I just moved into my new home that was built by Martin Custom Homes and I could not be happier. Andy and Dave were both very helpful and straight forward throughout the process. The workmanship is excellent. The subcontractors were polite and professional. Most impressive is that Andy has always been accessible, informative and has gone above and beyond the contract. Most notably, he has not disappeared like other contractors do when they are fully paid. Andy is professional, personable and trustworthy. He is definitely a man of his word. I recommend Martin Custom Homes without reservation.

Martin Custom Homes built a house for us 13 years ago. We were so happy, that they just built us a new house in a different location. They are easy to work with, honest, professional, and build quality houses. They were quick to respond to questions, phone calls, and texts. They offered opinions and suggestions that we hadnt thought about to ensure that the finished product made the most of the living space, was functional, and was aesthetically appealing. I love this house (and our previous one) - we couldnt be happier!

It has been almost a year since Martin Custom Homes built our dream home. We moved in mid October as our contract stated. Working with Dave and Andrew was a real pleasure — friendly and professional contractors. Every concern and question addressed promptly; all of our ideas incorporated with some useful advices from both Dave and Andrew.Subcontractors who worked in our home were very respectful of our property - they showed great craftsmanship especially with wood finishing.The final product: a beautiful house that we are very pleased to come home to every day. It has been one year since we’ve moved in to our beautiful new custom home you made for us! We have been so happy and love it very much! We wanted to thank you for all your hard work to make it exactly what we wanted. It was a pleasure working with you and all your sub-contractors. Everyone was polite and hard working.We didn’t know what to expect when we ventured into building our own home (and we had heard some horror stories about building a new home), but we knew when we met Dave and Andrew that you were the contractors we should go with. You were down-to-Earth, helpful, and not too pushy. Along the way you gave suggestions with your expertise and considered our opinions/ideas. Our house is exactly what we wanted. The Martins are awesome. They built us a beautiful home and were very responsive and respectful at all points in the process. We continue to be in touch with them post home building process and they take great pride in the work they do. They want to make sure your family is happy and safe, what more can you ask for?

I absolutely disagree with the highly negative review of Martin Custom Homes that appears on this page. That review is inconsistent with all of the other reviews here, with the recommendations that we have had had from others before we hired Martin Custom Homes and our own experiences with Martin Custom Homes before, during and after our construction.It is important to clarify some facts about the street where the work was done. The private, far end of Tuttle road is a right of way for all residents of Tuttle Road. This right of way is approximately 3/10 of a mile long and was blacktopped almost 20 years ago. It is somewhat rutted over the entire length since a number of cars, delivery trucks, trailers with and without boats move along it every day. The road has not been repaved or sealed since it was built. Most of the properties are year round and the residents who built the road also take care of winter plowing, and trash removal since the town will not do so. The complaint against Martin Custom Homes was made by a resident at the start of Tuttle Road, the most heavily trafficked part of the road. There are 2 potholes, 1 large and 1 small, in front of that property, both within some 50 feet of the start of the road. These potholes are presumably the “damage to his property” that he spoke with Martin Custom Homes about. From that point and for the 1/10th mile until the locations where Martin Custom Homes was building our home, there are NO other potholes and the road is in fairly good, albeit rutted, condition. After the work site and past where Martin Custom Homes was working, there are 7 additional potholes and the pavement itself continues to be somewhat rutted but it is in relatively poor condition. It is hard to see how Martin Custom Homes could be responsible for the alleged damage, since the road is in better condition where Martin Custom Homes employees would have driven and in substantially worse condition where they did not drive.Other than the single complaint noted above, we have had NO complaints from anyone concerning the construction. In fact, a number of our neighbors have hired some of the sub-contractors that worked on this site. Yet another neighbor is having a new home built by Martin Custom Homes, and everyone we have spoken with is highly complimentary of the appearance and workmanship of our home. No one has voiced any complaints to us at all. We are more than pleased with the work done by Martin Custom Homes. They were a pleasure to work with and we have no hesitancy in recommending them to everyone.

This was our first experience building a new home. It was surprisingly easy! Andrew (Martin) is very straight forward and cares about building a qualityhome. We were admittedly, very picky customers,and we were not disappointed!Andrew evaluated the lot before we purchased, which was reassuring. During the planning we met several times with the architect, and Andrew made cost saving suggestions which was great.Andrews team was truly wonderful. We cant say enough about Scott, Mike, Rob, Rich, and Bill. They took our happiness seriously! They were experienced professionals and craftmanship was excellent. They communicated well amongst themselves, as well as with us, and the subs.We were free to talk to anyone on site at anytime.The atmosphere was very open and calm.Andrew kept us updated, responded promptly to any phone calls/texts, and met with us on site as needed. If there was a choice to be made he always chose the better option. He took good care of us throughout the process!We feel we got a beautiful, high quality home, at a fair price. If we were to build again, withoutquestion, we would do it with Martin Custom Homes.Alan and Helene DeMartino
