We recently completed an exterior painting project with Pacific Coat Painting on one of our rental homes in Portland. We live out of state, and Pacific Coat made the entire experience easy.The foreman, Kyle, and his paint crew did a fantastic job and finished a few days ahead of schedule. Their attention to detail and communication, via text and photos, was very helpful. My husband was on site for the final walk-through and was thrilled with the results. We highly recommend Pacific Coat.

Just wrapping up an exterior paint of our home with Pacific Coat. Everything about the experience has been great. I started the bid collection process last summer, but Pacific Coat was prompt, knowledgeable and came in at a reasonable price so they got the project. I signed the contract over the winter and as soon as the weather started to clear this spring, their carpentry team came out to address any surfaces that needed repair or replacement. Soon after, the paint crew got to work with meticulous masking, surface prep and painting. Weve got a somewhat unusual modern house that was built in the late 70s, but the crew (led by Austin, whos awesome) understood what we were after and did a fantastic job with excellent communications throughout.Ill definitely be recommending Pacific Coat to friends.

First I want to say my house was in terrible shape, lots of peeling, bare paint and paint bubbles. Underneath what paint there was, lead paint. The house is a 37 Tudor w/ brick first floor, most of the painting needed was on the siding and trim on the second floor.After agreeing to the bid I decided to add trim work on the 1st floor so it would all be completed at the same time. Over the course of the job I added even more work, after seeing what a great job Rodrigo and his crew were doing.At every step Josh was very easy to reach and willing to extend the work scope while keeping pricing very reasonable. Rodrigo and his crew were top notch, taking care not to destroy landscaping and keeping the work site clean after work every day. This and they took time to talk about and give answers for any questions I had.The house now looks great! Have received positive comments from neighbors and folks just walking by. Most important I think it looks great, and the experience was great. I definitely chose the right company for the job, and give my highest recommendation if you are looking for a painting contractor to make your house like someone cares about it.

We had wildly varying quotes to paint the exterior of our house from other companies and we knew that we needed some carpentry done. Instead of being told not to worry about it, we received a separate quote from Pacific Coats carpentry division. Both the quote for paint and carpentry were reasonable and very detailed so we knew what we would be getting.The work was done quickly and with expertise. the crew lead, Rodrigo, patently answered all of my questions and took time to make sure everything was done right! He and his team were great and so efficient.

My husband and I have been working on restoring our 100-year old farmhouse for some years, and recently hired Pacific Coat Painting to paint the exterior. We chose Pacific Coat because of their great reviews and because their estimate was also the lowest we received. We know that old houses like ours can be a real challenge to paint, but Cade and his team made it look easy. They were always on time, very pleasant and professional, and the quality of their work, their incredible attention to detail, was just amazing. We could not be more pleased with the results - our old house finally looks like we dreamed it could! I can honestly say that we enjoyed getting to know Cade and his team, and we are very grateful for all their hard work and for making what I feared would be a stressful process surprisingly pleasant.

Kyle and his team did excellent work, were respectful and patient with our busy household, and so kind. They did excellent work on our 1908 farmhouse that desperately needed repainting. When the team found dry rot, the got me a quote and repaired it quickly. I can’t speak highly enough.

The estimate we received was extremely reasonable and we were soon handed over to Josh for scheduling who very promptly helped us get everything setup for our interior painting service. Kyle then visited our home to do a walk-through to ensure he had all of the information needed for the job. He was incredibly friendly and helpful as we discussed the details of the project. Cade and his crew did an excellent job painting our 115-year-old Craftsman! It was a challenging job with lots of difficult access, uncooperative weather, and old failing paint to scrape off. They scraped, caught, and vacuumed up every little chip of the loose stuff and tackled the painting with determination, skill, and speed. Great communication and clarification throughout prevented any mistakes. We feel we got a great value and beautiful result!

