The GZones Review of the Black Lake Plumbing of Olympia, WA:II recently had Black Lake Plumbing come out to repair a water leak near the water meter in front of my house. This leak had been causing me hefty water bills for the past three months, and I hadn’t even realized it until a professional leak detection company helped me identify the issue. Once I knew about the problem, I contacted Black Lake Plumbing, and they were quick to respond.The team did an excellent job with the repair. They were very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional throughout the entire process. They did an excellent job and explained in detail the work performed — Ed & Tom are very knowledgeable, courteous and thorough. I appreciated their expertise and attention to detail in resolving the issue that had been causing as well as costing me so much.While they’re a bit on the pricier side, you definitely get what you pay for with Black Lake Plumbing. The only reason this is a four-star review instead of five is that they don’t offer Veterans Discounts, which would have been a nice gesture. Despite that, the quality of their work made it well worth the cost. Overall, I would highly recommend Black Lake Plumbing for anyone in need of reliable plumbing services in the Olympia area. My call was returned promptly (in less than 30 min!), they were able to fit me in the same day, and upon finding an unexpected issue with another plumbing fixture, they were able to take the time to fix that, too! Ed and Tom were fantastic. They were respectful of my home, extremely knowledgeable and even took the time to educate me on some things (Im a new homeowner). They didnt mind me asking questions which was very kind and helpful. Im so glad they were recommended to me and that my home didnt flood thanks to others negligence! Black Lake will be my go to from now on. All around excellent experience!

I had a fantastic experience with Black Lake Plumbing. There was water leak under the building in my office and they were able to fit me into their schedule the following morning after my call. They have fair and reasonable prices and theyll give a basic estimate over the phone, which I really appreciate. A few things came up on their schedule, but they were able to make it over to our place in the afternoon. This was great because if they didnt make it that day, i would have need to wait until December. Theyre friendly and courteous even after a long work day. Mark and his colleague made my wife and niece feel very comfortable. They came to put in a bathroom sink. Unfortunately, I picked up the wrong size sink. They gave me many options and where I could get a similar sink. In the end, they were able to switch out the faucet so that the sink will be usable at the very least. I am very happy with the work and appreciate all their help. I will definately call them again in the future.Sam

I had a draining issue in my main line. Black lake plumbing was able to come out same day which is nice. Brian was down to earth, knowledgeable, and very understanding of our situation as we have young kids in the house. He was able to clear the clog & give us advice on how to avoid the situation again. The price was very reasonable. Brian, in my eyes went above & beyond to make it work. If we ever have plumbing issues I will not hesitate to call them again. I called because my kitchen sink drain was leaking. They had a team at my house within 30-40 minutes which was awesome. Mark & his co-worker (sorry I dont remember his name) were both respectful of my house, friendly and even funny. They fixed my sink explaining what they were going to do before performing the work. They gave me a quote that I approved, then the fixed the sink drain. They cleaned up any mess that was made. I would definitely use them again & I would recommend them for any plumbing issues.

I had a great experience with Chris of Black Lake Plumbing. Olympia utilities indicated I had a continuous leak and Chris explained the process to track it down and scheduled an appointment. I went outside and luckily found the leak and called back Chris to describe the issue. He advised me on what needed to happen and that I should actually contact irrigation/landscaping specialists, as they would be more cost-effective than a plumber. He declined any offer of payment for his time and only asked that I keep Black Lake Plumbing in mind for my next plumbing need. It was a refreshing experience and I appreciated the honest advice. I called Black Lake Plumbing with a hot water issue. Leaking pretty steadily. Scheduled a next day inspection of the issue. Two workers showed up, discovered the problem (the tank had actually split open. I was lucky it hadnt blown completely), and even had a replacement in the truck. Less than two hours later, I had a new unit installed. This was less than 24 hours after my initial call to Chris. The cost was competitive, the two workers were very professional, and I avoided a catastrophe. I cant thank Chris and his crew enough. Black Lake Plumbing will be my first call should I need plumbing needs in the future.

