We bought a house that had no kitchen cabinets, a completely blank slate. It has a weird layout with a lot of entrances and a random window. At some point down the road, we want to expand the space, but needed quality cabinets to get us by in the meantime. We reached out to Jamey, who we found through Facebook, and gave him the vision and the price point we needed to stay within. Jamey immediately responded and did an amazing job working through our idea. He came out, measured the space, drew up the idea while he was there, and then started working on the wood pieces. He sent pictures along the way and when it was completed, came out and installed everything. He has come back a few times to make adjustments at our request. Jamey was easy to work with and incredibly kind. We will definitely be using him for future projects!

Jamey created the most magnificent sideboard for our dining room. He is a master of his skill and my husband and I feel so fortunate to have a piece of his furniture in our home. We simply cannot wait until he creates his next masterpiece for our family !!

Portland Woodsmith was our Professional Painter for a 3-year, custom build including 2 outbuildings, exterior & interior with many custom finishes. Owner Jamey’s work is detail-oriented meeting expectations and beyond with preparation and regular cleanup. Several intricate spaces needed custom built-ins. Working with us through design (a cpl samples below) he produced 3-D images, templated, built, installed and finished each space. Additionally, we had a napkin-sketched idea for a mortise & tenon coffee table with iron beams that Portland Woodsmith made a reality! It is a fine piece of furniture, built custom to our living area. A nice perk: Owner Jamey met at the lumber mill factory to help personally choose our solid wood species and individual pieces of hardwood. We love it and are having another designed and built!Never disappointed, we highly recommend Portland Woodsmith.

Jayme did an amazing job transforming our unusable space into a fully functioning closet! We had zero closet space in our bedroom (being a cape style) and Jayme went above & beyond. He came several times to measure, designed a custom layout, built everything with solid plywood. He is clean, responsive, professional and all around good person to work with/talk to.He keeps everything very neat, this closet was being built in our bedroom while we had a newborn and everyday the space was left cleaner than when he started.Will definitely use his craftsmanship again & already have a list of ideas for more projects!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We are delighted with the end product of our closet basement bar! The entire process was thoroughly professional and stress free. Jamey is very meticulous and always left our home clean and tidy at the end of each day. He had wonderful suggestions and cared about the project as if it were his own. Jamey has painted for us, as well and did a really nice job. We recommend him without hesitation!
