I rarely leave reviews, but tonight was more than deserving. My family just installed a new thermostat and the heat would not turn off. The house was getting up into the lower 80s and we have a newborn. I called Hoffman Brothers and Nick answered the phone at first. He offered to come out first thing in the morning, but then after hearing the severity of the situation, he immediately fixed my problem. The amount of knowledge and professionalism was exceptional. This company will forever be a business. I refer to and that I will use for all of my HVAC needs thank you guys again.

Ive only used Hoffmann Brothers once before for a garbage disposal installation many, many years ago. This time we needed a new water heater. I thought they would be too expensive for us, since they are such a big name in the industry, so I called other companies first. Imagine my surprise and delight when their bid came in lower than the others we received. John R. installed a new water heater for us. He was awesome! Friendly, knowledgeable, professional, and I did not feel any pressure to buy anything I didnt ask for. He explained everything explicitly, from what was wrong, to everything that he was going to do. He showed up on time, worked hard, went above and beyond for the job, and cleaned up everything when he was finished. I was very pleased with the job he did, and the great customer service he provided throughout the job from quote to finish. I will definitely be calling Hoffmann Brothers first next time we need any of the services they offer. A+

I feel it necessary to write this review for Bobby, a Hoffman Brothers Heating and Cooling Service Professional Representative. Fortunately, my neighbor took a look at my concern before his arrival and saw the situation as an easy fix. So I declined the service. Bobby was very understandable, pleasant and most importantly, professional. I would recommend this company because getting an appointment was quick and easy. I’ve had Hoffmann Brothers come out to our house twice now. One was an electrical job and the other was plumbing. Communication from the office was excellent. The work performed was done very well and the guys doing the work were very professional. They explained everything related to pricing and the scope upfront. I will definitely be using Hoffmann Brothers in the future for any work that I need done.

Another excellent service visit from Dan and crew at Hoffmann Brothers! Dan went above and beyond to make sure all of my electrical needs were met. While waiting for a part to arrive on the actual work order item, he graciously repaired a stubborn receptaclecover that had come loose. He had installed this unit himself a while ago and was familair with how challenging it had been to install. He made quick work of it and then made sure there were no issues with the other electrical projects he and his crew had completed in the past. Hoffmann Brothers provides top notch service, from the friendly scheduling staff to the knowledgeable and customer-oriented technicians. I highly recommend them!

I would not recommend. I went without hot water in my house from 11/4-12/12. Then overcharged me on last visit and refused to refund my money. I could not even get the CEO of the company to respond to inquiry asking for assistance during the time I was without hot water. Disaster.I have used Hoffman Brothers for over 10 years. Well after receiving my review, their Manager Leo reached out to me to apologize and to refund all charges. No individual or company is perfect. When you make a mistake you own it. Hoffman owned their mistake and made it right. I will continue to use them for my appliance repairs and plumbing issues and would recommend that you give them a shot as well. Greg

Nick did a great job figuring out what was wrong with my plumbing and getting it fixed quickly and correctly. He was very professional and courteous.James and Kurt also came to fix a problem with some outlets in my garage not having power. They knew the common causes and had the electricity back on to the circuit in no time.I highly recommend Hoffman Brothers for any home service needed. Scheduling was super easy and they communicate throughout the day to let you know when their team members are available and headed to your house. They call before sending the team to make sure youre available to meet them and can delay later in the day if you are not. Very reasonable prices and knowledgeable service providers!

I have used Hoffmann for many years and was always happy, but unfortunately recently it appears they have changed. Their tech came to my home recently for a routine service on a working system, then told me that it broke coincidently while he was there and I needed to pay him to fix it. I refused and he said his manager would be in touch. I adjusted the thermostat myself and it magically started working again, and I did not get a call from the manager. I have cancelled my membership with them.Editing this from 2 stars to 4 as I received a call from them, and they apologized and addressed some of my concerns. Fingers crossed this was just a one off event for a good company.

Anthony was professional, patient and most important to me, honest! I had a lot of questions and probably needed more explanation than most to feel comfortable with my decision. Anthony patiently explained my options and did only what was necessary to resolve my issues. Definitely recommend! I am considering doing their subscription. After thinking about the cost, pretty much pays for itself if you get your heating and air serviced every year. And delivering air vents to my porch every quarter, yes please!

