    My family and I had the privilege to work with Gabriel Schissler and team. Knowledge, professionalism and patience were all 5 stars for Gabriel. He took time to go back over things to ensure they were properly done and they even worked on Christmas eve to get the job done. This was a partial home rewire along with a few other things added in. He was extremely helpful and answered all questions we had. Thank you Gabriel and all the Black Hills Inc. team you all were fantastic and very much appreciated! Keep up the good work 👏

    Well…. I didn’t think this company would come out to serve my area. They came out from Olympia to Graham. My house was built in the 1950s and my panels were installed sideways and it’s not up to code. I found that out when my heat pump died because another company Taylor heating and electric had came out and “fixed” it on warranty but a year later it died again. I had other companies give me quotes similar priced and I was sold on this company because of Gregg from Blackhills . Gregg came out and talked with me about a system that would be good for my house. He didn’t force me into buying anything. We explored all the options and I’m glad he told me about the new side discharge heat pumps with inverters by day and night(it’s insanely quiet and efficient.) Although I was pretty apprehensive because it was made in China 🇨🇳. Justin reassured me it’ll be a great product as he has the same unit for his own house installed. I didn’t know they also do electrical panels so they did mine as well and got me setup right. Roy came out and made sure that it was something they could do and be done correctly and up to code. The install team first came out to installed the heat pump and furnace. Aaron, Michael(sorry if I spelt it wrong) and Austin are greats guys! If there are any others I apologize. They were always respectful and notified me of all things and concerns I may have had. Then Keith came out and installed the 2 panels and a 50a generator lockout for my generator with Tyler and I forgot the other guys name also great guys to work with. So far it’s the quietest heat pump I’ve ever heard! I didn’t think it was on! I’ve recommended them to my neighbors and friends and church family.     I dont usually leave reviews but since the professionalism and customer relations we exceptional I was compelled to note the experience. From start to finish the personnel we worked with went above and beyond. Gregg showed up promptly as scheduled. He walked us through our options giving informative detail and personal relations. Next day we had install of our new product. Aaron and Terran and the electrician were amazing. They all showed professionalism, respect of our property, great communication throughout the process and some fantastic conversation. We are in love with our new heating and air conditioning. We highly recommend.

    I recently had a new Air Conditioning Unit and Furnace installed by Black Hills. I was able to get an estimate quickly, even with the Christmas holiday looming. Jason came out and did a very thorough inspection and gave me a competitive price, (especially with the Big Sales that Black Hills had going on). (Although, it was still pretty expensive, but Everything is more expensive nowadays and they were cheaper than other places that I had checked).On the installation day, everyone was on time and they got straight to work. Austin was the Electrician and Colten and Jake were the Installers. They all did a Fantastic job, especially Colten and Jake , who were there all day, working Very hard on the installation.(There are surprisingly a Huge number of steps involved for installing a new furnace and air conditioner!!). Anyway, they got everything all installed correctly and it is all working perfectly so far.Black Hills also has an Excellent Warranty on their products and service, for if there are any problems in the future.Overall, I am Very Happy with Black Hills Heating & Cooling and their employees and I Highly recommend them!!

    If I could give Black Hills Inc. a 10+, I would! I called around to get quotes, but it was a given that they were the best after hearing their prices and the friendly agent explained their services. Then, it got even better when their technician, Michael Peabody, showed up. He was very friendly and professional and explained with expertise the process of the job. By the time he was through and leaving, my husband and I felt like we had gained a new friend. This company delivers 100% excellent customer service and professionalism from their whole team!

    The entire Black Hills Team provided exceptional customer service and techs were highly knowledgeable and skilled in their respective field. Everyone ensured I was kept abreast of the plan to install a new heat pump and furnace, to include, the electrical lines and modifications required for installation. Black Hills is ‘second to none. I also want to give a shoutout the Ethan and Theon for their dedication and commitment which ensured the job was completed to my satisfaction. Hooah!

