I cant say enough good things about this company! Our warranty picked them for us to deal with a leaking shower valve. The warranty company wanted them to find replacement parts, but JF advocated for a complete replacement and won that battle. The techs drove an hour and a half to Williamsburg and worked from 5:30-8 pm to get the job done. They were polite, professional, and took time to educate us on what they were doing. Highly, highly recommend!

Everyone worked as a team and got the job done being professional and going above and beyond to make sure our needs were met and exceeded expectations doing so . Great company! I had them come out on two seperate occasions, once for a clogged line and a second time for water heater installation. In both instances they were very helpful and professional getting the job done quickly and answering any questions I had. The pricing was very reasonable for the jobs preformed and I would definitely recommend them to anyone seeking a plumber.

Sharon was great! I was having an issue with my warranty company and she was on the phone with them just as I was to try to get hot water restored to my home. I would highly recommend them to anyone. From what I have seen, they will go above and beyond to satisfy, even if its a warranty claim.

Just finished talking with Lee after he masterfully handleda plumbing issue that Ive had such a hard time getting fixed. This was the third plumbing company I had out for this issue. Lee and his team were by far the most courteous, professional, and punctual. I received a call within the hour of them getting the job from the home warranty company, I was given a 7-12 window but was told they were going to be here by 9. At 9, Lee showed up and got to work. Now my issue is solved and Lee was kind enough to make sure I understood the issue and how it was going to be fixed. Can not say enough about these guys. If you have an issue and need it taken care of at a fair price these are your guys!!

I had a great experience with J.F. Whitlow Jr. and Sons for their plumbing service. They were sent to us through our home warranty company (after a failed service call from another company). The ladies who answered the phone were quick, kind and knowledgeable. They had great customer service. The technician they sent out was Lee. He was knowledgeable and thorough and was able to give us full details on the problem we were having with our main line. We are having them back to fix the problem this week! Great service! I called Whitlow for a broken water line from the meter to the house. The line was very close to a 20 year old maple tree. The moved the line to minimize the damage to the tree. Price was better than I expected and the service exceptional. The workers were very courteous and clean up after the job well. I recommend them for your plumbing work

First I would like to thank God the Father, Jesus the Christ, and the Holy Ghost for everything because without them, nothing would work. Next, I would like to write this to say thank you to Mr. Walter from J.F Whitlow, the ladies who work in the office there, and Cinch Home Warranty Customer Service. Mr. Walter leveled the condensing unit, and helped me with the return air cleaning and pest proofing in my house even though it was not part of his regular job description. He also showed me how to take the door off the hinges and put it back on to gain access to the return air. I really appreciate his help. I also would like to give a shout out to Pastor Woolard, Woolard Mechanical, on Newtown Road in Virginia Beach, VA he can fix things that others cant at reasonable prices and he teaches HVAC certification courses and I would like to give a shout out to Edwards Mechanical on Appian Avenue in Virginia Beach.

When the entire sewer system backed up in the evening, I searched the web for our area and found J F Whitlow Jr. & Sons. I placed a message o the system and was called back promptly. They offered to come right away, but we were able to stay with our daughter and scheduled them for the next day. When they appeared (on schedule), the work was done efficiently and professionally. The system was cleaned and checked thoroughly. The amount charged for the amount of time spent on our problem was excellent for this level of work. I would recommend this firm for any of your plumbing needs in the Tidewater area. (by the way, our last names are the same, but we are not related).

Had a wonderful experience with my technician Bruce he called ahead to let me know he was in route arrived on time diagnosed my heating system reviewed my options for repair and replacement discussed the cost of each option answered all my questions. I decided repair was the best option for me he was able to get the part and make the repair the same day and for a reasonable price, not the cheapest but well worth the additional cost for the prompt courteous service I received. I would highly recommend this company for their heating and air or plumbing services

We had a 27 year old water (shocking) that finally gave out and started leaking last week. Our warranty company wouldn’t cover the repair to the water heater so we contacted 2 other plumbers whose prices were RIDICULOUSLY high and they kept telling us that we would have to tear down our walls before they would fix our water heater!!! Finally we contacted JF Whitlow who came out and gave us a very reasonable price and we didn’t have to tear any walls down in to it. The plumber Christian A. was very knowledgeable and worked very hard to get our hot water back. Whenever I need a plumber in the future it will be JF Whitlow I’m calling. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!! A+ company.

I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone! We had to go through home warranty for our hot water heater to get fixed, and the home warranty is one giant jerk around, however Michelle called them over and over again to get our situation rectified and expedited. I am hard to impress but I am IMPRESSED with her drive to continuously contact home warranty to expedite our repair. With two little ones at home, being without hot water was challenging. Our tech, Lee, was great as well and very knowledgeable. High recommend this company, as they were pleasant to work with.

I ran into a plumbing issue and the company I normally used was booked. I decided to do as we all do and look on the web for a solution. I was reading the reviews and decided to uses these guys. I did note there was a lot of great reviews and then some that looked like fake reviews from people trying to make them look bad. As a business owner I know all to well how the competition and disgruntled employees take to the web and try to tarnish a good name. So I gave them a shot and couldnt of been more pleased. Not only did I find a alternative company but made some new friends too. Thanks guys for the great work in a timely manner.

Lee, the service tech was incredibly proffessional and a fanastic help. He worked in the pouring rain late on a Friday to attempt to resolve the issue. The blockage however, was in a branch off the main line and was unable to be accessed from the front of the house. He couldve called it a night and made an appointment to come back the next week. Instead, he was willing to climb underneath the house and continue to clear it in the dark. He cleared the issue weve been dealing with, and we are thoroughly grteful for his help.

Ronnie and Lee run a great business on all their services! I had them replace a HVAC system in my home that broke after another contractor put in just 5 years prior when it died because the prior company put in too small of a tonnage unit to come in as the cheapest bid. JF Whitlow quoted and installed the correct size for less than the prior lower tonnage unit. They’ve serviced my other unit that is original and now 31 years old!!! They’ve converted TWO of my fireplaces to gas with no problems and plumbed bathroom remodels in my house. My Mom has used them for 40+years and knows head service Tech Tony as the most considerate home repair tech to ever have worked at her house. 0 problems ever. You guys get an A+ grade!!! Fair prices, solid service and trustworthy folks.