If you want the best, go to Hoffmann Bros. Jameson did a great job replacing a shoddy vent pipe job in our new house. Instead of getting the run around as is so common these days, Jameson was straightforward and more importantly, honest. We paid less than our quote as the demo was less, and he did a great job taking progress pics, and providing updates. The following inspection guaranteed the quality of the work and I’d be happy to do business with Hoffmann again.

Effective 3/7, Cory and 3 other A+ Installers and our salesman Daniel showed up on time this am with the new Furnace/AC unit and explained everything, walked through the removal of the old init and how the new unit would be installed and checked with me each step of the way. I have never worked with any company as well run, and with such professional, expert, customer friendly staff as I have with Hoffman Brothers. The walk through at the end coupled with them setting up the wifi thermostats and apps on our phones to change temps and schedule the system was amazing. There is nobody in St. Louis that offers this level of service. A huge thank you to Hoffman Brothers. I now have 2 hvac systems from them and I have had them do work on our house for water leaked, electrical, etc. you can’t go wrong with Hoffman Brothers!!Eff 3/3/6: Daniel Frandsen came out to our house at 6pm to discuss the replacement of our older HVAC system (we have 2 in the house), Daniel explained everything, got us amazing pricing on a new 2 ton Furnace and AC, and set up up for installation on 3/7 at 8am, …. The next day!!! Amazing service!Tom Taylor came out 2 times. Once for a plumbing issue with a leak in the ceiling, thevsecondvyme to address and install a new kitchen faucet. Both times, he reviewed and assessed everything, and identified the issues. He offered options and spent time going over everything. The first repair, he repaired the leak/pipe, and his knowledge, customer service and professional knowledge was unbelievable. He explained what we was going to do to review the problem, advised in detail on the findings and walked us through the complete repair. The second trip out months later was for a defective kitchen faucet, and again he spent time providing options, showing us the broken part and offering solutions that were doable. Both times he was amazing and his workmanship a customer service was beyond amazing. Tom is very professional, and I give Tom a 20 on a 1-10 scale. In addition to this emergency plumbing repair, and the broken kitchen faucet, Hoffman also installed our brand new HVAC system a few months earlier. I highly recommend Tom & Scott Baker!!! I highly recommend Hoffman Brothers! They are the best in St. Louis! These guys are super responsive and A++. Thank you Tom and Scott Baker!!!

We are members of their Home Protection Plan and they took our call on a Sunday and had a electrician dispatched to our house by Monday morning. The tech was prompt, professional, and had everything up and running in about 2 hours. He also did a great job explaining what after-effects we should expect and look for in the coming months. I highly recommend HB.

Joe replaced 6 2-prong outlets with 3-prong and installed a whole house surge protector to our breaker box. Using HB we know everything will be done to code. Wanted to add an update. Our AC was broken for the better part of a month. Between our home warranty service (complete waste of money) and the company they dispatched the experience was a disaster (poor work, poor customer service, multiple band aid fixes instead of a repair or replacement, etc). Ultimately that company damaged our AC beyond repair. Hoffman Brothers to the rescue. Shamin, Ross, Glenn, Jake and everyone else we dealt with was honest, fair, and professional. I was so impressed by the quality of work provided. Hoffmann Brothers responded quickly and replaced the AC unit that was damaged by the other company. It was expensive, but I believe Hoffmann Brothers worked with me to find every discount they could. I am grateful for the quality work performed. I was so impressed I cancelled my home warranty and signed up with Hoffmann Brothers repair service (they offer repairs for AC, heat, electric, plumbing and appliances). Should have gone with Hoffmann in the first place. 110% satisfied.

Anthony identified that the wiring was too short for our ceiling. We ran into a few snags and Anthony helped us throughout the entire process and guided and advocated for us. He actually called the lighting repair shop to tell them exactly what needed to happen to fix their error. He was on time, completely courteous, cleaned up, and was just a great representation of HoffmannBrothers and their values. Hoffmann Brothers has been servicing our heating and air-conditioning systems in our home, which was built in 1927, for almost 30 years. They have also installed new systems when our old ones wore out (a challenging job in an older home). We are very satisfied with Hoffmanns service and now have a service agreement with them. Todays technician, Coty, was excellent: polite, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and friendly. A routine service call, but the work was carefully done. He knows his way around these older South City homes, which often have AC systems retrofitted and squeezed into tight spaces. Hoffmann’s been keeping us cool through hot St. Louis summers for decades now.

