Frank and his team showed up on time and were very thorough. I had asked for a new energy monitoring system (Inhab), arch fault updates to all possible circuit breakers, garage LED ceiling light upgrades, indoor and outdoor outlet updates and other questions. Frank and his team really had my best interests in mind while being kind and responsive. They handled my many and random “oh bye the way” concerns and comments (and I had a lot). With Rivertown Electric, you get what you pay for. Highly recommended.

We had difficulty contacting another electrician after their first visit here as we had some electrical issues with our well pump and tank, and so turned to Rivertown Electric for their help with the project. Without electricity for our well pump and tank, we were without water for a couple weeks, and have two young kids so this was a stressful time. They answered my call right away, gave uncompensated but detailed thoughts on what they believed my issue was BEFORE ever even coming out to diagnose, providing me some preliminary steps to take to troubleshoot the issue myself and to also prep the space for their visit if I couldn’t solve on my own.After following their clear direction, I had to call on them to get the job done still. I outlined with them that I was out of town on vacation when they could come and that I wouldn’t be on site but would have to trust that they would get the work done without any oversight and limited communication with me.They were punctual, good communicators who showed a lot of empathy (fit us in earlier than their normal timeline because I let them know I had a couple young kids at home), and most importantly they delivered quality work (they did what they said they would & did it thoroughly & discreetly). Outside of the long wait due to the original electrician (Speciality Services) not responding to my calls, everything within Rivertown Electric’s control was very professional and I couldn’t be happier with using them. I will use them going forward and recommend them to others.

Started using Rivertown Electric in June of this year (2023) for a multi family 96 unit senior cooperative. I have been managing this building for 16 plus years and wish I had found them back then. The owners and workers are all so great to work with. Polite, timely, clean up is awesome. They installed new lighting in our garage area and finished a whole day early and assisted members with getting cars moved out. I was so impressed with their work, I had them bid putting new service in my home and the bid was very good and the work was done quickly. Highly recommend them.

Rich is the nicest man who gave us many ideas on what we can do and needed and nailed it! The electricians were awesome like having friends install new lighting. They cared about their work and did an awesome cleanup. Rich provided the estimate soon after his visit here and within a short amount of time all work was completed. I *highly* recommend Rivertown Electric for any electrical work you need done! We live in an old St. Paul house, and they helped bring our electrical panel up to date with arc fault breakers, as well as installing a closet light fixture and switch, and a ceiling fan on the porch. Frank was friendly and communicative but never pushy, and his team was professional and worked quickly to get everything done (they were in and out in one day). This was our first time working with an electrician, so I called around a bit, but I am very happy we chose to work with Rivertown — we will definitely work with them again in the future!

The team at Rivertown Electric were wonderful to work with.I gave them a call to bid a job for me. Rich was very helpful over the phone, I am not well versed in electrical jargon so he helped walk me through exactly what I was looking for. We scheduled a time for an electrician to come out and take a look at what needed to be done.About a week later, Cole stopped out at the scheduled time. Walked me through what I was thinking, offered solutions, and agreed upon what could be done. Within a few days I was sent a detailed quote via email. It gave clear pricing, which included installation, clean up, etc.Day of installation Cole returned with an apprentice, I believe his name was Carlos. They were very diligent, professional, and knowledgeable. They were able to install outlets to my kitchen island, and were even able to discreetly place them! Finally they were able to remedy my issue of my microwave tripping. They wrapped up the project with very minimal utility interruption, maybe about 15 mins of an outlet that needed to be turned off that was attached to the Wi-Fi router, cleaned up after the job, and walked me through the work that was done and made sure answer any questions I had and was happy with the work. At time of payment Rich was called and let him know of changes to the work and Rich charged me accordingly. I am so happy with how everything turned out! I will be using them for future projects. It’s nice to use an area business that is friendly, fair, and professional! Thanks Rivertown Electric, we love our upgrades!

My house had a direct lightning strike earlier this summer that caused significant damage to the entire electrical system. Evidenced by a small electrical fire, tripped circuit breakers, damaged electrical devices and appliances.The next day Rivertown Electric identified the damages and started to replace all protective electrical safety devices required to rectify the safety of my home. They also wrote a letter explaining all recommended repairs to rectify the integrity and safety of the existing electrical system for my insurance company. Upon review by an independent adjuster the insurance company covered the entire cost.I could not be happier with the entire process thanks to the professional craftsmanship of Rivertown Electric.

When a storm brought a tree branch down, ripping the wire away and the electricity panel off my house, fortunately I called Rivertown Electric. Frank Lynch arrived that evening, restored power, explained what repairs had to be done and how the insurance claim, inspection, etc. would work. And it worked, notwithstanding repeated hitches with the insurance processing, which he patiently helped resolve. Frank knows not only his own trade, but apparently everything relevant about insurance, inspections, and Xcel Energy, too. He is more than reliable. But if I praise Rivertown Electric too highly, theyll have to be cloned to make everyone happy!

I was pleased with the techs that came to assist us, with one caveat. After taking twenty minutes out of the contracted hour, they gave us the findings and their recommendation, then then wanted to leave. We paid for the full hour, and it took some cajoling to get them to work even another 15 minutes to map out the circuits. They seemed very keen to cut and run after 20 minutes of the paid for hour rather than continue to work. I didn’t like that. Apart from that I would still rate 4 stars since the work itself was quality and not overpriced.

We had recessed lights installed in our living room and all main level fixtures updated. It turned out way better than I couldve imagined and a lot due to their recommendations during the process. From initial consult to final result they were very friendly and easy to work with. You couldnt ask for a nicer group of people. There were several occasions where I had questions when finding fixtures and Rich took both phone calls and text questions and answered very quickly. They even fit us in before the holidays to finish up one fixture that didnt get shipped in time of their initial visit. We will be recommending them and using them again this spring for another project.

The technicians were polite and professional, and the work was done well. However, the price I was billed ended up being much higher than the estimate that I was given over the phone. I know it was just an estimate, so it wasnt going to be 100% accurate, but it was off by a couple hundred dollars. I cant help but feel that I was somewhat tricked. Also, this is minor, but the technicians failed to clean up some wood shavings on the floor after they had been drilling.

Last night, after hours, I received a panicked call from a residential tenant. She had just completed a large grocery shopping, and after filling her refrigerator, the power to the refrigerator quit. I called the Rivertown Electric office and from the time of my call, to the completion of the job, it was less than 1 1/2 hours. The first time was when the heat from the baseboard electric heater in my bedroom was melting my chocolate in the kitchen...during a holiday time. Rivertown Electric replaced our old fuse style electrical panel for a new up to code breaker panel. They were able to have the work completed in the same week that we called for the quote. They were flexible and were able to work with us to find a time where the power outage would be less impactful to our normal lives. We are currently working from home due to COVID-19 so having power during the day is important to us. The team that did the install was respectful, professional, and did quality work. The inspection was set up for the very next day where the inspector found no issues at all. I would recommend Rivertown Electric and will use them in the future. Price to have the work completed was same as other companies we spoke with. I believe in fair and honest reviews and my only complaint (not even a real issue) was that the panel was not labeled 100% correctly. This was simple to correct and is not something that affects the safety or quality of the panel installation.
