I had an issue where my shower would only go full hot or full cold. I bought a new handle and in-wall valve, very worried about needing to cut out my tile to fix, but when Dennis came out to replace it he found I only needed to replace a small mixing valve. He even drove to a specialty parts store to buy the part and get it all done within an hour. Everything works and everyone I’ve talked to here has been very kind. Would recommend!

Anytime someone asks if I know a good plumber, I recommend Blake at Austin Area Plumbing. He has never let me down with jobs big (new construction with a grinder pump), or small (fixing gas leaks, installing toilets, repairing water heaters). Blake is personable and always explains clearly what needs to be done. Hes honest, works hard, and is fair with his billing. I cant imagine working with anyone else.

Thank you, Star! Austin Area Plumbing replaced my water heater through American Home Shield for $75. Star recommended I drain my water heater every 6 months to prevent mineral buildup from the hard water in TX which can decrease its longevity. I never knew I had to drain my water heater in TX and my home builder never told me that either. Excellent service!

Came home from a long weekend to a leaking water heater and I have no clue how to fix it. My wife went to social media and was referred to Austin Area Plumbing. I called them up and they were able to come out the following day. I did try calling the plumbers that originally worked on our house but they couldn’t come out for 2 or 3 days later. Garrett showed up from AAP the next day and was really nice and explained what he had to do, he was to replace the leaking expansion tank. I can’t express how nice Garrettt was and he also fixed the angle of the expansion tank which was hitting the wall next to the water heater.. We will definitely call AAP for future plumbing issues.

Garrett originally came out for an estimate to replace my old tank water heater with a new tankless one. He listened to my situation, answered all my questions, and consulted me on the process. Then, Garrett and Mycol came out to do the work. Both of the are professional, friendly, and are sticklers for code and neat work. I live in the Killeen area & have had several other plumbers come out to fix the spray nozzle on my kitchen sink & a slow leak, but kept being told they didnt see a leak & that the nozzle couldnt be fixed. Star w/Austin Area Plumbing assessed the issue quickly & replaced the the entire faucet & spray nozzle. Its so nice being able to rinse my sink again w/a nozzle! Im not sure why the other plumbing company didnt offer the same, but it seems the plumbers around here dont want to be bothered w/smaller jobs. Star also referred us to a company that could help w/the cultured marble issue in our bathroom. I will definitely use Austin Area plumbing again!

He is a master plumber and he and his crew did an outstanding job on a recent replacement of cast iron drain pipes under our concrete slab. This was a major job and required coordination with the foundation/tunneling company which he did. Dennis did what he said he would do, was always on time, and kept me informed throughout the process. He was also adaptable to additional requests I made mid-job to replace kitchen plumbing above the slab and replacing a drain cleanout. Prices were very reasonable and no surprises on the final bill. We had multiple toilets suddenly back up and begin to overflow sewage into our house as we were going to bed and we called our home warranty company right away. Star came out the next morning and immediately got to work. He went well above and beyond what most people would have done to get the work done and was so patient and helpful throughout the entire process. I was without hot water for 50 days until today thanks to Austin Area Plumbing. When my hot water heater stopped working on July 15th, I filed a claim through my home warranty company that sent out another plumbing service. The incompetence of that plumber left us without hot water for seven weeks. Thats when Star from Austin Area Plumbing came to the rescue. He did a deep dive into the two tankless units, was patient, discovered the issue, and fixed us up. So incredibly thankful for Austin Area Plumbing for their speed, honesty, knowledge, and ease to work with.

I just had a new Rinnai RSC 199 exterior water tank installed by Austin Area Plumbing and their crew consisting of Mycol, Star and Mikey.Our existing traditional tanked water heater just started leaking, so we knew we needed a replacement as soon as possible. My wife called up Austin Area Plumbing and got us scheduled for an evaluation the same day.After checking it out, the crew came back the next day and got everything installed.There was a supply house SNAFU so they had to come later than scheduled but they also stayed pretty late (9PM!) to get everything installed that same day. This was awesome for us because we have a bottle fed baby and the lack of hot water made cleaning bottles and the like pretty frustrating.Everyone was polite and professional and the installation looks solid. The quality was definitely to a higher standard than what the original builders plumber achieved.All new pipes were insulated both indoors and outdoors and hard line copper pipe was used where the connection to the water heater was made; no flexible copper pipes (which were used by whoever installed the original water heater). This saves us heating and cooling $$$.We required a new gas line to feed the water heater and that was also done professionally and neatly. The new pipe was primered / painted to protect it from rust and properly grounded.Although as plumbers they dont repair drywall, the cuts they made in the wall to run the water lines were neat and avoided excessive damage, cutting open only what they needed, so repairing it wont be annoying. Nail plates were installed as required by code / common sense.They also took down the no longer necessary vents in the garage (except on the roof; they arent roofers) and offered some advice on how to seal it.Id definitely use them in the future.

Late on a Friday night my daughter called and said her electric water heater had a smell like plastic burning. I told her to turn it off at the breaker. Later she said the water heater had water spewing out of the top for a while. The next morning I called Austin Area Plumbing and told the lady who answered the phone that the unit was at least 15 years old and needed to be replaced. Also I wanted it to be checked because the inlet and outlet pipes were still hot to the touch. She was able to schedule a plumber to come out that day. Mycol arrived shortly after noon. I told him that if available I wanted a replacement unit with a long warranty, a drain pan, and an expansion tank. A unit was available, and Mycol gave me an estimate for the complete project. The work was completed that day at the price quoted. Mycol did an excellent and very professional job.

His absolute dedication to his craft and attention to detail quite possibly saved our home as it was discovered that our new house had an undisclosed 5+ gas leaks. What was originally supposed to be a 1 week tunneling job to fix a belly in our sewer line and install a new tankless water heater turned into a 6 week ordeal as more and more shoddy gas work was discovered in the house (amongst other things). I absolutely recommend Austin Area Plumbing. Their certified Journeyman Plumber Mycol F, aided by his apprentice Mikey L.J., replaced two toilets in our house. On scheduled day, Mycol discovered right away that I had purchased toilets which would require structural changes and far more expense. Mycol helped me identify which toilets that would fit, saved me money on the toilet cost and came back next day to install new replacement toilets. Another complication: Our tile floor was not level. Mycol with assistant Mikey seated the toilet on a level plane, using shims.We are absolutely satisfied and would recommend Austin Area Plumbing without reservation. Austin Area Plumbing only advertises by word of mouth, so they are much more affordable than big chains or those companies that advertise. I would most definitely hire them again!