Every point along the journey to get our HVAC system back was a great experience with this company. All of the technicians were incredibly knowledgeable in every facet of their skill. I could tell I was getting real answers to questions I had, not phony marketing lines that try and upsell features.Brian was incredible to work with on the estimate side of things because he had 15 yrs experience as a tech. There was nothing about the install or equipment that he didn’t have a firm understanding on. And, he treated me like a human being the whole time, not some commission to win or demographic to pander too. (Looking at you Jerry Kelly)They were able to get an install going the very next morning - which was actually pretty important as I live out of town from this rental property.Jon led the install and was remarkably straightforward and personable, they cleverly worked around some inclement weather, air intake regulation scenario, and a gas line hookup issue through phone calls or texts- and had the job wrapped up by the end of the day.It was no doubt a huge expense for the house, but gosh, they sure didn’t make it feel that way. I feel very confident that - between the quality of the American Standard manufacturing, the high level of skill installing it, and the reliability that this company has shown - I won’t have to think much at all about HVAC issues for the next 15-20 years. And that is worth every penny. (And it was ⅔rds the cost of the Jerry Kelly private label BS)

Really enjoyed my experience with Hoffmann Brothers, and their electrical services. I sent in an estimate request at 7am and had someone arrive at my house around 10:30a-11a, same day. I wanted a ceiling fan installed, and once agreed upon the price, the electrician was able to do all the electrical work right then and there. I did not actually get the ceiling fan installed because we dont have it yet, but I asked Mike to set up the electrical so that the main bulk of the work would be taken care of and we would install ourselves. He was able to change the switch from one to two, one for the light, one for the fan, and change the outlet to always be on so that we didnt have to turn the switch on to power it up. He also walked me through how to ensure that we were lining the wires up correctly once we purchase the fan. He said to call Hoffmann if we run into any problems. For someone to simply come out to your house is $95 so Im not too sure about the free estimates since they have to have someone come out and still charge you, and to do the work on our particular home costs $591.

Starting with calling the front office to make an appointment, to the finished job, youll understand immediately that youre dealing with a group of honest and professional people.This is not my first experience with the Hoffmann’s but my first review. My prior experience with them was in the middle of the 2018 ice storm.After lots of messages to NickDolinik Heating and Cooling I contracted with who would not even return my calls for service for three days when my system went out. I called Robert and he had a tech in my place within an hour or so and got my system back on. The Hoffmann’s came to my rescue.I talked to the tech about other concerns that he addressed clearly and didnt try to sell me on anything. I asked for a bid and he suggested I get a second opinion also. I also needed a replacement humidifier, and Doug installed one for me.I was considering replacing our HVAC system and I called Robert again. He came by on time and actually discouraged me from getting a new system telling me the system still has plenty of years to go. He had a chance to install a new system for me and he didnt prey on my concern to sell me a new system; this speaks a lot about their integrity and concern about their customers pocket book also.He said to get a new water heater though, and gave me options on whats available. He didnt try to sell me on a particular one or go with them. After checking on a few systems, I went with the one he recommended. He set up the appointment for the next day at 8:00AM.Tom, the installer was at my door at 8:00AM on the dot. Hes definitely a pro. I chatted with him throughout the whole time and he was gracious answering all my questions and concern.Not only did Tom finish the installation on time, he left the place cleaner than it was, and I am a super clean guy. I think he created a work of art in the process; see attached photos.The front office called after installation to follow up and scheduled a required city inspection for me. They called back again after inspection to follow up to make sure I was satisfied with the whole process. Their customer service is exceptional.The Hoffmann Brothers are very transparent in their dealings, and they actually encourage you to compare prices with other outfits. You pay what they quote with no surprise surcharges. No sales pressure or recommendation to change anything that’s not needed.You get the best customer service and workmanship from the Hoffmann Brothers, and I highly recommend them. I was stood up by three other smaller electrical companies that were either too busy or just didnt care about any new business.Hoffman Brothers answered the phone scheduled an appointment for the next day, Dom showed up at 7 AM, and before 8 AM our electrical issues were solved. I contacted Hoffmann Brothers on a Wednesday for a sewer line inspection and cabling on a 2 family rental unit I own. I was having water back up in the basement drain. Thursday morning John arrived on time and completed his inspection and cabling in 2 hours time. He determined that the line seriously clogged was in need of repair as I suspected.The outside vent/trap had been buried sometime in the past 125 years, so there was no other option than to do a spot repair. John knew I was just days away from the sewer line backing up into the building causing serious issues for my 2 family tenants. He called back to HQ and they scheduled the repair for the next morning (Friday).Mike and Chris arrived to the apartment at 7:30am Friday morning and wasted no time. First, they had to remove/take down a chain link fence to gain access to the yard. Next they gently removed and set aside 2 very large (5 x 5) concrete slabs which made up the outside patio, all while working around a redbud tree. After doing the initial 10 foot spot repair, they used the camera and determined there was still a crack in the last 6 feet of clay pipe leading to the cast iron from the building. It was nearly 2pm at this time Friday afternoon.Mike and Chris went above and beyond to finish the additional 6 feet of repair, replaced the concrete slabs and chain link fence by sundown Friday. They put in a 12 hour day and did an amazing job. After they seeded the yard and put down straw, you would never have known that they dug up half of the backyard that day.John, Mike and Chris were all three total professionals, courteous and detailed in their explanations as to what my issues were and how to fix them. I hope I never have to deal with a sewer line repair, but if I do, Hoffmann Brothers will get my business.My brother uses them for his rental properties and now I know why. You get what you pay for and peace of mind means everything if you want to sleep at night.Thank you Hoffmann Brothers.