    Black Hills and every one of their personnel was really great to work with. I live in a more rural area. Previous companies would only come out on certain days but Black Hills had an appointment for me in the next business day. I had an older HVAC system, Ryan came out and took a look at everything. He did his best for us to find an option to repair my HVAC and not to suggest a replacement. At the end of the day I knew the system needed replacing. They sent out Jeff the next day to tell us about the HVAC systems that we could choose from and went over each option in depth, ensuring that my wife and I were comfortable with the system we were choosing. Two days later the instal team was here. The instal team, Theron, Skyler, and Jake were extremely efficient and very professional. With the new system came Black Hills Comfort Pass. This includes multiple inspections of the HVAC throughout the year as well as electrical, plumbing, and crawlspace inspections. This company is able to provide piece of mind in all aspects of the major systems when owning a home. I truly appreciate the expertise and honesty this company provides. Thanks so much!     I have been using Black Hills for a couple of years. Scheduling is easy and communication is very good. The work has always been done completely. This last repair, the team found they were missing a part and drove 20 each way to Home Depot to get the part and finish the job rather than leaving things incomplete for the next day.

    Following water damage to the crawl space and some pesky racoons I contacted Black Hills to inspect the damage to heating ducts, the 4 separate crews doing 4 projects have been terrific. Informative and communicate well. We are VERY PLEASED with the results.Communication with staff and technicians, timeliness of arrival, polite, courteous and friendly people. Great work, thoughtfully done, the techs treated my home as though it were their own home. They cleaned up after themselves, as they progressed with the work. We are Very Impressed by their professionalism.We have had multiple appointments over the last 2 weeks and each of the technicians who has helped in any manner is truly a craftsman. Thank you!

    I tried calling around and this was the first place that said they could come same day! I had been suffering without a dryer and realized it was the ducts that needed cleaning. Price was reasonable and I got lucky they were also having a special. Virgil came out and was awesome! We didn’t even know where my dryer was venting outside. He figured it out quickly and was very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain things which I really appreciate. I would definitely recommend Black Hills and will be using them again.     I had a brand-new gas furnace installed 10/19/24. The recommendation for unit type and efficiency is already proving to be the correct model and size for my house, 2 story 2600+- sq ft. Black Hills from their sales team, to office support, to installation team is 5stars. I am not one to typically do reviews for companies, I always have the best intentions to leave one when the service provided is great, but I typically forget. However, the extra mile the installation team went is worth noting. I also have a gas water heater which was required to get turned off for my furnace installation, not only did he relight the gas pilot light, he also made sure I HAD HOT WATER! That is one of the most considerate extra mile things that makes a company great and will be getting a repeat customer. Thanks!!!

    I like leaving reviews so people know if the customer service is good or not. Let me say these guys were awesome. No pressure sales at all. I got an estimate and our sales person Jason was awesome and very knowledgeable, caring and kind. After looking at the price we decided to go with Black Hills. And we are definitely not sorry with our choice, the crew was on time, extremely professional, knowledgeable and worked very hard. They completely cleaned up after themselves and got our new AC up and running. We are extremely happy with their service. We highly recommend them to anyone who needs a heater/air conditioner installed or serviced.

    ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I recently had Black Hills Inc. help with a new furnace installation, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Curtis came out to evaluate my old furnace and found that the heat exchanger was not functioning properly, making it unsafe to operate. Jeff from sales provided a range of options, from good, better, and best furnaces to combinations with A/C units and heat pumps. The installation team, led by technician Theron and electrician Joshua, was highly professional, and they made the entire process stress-free. Although it was a significant investment, I feel confident in the decision, knowing I have Black Hills Inc. as a trusted partner for the future. I normally don’t write reviews, but their service was exceptional, and I highly recommend them!

When I first called I expected at least a couple of weeks wait time for a technician to show up, but was pleasantly surprised when I got the same day appointment and following consultation and appointments were just as prompt.     We had an emergency septic issue and luckily, a neighbor was having some work done by a Black Hills Inc tech while I was asking the neighbors for some help. He said he could check with his dispatcher to see if they could get someone out sooner than the other company I called. Turned out they made him available and he came right over. He gave me some options and prices to do the initial job and then got to work. Great communication and good work. Pricing feels high, but in an emergency it also felt fair and about what I expected.

