnosed the issue and then explained the situation to me. Was a little pricey but most refrigerant work is. Jason provided me a quote for the work, and even though they needed to do a little more than originally thought, he stuck to the original price he quoted me. I really appreciated that. In addition to replacing my burnt out condenser cap and refilling my very low refrigerant levels, Jason and Mark gave me some maintenance tips on how to prevent future issues and they checked out my other system too. 100% good job. Jason had been out here before and i actually called in to tell them what a great job he did. So they sent him again on this call. Overall I spent more than i wanted to, but i needed it, they stuck to their price quote and they did a good job. Happy customer

Kaitlyn, from Blue Dot did a great job inspecting my main sewer line and analyzing the problems with my upstairs bathroom. The good news is the main outside line is PVC, not old clay tiles! The bad news is that the waste line in the upstairs bathroom is leaky old cast iron that needs to be replaced. Ive scheduled that repair for next Monday!......well, yesterday was Monday. Kaitlyn returned with Jacob to replace the cast iron waste line. Glad they did because there was a huge crack on the back side of the line that we could not see. Jacob was very familiar with construction of old houses and made every effort to complete this project in the least invasive manner possible. Great job, Jacob!Today is Friday - one final visit to finish things up. The delay was mine, not Blue Dots. Everything is working perfectly now. Thank you Jacob and Andrew for wrapping things up!

The technician was prompt and personable. He knew what he was doing and suggested an alternative repair that I preferred to what I had initially considered. The work had to be postponed because the shut-off valve to the house could not be located. The next day when the water was turned off he responded promptly and completed the work within a few hours. We were not charged for the second service call the next day.

Rob installed our new Navien Tankless water heater today and we couldnt be happier. He was very thoughtful in the installation and placement of all plumbing pipes. He even fixed an issue we didnt know about with our Air Conditioning drain that would make it easier to clean out for servicing later. We now have hot water in a shorter amount of time, more energy efficiency, and we no longer have to worry about running out of hot water when our entire family takes showers in the evenings. I would recommend Blue Dot and Rob (installer) to everyone needing services.

They completed the install, gave me needed instructions on the new equipment, did an excellent job of clean up - all within the time that allowed me to make my appointment. I use Blue Dot for all my plumbing, electrical, HVAC needs. My old AC unit was 30 years old and still running well, due to Blue Dots annual maintenance. I just knew that with price increases and the age of the unit, now was the time to replace it. The crew was on time, professional, courteous and answered all my questions. Had my Generac Generator annual service by Shockwave Generator and was more than pleased. The tech, Carson, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He answered multiple questions and helped me obtain the correct app for the Generac generator and get it working. He provided great service and recommended a load test once service was completed. A wire had come loose and the load test failed. He identified the problem and reattached the wire. Problem fixed and Generator performed perfectly. If he hadnt done the load test we would have been very disappointed if we then had a power outage. I cant say enough good things about Carson and will ask for him next year. We had a shower that was leaking and the handle was fused. I couldn’t get it to budge! I called Blue Dot that evening and at 8am the next day Hunter Maichel was at our door. He checked it out, explained the problem, what could be done to resolve it and within a few hours he was able to replace the whole valve and piping up to the shower head behind the shower wall without having to tear up the shower at all!. Hunter is a magician! He not only did great work but he’s also a very nice guy that made sure we understood what he needed to do prior to doing it every step of the way. I’m beyond impressed!

We have an 18 yr old ac unit DJ was here early on Saturday morning spent a few hours trying everything to get this old thing running. Tested a few things and thought it was up and running and it was. Couple hours go by it is not getting cooler so we called blue dot back and let them know we had a 5 month old that is not able to sit in the hest. Well DJ and his boss they call him big red came out as soon as they could and worked on it some more they got it running but they were honest and said its not a permanent fix we really need to get a new one so they set up a call with their sales people. Tegan, Nick and Justin answered all my questions when they were doing the Generac whole house generator install. All were very courteous and professional. They probably got tired of me watching but I was interested in the whole process. They put down large blankets to prevent garage floor from getting muddy. Justin did a great job wiring. I felt for Nick having to dig and drill out a couple of big rocks when trenching but he never gave up. You could tell they were very conscious about their work. Teague took the extra steps when trenching and then the final time raking over the trench. Just little things I noticed they were doing made me feel good about selecting Blue Dot for the install. As soon as I get my propane tank installed Teagan said he’ll come back out and hook it up and show me how everything works. I also kept in touch with Greg during the install and he was very helpful as he has been throughout this whole process. Also thanks to Sloan for keeping me updated on the timing for the install. John suggested that I’ll get a new faucet and went to the store with me and installed it right away. Caleb and Dylan did a great job. OK, can’t test the AC but I‘m sure it’s working great when I need it next year. Yes, Tegan is an excellent worker and very professional and very! personable! Very pleased with his work throughout the entire project! We discovered our Generac generator was never properly installed so we called Blue Dot and received a quote. The unit is now installed and operating safely. Edited....I have used Blue Dot for many years. From plumbing, A/C, new gas line, even bathroom remodel. I have always had great service and great people showing up to do great work. With all of the residential work I did with them, they treated me like they appreciated my loyalty. I guess I had hired them for enough work, they had added me to (I dont recall the name, the Gold membership?) a subscripition without charging me. I did know about the benifits, but did not know there was normally a fee with it. So I was taken off guard, when they called asking me to renew my membership. That is what prompted this review in the first place.EDITED pt2 -Blue Dot does care about what we think. Although I did not expect it, they did reach out to me. After talking with them, I do feel a little better about the membership/subscription thing. I am still not completely onboard with the subscription/membership idea, but I at the very least understand it much better now. After the call from them, I did upgrade my review. I do not do reviews often, and it was good to hear they cared about my thoughts.