I would highly recommend Pacific Coat Painting! We wanted to do some interior painting across our entire home, including ceilings, walls, and trim. I reached out to four different companies for quotes, and was impressed by Pacific Coat’s customer service, reputation, and competitive pricing. We first met with Josh for the quote. He spent about an hour in our home, walking from room to room to understand what we wanted done, providing his opinion, and answering all of my questions. I felt like he was really taking the time to look at each room and evaluate its needs. He promptly sent a detailed quote later that day. I appreciated the level of detail in the quote about what was included/not included in each room, what potential add-ons there could be, etc. (and other quotes I received from other companies did not have this level of detail). I then sent him a list of additional questions (a long list!) and he was thorough and prompt in making sure I had all my questions answered. The customer service and level of detail was wonderful, and at no point did I feel pressured to move forward. I was also interested in working with a color consultant, and he shared a recommendation with me.Once we sent in our deposit and had our job scheduled, he introduced me to our paint lead, Kyle. Kyle and the rest of the painting team were amazing! Kyle set-up a time to come by and do another walk through of our home before painting began, and again took the time to answer all of my questions. I decided last minute to change some paint colors, and he was flexible with that change. The job started on time, and he and his team arrived promptly every day and he provided a great summary of progress/next steps at the end of every day. My husband and I work from home and that took coordination on Kyle’s part to make sure that we were all able to be in the house together (and had access to a bathroom)! Kyle and his team were great – skilled, professional, friendly, and just kind and lovely people to have in your home for this type of detailed job. They made sure spaces were cleaned and organized before leaving for the day, and were flexible when things came up (like needing some extra time in our bathroom to do a deeper cleaning of the walls before paint went on). We were thrilled with the paint job itself and couldn’t believe what a difference it made to our home. Our final invoice was exactly what we discussed/expected. I would absolutely use Pacific Coat Painting again and appreciate Josh, Kyle, and their team so much!

We had Pacific Coat paint the exterior of our house after we saw them paint our neighbors house down the street and we were incredibly happy with our experience. Austin was great to work with both in quality of work and communication. He was very thoughtful in regards to letting us know when the team would be here, being mindful of our space and relaying key information in regards to details and care once they had left. They took extra time washing the house as we have old windows that arent sealed too well and Austin went above and beyond on his last visit to tackle the finer details around the front doorframe/porch and even do an extra coat on a weathered area that needed it. I just cant say enough good things about Pacific Coat Painting. Being new to the area I didnt have anyone to ask for a recommendation, but I neednt have worries. From start to finish they were a class act.I called for an estimate and received a call back within the hour from Josh, the owner (even on a Friday afternoon!) I am pretty particular and asked a lot of questions, he patiently answered them all.I was scheduled an estimate with Adam, who was very personable and knowledgeable. He had great advice on color schemes and by the time he left I knew they were the company to go with. I did my due diligence and got 2 other quotes but there was really no comparison.Brad and his crew did the prep and painting and were polite and very careful about keeping everything clean. They did a beautiful job and it doesnt even look like the same house!I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Pacific Coat to anyone, and in fact my neighbor just got an estimate after hearing about our experience and seeing the results. Its rare to find a reliable and professional company these days, but these guys are the real deal.

Austin and his crew just finished painting the outside of our house. What a pleasure to have such a friendly and professional crew here for a week. They were very conscientious and meticulous in their work, even pointing out to me places where they were going to back and add some more caulking or more paint -- places I would never have noticed without Austin pointing them out. They also did a great job protecting the vegetation around the house and putting trellises back up. Id definitely use them again.In December, Luis and his wife painted our interior. They started a bit later than planned a month or two prior. We had a deadline where we needed them to be done by the time our college-aged kids came back home for the holidays. They worked on the weekend to make sure the job was done on time. Despite the long hours, Luis always had a smile on his face and didnt rush when the details mattered.All in all, I highly recommend Pacific Coat Painting to others.

The team was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish! Adam made the estimate process simple and the written estimate clear and concise. We worked Josh as the overall project manager leading up to the painting being done. He was always very responsive and answered all of our questions thoroughly and in a timely manner. We had their carpenter Matt address some issues with siding and he also built a door for our gate. He completed the work quickly and the quality was great. We were originally attracted to Pacific Coast Painting because we were looking for a company that could do both carpentry repairs and painting, which was difficult to find. We loved that they were a one stop shop. The estimation done by Adam was timely, fair and he was very friendly. The carpenter, Matt did a great job and was even able to do some extra projects we requested. The paint job was done by Anthony and his team and they were very professional. Hired to paint exterior of my early 20th century home. They were responsive and timely with bid, price was competitive with other contractors. They were flexible on timing and waiting on other contractors I hired to perform other exterior work (gutters, etc). The work crew arrived at 8AM each day and cleaned up and departed at 5PM. The work began and ended in a continuous block of time. Very good communication for scheduling and daily progress reports. A lot of effort was put in the preparation and painting, key to a long lasting paint job. No paint messes, spills, a very clean worksite. All items were painted as we discussed (trim details, doors, colors, sheen, brand, etc). My wife and I are very happy with the work performed and results. I would recommend them.