EXCEPTIONAL service from start to finish! First of all, THEY ACTUALLY ANSWER THE PHONE when I called to make an appointment about my rusted, broken, 23 year old toilet flange. Then, they were actually able to send someone out to fix my problem the next day. My toilet flange was rusted through, and Sean was able to set a new horn gasket over the old, unusable flange (rather than rip out my flooring, forst floor ceiling, etc. bc said flange was attached to the pipe). (Sorry. Didnt get a picture of that!) They then installed my new toilet for me. Sean and Mark were quick, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly. Im one of those quizzer homeowners who like to learn about new things, and Sean was a very patient instructor. I learned a lot and he saved me a lot of time and money! Had a mysterious problem appear over Christmas with our downstairs toilet not flushing properly, so that any waste we sent up would come right back into the bowl. We waited a couple of weeks for the snows to go away before calling. The professionals at Black Lake Plumbing were able to come out immediately, and while they didnt find a problem now, were able to connect the dots and discover the cold weather had likely frozen a valve in the pump that was preventing the waste from being removed. No charge for the diagnostic was a great surprise and I wouldnt hesitate to call them again.

Had a good experience with Black Lake Plumbing. We noticed our water shutoff in our home wasn’t working (not during an emergency, luckily), and they were able to come the day after next in the morning and install a new one, fix our dripping faucet (our initial problem I was trying to fix), and a couple of other things they noticed that added cost, of course, but seemed worth fixing while they were there. Pricing about what I expected, about $500 for the new water shutoff and the other jobs were about $300-ish each.

I requested replacement of everything from the main cut-off valve to the pressure tank since the current system was almost 20 years old. I’ve needed Chris’ services twice now, first for a ruptured pipe in my crawl space that was leaking massive amounts of water and recently for a another leak that the PUD had alerted me to. He came out and diagnosed my current leak as being between the meter and my house so I am going through the process to have that leak located and will have Chris back to fix that leak too. For an urgent situation, they fit me right in, called were on our way en route as requested, and got right to it. Clearly skilled, they analyzed the situation, explained a remedy, explained costs up front, and got right to it efficiently. they educated me about why the problem and how the fix worked. Even took videos under the crawl space to help me understand the why; then another video to show the fix. Caught something I had missed along the way and fixed that. Tested the remedy to make sure it worked and that there were no leaks (thorough and appreciated). Bill was as promised. Did a safety procedure for dead end wiring too which gives peace of mind. THEN, when I called Chris, boss, the next day to ask a ? about it, he was happy to address that and even called his field techs to confirm before he gave me an answer. Thats quality! I just found a new plumber for me and for my other family members.

After reading the great reviews, I called Black Lake Plumbing. We had a long to-do list at our 30+ year old house with several issues we had neglected over the years - 2 toilets werent working, bathroom sink/faucets were leaking, and we needed 2 new outdoor faucets installed. They were able to come much earlier than expected. Sean and Mark were knowledgeable, friendly, honest, hard working, and best of all, thorough. I do wish I had found them years ago, it would have saved me a lot of time, money, and stress. In a matter of hours, everything that was wrong in our house was magically working again! I had an issue with a toilet that I wasnt able to resolve myself. They came out, and were very professional. Once the issue was resolved, they talked to me about potential causes and what I can do to prevent problems in the future. While they were here I had them fix a couple of showerheads that I had installed myself. I will definitely call on them again. They are very easy to work with!

We discovered a broken pipe under our house this morning around 10:30am. It was beyond our DIY capabilities so we called 3 companies, one of which we’ve used before. They couldn’t get us in until next Friday. We haven’t heard back from the second company yet. Black Lake returned our call immediately, and thought they could fit us in tomorrow which was great. An hour or so after speaking with Chris, he called back and said that they could be over around 3 today. They showed up on time and had the pipe repaired in 30 minutes. We shall be giving them future business and recommending them to everyone! Thank you Chris and Black Lake Plumbing!🐾

I cannot say enough good things about Black Lake Plumbing LLC! I called them to get a new sink and dishwasher installed. From the start they were thoughtful and professional. They are very organized and efficient. They kept me informed of what was going on through the process. They cleaned up after they were done and on top of it all they were so friendly.