    This is my second review for a second visit. I always get good service. Today was no different. I had a problem with my heat pump making too much noise. Unfortunately the tech could not duplicate the problem because we needed a colder temp. We weighed all the possible causes and cost to repair should the units quit. Anyway I have no choice but to pay for a service call but then the tech helped me make a decision and for that I am thankful. It cost a lot to make major repairs for these mechanical pains in the axx so I have no choice but to wait until the heat pump decides to totally quit. I like Black Hills and have dealt with several of their peopleThey have always been knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

    Steve and Justin were a life saver. During a crawl space inspection Steve spotted water coming from the water heater. Steve called for a plumber, Justin arrived in record time and was able to fix the leaks. I appreciate the quick response and their professionalism.     Had our thermostat stopped working late in the evening and furnace keeps on clicking. Called them and was scheduled early the next day. Fred is really respectful, informative and empathetic. He didn’t try to sell us anything and explained the benefits of membership properly as well as the parts needed to buy for the repair. As well as try to explained to us what happened. I love how they send e receipts with the pictures of the problem since our furnace is in the attic. Greatly appreciated and Highly recommended!

    I chose Black Hills based on their excellent rating and have been very impressed from the moment I contacted them for a furnace tune up and inspection. From the knowledgeable associate, Cole, that booked my request, the excellent communication and reminders in email and text of my coming appointment, to the technician, Ryan, that notified me he was on the way and arrived on time. Service was very thorough. Ryan answered all my questions and showed me all of the signs of aging on my older unit even though it has had minimal usage. He pointed out items that are no longer up to code and gave an excellent price list of suggested items that should be done to keep this unit in running order. I highly recommend this business.

    Having done most of our home repair, etc throughout our lives, it was a bit challenging to reach out for help. Our age prohibits us from doing most of the work nowadays. So we settled on Black Hills for some extensive maintenance on our house. My wife commented several times during the work how careful the crews were to make sure we understood the work, how friendly and up front the staff was during the work. It felt expensive but the staffs explaining, detailed photos and the quality of the work helped us understand, etc.Great service, great work.

    Black Hills completed a whole-house rewire for me in late August to eliminate a patchwork of live knob-and-tube that still existed throughout this 90-year old home. This was a massive, daunting undertaking. Black Hills under-promised and over-delivered.I have nothing but praise for the team: Roy, who scoped and advised on the effort and helped me understand what this would entail so I could prepare effectively (and mentally) and minimize surprises; Gabe and Brandon who did the lion’s share of the work and problem-solved countless one-off challenges that arise in a project like this with talent and good humor; and Rachel who picked up my calls and handled all the coordination for the project as I juggled various other contractor schedules.If you have an old home, these are your folks. The care they took to minimize damage in what is unavoidably a damaging process was notable. It was as if they were working on their own homes. They cut one (1) hole high on one room wall plus two out-of-sight access holes to rewire all of the main house, including every outlet and fixture. If you’ve ever been through this before, you know that is amazing! Their work would have been so much easier had they cut as many holes as other bidders advised me it would entail – two dozen, easy. Instead, Black Hills brought know-how coupled with a deep understanding and appreciation of these old homes to the task, saving me an immense amount of follow-up work while bringing everything is up to code, for the first time ever.Now I understand why the contractors bidding on other systems in this Summer of Big Projects gave me a knowing nod when I told them who was doing my electrical, and told me I’d gone with the best. A rewire is an intense thing to go through, so you want to do it with these guys. Thank you, Black Hills, with a big shout out to Roy, Gabe, and Brandon - you’re the best!

    I needed a service panel upgrade. The salesperson contacted me the same day. We met and decided that a service upgrade was the best option for what I needed at the time. Originally I was looking to upgrade my Mini Split unit that I purchased from them a few years back. Electricians arrived on time had everything ready to go and we just had to wait on Puget Power to turn the power back on. Work was done in around 2 hours. Thank you.

