The reason that this looks a boring picture of a toilet is because of how good James at Bright Side is. As a first time home owner, I had a lot of questions about the water damage that our toilet was causing. He was very thorough and answered everything I needed to know, as well as taught me a few things. Both he and Jennie the scheduler were flexible with their available times. They also recommended a great water remediation company (Power Dry) that helped a lot with the drying process. I had a great experience and am confident that if/when I have another plumbing issue, I will be in competent hands.

We have had a few plumbing issues in our new home. In their three visits, Bright Side has arrived within two hours of our initial call and always toward the earlier side of the arrival time window they gave - this is very rare among service providers. The third visit was for the same bathroom as an earlier visit. Bright Side did not charge for the visit today! Eric and Bradley have been prompt, courteous and professional. I recommend Bright Side without reservation!

I had the unfortunate event of needing my mainline sewer replaced. When I began calling around for estimates, I stumbled on Bright Side. They were quick with their communication and the estimate. I had someone scheduled to come out within a couple of hours. James came out and was so calm while explaining everything that I needed to have done. He was easy to ask questions and clear with his communication. He was also the one who did the sewer line replacement. He was easy to talk to, check in with, and trust with my home and yard. So glad I found Bright Side!

I had a great experience with Bright Side Plumbing. I was having trouble with my bathroom sinks not draining and an old water heater that needed replacement and James was able to come out right away and take a look. I appreciated the direct communication and explanation of what was likely causing the issues and options for how to move forward. They got me on the schedule right away and were able to fix my bathroom sink plumbing and install the new water heater all in one afternoon. Everything works great and I am so relieved to have a perfectly functioning bathroom again!

I was in the process of remodeling my basement and Eric from Bright Side came by to inspect water stains on the subfloor.He did a thorough job, and explained to me that the source of the water stains were caused by a past event. He also gave recommendations on how to resolve and correct the issue from reoccurring in the future. The company did not charge for the inspection service. I really appreciate the fact that Eric and Bright Side seem to be fair and honest by not charging for unnecessary work like some unethical places do. I plan to use them in the future!

Within a day Brad was at our house assessing what needed to be done to help fix the shower pipe breakage. He gave us a great description of the problem (calcium buildup in our pipes over the years). We decided to purchase a Halo 5 filtration system to filter all of our household water as well as fix the complicated shower situation. He spent two days working well past the dinner hour to install the new system and to replace the pipes in the shower. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and hard working. We have used Bright Side in the past and highly recommend this business!

Bright Side Plumbing is awesome! James especially!! I dont leave reviews but had to in this case. I contacted them last night (as my hot water tank was no longer working). James returned my call within the hour I believe. He was at my house this morning before 8 to give me a bid. Its now 3:15 and all the work is finished. James is very knowledgeable and explained everything to me and thankfully found a leak in another pipe. He is very kind and was not rushed with me at all. He answered all of my questions. I am so happy with the service and you can tell that James and this company really value and care for their customers; existing and brand new. Thank you again James!!

Eric was very prompt at getting to my home. Very knowledgeable in his trade. Our issue became very complicated quickly. Eric was able fix my shower drain today. He had to jack hammer concrete to get the drain fixed. Would recommend them and will use again next time I have a pimping issue.

I just had three different things done last week from Bright Side Plumbing. Specifically, my technicians name was Eric. He did a fantastic job of explaining what was going on and how he was going to fix it. There was incredibly transparent pricing - the bill was exactly what I thought it was going to be. He even found something troublesome mid-job and just fixed it at no extra expense. There is a lot about this experience I could rave about, but I think its fair to say that a company like this is such a diamond in the rough when comparing to other options in Kansas City. Great work, they came out the same day I called them and diagnosed the problem quickly. They were able to return the next day to fix everything including some extras we asked. They were a bit pricey but I dont know what the normal going rate is, so honestly that could be normal. Matt was our plumber and he is obviously very knowledgeable. Wow is all I can say. Amazed at all levels. Called after 5pm and actually spoke to a human that was able to schedule the estimate visit for the next day. When Scott (the plumber) arrived (15 mins earlier than expected) he assessed all the issues and gave us options to address the areas of need. Because we wanted to purchase a replacement product ourselves we scheduled the follow installation visit for the next day and boom Scott and Bradley arrived on time and completed the work timely and with no mess. Bright Side was amazing all the way through the process. They’ve certainly earned a customer for life from us and I will be signing their praise to anyway who will listen. Highly recommend.

Due to the length of the run of pipe, he had to go pick up a larger machine and informed me the cost was going to go up due to having to use the larger machine. After coming back, he was able to use the machine he started with and the cost went down. He was quick to provide pointers to help us avoid the problem again. Courteous, professional, clean, and timely. The price was reasonable, and my problem is solved. Ill be calling in the future for my plumbing needs.

Scott was thorough in searching for the source of the ceiling leak which we assumed was a shower leak. It wasn’t a shower leak nor did it appear to be any plumbing in the bathrooms. Although not possible to detect, he did find another possibility which we will check out. I would not hesitate to use Brightside in the future.

Some additional feedback to my initial review. I hired them for a custom project. We wanted to relocate our laundry room from the main floor to the second floor and we couldnt be happier. They met with us a few times in the planning stage. The 1st visit was to get a game plan started. The 2nd they had their owner, a master plumber, come out confirm that the plan was going to be code complaint. Theyre are thorough and talented. They bring comfort and peace of mind with all the work they do.Brightside is A+. I had 1 issue with a kitchen drain pipe leaking near my foundation. They were able to fix it with getting into the foundation or creating unnecessary plumbing. The following week, during an inspection, we discovered a 3 foot crack in our cast iron drain pipe and they were able to get it fixed next day. Theyre informative and professional. I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

We had them come out initially to replace a shower valve and when Edward was at our house he happened to notice our gas water heater that was recently installed by someone else was not vented which is a huge safety risk. We are so very grateful and lucky he noticed. The owner Kalen has helped us get everything squared away and up to code for our water heater and the gas line to it. Thomas and James helped get things fixed for us right away and it’s such a relief being able to feel confident that things were done correctly. Everyone has been professional and very helpful! He was able to use compression fittings because of wiring in the location that made soldering of copper pipes unsafe. Edward came out and gave us an estimate for the job, way less than other plumbers estimated for the job. Other companies wanted to jackhammer our slab foundation and replace the pipes underneath, not even knowing if they needed replacing or not. Edward said he would check with a camera first before suggesting any jack hammering.The day of the install, Edward arrived on time and explained what he was doing any time I had questions. He completed the work quickly and the the pipe on our slab was in good condition, not needing to be replaced. Would highly recommend!

They were great to work with. Called them to come out and check my sump pump in a house we purchased recently. They replaced the old sump pump and installed a battery backup. Its been a worry of mine since we bought the house that the sump pump will go out. Its nice knowing we have a new sump pump and a backup in case of an emergency. The job consisted of: house trap removal and lower stack repipe, a pipe burst sewer replacement, and sump pump installation. James was super thorough in his estimate and quote process, and took the time to explain everything. Once the job started, James and Brad arrived promptly, and were super respectful of our space, yard and neighbors when they had to squeeze a backhoe into our tiny back yard. Throughout the job, they kept us updated on the progress and took the time to show us important details of their execution - Brad even paused his work to show me how to change my whole house water filter! At the end of the job, Kalen even came by to check over the work himself.We felt taken care of, like there were no surprises, and they were efficient with their time!