From start to finish, working with Pacific Coast Painting was a professional, efficient and impressive experience. The final product is beautiful, beyond our highest expectations. We are thrilled with the entire team and will 100% recommend them and use them again!The owner was very responsive to our inquiry and able to flexibly schedule us in a very reasonable time frame. The initial walk through revealed some siding, door and gutter repairs that needed to be done before painting could begin, and we were fortunate that the company has a very skilled team that could complete the repairs quickly and affordably - so much easier than trying to track down a handyman. Throughout the entire painting process, the painting team communicated very well with us and with each other, and was accessible whenever we had questions. They worked consistently, spending some very long days attentive to every detail and making sure to let us know how things were going and what to expect the following day. They cleaned up everything each evening, leaving our house and yard spotless. And they were extremely pleasant to have around. As I said at the beginning, the final product is absolutely beautiful and we are thrilled. We cant wait to have them come back when we decide to paint our interior!

If youre looking for a professional, high quality interior paint job, look no further than Pacific Coat Painting. Ive used other painting companies around Portland for interior and exterior painting jobs over the years, but none of them come close to the quality and care of the painters at Pacific Coat. We had the pleasure of having Kyle and Sam as our painters for this project -- they were so respectful of our home and went to great lengths to ensure that our new carpet didnt get damaged our soiled during the painting process, despite the heavy rains we experienced during the duration of the project. On top of that, they were extremely communicative and kept us up to date on all the pertinent details, and ensured that this project got done in a timely manner. I cant speak higher of the job Kyle and Sam did here. We will definitely be requesting their services again in the future!

We had a fantastic experience with them painting the inside of our home. Price was excellent. Josh had incredible customer service and arrived early every day. His crew was trustworthy and the attention to detail was impeccable, as they took their time to do it right. The entire crew was very professional, friendly, and customer oriented. We never heard any inappropriate behaviors that are common with contractors. I honestly can’t recommend this company and crew enough. Best experience we’ve had with contractors, and we’ve had several. I just wished they did sprinklers, electrical, and remodels. I’d hire them for everything if I could.

His foreman Alex was excellent in his over-watch and supervision of the project and his 4-person team, including attention to so many important details of the job that makes for the high quality of work. He was also went back over to do a final fine finish of the job. It looks great! Josh and his team exude courtesy and a pleasant manner at all times, which made for a very pleasant and comfortable relationship for me. You can be sure I will be using Pacific Coat Painting again, and I remain delighted to recommend them highly to others. Aug. 19, 2020. We are really impressed and happy with Pacific Coat Painting. We lined them up to repaint our house a few months ago, and they have just finished (August 2017). The crew (Thom and his great team) knows what theyre doing, are very professional and friendly and did as good a job we could have asked for with our 1922 house. Their estimate was at about mid-level compared to 3 other bids we got, actually on the low side, and I think they offer excellent value. Good communication, too. Absolutely recommended!

We chose Pacific Coat Painting to do a facelift on our 1950s SW Portland home based on reviews and we were not disappointed! We received a very professional and prompt initial bid from Kevin. After attempting to obtain other bids from other recommended painting companies (one who called us after looking at our house on Google earth to give us a bid which was sever thousand dollars more than Pacific Coat!!) and terrible communication with other companies, we felt very comfortable with choosing Pacific Coat.Our painting crew (Kyle and Denny) was superb! Their communication and promptness were greatly appreciated after dealing with less than stellar communication with the company that we selected to replace our roof. Aside from being just really nice guys, they gave us honest opinions on our selected color and paint brand selection. We went with a really dramatic dark color on our house and were advised to shell out the extra money for Benjamin Moore paint and the actual color that we selected instead of getting it matched by another paint brand. We are really happy we did and are so pleased with the results!Kyle and Denny prepped (scraped and power washed) and painted in three days and then came back for one additional day for the detail work and doors. The attention to detail was impeccable and we really appreciated being able to walk through the finished job to make sure we were happy. From what I gather, all of their crews are employees instead of being sub-contractors. I feel that this does make a difference in the quality of work.Such a great experience with this company and we couldn’t be happier with the finished result!