    Cole provided excellent customer service on the phone, offered a reasonably priced diagnosis within hours of my call with no emergency charge, and was helpful and friendly. Nate (Nathan?) arrived quickly and immediately got to work diagnosing the problem, a bad capacitor. After providing me with 2 options for replacement parts, Nate got us fixed up and the AC cranking again.     From the very beginning of dealing with Rachel on purchasing my system to the final installation the whole experience was very pleasant.I had an old electric furnace replaced with a heat pump system. The installers showed up with in one hour of me receiving a text they were on their way. They introduced themselves and went right to work. There was an issue with being able to install the system where we had originally planned. They offered several options. Once agreed upon, they went right to work. They spent 11+ hours completing the job. I should add I have a split level home which made it more difficult to do. Once done they showed me what had been done, made sure I understood how to operate it and made sure they cleaned up everything before they left. The technicians did a fantastic job, were very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend Black Hills to anyone. I couldnt tell if it was condensation at first. He was out within 30 min of placing the return call. He apologized, problem taken care of.Again IMO, the cost was bit higher than I thought it should be. Yet in return, the company keeps you up to date on what is going on.     This was our first time for a call with Black Hills and we were impressed with the courtesy and efficiency of the technician who responded to our call. We were happy to find a company that will respond to our calls if we need help with any of our heating, electric and/or plumbing problems. And the price was more than fair. Today was the first of three free inspections that go along with our membership in the Black Hills program and we are still very impressed with their knowledge and efficiency.Our second inspection was for the electric systems in our home. The technician was very good to explain each item as he went through the house. I was happy to have the inspection just for peace of mind and confidence that our house in good condition when it came to the electric systems as well as the plumbing inspection that was done earlier.Today, we had the duct system in our home cleaned by the Black Hills team. After what looked to me an excellent job of cleaning the duct work, the technician changed the batteries in my smoke alarms and offered the option of cleaning the dryer vent which was needed as well. They efficiently checked our heat pump system and then explained the issues we have in a non pushy format and explained alternatives.     We had a service call today (August 14). Our Black Hills Service technician was Brian. This service call was intended to do diagnostics on both the Heating Unit and Outdoor Heat Pump Unit. Brian installed a new filter in the Heating Unit (furnace).Brian made 2 recommendations: that we will evaluate and follow-up : one was replacing a Capacitor in the Outdoor Unit that is still under Warranty for $99.00 plus tax The other is installing Comfort Pass 2.00 for 15.75 a month plus tax.

    I will start from the beginning, several years ago our heat pump was acting up. We called 2 other local companies and both said it was the reverse valve (expensive repair) and tried to sell us new systems. I wanted a third opinion so I called Black Hills. The technician said its actually our compressor and that our compressor was still under warranty. After that, I only trusted Black Hills.About a week ago, Black Hills was out here to do their yearly maintenance (we have the maintenance plan), and after that things with our system started acting up. I was nervous and debated about sticking with a maintenance plan after that. But Travis (manager) called me first thing Monday morning and was very nice and quickly eased my anxiety and had a technician here to fix everything. Travis’ customer service was outstanding. I would also like to shout out Fred and Nathan. Very nice honest technicians. Im glad to know that when things happen Black Hills is quick to follow up and to fix things. Definitely recommend Black Hills if you want an honest company that isnt just trying to sell you a new unit or take advantage of their customers. Thank you Black Hills!

    I had a surprise plumbing issue and decided to take advantage of the Comfort pass I purchased with the new HVAC system. Again, we had a good experience with Black Hills. Their plumbing service is as exceptional as the HVAC service. Junior Ola did a great job diagnosing all problems and getting the repairs done ASAP. He is nice, knowledgeable and hard working. He was able to restore the heating duct and installed a vent in the foot of the cabinet. He did a great job, was very professional and friendly.     My problem began with a clogged bathroom sink which degenerated into several water leaks in the plumbing spilling water all over the floor. Tim arrived within hours of my call to Black Hills Home Services. He was courteous, professional and efficient in clearing the clog, fixing all the leaky sink plumbing, and installing a new faucet. I am more than pleased with his attention to cleanliness and safety especially during this Covid-19 period. Five stars to this company!Years later my well water pump quit on a Friday night. I called several companies, but it was again Black Hills, Inc. that responded. While they dont have weekend repair service they did respond on the weekend and scheduled my repair for early the following Monday morning. The new pump was installed and again the company proved itself reliable and people oriented. Another 5 star performance!Later when a broken pipe occurred, the same tech appeared within hours to repair it at no charge! Fantastic!