We recently contacted Hoffmann Brothers to assess some issues we were having with our hot water heater. We had the distinct pleasure of having Rich Jackson as the lead plumber on the job. He arrived promptly and did a thorough inspection of the water heater, vent, and water and gas lines. He verified our suspicions that there were some possible safety/code violations with the original installation. The space limited the options in terms of tank size and changing the vent work. Rich thoroughly discussed the options and worked with us towards our goal to find the largest tank size-and one that would be eligible for a rebate. He also installed a pressure reducer on the main water line. Throughout the process, Rich was very helpful in educating us about the installations, the products, and the rationale for doing the work. He showed a high level of attention to detail in all aspects of his work and was careful to make sure the work areas were thoroughly cleaned and restored to their original condition. He also pointed out some other plumbing issues that may need attention in the future and gave us possible timelines and ballpark prices for doing the work if/when the need arises. Rich was also very friendly, courteous, and his communication was excellent. Overall, the level of service Rich provided has convinced us that Hoffmann Brothers will be our “go to” for the full array of services they offer.

Danny is friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. He did a great job cleaning out the ducts. That said, Im not confident that the dryer vent is totally clean. The duct is 18 feet long to the outside. It seemed that Danny, try as he might, (and he did try) could only get the small cleanout tube about 5 or 6 feet down the vent. The other 12 feet, who knows? No complaint about Dannys effort. However, the method does not seem to work for long dryer vents!

Our experience with Hoffman Brothers thus far has been absolutely stellar. every employee showed up on time, were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, respectful and efficient. they have done it all for us- estimates to replacements. they have an awesome upkeep type program too. our one baby qualm is they don’t have set appointment times. instead they will say “between 1 and 3” etc. though they do call you about 30 minutes before they arrive. it really isn’t even a qualm, it’s just a tad inconvenient.seriously though, could not recommend them more!simple version: very nice people and great work

We had an old hot water heater removed and a new one installed. Justin did an awesome job. He was prompt, courteous, professional and did a wonderful job at articulating how our new water heater works so we would feel comfortable performing maintenance or shutting off the tank in case of a leak or emergency. He made sure we were happy and comfortable with the work completed before he left the house. His level of service and the ease in which we could talk to him and ask questions made me confident that we chose the right company!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the Hoffmann family and coworkers I would like to thank you for a job will done got it done in a week we had cast iron pipes that was beginning to break and backing up in the basement did not know what was going on called a plumber and then we got ahold of Hoffmann Brothers and found out the problem they explained everything all the cast iron pipes had to be replaced and it is a lot of money to replace them Hoffmann has a financing options our pipes are 69 years old I never dreamed of this problem but I must say I had to get it fixed and at the end of the year and a week before Christmas we Thank the good lord for our friend for telling us about Hoffmann Brothers that come out looked at our problem and they was able to get it started the next week and got it all done and completed in a week we highly recommend this company we thank the team Christian and Levi for a great and amazing job a great team very professional and always answered our questions they were always on time each day until the job was done and had everything cleaned up so if you have Cast iron pipes you need to look into it we now have new pipes that will last for years 😀 here is a few pictures and they got this pace of rock from my basement floor thank you job well done John and Jessie Worthey