My house turned out surprisingly excellent for being done at the end of October. They found a way to work around the weather. Took understandably longer but it looks great. Im a perfectionist and rarely has a contractor meet my standards. Anthony and his crew were really great. Communication was up front, they followed through on any concerns, did a meticulous job with the lead paint remediation, worked with me on changes for cost control and were overall nice guys. We have actually spotted 2 people taking pictures, which I well go ahead and take as a compliment.

Our historic house is on a complicated site in dense NW. Josh communicated well with us AND well with our neighbors, which was extremely important. Josh is a gifted leader and expert at his craft; his hardworking crew exuded happiness and respect for each other, which is always pleasant; Adam (our estimator) was always pleasant and responsive; and all of them -- Adam, Josh and crew -- were flexible and supportive when I made a midpoint change to the body color. (Ah, well!) The outcome is beautiful, and was beautifully done. My husband and I were very happy with the work, their teams professionalism and working style, and the walk-around that Josh led -- with the entire crew -- at the completion of the job. Bid was very similar to a second bid from another high-quality company--though Pacific Coat might consider adding window washing and a warranty, which the other company did.

I had gotten other bids and PCP assessed out project and came through with what we wanted at a competitive price. He gave us a timeline and stuck to it.At one point we had a communication mix up and I would have dinged them a star. But Adam and his paint crew responded with professionalism, and communication was quick and responsive. They take the time to understand their client and work hard to meet their expectations. I couldnt be more pleased with the 2 jobs Pacific Coat paint did for me. I first had them paint my house and shop; they put 5 guys on it for 4 days and it looks awesome. Their estimator Kevin was out within 2 days, he had a quote on the spot and went over it with me. Adam, the crew chief, is probably the most attentive contractor youll ever experience. Josh, the owner, showed up at the end of the project and did a personal inspection. No paint drips anywhere, no damage to the plants, simply a job well done. And they were less expensive by 15% over the other quote I got.I then put them up to the challenge of staining my house at the coast, as I couldnt get anyone out there to even respond to a call. Guess what? Adam went out on his own time, on a Sunday, gave me a quote, and a short time later they drove out and did the job in 2 days flat. Amazing. I would welcome a referral any time.

You need look no further than Pacific Coat Painting for any exterior painting needs. From the start we knew we would be in good hands when Adam came and talked to us about the work that needed to be done. Our home was covered in lead based paint so these guys had to use haz-mat suits and remove all the loose paint pieces from each shingle - this was NOT easy work and they took their time and did all the prep work amazingly. This home was NOT easy to paint and they did an outstanding job. Their attention to detail was great - this house has never looked better. Huge thanks to Josh (the foreman) as well as Nate, Hunter, and Alex for doing such an outstanding job. These guys really did treat our house as if it was their own. Lastly, we had a number of other companies bid the work that needed to be done - their bid was very fair for the level of expertise they brought to the job.

I purchased my Mt. Tabor home in 2001. This summer it really needed to be painted. I spent hours looking at houses for ideas. I got different bids. I looked at websites, ratings and portfolios. In the end I decided to trust Pacific Coat with the job. Their price was not the lowest but not the highest. Adam was my go-to guy. He told me that they stand behind their work, AND that it holds up for many years. I chose the color scheme and Adam helped me dial in the shades. Todd was the foreman for the job. It was obvious that he was very experienced. I also asked Todd to sand and stain my hardwood deck, which he did personally. My occupation requires me to travel. I left on a Monday, the day they started the job. When I got home Thursday evening, I was amazed. They still had another day for final touches, but my newly painted home looked spectacular. I will say that the house was probably quite a challenge...being very old with plaster walls and lots of cracks. Pacific Coat was able to bring in a dry wall expert at a VERY reasonable price to make sure there were no cracks in the finished product...the results were outstanding! Really just a joy to work with craftsmen such as these...a special thanks to Evan who made a special trip back to the house even after the final inspection to correct a few very small issues. Adam was our first contact and was extremely helpful and flexible coordinating our project. Brad was the lead painter on the job and was on time every day he and his team were here to work. He did great providing direction to his crew and even modified the order he would have painted the rooms based on our need to have carpet installers come in before they had completed. The previous owner had painted and left wall paint on the white ceilings so Brad found the correct white paint and painted over it so that the ceiling lines he left would look great. I cannot be happier with the work these guys have done on my house. Adam, Josh, and Kyles crew were top notch the entire process. Extremely patient with my constant questions, flexible with my budget concerns, and an absolute passion for high quality work. I have a 1920s craftsman Portland home that needed some serious love - there was peeling paint, the siding was uneven from multiple layers of paint, and worst of all I had storms that were stubbornly attached to the windows. Kyles crew diligently worked around the rainy month of April, first by carefully removing the storm windows and storing them, then scraping decades of paint layers to get a surprisingly more even look to the siding. They remained in constant communication with me through the process - the resulting paint job is jaw droppingly gorgeous. I knew this house had potential; Pacific Coat Painting did awesome work.I highly recommend giving them a call. These are local guys who care about quality work.

