He went over the options to replace or repair. He was very kind and helped me even with getting my plastic owl put up on my fence to keep the woodpeckers away. This morning Os from Bob Hamilton came to service our furnace for the winter. This is the first time Os has been our tech. When he was finished inspecting the furnace he gave me his results. He explained his findings and was very easy to understand. He found noticed our humidifier filter was the original filter and really needed to be changed. No other techs have caught this. He was professional but also very friendly and personable. We will be requesting Os for all our future needs.

Oswaldo came out this morning. He was AWESOME! He started by asking us to explain everything starting w the AC freezing up yesterday when it was over 100 degree heat index. We thought we needed free-on. However Oswaldo ran diagnostics and checked everything thoroughly. Nothing leaking nor nothing broken. Turned out we were using a filter that restricted too much air flow and caused unit to freeze up! Also, Nethia, who answered the phone during hours was very thorough, and kind and helped each time I called to make sure we were getting sent the right kind of serviceman, which was OS!!!! Os came to diagnose my gas furnace for my mobile home. He wasted no time and within 20 minutes I had a comprehensive understanding of my situation. He prioritized the safety of my family in telling me that repairing my furnace will likely exceed the cost of a new furnace as well as possibly being a hazard for gas leaks if not fully inspected for other issues; if he had replaced the main issue, then there could be other issues that pump gas into the living spaces of my home due to the age and condition of my furnace. He called ahead to help me set up a time for someone to come and give me an estimate for a new one and again made sure I understood the magnitude of the situation.

My furnace gas valve went out due to a faulty part from the manufacturer at 1:00am. I called the 24/7 Chicago help desk and they set me up with an 8:00am appointment the next day. They sent their best technician, Oswaldo (Os) Herrera Guilliod, who arrived in a timely fashion and was very professional from start to finish. He troubleshooted with the manufacturer technicians, located/coordinated the gas valve replacement all the way from Lenexa (40-minute drive), and had the part installed in a no time. Hamilton tech named Os identified a major issue with our heating system. The problem was an incorrectly installed furnace exhaust cap. This inhibited exhaust flow and limited our ability to maintain set temps. Apparently this problem has existed since the furnace was installed 10 or so years ago. That’s why we felt the system never worked exactly right. Amazingly, the company that installed the furnace never noticed this problem initially and during annual inspections. So glad we switched our maintenance contract to Hamilton and found Os! Thank you very much.