I highly recommend Pacific Coat Painting. Unfortunately, I had to fire my previous painting contractor this spring because of poor work quality and poor communication. I was left in the lurch and my painting job was small (just the south side of our house) and painting season was in full swing. I knew about Pacific Coat because of the excellent job they did on our neighbor’s house a few years ago. I met with Adam who gave me a competitive estimate and committed to trying to fit in our small job in about a month. We caught a lucky break; they actually got to our project within a few weeks, sooner than anticipated. Anthony and his crew did an excellent job on the painting, including matching the existing paint color and finishing paint and trim in less than a week. Anthony also provided excellent communication on the project status. And what is the highest compliment you can provide a business? Be a return customer. We’re having Pacific Coat paint the rest of our house early next year. I recommend Pacific Coat Painting because of their responsiveness, excellent communication, great quality work, and competitive pricing.

We hired Pacific Coat Painting for a full interior paint project of our home. Josh and Kevin provided the estimate. I found them to be professional, honest and knowledgeable. We had another Josh who was the Foreman. Josh and his crew were respectful, hardworking and did a fantastic job! They went above and beyond and even fixed some damage to our walls that another company caused. Since we were out of the home, he texted updates at the end of the day which I appreciated. Finished our house up exactly on schedule and it looks fabulous. Very careful with our plantings, neighbors, etc. I chose them strictly off of online reviews which had me a little nervous, as I typically like a referral from a friend, but I have absolutely no regrets.

Adam came out and walked through the project with me, on time, super prompt and asked great questions. Once we decided to move forward, we had a team assigned (Josh) - he and I texted about coordinating, weather, etc. We had a window starting on a Sunday, Josh texted me and said theyd be out on Sunday at 11 AM to start. The team arrived early and they swarmed the house from a prep standpoint and then for the next couple of days - this team just got after it.Josh was great about checking in, verifying, etc. in projects like this, Im all for open lines of communication because I think it just makes the project go so much smoother.We LOVE the work they did, and I cant speak enough to their hard work and professionalism.Thanks Adam, Josh & team!TL;DR: If you want great painters, just hire this company to paint your house!

We hired Pacific Coat to paint the exterior of our 1929 bungalow in N. Portland. After getting 4 different bids, they were the most reasonable, with the best reviews. We planned it for the summer, although we booked in the winter. We just had to wait for a good bit of weather, and they were very accommodating. Josh was easy to work with and very good with communication re the job, colors, etc. His foreman, Thom, was also great and they worked through a week to get the house done. We were out of town while they did it, and it was fine to leave them to work while we were gone. One of the best things about them is that bc they are a smaller company, they do one project at a time, so when they work on your house, you are at the only one they are working on. I will use them again if we need more paining done.

Pacific Coat Painting just finished painting our house! We have had our inner NE Portland home painted a half dozen times. This is by FAR, our best painting experience. Thanks Guys!Adam the estimator, made us feel comfortable from the start. He was early to our initial consultation and sent the bid over the same day. Once we hired Pacific Coat Painting, The foreman, Kyle called us for a pre job walk thru. He made a special trip to answer any questions and assess the jobsite. He asked convenient hours to work, what plants are important to us, along with several other specifics.When I mentioned our neighbors lead concern, he walked over and also visited with them. He assured them they were in good hands. During the job the crew put up a vertical plastic wall. He also did the prep at a convenient time for my neighbors. Wow a crew who cares!!!This really made me and my neighbors feel safe. These guys went the extra mile on every step, regardless if took extra time and materials. Our yard was clean, plants look same before arrival. Kyle even brought out cages to protect some of the fragile plants. The house is a complex 5 color scheme. Lines are crisp. Home has never looked this good.I cannot say anything else but a big thank you! This was our best construction experience. One of the crewmates Dennis even left my wife a beautiful new plant!
